you guys already bored of the new game mode? i just finished my first campaign. last showdown was marakesh and i just camped the tunnel until i killed the right target. how are your runs going?

you guys already bored of the new game mode? i just finished my first campaign. last showdown was marakesh and i just camped the tunnel until i killed the right target. how are your runs going?
the safehouse is really comfy they did a good job on it
Play Berlin
I Alt+F4 alot.
Are pc gays the most pathetic life form?
ever seen a linux user?
I still don't know what you're supposed to do with propane tanks.
accident spolsions
tasers can blow up gas?
and ignite oil
have you tried shooting them?
accident explosions
throw it near a target, then explode it with a gunshot, or a variety of other items (taser, the big one, breaching charge, etc)
alternatively if it's a target that smokes just throw it near where they smoke
They actually love if you attack them since they're pro-pain
Detonate them next to locked doors to convert them into not-locked doors
drop them near a target's patrol path, shoot them at just the right time, makes for a lot of solid accident deaths where nobody but the target gets hit
it bothers me more than it should that you lose briefcase tools when you lose a campaign
who the frick is breaking into 47's house and stealing his stuff?
Diana is actually still pissed off at 47 for killing her parents, and messes with the house whenever he fails while also nickel and diming him.
>homosexual OP advertising cheating in the OP
I choose... this one
Anyways... how do you deal with lookouts? I'm still unaware how they work. At least assassins are straightforward, they're just basic guards that follow some of the suspects. How do you tell who's a lookout? Also what do they even do besides try to alert the suspects to run from the map if they spot you? So far I don't have any method for dealing with them other than the "lol just don't get spotted"
i might be a homosexual and a cheater, but at least i'm not reddit spacing.
lookouts always see through your disguise. so if you are wearing a guard uniform and a civi has a white dot above his head, he is very likely a lookout. if these guys spot you they alarm all targets.
>reddit spacing.
disgusting newbie dont reply to me again
try and stop me, r*edditor
newbie
Lookouts are just civilians who see through every disguise. That's it.
they also instantly alarm the suspects should they see something suspicious or get scared, for example when noticing a bullet impact.
Wasn’t even the question dumbfrick
Should you unlock all the stuff in the story campaign first before doing freelance? Or is one play through enough?
Freelancer is the mode for people who have solved the main campaign. So yeah, you should unlock everything first, do some escalations and when you think you actually know the maps you can try Freelancer.
>So yeah, you should unlock everything first
I haven't even touched the Hitman 3 missions yet but I'm having a lot of fun discovering the maps. Somehow blundered into the underground in Berlin, almost botched the assassination, had to baseball bat the frickers in combat before they could shoot and then somehow found an exit randomly. It was great. Much more fun that the in/out runs of Paris or Sapienza.
Its up to how good you are. Freelancer doesn't give a frick about your feelings. It expects you to know the maps well.
you don't need to unlock everything, but you should play the main story a lot until you feel really comfortable with the maps
freelancer relies a lot on you knowing quick escape routes, which disguises can go where, etc
is this worth buying the full package for? i liked 1 and 2 a lot but got them both on sale, looks like i'd have to pay $50 still to upgrade
Yes. You can easily dump hundreds of hours into this game.
Cause a big distraction or evacuation. Like fire a gun in the air somewhere or set off a bomb and see if they run to it. You can also drop guns and make them have to clean them up.
man hokkaido gives some pretty cruel targets
how the frick am I supposed to get this guy without triggering combat. There's like a million guards here
throw a bomb in there
shoot him in the head, then shoot the witness and leave ez
Fire alarm
I figured out how to get him, but then an enforcer wallhacked when I sniped the other target on the helipad and I died
frick me
that's probably a lookout or assassin that caught you
they are crazy strong, have crazy senses and crazy aim and kill you in 1 or 2 bullets
it's like having multiple 47 on the map
it wasn't a showdown
someone just saw me threw a wall and I watched in instinct as literally every guard in the hospital became a witness instantly. Nothing I could really do
>not just getting him to pick up a duck then blowing it while standing next to an exit
buy a suppressed machine gun and kill everyone. it's not like you have silent assassin to worry about.
>throw propane tank
>shoot
>run & hide in nearby bathroom
>pic related
Good. Frick mask cucks.
what is the new game mode? i haven't touch hitman for a while now but have getting a slight hankering for it.
>on the 2nd hardcore showdown in sapienza
>took the peek a boo prestige because frick no having no guns
>mark a prime suspect by the cafe then head down to the church were the other half of the suspects are
>oh god i don't like this, there are so many fricking people around the church
>watching another prime suspect take part in a secret meeting which ticks another box
>spotted by a look out
>oh, oh no! i only have fricking dart guns and some explosives
>it only made all the hand off suspects flee
>actually just made it easier because nobody left had the right hair colour
>plant the phone for her to pick up then fricking jet to the mansion to drive away
Still worried seeing the other prime suspect run to the boat. Didn't realize lookouts caused certain meetings types to escape, I thought it was all the suspects.
>Haven Showdown
>One of the suspects wanders into my hut for god knows what reason
>Leaves into the shallow water
>Throw a banana at his head
>Leader eliminated
>Monkey business
Is this shit still confusing to buy? I own hitman 1+2 + dlcs which one of these do I buy since I don't own 3?
Buy World of Assassination
Buy Hitman 3 on eneba or similar
>spawn in marrakesh school
>die instantly
what am i even supposed to do
Literally how
If its the spawn in that small alley behind the school they literally gift you one of the best disguises (military officer)
whats with the sudden drop in presentation quality going from hitman "1" (hitman3) to hitman "2" (hitman3)? the cinematic videos are just stills now and the creepy g-man voice actor started way overacting it
Budget cuts after they were dropped by Square Enix
thanks thats good to know.
they had budget problems in 2 after square dropped them
3 goes back to normal cutscenes
I'm about to get into the series and I thought I had all the titles figured out, but what are the difference between these?
https://store.steampowered.com/sub/672746/
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/30335/HITMAN_World_of_Assassination_Deluxe_Pack/
And do people usually play with controller or keyboard for these games?
First one is the game.
Second one is DLC.
So buy both of those things for the complete new Hitman trilogy and DLC and all game modes and additions?
dlc isnt mandatory, but theres some good stuff in there. theres some poopy stuff too though.
unpopular opinion: i actually like the 3d stills cutscenes. i preferred 1's cutscenes, but i think 2 got undeserved criticism for it.
>dlc isnt mandatory, but theres some good stuff in there. theres some poopy stuff too though.
I'm not going to autistically try to sort through it all. I'm just going to play everything in order. Using both a controller and a mouse and keyboard because why not.
completely fair approach.
>both a controller and a mouse and keyboard
patrician
It's a third person stealth action game, but also you need to carefully snipe sometimes. Both just seems best.
>Using both a controller and a mouse and keyboard because why not.
a lot of people do that actually. Controller is more comfortable, but when you need to aim kbm is way better.
They should've kept the 3d stills in hitman 2 atleast. I remember this goofy ass SFM tier diana running animation in the last cutscene after haven
they did keep them, the dlc maps got actual cutscenes though
Literally me going through the game for the first time.
