How? Isn't there input lag? My PC is in my bedroom upstairs and TV is downstairs living room. The only way I'd be able to do it is just bring my PC downstairs.
this. I've been forced to actually do this and plug my pc to the tv because ps5 BG3 version sucks absolute ass on split screen. It's inconvenient as fuck. Yes, you can do it, that's not the point. I'm not gonna move my pc back and forth all the time. Streaming sucks and forget about using bluetooth controllers.
You can cry about sony all you want, the reality is still the same. It's the most sought out console and you fail to realize that most people really don't care about PC.
I swear PC tards are like the vegans or cross fitters of gaming they just can't help bringing out PC no matter the topic.
It doesn't though. That's the point. PC literally does get all the xbox exclusives now. Halo, gears, bethesda (can't even think of anything else tbh) are all on PC but many PS exclusives still aren't. Best combo is either PC + switch or PC + PS5 (or just all 3 if you can afford) honestly xbox is pretty much obsolete now unless you just want to play cod and can't afford a pc and Phil Spencer had practically admitted this
I own a ps5 and I recommend nobody get a ps5.
pc + switch would be a better combo but you can also emulate every switch game
so pc + nothing is the best choices
if you must pc + portable pc
Bought a PS4 because of the hype, but hated all the exclusives for it
I've played my Switch a ton though, even though I'd still recommend getting a shitty gaming laptop over a console any day. The games on the Switch at least felt like they let you fuck around more.
Halo is dead, most of their other games suck or, in the case of those who haven’t released yet, look lame, and their killer app, Starfield, ended up being underwhelming. Honestly, I can’t see Xbox making it past this generation, there’s just no point, they should just partner up with some streaming platform going forward and stream games through smart TVs and the like instead of insisting on still trying to sell consoles
The only way to sell consoles are exclusive games (real exclusive games that do not ever come on PC) and Microsoft gave up on that strategy. Currently the whole Xbox brand exists only to annoy Sony.
WHAT THE FUCK
I joked like a year ago or two that Sony and their fans would start lumping in accessories for their salesfagging. I'd post proof but of course b4k's search backend has to be broken right fucking now
it's just bottom of the barrell shit made for the utmost bong normalfags, i can sum up the people buying ps5s easily in the UK >broccoli hair >bong "lad" >some shit trade job like plumber or builder >plays literally nothing else >deano.jpg
Bet this is the last gen for xbox consoles. Goypass is not worth it with all the aaa flops its getting, but xbots really eat all the shit they can get.
No, it's because it's nearly 7 years old without a single price drop and Nintendo can't obfuscate the fact anymore that their next system is somewhat around the corner.
Because if governments don't watch out for a market then 1 or 2 key players will inevitably achieve total control over it. Nintendo and Sony control the console market and they need to utterly fail on their own to lose any of their share. It doesn't matter what the competition does, the PS3 sold well even when there was no reason to buy it. Sony is too entrenched as the de facto home console, even Nintendo had to back off to the handheld side of things.
Would Playstationfags still be able to retain their sanity even if they didn't have Xbox to punch down on?
Sometimes I unironically get the impression that Xbox is more important to Playstationfags than it is self professed Xboxfags.
Turns out multiplatform games perform better on PS5 than Series X despite having weaker hardware on paper. Anyone even remotely interested in Xbox already knows that PC is a way better investment. In the era when people started ditching physical media and went all digital. Xbox flopped, anyone with a digital library on steam or console isn't going to switch to Xbox.
I’m stuck gaming on my shitty laptop from 10 years ago because I genuinely can’t decide what to get.
PlayStation is ugly, has shitty movie game exclusives, and has lost a bunch of major third party games thanks to Xbox buyouts.
Xbox has a ugly dashboard, won’t stop shilling got pass and nothing but goypass, has driven its exclusives to the ground in the last decade, and will likely drive its new exclusives to the ground in the next decade.
I hate PC gaming, the constantly shit ports of console games, having to have my games spread across multiple gaming services, having every game I don’t touch for a week decide to stop launching for no reason, how prevalent cheaters are on PC, having to game on a chair instead of my couch, and having to fuck around with settings for an hour every time I start a new game to get them just right.
