So, what is going to be here if they do add something? This is near the top-left of the new desert area. There's quite a lot of detailed buildings and trees farther than the playable area. I know Fontaine is north of Vanarana and the leaked map doesn't extend this far west. Natlan is in the south, right? and Snezhnaya is west of Liyue?
fricking hell. the desert is fine, but the most fun area of Sumeru is the forest. Massive trees, cool creatures, fun navigation (jumping shrooms&grapples) sick caves etc etc.
I kinda like how Inazuma and Sumeru completely contradict the messages from Mondstadt and Liyue, showcasing that the situation in Teyvat isn't really all that black and white. A lot of people think that gods are just inherently bad an unneeded and that the main goal of Genshin is total emancipation from the gods, but then Inazuma and especially Sumeru completely flip that around, and the thing you REALLY needed to do in those regions was reinforce their Archons' roles as leaders of their respective regions.

Both Inazuma and Sumeru involve greatly dismantling the respective systems of government. In Inazuma, 2/3rds of the Tri-Commission was crippled, while in Sumeru, 4/6 of the Sages were terminated and exiled. This forced both Raiden and Nahida to take more proactive roles in leading their respective nations. So in both these nations, the Traveler's role wasn't to help emancipate the people from their gods as was the case in Liyue (and it's worth pointing out that not only was the Traveler unaware that they were doing this, but the whole thing was the god's idea to begin with), but instead they inadvertently ended up diminishing the authority of humans in those nations in favor of their respective gods.
Huh? We didn't reinforce that. The Traveler doesn't really care who rule and there was no reason to try and uproot Raiden entirely just because Venti and Zhongli "retired" (but not really). Further, gods being unneeded is really only something Dainsleif thinks and it's not going to be the point when we ourselves become the god to fix the world as needed. The archons are slaves of the ideals they represent and Venti being hands-off IS the freedom he espouses.

I kinda want Nahida to actually have a fricking role in this final part, but given that nothing's voice I find it unlikely. Usually, playable characters are voiced. I can only think of a handful of instances where this wasn't the case. For instance, in the epilogue of that Chasm event where we talk to Zhongli, Zhongli is conspicuously unvoiced. It was extremely odd.
There's sort of a pattern where each new element is better than the last. Dendro better than Electro which is better than Geo which is better than Anemo. If this pattern holds true, then Hydro should be better than Dendro. However, there's a pretty big chance that Dendro Traveler was just a fluke and Hydro ends up being shit.
I'm sure Hydro will be okay but Hydro already has several god tier characters so no matter what hydro traveler will be shit compared to the alternatives

Frankly, the idea that they'd nuke a city in Genshin is almost completely unthinkable, as that would mean that the city would be totally unusable afterwards. One of the reasons games like Genshin are so lucrative is because devs can just create assets and continue using those assets for years on end.
I think the bigger issue would arise that people can't go explore the pre-nail version of that area meaning permanently missed content that gives primos. If there wasn't content there like that then it would just be something people notice that one giant area has no rewards in it at all.

Sumeru is much better than in a zoomer, not that it's anything amazing though. If you enjoyed exploration I'd say give it a shot. If you are expecting to be wowed by story or characters you are considering the wrong game.
The best part of Genshin is exploring the ruins of past civilizations and uncovering the mysteries of their fall. Dragonspine, Enkanomiya, the Sumeru desert are all super cool.
I like the goofy hat, but the design seems a but too top heavy. I like legs, but I think a nice pair of pants would have been more aesthetically pleasing

There are hints to Paimon's association with time and Istaroth from time to time. Nothing overt, but there's a few suspicious parts here and there. For instance, when Venti says "Seeds of stories carried by the wind...", Paimon finishes the phrase with "and cultivated by time". This is a phrase found on the stone compass near/on the Nameless Island, which has strong associations with Istaroth. Additionally, when you first meet Paimon at the very beginning of the game, it's on the beach that's near that very same island. In fact, you can see the island during the cutscene where she's talking to the Traveler.