Me going through the Assassination Campaigns where your reason for disliking them is "collateral damage" and making a point of murdering as many innocent people as I possibly can while still getting away with it as a means to flex on the competition.
Boo
I must say I really like Freelancer mode. Plenty of bullshit, but I enjoy how you’re forced to think on your feet. It really gave a fresh breath of air to the game.
>showdown on miami
>rule out a few suspects
>run to one that is standing all the way at the ass end of the marina
>he's the correct one, no assassins or lookouts following him
well that was easy
Holy shit, I fricking suck ass at this mode.
Unless you like suffering, it seems like you need to have memorized all easy disguise locations and routes that don't require lockpicks/door hacks for all maps. They even changed shit like the biolab key in Sapienza not having its usual location, like it wasn't ballbusting enough to begin with.
>he hasnt played the game so much he could draw a crude map of every level by memory
back to story mode
Haven't played the series since 2 came out.
But yeah, that's the vibe I'm getting here.
that's why you just bring keyhackers on any map where you think you might need one
you gotta really think about your loadout before going into each mission
i dont remember any map perfectly and i do pretty well, the mode is kinda brain off mode once you start getting kitted with the silencers and snipers
>Unless you like suffering, it seems like you need to have memorized all easy disguise locations and routes that don't require lockpicks/door hacks for all maps.
Finally, a game getting rewarding end game content for players who actually played the damn game.
Just improvise. I played on and off over the years and I am managing to stuble through it.
>hardmode bank
>only available challenge is 2 weapons i dont have + silent assassin
>dont wanna take any risk so go without kit and lose obviously
>hardmode bank again
>50% of everything is an enforcer
>spend 80% of the time like im playing absolution and just constantly at 50-80% detection
>eventually get spotted thru the wall on the buggy spot at the top floor bathroom and die
this some bullshit
I've finished 5 campaigns, and failed 2
think im gonna try out hardcore mode
schizo newbie
Weill this mode finally break me from my autistic incessant need to silent assassin + garrote + no disguise?
as a saso autist myself, yes it will
I've never felt so free as I have in the freelancer, as the game doesn't outright penalize you for messing up for once, as long as you can contain the situation. Makes the entire experience more dynamic for me.
yes, it's extremely liberating to not have to worry about hiding bodies or killing guards.
Do they randomize/remove items during Freelancer? I've only played a bit because I still haven't played every map yet in campaign and I don't want to spoil them, but I tried one in Miami and the crowbar wasn't in the security office like I expected.
yes. it uses the master mode version and a ton of the items are gone. you need to be very familiar with the maps before you play freelancer.
They removed a lot of useful items and replaced most crowbars with rusty ones, some say it's randomized but I haven't confirmed it.
What is a rusty crowbar? I didn't know that was a thing.
It's just a one use crowbar
Wow, that sounds fricking moronic.
It's a rusty crowbar
talk me out of buying the stupid DLC
also am I moronic or are the 7DS guns not in freelancer at all? seems like a waste
yeah they aren't
which is a shame bc I love the slapdash SMG and the stupid flash gun
Buy the other one because that costume seems appropiate for chongqing at least. If you enjoy freelancer just buy one of them to support the IO boys
Yeah if you're a broccoli headed zoomer yeah go fo rit
i got me korn, i got me freelancer. life's good.
does closing the application on consle do the same as Alt+F4 on pc?
Yes
I always do that when doing ETs so yeah. (on PS4 atleast, no idea about other platforms)
>people say that Colorado or Ping Pong are the worst maps for freelancer
>it's actually Hokkaido
hokkaido is alright for normal maps with 1 or 2 targets. showdowns or lots of targets makes it a nightmare.
Colorado has been a nightmare for me so far
>try to play SA style
>run around carefully for 30 minutes doing nothing
>maybe clear the mission if thigns go well
>only get good money if the stars align
meanwhile
>bring nothing but a pistol and go loud the moment the mission starts
>kill everyone
>easily beat the mission
>get a frickton of money and free guns
i dont get it
So it doesn’t matter at all if you’re discovered as long as you complete the mission? I’ve been Washington time trying to SA/leave no witnesses, as I thought it would alert the targets in the next mission.
Doesn't matter if you alert targets if you go loud every mission anyway.
IOI names you level designer for Hitman 4. You get 6 maps. What locations do you pick?
>Bhutan- Monk monastery
>Iceland- Airport
>Canada- Hunting preserve
>Mexico- Day of the Dead in Mexico City
>America- Max security prison
>Russia- Nuclear power plant/research center
>Mexico- Day of the Dead in Mexico City
maybe this will be in their 007 game, it happened in Spectre
Just rewatched that full sequence late last night. And yes I did think of Hitman during that.
shit movie but that opening was pretty cool
Silva's escape from MI6 and disguising himself as a cop to assassinate M at Parliament in Skyfall, and the whole Miami Airport sequence in Casino Royale also reminded me a bit of Hitman. But mostly in the sense of disguises being used.
Moonraker also had a Carnevale scene so it's not that far fetched.
>evil romanian biolab
>vietnamese jungle with unexploded ordinance
>small alaskan town
>osaka or tokyo japan
>silicon valley data storage facility
>belfast ireland, killing some former IRA goon
>USA - Detroit
white bread checking at an all time high
>England - London Underground or Buckingham Palace
London Underground would be New York 2.0, Buckingham Palace would have fun disguise potential
>Spain - Madrid
Las Ventas, Spain's largest bullfighting arena
>Indonesia - New Guinea
Uncontacted tribe shenanigans
>Russia - Moscow
Kremlin infiltration
>Palestine - Bethlehem
nuff said
>Buckingham
>disguise as one of the palace guards
>target comes up to make fun of 47 thinking he can't react
>kill him when nobody's looking
>perfect alibi since the guards aren't allowed to move or react to tourists
>Norway - Luxury Ski Resort
On the surface this is a world class 5 star winter resort, but it's also home of an underground high society "biggest game" event where the rich release victims into the nearby forest and hunt them for sport. You are to obtain the guest list for this event and take out the hotel owner and organizer of the event (mandatory), after obtaining the list and learning the identity of the ones attending you are to take out at least 5 of them to send a message.
>The Pacific - Cruise Ship
A large luxury cruiser operating a high stakes illegal gambling business on international waters. Offering both a luxury vacation complete with an indoor water palace and a luxury casino where everything goes, the lower deck also hosts an underground event where debtors are pitted against each other in various games while the rich bet on their lives. Your target is the head of the Yakuuza and 2 of his associates next in line to replace him.
>Romania - Hostel
A small town hostel is secretly running an abduction service for an underground society of rich elite paying to live out their fantasies in any way they choose on victims of their choice. You are to find a way inside and take out its organizer and the top 3 of its funders.
>Amsterdam
This is a special assignment. Intel suggests this as the last known location of a notorious ring of Albanian traffickers. The contractor are paying you to retrieve his daughter and use your particular set of skills to find the ones responsible and to kill them.
>Texas - Max security prison
Your targets are the warden and 2 high priority prisoners. Infamous judge whose wrongful convictions led to the death of several innocents is now serving a sentence for rape, now using his wealth and authority to make sure his stay here a vacation. Ruthless neo nazi leader initially on death row but got off on a technicallity, while still using his contacts on the outside to murder on his behalf he is now scheduled for release.
