> Be a le retro gaming "investor". > Buy tons of old, shitty games. > Get greedy and drill prices on auctions up to the point where nobody wants to pay 400+$ for your shitty old games. > "Hurr durr emulation is bad guyz plz buy my games guyz!" > Nothing happens > DING DING DING! PRICES OF STORAGE ROOMS GO UP! > HOLY SHEEZ I NEED TO GET MONAY BACK! I KNOW, I'LL PAY THESE OLD, SHITTY GAMES I FOUND ON LITERAL LANDFILLS FOR 99$ EACH. I'LL STILL GET DA PROFIT AND PAY FOR MY STORAGE ROOM AND SUCKERS WILL JUMP ON SUCH PRICE DROP IMMEDIATELY!
theres no reason for pokemon games to be so expensive and it annoys me, it should literally be the opposite because they are literally the best selling games on any console theyre on a game with 7482947213713984874872 copies sold should not be going for 100 dollars it should be like 6 dollars if you look at yahoo auctions or mercari youll see that in japan the retro game market is actually not fucking ruined by onionsjaks which is why i always just import since even after shipping costs it ends up being cheaper than anything on ebay
no its nostalgiatards who make shitty videos about old consoles while knowing nothing about old consoles and obviously only like them for the "aesthetic" parading to people that they need to buy games theyll never play on ebay and since pokemon is the most popular nintendo ip and there is very obvious nintendo favoritism in the retro market since most people who care about it are onionfolk, pokemon games are artificially inflated for the sake of a cheap profit since everyone who was a child in the 2000s owns some form of pokemon game they can put on ebay for 199.99 now which you can compare to yahoo auctions or mercari where you can find like a loose copy of ruby for like 1000~ yen without much trouble
I watched this video and it meant nothing because the comparisons were for top graded games still in box, and that means that a 97% drop of something like $50,000 is still $1470 more dollars than what you should realistically should be paying. This impacts collectors but does not impact loose pricing where the demand for wanting to play the games still is the main driver.
I mean, they’re fakemons, so no shit they’re not legit
Also >>p-poorfag cope
Says the guy whining about retro game prices. Have fun using fast-forward, shaders, and save states on that “legal hardware” lmao

how do you tell a legit pokemon from an illegitimate one?

You can't, that's why official roms and hardware homosexuals cope and cry about it all the time. as long as the pokemon is generated without pokegen or using cheats, any emulator or rom passes online checks.
>ADHD-ridden zoomer CRYING and BREAKING DOWN at the mere thought of not having his zoomie cheats
Sorry, I like playing the game and not fast forwarding while spamming A
but i ribbon mastered a qwilfish & shiny mew from an emulated colosseum and emerald respectively and did everything legitimately and got them onto real hardware to boot
keep crying homosexual, i'm the one with a n RNG'd shiny mew
Only works if you don't intend to connect with other people and do multiplayer stuff, most people want the option to do multiplayer if a chance comes up.
> Only works if you don't intend to connect with other people and do multiplayer stuff
WRONG
1) you can trade and battle and transfer mons depending on the emulators, over long distances too. They’ve come a long way.
2) flashcarts exist that work on original hardware.
Emulating is the superior way to play. You can even back up and directly edit saves, saving a player interested in multiplayer time and heartache from losing mons. Emulating Pokémon > paying for old busted carts that are probably fake anyway. Besides, the options to fast forward is enough of a feature to make me never want to play on an original cart again.
I know for sure that flashcarts work and I certainly am not going to discount them. Emulators do local multiplayer? Literally how, over LAN/WAN? And is mGBA that reliable?
When are you homosexuals going to learn that emulation is just for the console and whether or not you use a real cart is separate and can be done with real hardware, emulation, FPGA, etc. It doesn't matter.
all I really want is a legit emerald
I have a repo but it sucks, and I left my childhood game with my brother because he had a save file on it he really cherished
chang finna make a killing selling 20 dollar fakes at market lows

I dumped all of my stuff last year for a reason. and bought mountains of
though I don't sell them as if they are real.

or really just any game in general even like shovelware trash on ebay is marked up like twice what its worth
pretty sure it’s just the shiny hunting community inflating the prices because they need multiple copies of the same game to do multi-console hunts on

Bro just buy the temu knock offs.

I guess I get it for HGSS, but why wouldn't you just hack your DS for the others?