Of course if you slap the same artifacts on Hu Tao and a similarly performing weapon, you'd end up with more damage, but at over 200k charge attacks I don't think it matters much. The person knows the game inside and out and can easily make thier favourite character steamroll the Abyss
You can see their character's on Enka. It's a highly invested Yanfei, but these are pieces that you can get from the Strongbox

Sucrose will give your character hundreds of EM while shredding pyro resistance by 40%
Bennett will give your character over 1k attack, even more when they're pyro
R5 Widsith will give your character a variety of buffs, with that setup he most likely got the 96% elemental damage buff
And when played right you can setup your Yanfei's attacks to vapourize every charge attack when it's at max seals

There's probably a separate team in charge of making up minigames and shit. My guess is that Mihoyo just hired a guy whose entire job is to create and manage the card game. So I doubt the main teams contribute anything to that end beyond incorporation.

The plot is getting better than ever though? Ever since we met Nahida and she taught the travel to do a syllogism the plot has been throwing so many interesting ideas at you. About society, individuality, your responsibilities to others, and all the historical/academic comentary in the golden slumber quest. It is quite literally like she made the plot become smarter and start dealing with bigger issues than "totaltarianism bad" and "sometimes I work too much".

Yelan is Archon-tier utility but Alhaitham is fricking great too. If you are rolling for gameplay, it depends on what you need, Yelan is SSS-tier damage support, while Alhaitham is a selfish DPS. Keep in mind Alhaitham is also great because he has his full kit at C0 and has a shit ton of weapons he can use that work well with him, if you need a main DPS.
Yelan would probably be more useful for you though.
Both are good. Elegy helps with her energy issues but it's a bit overkill if you have C1. Aqua is her BiS but without C1, good ER substats or another hydro battery you might have some trouble keeping her burst up.

Frick no. Off fielders don't need their basic attack talents upgraded. Prioritize elemental skills and/or bursts by their usefulness.
Raise your talents a little first, then work on artifacts, then go back to talents, etc. Basically you should work your way up to the point where doing either is relatively smooth and fast.

I am preparing for my finals full-on so I don't really have any time for playing Genshin but I also don't really want to part with it nor do I want to leave it alone for a few months and miss out on all that content.
Is there anyone here who would want to play with my account for a few months (AR57 with Hu Tao, Nahida, Ayaka, Raiden Shogun and Qiqi built) potentially as a second account?
I won't ever revoke access since you can just snitch on to Mihoyo, so it's like getting a full account for free.
So, what is going to be here if they do add something? This is near the top-left of the new desert area. There's quite a lot of detailed buildings and trees farther than the playable area. I know Fontaine is north of Vanarana and the leaked map doesn't extend this far west. Natlan is in the south, right? and Snezhnaya is west of Liyue?

I kinda like how Inazuma and Sumeru completely contradict the messages from Mondstadt and Liyue, showcasing that the situation in Teyvat isn't really all that black and white. A lot of people think that gods are just inherently bad an unneeded and that the main goal of Genshin is total emancipation from the gods, but then Inazuma and especially Sumeru completely flip that around, and the thing you REALLY needed to do in those regions was reinforce their Archons' roles as leaders of their respective regions.
I thought the message was "you work you lose" since all of they are/were avoiding their jobs one way or another (except Nahida, but it's not like she had a choice) because of the erosion.
Erosion is just "bad things that accumulate with the passage of time". Depression counts as erosion for gods because it wears away at them. The longer you live, the more that kinda stuff accumulates. Everything erodes. Humans erode. It's the basic law of entropy.
In Inazuma, the entire point of Raiden's character was to drag her out of the Plane of Euthymia because her passivity was allowing Inazuma's rot to go unchecked. Both Inazuma and Sumeru involve greatly dismantling the respective systems of government. In Inazuma, 2/3rds of the Tri-Commission was crippled, while in Sumeru, 4/6 of the Sages were terminated and exiled. This forced both Raiden and Nahida to take more proactive roles in leading their respective nations. So in both these nations, the Traveler's role wasn't to help emancipate the people from their gods as was the case in Liyue (and it's worth pointing out that not only was the Traveler unaware that they were doing this, but the whole thing was the god's idea to begin with), but instead they inadvertently ended up diminishing the authority of humans in those nations in favor of their respective gods.
Huh? We didn't reinforce that. The Traveler doesn't really care who rule and there was no reason to try and uproot Raiden entirely just because Venti and Zhongli "retired" (but not really). Further, gods being unneeded is really only something Dainsleif thinks and it's not going to be the point when we ourselves become the god to fix the world as needed. The archons are slaves of the ideals they represent and Venti being hands-off IS the freedom he espouses.