(You)
>Chile - Amusement park
A very large amusement park whose lax stance on safety has led to the death of several, yet as a front for Chilean cartel money laundering the scandals have been widely swiped under the rug and the victims families gone largely ignored. You are to intercept an annual meeting with the cartel head and the owner of this park, and eliminate them both.
LET ME IN
I can't hold it in much longer..
Remote bombs and especially the small inconspicuous ones are stupidly powerful. Screw tranq guns and whatnot, proximity mines and remote detonation mines and the laser tripwire are THE tools to buy.
>Alerted Hokkaido
>No Combat
>No Witnesses
Alerted isn't even that much harder. It just means the suspect sees through your base disguise.
there's also more enforcers in general
but that's not a huge deal for people who know the maps well
alerted is really only a pain in the ass on showdowns because you can't get close to the suspects unless you wear a non-guard disguise
>YEAH HAHA... He's scared
>I heard someone crying... HE'S CRYING SOMEWHERE
>I've punched women tougher than you!
Was not prepared for that one.
why does the radio in Hokkaido sound so goofy, it just sounds like some guy making gibberish noises
accurate representation of japanese media
it sounds like sam hyde speaking japanese in his ford freestyle EoC video
DOMP EET
That fricked me over pretty good. I'd been saving for a decent pistol. Lost $11k there and next mission the silverballer spawned at the merchant and I was just a few k short.
>foodie/dehydrated trait
yep time to collect my free win
will ray tracing ever actually come to consoles? is it worth the performance decrease?
I literally can't tell the difference between ray traced shadows and normal shadows in the game.
Ray traced reflections make some maps look a lot better, but its not as crazy you think. The game still uses planar maps for windows and mirrors, so they look the exact same. Its only the shiny floors and objects that get better reflections.
Imo Hitman is a game that proves how much of a meme raytracing is. It proves you can have great reflections and lighting effects using existing processes. Most devs are just fricking lazy.
Honestly IOI did a pretty fricking good job with non-RT "reflections"
There's no point in tanking your FPS for that garbage.
true, i was blown away when i switched from xbox one to series x. i thought ray tracing was already on consoles and switched on by default. it's a really beautiful game and takes advantage of existing techniques
I don't find it worth the performance hit
the reflections and stuff in the distance looks fricking great but it tanks the fps so hard
What will it be this time Hitmen?
the meat broker has the funniest name so choose that one.
Kill the big pharma lobbyists
The dickyseur.
I only ever do Assassination and Pharma.
>hokkaido hardcore
>spawn on top at the tanto
>ok I'll just let guards spot me and escort me out of the tresspass area like usual
>walk up to the guards and they immediately go into combat and shoot me to death
lost a legendary weapon to that as well, what the frick
skill issue
isnt that a hostile area?
no, I started twice there on regular freelancer and they escort you out
That's a hostile area
That’s a hostile zone
>has tanto and legendary gun
>somehow dies to two guards
i killed the 2 guards but not the 30+ that came afterwards, on hc you have master rules and even if you're shroud you're not coming out on top with a silenced 9 round mag pistol when they clinch on you
>kill the two guards
>either run back to the starting point which should be far enough or get into the hospital through the ledge window, dispose of the bodyguard and run down the morgue which has enough empty space to wait out
skill issue
>get into the hospital through the ledge window, dispose of the bodyguard and run down the morgue which has enough empty space to wait out
post a webm of yourself doing that, it has to be on hardcore difficulty
Almost fricked up by killing the wrong guy but good enough.
this isn't on freelancer, on freelancer the guards are all the way at the base of the hill when you load in, so their first shots alerted the entire base, and if you tried to spend 5 seconds climbing towards the window you would be getting shot at constantly
try again
Do you guys play with minimap and instinct on?
yeah. Minimap is just useful for quick navigation and instinct gives me shit to do and look at while I wait for a target to get into position.
minimap is for casual Black folk but the game is nigh unplayable without instinct, especially freelancer
Nah the minimap is great
Actually it's the other way round. Minimap with icons, instinct off.
Imagine actually thinking Batman vision is NOT the casual Black person feature...
Yes because I'm a filthy casual.
yeah
i'm just here to kill people
mini map yes instinct no. I rp hitman pretty hard, mini map could be written off as having studied the location ahead of time but no amount of training can give you x-ray vision
This game is makin' my 1070 feel odd, bros......
I’m running the game fine on a 1060.
How would you fix Freelancer
>Poisons should either not be consumable, or they part of a fixed stock vendor. Its moronic to get a poison target mission and not be able to complete it because Diana and the merchant didn't have any. You are 47. You should have access to poison if you need it.
>Exiting the map with a disguise should unlock it as a starting disguise for that map. But of course if you don't leave it behind on the next run, you no longer have it. Mostly just because I like collecting shit.
>Restart button. Everyone f4s anyway. This just saves some loading time.
>How would you fix Freelancer
Why? It's perfect.
you get FREE poisons once you unlock enough stuff in the safehouse, it's a nonissue
Really, which room?
shed and infirmary both have poison distillers
don't remember what level, but it's not ridiculously high. I'm level 38 and I have both of them
as soon as you can go outside (lvl 12 I think) you can go fishing and prepare the poison on the kitchen table. you will not always catch a fish, sometimes you get driftwood or fishing line and the fish itself gives you a randomised poison.
just go fishing at your safehouse. you also need the knife from the dartboard
when you upgrade the house a bit you can make poison yourself, and it's a self replenishing item just like everything else in the house
kinda feel you on the second one
restart button is never happening
I just want them to make the suspects a bit easier to identify and differentiate. When there's 4 of them it's fine from from 6 upwards it's just a chore to navigate the map when there are at least 2 suspects and their entire entourage of assassins and lookouts at every corner.
I don't even bother iding them. I simply kill anyone who glows blue until Diana tells me I'm done.
poison objectives show up on big pharma simply dont pick big pharma if you dont have collector's sieker/tranq
plus and im not just talking about you, people that i see play generally focus way too much on side objectives that give scraps of merces, the real big bank comes from safes and couriers, on new york you can also wrench out additional merces from the vault and its not uncommon at all to be up 20k merces from new york every time you complete it
i've gotten escorted out of the area before so it's not
I don't know how to open safes. It tells me there should be clues nearby, but I've never found one.
there are either documents lying closeby or tablets. just scan them with your camera
go into instinct and you'll see clues highlighted
the 3 types are tablets, documents, and a laptop. Usually 2 will be in the same room, and then the third will be somewhere nearby
Either scan shit in the same room or the general close area or blow them up. Just pull out the camera and start scanning the room.
friendly reminder that if you have a poison guard or poison target objective you can just use one of the dart pistols
button. Everyone f4s anyway. This just saves some loading time.
IOI and purist autists on the hitman forums will never allow this despite that a huge amount of players do this and think these perma fail challenges are just annoying
1-4: I buy a bottle of vodka
5-9: I buy the cosmetic DLCs
0: both
imagine a hitman with freelancer as part of the core design and not a janky low budget update
imagine my throbbing wiener inside your mouth
throwing a crowbar at someone's face when im standing a foot away from them will never not be funny
been playing since release cant get farther than this
Does anybody know if suspect get alerted if one of them died in an accident?