I hate the switches shitty portability gimmick. It’s a weak console with shitty controls. Nintendo exclusives are also really gay. The only good thing I can say about the switch is its dashboard is a work of art compared to the rubbish of the other three.
So I’m stuck emulating old games on my shitty laptop.
Buy a new laptop and stop pretending you like playing new video games
a phone can emulate everything from the PS2 era and below, so you don't even need a gayman laptop, just a good new laptop from any brand will do
Just don't fucking get one with a GeForce M chip, if you NEED a discrete GPU on a laptop, get a 1660/2060/3060/4060 one
Why would I buy an Xbox?
If you have the money to buy a PC, there is no reason to get an Xbox
There used to be a reason to buy a PS5, but each and every day that reason is less and less
NOW if you don't want a PC or can't afford one, but can afford an Xbox or a PS5, you will probably get the PS5, they both play the same games but the PS5 has like 5 exclusives you might want, I can't say the same with Xbox
I don't even know what Xbox to buy these days, I'm officially old PS is easy its the 5, with Xbob is it the One, the series S, Series X or the Xbob One X?
Welcome to confusing parents into up or down buying
Yes the confusion is by the design
Here is how it works: >Kid wants Xbox, but just calls it Xbox or Xbox One >Parents go to store and asks for an Xbox >clerk offers him a Xbox One, an Xbox One S, and Xbox One X, An Xbox One Series S and an Xbox One Series X >Dad tries to ask what's the difference and the store clerk tries to explain but dad doesn't get it >Dad finally asks if they all play the same games and the clerk says yes >Dad picks one of the cheapest models and the kid is disappointed >Dad later has to buy another unit, the right one this time
If all things go right, MS gets at least 2 sales by doing this bullshit, also note how X and S almost have the same sound, so if your kid asks for an Xbox Series X, the parent can misremember and buy the wrong one
Because in the words of Phil Spencer himself, "we lost the worst generation possible". And it's true, gen 7 and especially 8 have seen a massive breakthrough for digital games. People ended up building their library over on steam and sony's console for quite a long time and there's no way they're gonna forfeit those now to make the switch towards xbox when they gain nothing from it.
>tfw was part of the sony blob until they abandoned vita and japan studio
it's so nice, now I just play what I want where i want
still have a ps4 so I can play sony crap, pc is aging but can play most things at 30fps ish still, and my switch lite has been working great
I don't remember who said it but xbox position now is being the cheap option or the gamepass console, it's the console you get when you can't afford to buy games. That's like if Samsung Started marketing itself and gave off the image that it's the cheaper option compared to iPhone or when you can't afford one. This is shit marketing because people don't like to buy cheap or be viewed as having the cheap option.
So in a sense PS5 and Xbox series aren't on the same grounds, one is viewd as the default games Box you get and the other is the cheaper option.
That's because people don't care about the cheap option. People who buy a 1000$ iPhone aren't exactly the richest mfs most of them are working class. It's good that xbox has a cheap option but the marketing shouldn't be all that. I mean some ads even tell you that you shouldn't even get an Xbox, Microsoft tells you that you don't need one. If a company is telling me that I don't need their product why would I get it?
The phone analogy is bad anon
People taking loans to buy the latest 1000 USD iPhone are doing it to show it off, because a phone you carry around all the time and it becomes an accessory to your style
A console sits under your desk and no one ever sees it unless you point at it
People do get the cheap console, I know a bunch of people who got their kid a Series S with gamepass and that is it
Xbox wants those people, because they don't care about series S sales, they care about getting people into gamepass
A series S costs 300 bucks
A series X costs 500 bucks
Gameplass is 45 usd for 3 months so 15 bucks a month
That is 33 and some change months of siping money out of someone in difference
33 months they would not get if the only console they sold was the Series X
People will get the cheaper console and people will get the service if it means they don't have to buy their kids 70 usd games every two months or less for their kids
Making the S and X tied on a software level was a serious misstep. It's the same mistake that SEGA made late in the Genesis' lifespan with all the add-ons and variants. It confused consumers and annoyed developers, and set the Saturn on course to flop in the west. If they wanted a budget console, they should've made it a portable handheld spiritual successor to the 3DS/Vita. XPocket or something. $150, cartridge games, clamshell design with folding screen, cloud gaming capability to allow you to play gamepass games when you have an internet connection, 360-tier performance in the palm of your hand.
