The North American natives were weak, that's why whites took it so easily but in the case of South America... Well let's say whites were not as superior as they thought they were. That's why so many brownies down there and no one cares. if there were more whites then people would care.

..A: Early English settlers were pathetic, only the east cost had some colonization right up to the 18th century, even if they were there since the 16th, and B: the colonization got into warp speed on the 19th century because you know, railways, repeating rifles, scattered bow & arrow tribes, etc.

Wrong Black person, SA bended over to the spanish.
In fact in Brazil they outright culled them out.
The spanish just chose to use them as slave labour instead of cleaning the land which is why their countries are fricking shitholes now while the ones that did, Canada and USA are 1st world nations.

This is the most historically ignorant shit I've read this year so far.
The Spanish SUCCESFULLY colonized SA by granting the natives with LEGAL and VALID marriages with Europeans through the Catholic Church. North American prots just killed them or segregated them.
The reason why SA is so brown is because all the natives were easily converted through marriage.
And good thing too, I'm sure most of them were glad to be rid of human sacrifices to demons.

Mexican here, states are so different culture wise that someone from Monterrey doesnt give a frick about Mayans (Yucatan) so yeah, also the capital of mexico (mexico city) is represented by Aztecs not mayans

tldr: mexico too big and a lot of cultures so not all mexicansfeel represented when they put mayans in a game/movie

normally when cultural norms hit they hit like a truck so if wakandanism will dominate 20s I dont see the signs yet

anime is heavily mainstream now even with millenials so something from that front may take the lead

I think it kinda gets lumped into the generic Amazon thing too much. Not the Greek "Amazons", but the concept of jungle/forest warriors usually wearing fur and animal accessories. There are games like Diablo 2 where you just suddenly wander into the jungle with them for no apparent reason. It might be cool to see a game with them, but it would need to clear that "generic enemy" hurdle that video games have made for them.

i for one want a game that goes from the beginings of civilization on the new world up to the point where they were found by the europeans but no farther
im fricking tired of games set in the colonization era and you can play as the spanish, there was no competition by that point everyone was doomed
i wanna see wars between those old civilizations instead, would be cool

My first thoughts are brought to Populous: The Beginning, even though it's not really that much Aztec-inspired. Was a very fun game though, a modern day remake could have been amazing. Summoning volcanoes, drowning armies by sinking their land into the ocean or putting deadly swamps in choke points was cool as hell and modern games should at least try and draw some inspiration from what was possible to do in it.