Btw for whoever asked about dart guns -- they don't break SA - no firearms.
Just save up for crowbar and s silenced gun. It will get easier.
take it slow. don't just rush in and blow someone's brains out like a moron.
>random dude falls on his ass because of a banana
>the whole city is in lockdown
>call the guards
>protect the target
>everyone go search for the suspect
>kill on sight
They really needed to spend more time fine tuning AI reaction to shit like this.
>make target slip objective
>SA prestige objective
>if someone witnesses the target slip it kills SA
>but if someone just finds the body is doesn't
what the frick IO that's not how the banana is supposed to work. It's a pure accident subdue like the kalmer
>that feel when capping guards indiscriminately because you don't even lose Matt Mercers for it
I always just pop guards that I think could cause problems for me later kek
I've killed most of the bodyguard staff on Hokkaido by now, that doctor by the door out to the cllffside has been freaking out for 10 minutes now because every guard that walks outside gets headshot
¯_(ツ)_/¯
?t=181
i always think of this when i'm playing freelancer and killing 10-30 non-targets every mission just to speed things up
you lose 50 for non-target kills
chump change but it adds up when you're wiping out whole maps
thats only civilians. guards are green lit.
the upper floor of the hospital on hokkaido is suffering in freelancer
even when you're wearing the high security disguise it's just fricking littered with enforcers and the sightlines are miserable. Is it like that in the main game? I honestly never go to the top floor in regular contracts
are collateral kills feasible with shotguns because I really don't want to carry a sniper briefcase through hokkaido
yes, as long as you aim for the head and aren't using a complete trash shotgun
I only have all the bartolis and the enram
had the sawed off and lost it doing something stupid
ive tried a few times and never even got a hitmarker on the 2nd guy. it might be possible but its very inconsistent.
>tfw getting all those "kill guards with sniper" optional objectives, but the only sniper I own is the sieger I got for my first syndicate
Every time I take it into the field I am afraid.
And once I actually almost forgot to take the suitcase with me before leaving :-DDD
Anon, you don't need to take a briefcase, any big weapon automatically spawns in one in the mission.
I know, but if I want to leave the level in plain sight I can't carry the rifle on my back.
I like taking sniper objectives on syndicates with Ambrose, Mendoza, and Berlin because you can open carry snipers as a guard on those
I've spent like 2 hours trying to get to level 20 mastery on NY, frick this is so tedious, what fricking butthole decided there should only be one target
Challenges count as soon as you do clear them, without finishing the level, so you can just reload/restart as soon as the challenge completed notification appears.
I feel you. It took me quite a while. But like that anon says you can farm challenges by saving and loading. It's not a tonne of fun but it's not terrible
I'm not enjoying it really bros
It seems that randomness just makes it so you get one chance and if you frick up, it's time to just play it like a shooter
The targets don't really seem to have any triggers to get them to specific points so it seem like I'must fricking around trying to abuse the AI
skill issue
consider that SA doesn't matter so nothing's off the table when trying to get them into a position you can kill them and survive. panic them, set off fire alarms, or just blow their brains out and have an escape plan.
Does anyone else kinda hope they remaster Blood Money and earlier Hitman maps and add it to WoA?
that would be really dope but it would probably be too much work.
Less work than making Hitman 4, surely?
the old maps would pale in comparison in terms of opportunities and scale (look at an image of any blood money map from birds eye), so they'd have to expand and redesign it, at which point they might as well make something new or similar.
>nothing to spend currency on since even collectors items will vanish on failure
Killed my motivation to play
You buy the collectors items so they frick off from the suppliers for ever and you get better shit
Just bought it, already owned 1+2.
Any tips for the mode before jumping in after this 70gb fookin shite finishes downloading?
in the early part of your first campaign, don't get bent out of shape about objectives being impossible
when you start getting epic/legendary guns, don't take them with you unless you need them
do not try hard to get SA unless you have an objective for it. Guards are now cannon fodder
don't be afraid of killing people. you don't lose mercers for killing civs or guards, actually there are challenges that give you mercers for killing guards with certain weapons
>you don't lose mercers for killing civs or guards
Wrong. You lose money for killing civs, just not enough to make a difference if it's just collateral damage.
you lose money for killing civs but it's negligible
guards have no penalty
the only real penalty is -1000M for killing non target suspects in showdowns. I'm actually okay with that penalty though because in the beta the meta was just to kill all of them as fast as possible
It's just a shame you get those penalties off your balance instantly instead off your payout, would be way funnier if you killed all the wrong suspects and not only get not paid, but actually have to pay extra.
you lose 50 mercers
Really? that's barely anything
you lose 50 for killing civilians, you don't lose anything for killing guards
>after this 70gb fookin shite finishes downloading
Hitman 2 was ~150GB, so the file size of 3 is significantly better.
>I've killed so many bodyguards that now doctors and surgeons are wandering around outside freaking out
wew
Idk if it's been said but the appearance/who is the target is predetermined before you even load into the last mission btw, I alt F4-ed part way through and reloaded, and my starting location, all the target locations, the clues, their routines, and who the target was were all the same from before I got stuck on something and died accidentally lol
*cue Forrest Gump theme*
>Diana always said life was like a box of agency stuff. You never know what you're gonna get.
good point. it still probably wont happen though, they're making that 007 game aren't they?
Yeah, it's their next project.
I don't know if they have multiple teams though or if everyone works on the same thing at once.
no offline mode no rating system
The mind ponders, "why is this allowed?"
>no witnesses objective
>shit hits the fan a bit in the mission and it says I have 3 witnesses to kill
>instinct shows no witnesses on the whole map
uhhhh okay
Changed disguise since?
no that's why I'm so confused
searched the whole map and not one person was highlighted orange
People who witness bodies are also witnesses despite not being orange.
oh that's fricking bullshit then
if you're gonna put a counter on the objective there needs to be a way to see them
do i need to play through the story first before doing freelancer?
the idea of building up a safehouse seems pretty comfy
is there anything stopping me from going loud every mission and failing repeatedly to rank up mastery? i understand you lose your shit if you fail but it's not like its hard to pick up another gun
i have played every hitman incorrectly as a psycopath, i have never felt the need to go silent outside the missions that autofail if you don't
>do i need to play through the story first before doing freelancer?
yes. you should at least max mastery on every level first. if you cant quickly navigate the maps and dont already know all the side paths, youll have a bad time in freelancer.
that's annoying, i unlocked a bunch of shit in 1+2 but couldn't find a way to transfer my saves since i don't remember registering an account
thanks anon
load up your copy of 2, make an account, transfer your progress to 3.
yeah, you should definitely do this. i can't transfer my winter suit because ill lose all my fricking progress if i do.
blargh not worth downloading again
easier to just start another game over again as a refresher course
thanks
It's not the unlocks that are important but the map knowledge. I think people are exaggerating when they say you should reach full mastery on all levels. The gamemode is substantially more punishing than the standard game but if you want to play freelancer, play freelancer.
you need good knowledge of levels for freelancer
play the normal missions first, until you get 20 lvl mastery on each and everyone of them
you don't need to unless you wanna unlock some cool suits, you should play through the game though, so you can get a feel of the maps
Story targets are far more fleshed out than the meme randomized ones so you'll be missing out on a lot.