The push for Kinect and the "we have an offline console; the 360" shit early in the Xbone lifecycle killed all of the momentum the brand had and it never recovered. The Series S also is such an underpowered POS that devs are wary to develop for the Xbox platform because Microsoft says any game on Xbox had to be playable on both the X and S. It doesn't matter that the Series X is the beefiest console of the generation, PlayStation is just the more dev-friendly of the two.
Of course, both of them are getting fucked in the arse by Nintendo, who have returned to late 80s NES or early 00s PS2 levels of market dominance.
>The Series S also is such an underpowered POS that devs are wary to develop for the Xbox platform because Microsoft says any game on Xbox had to be playable on both the X and S
It wasn't just that, but Xbox said that the games had to be feature parity as well, so one feature couldn't be exclusive to the X and had to work on the S as well. Microsoft did say fuck it and let Larian do split screen as exclusive to series X because Larian being unable to get it working on the S was delaying the entire Xbox launch, but that opens the door to more and more developers saying "We cannot get this feature working on the S, so you take it or leave it."
I really can't understand how you all can't afford a new pc, playstation and Nintendo basedshit product every 7 fucking years.
It's once every 7 years... Just buy them all lmao. If you're young and poor then just get a pc you've got 3 decades of gaming to catch up on with most good games coming out from 1995 to 2008 that run on any toaster. Seething about a 4 year old console at this point lmao.
Because Microshit has nothing. They couldn't even commit to making CoD an exclusive because they knew they'd be shooting themselves in the foot for an exclusive if everyone else already owns other consoles and hardware.
Nobody wants a Shitbox because there is zero faith in it. And Microdick will do anything to coerce the average consumer back to it through any acquisition possible to them.
Phil attributed a lot of it to just how badly they fucked up the last generation. Winning the generation when digital really took off creates a snowball effect because people may as well stick to the ecosystem where they already own stuff. Same thing that happened with Steam, where no amount of money thrown around or games given away will counteract the sheer inertia of people spending a decade growing their Steam library. Anecdotally, I have all the consoles and I'd have absolutely no complaints about playing every multiplat on the xbox, but I still buy them on PS5 because I just have way more shit there already and there's no advantage to splitting focus. So the xbox has become basically a game pass and backwards compatibility box because that's its only real niche.
In a single generation, Playstation effectively reached the level where it can sell on brand alone, and maybe after a decade of Sony being arrogant and fucking up will xbox have clawed its way back to being a competitor.
it amazes that these game consoles still sell despite have zero video games to actually play on them. at least nintendo releases shit that isn't movie games that take 10 years to come out
I have a series x and ps4. I really prefer shit like gears of war over any snoyslop first party exclusives unironically. Plus I have a gamer girl account and get free games all the time
Because PC gets all the MS games so the best combo is still PC and PS5.
PC gets all PS5 games though and they keep getting exposed for being mediocre as fuck so there's no point in buying consoles this gen
Just wait for the fromsoft exclusives anon.
lol
lmao even
That tiny TV is just embarassing.
lol imagine living in a tiny 1 room apartment.
or in your moms basement. you don’t live with your mom, do you?
>ridiculously outdated fluorescent lamp backlit monitors
>tiny tv infront of brown velour couch
>wall to wall carpeting
>lamp and decor from the 90's
Ahh I see you're still living in peak comfy.
I still prefer to play games on my couch more than sitting at my desk, so I still play on both.
>I still prefer to play games on my couch
??
Stream your game from your PC to your TV? What's the problem?
How? Isn't there input lag? My PC is in my bedroom upstairs and TV is downstairs living room. The only way I'd be able to do it is just bring my PC downstairs.
