Seriously AC7 and AC6 and brothers. Both fast as fuck, pure games of skill and kino. Both better games than Elden Ring. Both Bandai Namco published. Both AC games. Both completely filtered western reviewers but were recognized as incredible games in Japan.
Honestly it's pretty fantastic considering how small the dev team is (one programmer, one composer, one writer)
It is lacking in some areas but I'd put it up there with the PS2 games overall
Shame there hackers ruin MP.
7's multiplayer is dogshit so it's not a huge loss
Really hope they bring back coop or PVE elements for AC8
The closest we've seen of him is very faint reflections in some briefing screens and his pilot model that shows up sometimes like in that F-104/Avril wallpaper
He's a dude at any rate
Honestly very good, but it has too many gimmicks and time limits.
And because I have to bring it up every time: It should have had all the mechanics and the flight/physics model from 6. Being able to "Toss Bomb" with unguided bombs using the ingame physics is the best, and it's been a missing mechanic since Ass Hor redid everything for the worse. There are so many small things Ace Combat fans overlook because they're always bringing up story and memes. The gameplay is the glue that actually holds the franchise together and it's utterly criminal that people still overlook, or even lookdown on, 6.
>There are so many small things Ace Combat fans overlook because they're always bringing up story and memes.
Motherfucker, I'm still waiting for the return of AC0's bore sight. ESPECIALLY in 7 when you have to shoot something like an Arsenal Bird's parts and there's 200 fucking drones flying around and you have to cycle through every single thing in view until it selects the propeller and hope you don't over-shoot the selection in your mashing.
>outside of wingmen (who always acted 15).
people say this but then talk about zero which has two wingmen, one of which has a hissy fit and fucks off halfway through the game, and is then replaced by the other, who is quite literally just PJ again
To tell you the truth, I only like Shamrock as a wingman so far. 4 was more or less nameless NPCs that watched you do almost everything that. & was just... OK.
>too many time limits
Literal skill issue. There's no mission in the game where the time limit is an actual issue. None.

Targeting will prioritize whatever you're looking at, it's not random at all.
The fact that you responded without knowing what the boresight in Zero is, is proof nobody should care about any of your opinions. You're just a child trying to stir up drama.
Not like boresight would help if there's a million drones flying in front of you. In AC7, the drones very deliberately get in front of you to protect the bird, you can see it easily if you break off.
A smaller circle for targeting at certain times would vastly improve it. And there are too many time limit missions. Some people don't like a clock pushing everything all the time like a coked up zoomer. And some people like using low tier planes but get shafted by time limits by needing to restock ammo/being slow. You're being pointlessly competitive over a singleplayer game. No, it's not hard when you only play with meta planes. That's not what this is about. And no, it's not about failing missions either. The game's really not that hard. You're just a baseless elitist desperately trying to feel superior.
Why not just play at lower difficulties with lower score requirements/higher time limits/larger ammo counts
Being able to have fun flying efficiently and figuring out how to play with suboptimal planes isn't elitism, it's just a different kind of fun
Why call someone a coked up zoomer and then complain when you might have to rub brain cells together to get a dopamine hit
I literally just searched long day ac7 on youtube and this video was on the first page of results (after the soundtrack, the algorithm knows what people want). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EATjT7IXsZg
The guy hits the required score in an A-10 with nearly 7 minutes to spare. And he's not even using the agm, he's using fucking rockets.

Ace Combat has had time limits on missions forever. Every mission in AC7 technically has them. They're not tight at all either, so if you wanna fly a shitplane and sightsee, you absolutely can. You can also lower the difficulty. It's just a skill issue, don't blame the game.
If you're having fun just keep going, don't interrupt a good thing
You'll enjoy playing 04, 5 and 0 afterward because you'll appreciate what's going on and all the little details
I just can't get over the wingmen in 5 acting the way they did. I hope we never have to see that again. The story was fine. Now that I think of it, I don't think I have a favorite Ace Combat story. To me, the story is just telling me why each mission is set up the way it is.
Lighthouse is an underrated track
>To those of you who are gathered here...
This one is underrated as well
this is just a mecha game if mechs were airplanes

it was ok, fun for a playthrough getting it really cheap
>tfw booting the game for the first time and hearing this
Incredible game.
Holy kino
>You solely are responsible for this
Crimson was pretty based despite being a massive retard
>O R A N G E
Only flying the Tomcat after buying it is the only right way to play.
>beamslop
UPDATE FUCKING WHEN
update's dead, baby
Never at this point or Wingman 2 is in production
hope you played the dlc as well
is this game good?

i couldnt see fucking shit in this fight, the screen was so washed out with all the effects
What does Trigger even look like?
The closest we've seen of him is very faint reflections in some briefing screens and his pilot model that shows up sometimes like in that F-104/Avril wallpaper
He's a dude at any rate
>tfw faceless soldier comes on for the first time
A shame that moment gets undermined almost immediately.

Zero had good stuff too. I feel 5 was kind of a waste (mechanically) outside of wingmen (who always acted 15).

Long Day for the poor suckers who pick the A-10

This is my first AC game. I'm on mission 5.
Should I stop and play the previous ones?
If you're having fun just keep going, don't interrupt a good thing
You'll enjoy playing 04, 5 and 0 afterward because you'll appreciate what's going on and all the little details
AC8 will save gaming
I still think 5 had the better story while 6 had the better gameplay
I just can't get over the wingmen in 5 acting the way they did. I hope we never have to see that again. The story was fine. Now that I think of it, I don't think I have a favorite Ace Combat story. To me, the story is just telling me why each mission is set up the way it is.
One of the worst games ever made. Ignore shills.
I want AC8, please bamco
What's the easiest way to play 0? That's the one everyone memes is the best and I want to find out who John Buddy is
You can emulate it on PCSX2 with basically no issues these days
Shame there hackers ruin MP.
fuck, ac7 was a blast, after hearing ost again in this thread i think i'll replay
I want to shoot everything in mission 11 down with the EML but I keep crashing into the platforms
>when those violins and drums kick in