It can be helpful to do one of the story missions each in every level to understand the layout and what places area usually off limits, etc. As you cannot save in freelancer and reload
But that said, it's definitely not mandatory. If you're familiar at all with Hitman you'll be fine.
If not, just take it slow and if a dude tells you not to go somewhere, then generally you'll have to find an alternate way/get the right disguise
Story wise, you get mission stories and generally 'more' ways that are scripted to kill targets but freelancer deoesn't really have that
>One Hitman thred after another.
>Each of them hits the bump limit.
When did nitwits like you get so tasteful?
More like 5-10 people spam-sucking each other to bump limit.
Who hurt you sweety?
U MAD????????????????????
It's a fun mode, I just have a ton of other stuff to play at the moment.
i heard if you reach full mastery in freelancer diana calls you and you get to frick her.
Does it at least de-age her too?
frick that I NEED HAGS
I thought was just discussing her breast milk
yeah that was leaked beta dialogue within hitman 3's files
they used robert de niro face deaging tech to make her look younger. it's a full 2 hour unskipable scene.
>first hardcore showdown
this some BULLSHIT
timed - get disguises is the easiest of those as long as you stay on top of it
thats what I did and I cleared it
>no starting gear besides guard pistol + briefcase
>go through 3 targets and tick them off
>run towards the beach mansion (haven)
>across the water look at a target that matches the description
>yolo like 8 bullets with the shitty guard pistol
>leader eliminated
>posting outdated screenshots from the main mone
post your SASO only freelancer hardcore or stop talking dumbass
Do you know how moronic you sound? Do you even understand English?
>"it's difficult to do it"
>"no, it's easy, you just need to do it"
>use disguises
>do not use disguises
So is this a bug?
Those are literally the 3 easiest prestige you could ask for.
>easiest
>when there is shit like "headshot target with X rarity silenced pistol"
>SASO when the target can spawn into hostile territory
>SA without gun so you can't shoot cameras that are everywhere
play more
>Can't do every map SO by now
Sounds like you actually need to play more.
>Colorado
>No Witnesses
>No Combat
I picked the wrong fricking syndicate
Bank the best freelancer map. There is free money inside the vault, and also the safety deposit boxes can spawn rare items. I got a legendary and epic dagger in the same run from them.
So which version of the game do I but to get the "full package" now? Do I have to buy multiple things? And how much does it cost? IO is definitely losing some sales by having so much confusing bloat on steam.
How do you make targets slip?
you drop a banana peel on the ground, not like normal quick dropping it but you have to place it on the ground.
bananan
banana, or on new york get extremely lucky with target selection and make them slip in a puddle
What's the creepiest shit in this game that you encountered? I remember going through the neighborhood map and finding that dead body in that vacant house.
probably the silence of a map after doing a kill everyone run.
There's a glitch in Hitman Blood Money in the mission with the agent you have to help
The hallway where you get to that area where he's at. the game glitches and you can open the door without the keycard and progressing down the hallway randomly kills you
i like how 47 punctures people skulls with the banana, how unripe is that thing?
So what happens when you shoot a supplier?
Favorite starting suit(s)?
number six with gloves or the absolution suit, i wish the absolution suit didn't have those moronic looking driving gloves.
depends on the map
hot locations
>florida fit with gloves
>tropical suit
>summer suave
hokkaido
>snow festival suit
new york
>winter suit
whittleton creek
>summer sightseeing
Should I buy Hitman 2 for 10 dollars or just go straight to WOA? I already own 2016.
WoA has all the content from the trilogy plus more, no reason to play the older ones.
>inb4 but my obscure escalations from 2016
Oh 3 came out? Guess I gotta grab that later. I liked 1 and 2.
Oh is it actually out for everyone? I'll have to give it a try.
I lost my first mission
Can I not fricking restart?
Yeah that's it I'm done. Been playing since release can't make any progress. Frick this mode.
how can you be this bad
the regular missions are just random contracts
its hard
you were baiting in here last night
Just stop
You think I purposefully lost all my money to bait or something?
Losing money in this mode doesn’t mean much, so yeah
Maybe if you're actually good at the game.
Whats up with that laser vault in Whittleton? Is there a way to get in?
It's from the regular story. Play it and you'll see.
It has no purpose in freelancer.
I've got full mastery on the map and still don't know what it is.
you didn't do all the mission stories then
Its not a mission story, moron. Stop posting.
not him, it is a mission story. youre moronic.
No it isn't you fricking moron. There is a mission story to kill him in the hallway before the vault. You don't enter the vault for the mission story. Stop fricking posting if you haven't played the game.
oh you mean the hallway full of lasers? the one that we're talking about?
Yes. There is a vault door at the end of it. According to Reddit there is apparently a sword inside. You don't go there as part of the story mission though.
>purposefully obfuscating the question so you can seem right via technicality
absolute midwit behavior
there is no technicality, the point was whether or not it's a mission story, and it is, so he's still wrong and still trolling because calling people shills isn't getting replies anymore
The vault itself is a secret, its not a mission story. The mission story is the laser trap in front of the vault. You never enter the vault as part of the story.
you have to be pretending to be stupid.
samegay
play the game
I didn't play Hitman 3 maps too much ever since I pirated it 2 years ago and have no motivation to go through them, so I almost go blind on these maps.
Still online only right? Could play it on GamePass for a month but would rather just have an offline version.
GOOD MORNING SIRS!
>Get Mumbai in syndicate
>One of the targets is the girl who don't kiss him
I bet he's the one who paid me to kill Karishma
I like how accurately they portrayed Indians in Hitman, nasty little arrogant shitters.
Is there a way to fix the spazzing lights in the runway mission? When camera flashes happen it just lights up the whole screen
set vsync to 2
this will halve your framerate though
thats a bug thats been in the game for like a year. people says its related to vsync but ive tried all combinations of settings in game and in the nvidia control panel. nothing fixes it except a game restart. sometimes it just goes away when you play a new level.
just found out that "collateral" kills only have to be within one second of each other and feel like an butthole for trying this hard to kill two people with one shotgun shot
why do the shotguns suck so badly when you're more than 5 feet away from someone
Does the game notify you if the leader has escaped? I killed the wrong guy and triggered an evacuation on the other side of the map, but there are suspects remaining and Diana hasn't told me I've fricked up yet
must mean the target's still on the map.
>walk ten steps foward
>target now can be an enforcer
>walk ten steps back on the same fricking platform and target is no longer an enforcer
the frick?
Does 7 deadly sins or the other non-main-trilogy addons include gameplay stuff or just cosmetics?
I didn't realize you lost ALL your tools when you failed a campaign
So I guess there's no reason to not take shit if there's inventory space.
>When a game is so shit they have to include the 2 previous games.