No one does this. Stop pretending pcs are for the living room television every time someone mentions a couch.

PS5 can also play PS4 games
You know what PS4 game that isn't on PC?
The only reason I have a piss4 is because of bloodborne, it was worth it tbh.
Gravity Rush 2
they wouldn't appreciate it if it got ported
ONE GAME
I DON'T KNOW WHY
Wipeout Omega
I wish pc would hurry up and get GT7 so I didnt have to run an audio line into my pc and waste turn to face my tv.
You can cry about sony all you want, the reality is still the same. It's the most sought out console and you fail to realize that most people really don't care about PC.
I swear PC tards are like the vegans or cross fitters of gaming they just can't help bringing out PC no matter the topic.
Sony is more sought out than Switch? Yah ok

>still
Exactly.
They will be on Microsoft Windows once Jim Ryan cucks them out. PlayStation is dead, that gay and Hermen Hulst destroyed the brand.
sure its possible ps will eventually go completely obsolete as xbox has but for now it still has some utility over xbox
Yea after a year plus and even then some games still aren’t on pc like bloodborne. Most folks don’t like waiting years to play video games.
>MUH BLUNTBARN
>after 8 goddamn years
That's all you can play~!
That's all you can play~!
>MFW Mustards live rent free in Snoy heads
Cope.
Based.
Nah that would be PC and Switch. PS5 has nothing worth playing that didn't already come out for PC.
this. I haven't touches my switch since totk though, and I can play all the classic nes games on my nes mini. I think I'm done buying consoles
Only if you have normalfag taste. PC doesn't have FotNS, Bloodborne or R-Type Final 3 Evolved.
I own a ps5 and I recommend nobody get a ps5.
pc + switch would be a better combo but you can also emulate every switch game
so pc + nothing is the best choices
if you must pc + portable pc
you dont have a pc nor a ps5 tendie, kys
no im telling you to not buy a switch
can you read?
yeah I can read that you are subhuman tendie
alright so you can't
well have fun crazyman
I own PC, PS5, and Switch already.
you wasted $800
I'm a single male, in full-time employment with no dependents.
doesn't mean it's not money wasted
you're just giving yourself excuses

PS5 is literally a fifa machine in europe
And a CoD machine in the US. Xbox will always be the true gamer console.
>UK
i already know those sales are for nothing but fifaslop for normalfags
whats bad about fifa ?
it's just bottom of the barrell shit made for the utmost bong normalfags, i can sum up the people buying ps5s easily in the UK
>broccoli hair

Europeans buy PS for Fifa, it's just something they do.
Microsoft should have chased the rights for Fifa instead of Acti-Blizzard.
Bet this is the last gen for xbox consoles. Goypass is not worth it with all the aaa flops its getting, but xbots really eat all the shit they can get.
No one cares about a console with no games.
thats why the switch is selling less
No, it's because it's nearly 7 years old without a single price drop and Nintendo can't obfuscate the fact anymore that their next system is somewhat around the corner.
false
No idea, twitter chud, go there and ask
>Chris Dring
oh no no no no no
Oh my god, he's like Sal Romano and Jim Cramer rolled into one

Nobody has to like Xbox. In the end I will make them all buy Xbox one way or the other. Yes, this is a threat.
Who the fuck buys an xbox? Ameritards?
backwards compatibility
Would Playstationfags still be able to retain their sanity even if they didn't have Xbox to punch down on?
Sometimes I unironically get the impression that Xbox is more important to Playstationfags than it is self professed Xboxfags.
I see way more shitting on snoy imGanker and twatter.
Only americans know what a Xbox is, and even there it's getting rekt by the 1 game console and the 7 year old antique with no price cuts.
MS future is going Service + Nintendo 3rd party, just accept it.

Xbox main market is US
Series S if you just need a console
Series X if you actually want the current-gen console
>Series S if you just need
No series S is a piece of shit and nobody should buy it.
Some estimates posted over at installbase
PS5: 82k
NSW: 27K
XB: 26k