I can only think of a handful of instances where this wasn't the case. For instance, in the epilogue of that Chasm event where we talk to Zhongli, Zhongli is conspicuously unvoiced. It was extremely odd.

Frankly, the idea that they'd nuke a city in Genshin is almost completely unthinkable, as that would mean that the city would be totally unusable afterwards. One of the reasons games like Genshin are so lucrative is because devs can just create assets and continue using those assets for years on end.

I think the bigger issue would arise that people can't go explore the pre-nail version of that area meaning permanently missed content that gives primos. If there wasn't content there like that then it would just be something people notice that one giant area has no rewards in it at all.

Sumeru is much better than in a zoomer, not that it's anything amazing though. If you enjoyed exploration I'd say give it a shot. If you are expecting to be wowed by story or characters you are considering the wrong game.
I couldn't manage the plants and mages fast enough with my Hu Tao team and had to swap.
Drop XQ for kazuha instead, the grouping will make hu tao's side easy. Use sucrose bare minimum leveled just for grouping on your other team
The best part of Genshin is exploring the ruins of past civilizations and uncovering the mysteries of their fall. Dragonspine, Enkanomiya, the Sumeru desert are all super cool.

There are hints to Paimon's association with time and Istaroth from time to time. Nothing overt, but there's a few suspicious parts here and there. For instance, when Venti says "Seeds of stories carried by the wind...", Paimon finishes the phrase with "and cultivated by time". This is a phrase found on the stone compass near/on the Nameless Island, which has strong associations with Istaroth. Additionally, when you first meet Paimon at the very beginning of the game, it's on the beach that's near that very same island. In fact, you can see the island during the cutscene where she's talking to the Traveler.

You can see their character's on Enka. It's a highly invested Yanfei, but these are pieces that you can get from the Strongbox

R5 Widsith will give your character a variety of buffs, with that setup he most likely got the 96% elemental damage buff
And when played right you can setup your Yanfei's attacks to vapourize every charge attack when it's at max seals

The plot is getting better than ever though? Ever since we met Nahida and she taught the travel to do a syllogism the plot has been throwing so many interesting ideas at you. About society, individuality, your responsibilities to others, and all the historical/academic comentary in the golden slumber quest. It is quite literally like she made the plot become smarter and start dealing with bigger issues than "totaltarianism bad" and "sometimes I work too much".
Too bad it still uses collage essay style word count padding to tell it.

He's very strong, has cool animations and pretty fun managing his stocks to get sword rain up as long as possible. But Yelan fits in way more teams and is one of the gods of exploration.
He is strong but his style is pretty rigid and punishing if you screw up your rotation.
Yelan is Archon-tier utility but Alhaitham is fricking great too. If you are rolling for gameplay, it depends on what you need, Yelan is SSS-tier damage support, while Alhaitham is a selfish DPS. Keep in mind Alhaitham is also great because he has his full kit at C0 and has a shit ton of weapons he can use that work well with him, if you need a main DPS.
Yelan would probably be more useful for you though.
Elegy of the End or Aqua Simulacra for Yelan?
Both are good. Elegy helps with her energy issues but it's a bit overkill if you have C1. Aqua is her BiS but without C1, good ER substats or another hydro battery you might have some trouble keeping her burst up.
No C1, but I lucked out on Emblem farming and every single one of the artifacts has ER on it.
A nail is gonna be dropped on Fontaine but Traveller and redeemed Focalors will block it amd redirect it to the ocean where it'll sink harmlessly.
Traveler will actually fight and defeat Focalors with the help of the previous Hydro Archon

Frick no. Off fielders don't need their basic attack talents upgraded. Prioritize elemental skills and/or bursts by their usefulness.
Raise your talents a little first, then work on artifacts, then go back to talents, etc. Basically you should work your way up to the point where doing either is relatively smooth and fast.
I got all my characters at least level 8 talents but I also have turbo autism and hate artifact grinding

Ning can be very good but doesn't work well with most other characters, even other geos don't do much for her outside of the resonance buff.