>when anon is a Black person
>bottom text
where are you guys getting all these cool suits, deluxe edition, elusive, or freelancer unlocks? if there are esclation suits then shit honestly i never got into escalation mode and i dont know if i ever will.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2725872637
Look for a suit you like, then unlock it.
damn, i'm not trying to grind out the main story missions and suck out all the fun out of the game. I just want to play freelancer. grinding out main story missions until mastery 20 for a couple of suits does not sound fun.
Here, let me spoon feed you suits that don't require max mastery
>Turtleneck
finish the ICA tutorial missions
>Santa suit
complete the Paris christmas mission
>snow festival suit
complete the Hokkaido snow festival
>polar survival suit
complete a 5 minute challenge on Hokkaido
>wetsuit
finish a certain escalation in Hawkes Bay
>Sandman suit
do a challenge on an escalation (Hawkes Bay)
>Summer Sightseeing

>Florida Fit
Import from 2 or do a challenge in the Dartmoor Garden escalation
>rave on

>garish track suit, neon ninja (oh god, my eyes), lucky ducky
Elusive Target Arcade
After that there's just the various Elusive Target suits, the suits you get for linking an IOI account, DLC suits, etc.
>hardcore sgail
>royally frick up and now shooting my way through the level
Christ.
many such cases
The warehouse is now body storage.
FRICK! Died to some homosexual with a pistol after shooting most security.
Whelp. No more hardcore, got 3/4 of the way through but really had no fun at all playing it.
frick hardcore, I'm not a huge fan of alerted territories already, every territory being alerted sounds like a nightmare, and you have to complete all objectives too right?
Just the prestige, feel you can just get fricked over due to RNG. Very first map I got was
>kill target with epic/legendary unsilenced pistol
>had none
>kill target with epic/legendary uhsilenced shotgun
>had none
>only one left was a fricking silent take downs
>it's santa fortuna and the targets are all over the map
Even from that very first map I knew I'd dislike the mode.
I just had a run end after the collateral explosion somehow didn't kill both ppl even though it was on top of the two, it killed the last target and I just walked out of the map to a campaign failed screen. Feels so fricking dumb. It would be fun if not for the prestiges being so stupid like x2 of them are always kill with (weapon you dont have) or silent assassin variations which is honestly too much in a mode with increased cameras enforcers and no access to basic gear, especially when I don't want torisk bringing gear to hardcore maps knowing that the game can just give me an unwinnable set of prestiges.
Why is Nu-Mans sales figures on VGCharts not being reported lads? I dont get it?
Why are gamers always so obsessed with sales figures? You don't get a royalty. Why do you give a shit?
What do you mean?
>Record Profits
How can they have record profits when H2 was down 90% on sales from pre-pozzed Absolution?
I'll tell you why.........LIES
Shitman is a globo homosexual ridden train wreck of a failure and no paid shill on here can do anything to save it, only a dumb minority of gamers are still playing it and even these idiots are now smelling the rat.
cope
>Hitman 3 sales literally off the charts
>DLC way shittier than H1 and H2 dlc.
I hate this shit. Why didn't they reinvest any of that money?
HOLY BTFO
Is 47 canonically a virgin? Do you think he jerks off to the time he saw Diana naked?
Forgot pic of naked Diana.
>showdown tells
Can they atleast give us fricking binoculars or something jesus christ the camera fricking sucks
also remove tattoos io u nigs
It’s weird because the camera in regular mode doesn’t have those grid lines. I literally can’t see shit. Surely that’s not how it is supposed to be.
camera isn't so bad, you can take a picture to pause the game and get a good look at them, plus you can zoom in from a distance
i'd love binoculars anyway though
>go to knock out a guard
>he turns his head a fraction of an inch to the side
>MISTAH- ACK
>Unconscious Witness
Had my first showdown
holy shit this is so fricking terrible
Like 90% of the 'game' is just carefully running around the level trying to work out who is who
I don't mind the hunting part but fricking hell, the levels have the suspects all spread out that it's clearly just done to kekep you playing longer
I was actually enjoying it until the game became 'run from one side of the map to the other'
showdowns are objectively terrible and i dont get how anyone can enjoy them.
The showdowns are the worst part of the game mode. But honestly only because of the fricking lookouts
The suspects usually aren't even spread out. Almost all of the interact with one another. And once you get a phone, you can bait others. Its not that hard.
Glad to see you guys having fun. I loved 1 and 2. Will never buy 3 though because they sucked the Epic wiener. Hopefully they unfrick their release structure with Hitman 4.
I bought 3 on kinguin or some key site for as little as possible to spite them for their bullshit.
I'm a newbie to WoA. Should I leave all the challenges for later after beating the whole story, or should I try to 100% each level before moving on?
Generally you'll want to play it until you get bored of the level
Also, you don't need to beat it to unlock the challenge - you can just save, kill someone with say, the fiber wire so it counts, then reload and kill them by shooting, etc
You'll burn yourself out quickly if you grind for 20/20 mastery one at a time, best to replay each mission a few times until you want something fresh and move on.
most levels will max way before you do all the challenges.
imo, play a level 2 or 3 times, move on to the next. then when youve played them all, go back and hit mastery for each one, but dont grind too much on one level.
Just try to get to max mastery and unlock all the items you can each level. There's no real need to do EVERY challenge, but try and aim to at least unlock everything as you go through.
Bros this gamemode suits my autism perfectly I am in heaven and I will play this forever
What are you doing? We're supposed to be getting these idiots to buy this crap, you're making it too obvious.
Meds
Instinct = cheating btw
so is showing NPCs on map
The funniest thing I've found to do lately is go into any random small viewer stream and post
"My favorite thing to do in this game is kill all the n.......I.....g......g.....e......r.....s :)"
Their reactions are always hilarious
Ha! Funny. Your hate speech has been noted and reported to site admins and the police. I will take this further. Cheers!
Ha
But it's so funny to see their reactions because the game is popular again now
>Cop outfit (or game warden or whatever the frick he is)
>Police baton
>Whittleton Creek
Yep. Its Black person skull bashing time.
Just posted it, one streamer is laughing but his cuck mods banned me lmao
lol based streamer
Yeah white redneck looking dude. I'm gonna make a reaction collage
So are you only supposed to select the Blow-Up-A-Safe prestige objective on maps that happen to already have a safe?
I thought it would spawn one, but I don't think it did.
Collector's items shouldn't be lost if you fail a mission, as it is nobody in their right mind would even bother trying to take one into a mission because you'd just lose it if you mess up
>spends 30k on an item
>doesnt use it
yes
>The bank gives you money for breaking into the vault
Nice. Any other maps have money drops like that?
>get japan
>every fricking disguise is now tresspassing in the starting morgue area including the guard and doctors
intresting
Why is the mod that changes face variations gone?
Hitman 2 face still works to me.
>despite that a huge amount of players do this
you and 2-3 losers on Ganker don't count for "huge amount"
>twitch account banned and deleted
Can you rebuy any of the collectors or ornamental weapons in the safehouse without finding them randomly in a supplier's inventory?
If not, why not?
how soon should I expect a similar or deeper discount? kinda have my plate full atm but I thought the PS2 games were neat when I was little.
it doesn't go on sale as often as other games
you likely won't see it for 45% off again until summer sale
>place banana in front of a courier
FRICK hardcore mode
subdue all lookouts
kill all lookouts
frick lookouts
giving it a try
oh god
So what sort of prestiges do you think would be better than some of the garbage we have?
What about stuff like "No security disguises/only kill when wearing security disguises"
Good luck anon. I wouldn't take anything good into the maps, all it takes is one prestige to frick it all up.
first mission and this is already intense
so much thought has to go on which target you use the prestige objective on. Spent like 3 minutes here until I decided not to do it on this fricker. Ignore the no combat fail, it took it away from me even though I did silent takedowns, frick off IO
I think it means killing via explosions and accidents. No take downs or anything.
The no combat is a shit optional anyway and half the time I see it, it's paired with ones that want combat.
>could have 500 for no combat
>or 5000 for doing 3 combat related ones
Anyway, IMO slow and steady does it with this mode.
first mission was a success
fricking OR..........SON almost triggered combat as I was running after killing the first target but I got away in time. This is gonna be an adventure
>see 2 suspects having a meeting
>throw a duckie at them
>blow it once I'm far enough away
>one of them was the leader
feels good just completely negating all the time wasting showdowns expect you to do
How do I best enjoy the Campaign? SASO, then Mission Stories? Or Mission Stories, then SASO? Also, thoughts on savescumming?
Play campaign then do SASO runs to unlock the good stuff.
This. I usually do SA on my first run but I go back and SASO. Once I play more freelancer I'll try some blind mission story shit then turn on all the hints later.
I usually chuck on a video or podcast to help with challenge grind though.
Should I do all the Mission Stories before I move on to the next map?
not necessary unless you really want to do it
some of them are fun, others are really tedious. None of them really help you learn the maps very much aside from where a few disguises are allowed to explore
>Also, thoughts on savescumming?
Resetting is always okay. Savescumming is not.
The game's AI is incredibly buggy and can see stupid shit but you gotta just deal with it.
Are you guys leaving all the gameplay/hud elements on for Freelance?
>Not compromised
>Not in combat
>Not detected
>In disguise
>Dude opens fire on me with an SMG and kills me
Are there equipment you can keep permanently even if you die or fail a campaign?
anything in the glass case is safe forever. anything with you when you die is gone.
NTA but basically anything I have in my inventory when I leave is kept so that means one use items like explosives, have to be bought/found in that RNG box?
in rare cases stuff like that can be found in the map. like theres a remote explosive you can keep in the tunnel of marrakesh.
47 sure likes starting as a corpse
>plug the guard behind the sushi bar and go to dump him off the cliff
>the nervous surgeon somehow sees me through the floor of the surgery area
fricking bullshit
Is this shit worth while? Or is it all cosmetic stuff?
if you cant read the picture you posted, how do you expect to read my answer?
I more meant is it worth it. 7 deadly sins in particular is not clear if it's just cosmetics and some shitty "challenges" slapped on existing stuff
So maybe just grab the hitman2 premium stuff then.
>7 deadly sins in particular is not clear if it's just cosmetics and some shitty "challenges" slapped on existing stuff
its escalations with cosmetics and couple pretty good unique items.
7 deadly sins is mostly shitty escalations. From playing it only 2 of the 7 were good
people only buy it because it has very useful unlocks, the sedative mine, the flash gun, a concealable SMG, and pretty cool suits
It has New York bank and Haven Island levels +2 sniper levels so yeah really worth it.
>marking suspects
>all features perfect match
>other activities perfect match
>isn't the target
Yeah its great.
The target will always exclusively do the 2 behaviours in the description
So if you're looking for a guy that smokes, and go drink, and that out of nowhere he starts reading a book, then it is most definitely not him
>other activities a perfect match
Reading is hard, huh?
Frick off if you don't want any help then homosexual.
the descriptors are exclusive. if it doesnt say they have a necklace, then your target isnt wearing a necklace.
no need to be angry because youre wrong.
I've also had
>target does not match the description
>is the target
>Collector's Concussion Duck
>Still lost when you lose a campaign
?
>those dialogues when you approach a supplier
Who greets a hired undercover killer with things like "need something? I got you covered" out loud? Also 47 saying things like "that's nice" feels just wrong, and the supplier ending the conversation with a "come back anytime" like this is a regular shop ugh.... Just let me interact with the person, no smalltalk.
>why yes, I like to pick NY Bank in the campaigns, how did you know
>free merc farm
>relatively small
>extremely easy to get around and avoid guards if you already know the map well
it truly is the best
You'd think after having their bank robbed 100+ times by the same conspicuous bald man they would get it
Payday 3 is supposed to take place in New York, so I'm just waiting for the Payday gang to show up and realise 47 has already looted the place.
>feature: tattoo
>tattoo is just one hard to see thing on his hand, not longsleeve
This feature sucks, and the earrings on man also
Why am I losing merces when i kill the wrong suspect? they are all still "bad" guys right? And why is there an achievement to kill them if it's making me lose money?
they added a penalty for killing incorrect suspects because in the beta speedrun autists were just killing all of them until they got the correct one
blame speedrunners for everything
its a gameplay concession to incentivize actually using the mechanics. the challenge is just for fun and/or a pity prize for people that refuse to deduce the target.
ONE OF THESE DAYS I'LL LEARN HOW TO DO THE COLORADO MISSION WITH THE FIBER WIRE ONLY AND NEVER GETTING DETECTED WHY CAN'T I BE A PRO GAMER LIKE YOU GUYS????????????????????????????
hey calm down
How can one little dialogue with a literal who NPC be so kino?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA I keep getting cucked by the frisk points in the ICA station in chongching.
>have analyst suit
>walk right up to frisk point
>hey man nice suit
>huh guess i don't need to be frisked in this disguise
>walk through
>HEY I CAN'T LE- *starts blasting*
>have red security guard outfit
>wanna do something on the surface before taking the target out
>back in ica facility
>assume for sure they won't frisk their superior
>take 1 step past the frist point
>HEY MA- BLAM BLAM BLAM
>in ica facility
>wearing guard outfit but need to go level deeper
>find outfit in changing room
>walk out of changing room same way i entered
>HEY MA- BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM
fricking hell
seriously i wish they would tell me i can't pass earlier than 1 microsecond before i walk past them.
I don't think I ever did a frisk since i know the way through the elevator or the trapdoor near the arcade room
>not avoiding the F-tier maps like chongqing and sgail
this is why i always pause in front of a guarded path for a second. they always have a slightly too delayed response. to be fair, we're probably just impatient and trying to sprint through like a suicide bomber is pretty suspicious.
it would be nice if they finished telling me they won't let me past without a frisk before unloading on me
There should be a prompt. like how there's a prompt with instructions to pick up the item
I think it's 'press x to get frisked' or something
>finish hardcore mission
>results fail to load bc always online bs, kicks me back to the main menu
>log back in
>have to play the mission again
very VERY cool IOI!
I'm so shit at these games. Just bought 3 and booted up my first run of Freelancer, got a series of missions conveniently all in Hitman 1 locations. Killed my target at the Morrocan embassy with a good old brick + snap but had to shoot a guard to death who saw me.
It feels so fricking weird killing non-targets and not reloading/restarting. I feel... Free.
freelancer allows a lot of improvisation but still punishes hard for mistakes. If you cause a bunch of guards to become insta-witnesses you're just fricked, but if you're quick on the trigger you can contain situations
it's very different from the main game but it's pretty cool
>civilian saw me headshot a guard
>point gun at him because No Witnesses
>he starts apologizing and begging for his life
>greeding for 1k merces and almost dying while carrying 100k+ merces worth of gear
I just take a banana every mission to Mario Kart a courier, literally 0 effort mercers
How can you take a banana with you?
theres one in the kitchen
there's always 2-3 of them, i have a collector's tranq but i run into inventory issues since i also wanna run the sieker, and sometimes a sniper as well
don't you lose the dart guns once the ammo is used up?
It honestly feels like Freelancer was meant to be played like Asscreed
In that you can use stealth for a bit but then the moment your target is down, just fricking book it and run and get to the exit and 'you win'
There's very little penalty for having a witness or being hunted I find so there's little incentive for playing SA
it still gives the option to go for SA at least, if you're someone who really wants to do it you just pick a stealthy syndicate and it will usually give SA as a prestige objective for most of the missions
>just fricking book it and run and get to the exit and 'you win'
One of my favourite exits was killing a target in broad daylight with an unsilenced shotgun in Columbia, then triggering the helicopter exit while 10 guards were shooting at me during the victory cutscene.
I wish there was a mod to force every mission to have the Hitman 2016 mission accomplished theme. The new ones aren't as good.
>died on the third syndicate in an alerted territory again
I'm a master of Paris, Sapienza, Dartmoor and Hokkaido, I just learn the others as I go.
hokkaido kicks my ass, I don't think I will ever learn it properly
specifically the hospital area
Most of the time as soon as I start I grab Jason portmans disguise then switch to the doctor after the mission story. Ezpz
mistah Jason Pohtman is an idiot for following you for looking like Helmut Kruger anyway
I don't know how, but I'm a king at Morocco.
Paris I've played the most and it still kicks my ass for some reason.
Hokkaido is hell.
I don't remember much of H2's levels and I never did the DLC ones, so this'll be interesting in Freelancer...
>music player unlock for the safehouse
>it only plays in the living room and doesn't replace the usual theme underground
what's the point
Is there any real benefit to the non concealable SMGs? May as well use an AR for combat.
Can you ignite an oil puddle from oil canister with a remote taser?
Just tried on a target in Paris and it didn't work
HELP
Why does 47 have blue eyes? Isn't that mutation IRL? I think it comes with a slight risk to your vision too. Blue eyes are definitely the most attractive though. I suppose green is tied or a close second.
>Why does 47 have blue eyes?
You have to remember that as a clone, he was designed to look like a racially ambiguous albino.
So people look at him and just assume he's a really pale (whatever race they are)
that makes zero sense as an explanation for blue eyes. he should have brown eyes then.
seething shit eyes
He's albino
his eyebrows are brown though
Yeah disregard that that was the clone from Blood Money.
He has blue eyes because he's mostly German.
he'd look like Lucas Grey if he had hair, anyway
Huh, if you cover the beard and hair with your hands, the resemblance is uncanny
They're clones of the same genetic wienertail.
>Check Stock Market
>Make 3k
>Check again
>Lose 6k
Is it like this every time? Or is it just RNG?
I just checked the stock market after coming home from a contract, and I lost 10k kek
Anyone else's Freelancer keep crashing? Swear to God its like every other mission my game crashes never once had a crash in the base game
it usually crashes when I'm about to die
>Nothing to see here officer, I'm just carrying an oil canister inside a bank's vault.

>hardcore mode makes it more likely to get rarity items or tools from crates, we promise :^)
>open 5 crates on my first mission, all of them are meme items
well done IOI
You can farm literally every item in normal mode with no issues, if you have everything on the wall and finish a syndicate you only get 10-15-20-25k merces on the crate so leave it for the challenge itself
Rarity doesn't really mean anything since dupes don't spawn. Just start buying up all the shitty items from the vendor, and they will soon only spawn rare stuff.
I wasn't talking about vendors, I was talking about crates
crates can spawn 3 things, items with rarity or tools (both can be brought back to the house), or meme items (banana, flower poisons, lil flashy, the big one, shaman powder, etc) which cannot be brought back
the loading screens make it sound like if you go to hardcore mode your chance of getting actual useful items dramatically increases and it simply isn't true.
I got mad addicted to this last night after the thread on it and I came down to my PSU having busted on my PC. I had it back for 2/3 days.

FRICK OFF
Imma do the main game first, loving it. Replaying the first because I last played it in 2017.
so did anyone find out whether or not the game is still replayable after reaching mastery 100? I'm deeply concerned since the money gets fricking halved after death for some reason so the motive of raising that number infinitely seems to be gone.
>try to fiber wire
>target flips 180° and i punch them in the face
>this alerts some random b***h mopping a floor 3 buildings away (there were npc's in front of her who were not alerted)
>run away to the opposite end of the map where there are surely no compromised npc's
>everything is fine for 5 minutes
>suddenly the screen flashes grey, 10 alerted guards materialize behind me, and i enter combat
>hide in a bush
>they're just staring at the bushes, still in combat, not moving
if you have any tips on how to get me out of this i'd love to hear them
have better awareness instead of making up things that are physically impossible to happen, guards don't fricking spawn out of nowhere
Finally...
can't wait to lose it the first mission i take it out! :^)
Freelancer is set over a year after hitman 3s story yet they unfortunately didn't make the effort to remove main mission targets from the freelancer node. That's something I don't quite like.
That irked me too, but I hazard a guess so much of the NPC activity is built around the targets that that it would be too much work to story proof each location.
>Freelancer adds an armory where you can get a good look at weapons up close
>But Jon Ferguson already did a video on Hitman 3
damn
Are the collector weapons like "collectors crowbar" permanent? It says they are persistent across campaign but I don't wanna test and find out, can't find anything anywhere else.
they are not
they seem to just act as a duplicate if you want to take 2 of a tool on a specific mission. Only really useful if you want to take 2 of the same dart pistol which is super OP
They just work like regular weapons, you can lose them by dying normally but they don't just disappear if you fail.
Ah ok, so if they're in my armory but I don't take them in, then fail a campaign they're still there? That makes sense.
>he doesn't pick the syndicate with the "distract target" objective
>he doesn't save the maps with it for easy showdowns
I started a hardcore mission a few hours ago and I don't really like it
you just become hyper focused on your prestige objective and ignore the rest. Defeats the purpose of the whole mode. The increased difficulty (i.e you just get way more targets for regular missions at the start, and way more suspects for showdowns) is good, but the mandatory prestige objective ruins it. They need to ditch that part
Failing prestige could have another punishment like nullifying all mercer gains for that mission but outright failing the entire campaign is ultra gay.
I just tried playing Codename 47. That was terrible.
it's super dated, don't listen to moron nostalgia homosexuals that say it's worth playing today
it was good for it's time but that's it
>spend 15k on sniper
>fanny about for an extra 5 minutes at the end of the mission so i can earn 1k mercer on a side objective
>complete mission
>leave sniper behind
fricking kill me
