pretty much. these kids make the topics because it gets replies. it gets replies because people are playing it. the people playing it AND using Ganker want to feel like they are in the in group and "troll" and these threads always hit bump limit. just like the souls games.
Indeed. Starfield is a 100/10 in my eyes. I love exploring in the game and I think this is a masterpiece. Game of the Year for me and it's not even close. Lol.
This isn't even about Starfield in particular, but where can I go to actually talk about video games and enjoy myself there? Ganker has been shitty for years but I'm done with Ganker-edgy reddit edition.
go back and watch what todd said about it. it has a five year plan. he literally said that. fo76 was garbage at release and it’s honestly great at this point. they’re doing the same exact shit. releasing the skeleton and adding shit over the years until its complete. i find that scummy but what was the other choice? release it five years from now?
>release it five years from now?
Yes. Release the game when it's finished and not when it's broken and shit. It's a legitimate 3/10 game right now and there's no excuse for that.
Unironically this. The game is very clearly the victim of mission creep. I think most people would have been perfectly content with 20-30 planets. Hell, if they were developed enough, they probably could have gotten away with a single solar system with just 8 or so planets and it would have been fine.
this starfield reception seems awfully familiar to another game zoomies found "boring", but that couldnt seem to stop talking about at the time. a game so deeply relaxing and thought provoking, it repelled them back to tilted towers... HMMmmm... its on the tip of my tongue. perhaps a monster energy drink might help me remember.
You can tell Starfield is actually really fucking boring because noone ever talks about the actual content.
When talking about Skyrim you'll see people posting webms of glitches, talking about their favourite sidequests or wanking to sexmods.
How many posts have you seen even mention any of the content in Starfield? I spend way too much time on Ganker and I couldn't name a single character from this entire game.
There's only so many variations of I fast travelled to a proc gen planet and killed some space pirates and got some diablo loot and sold it before you start repeating yourself
>land at rndom station >get approached by someone for a job to scan minerals >they specifically say you only need to scan to verify what's in there >enter cave >HUD says mine the minerals >turns out I have to mine them now >go back with my "scans" >grab a random mission off of a board before I leave >fly to planet >run into stranded ship encounter orbiting the planet >they specifically their ship is operational but they are trapped in the system because the grav drive is broken, implying they can fly around but jump >they need iron >ok >land on the planet >there is iron everywhere right there

I have 80 hours in it and I uninstalled it yesterday, playing Skyrim and NV instead. It's shallow and mediocre in almost every aspect. I hope it's good someday but right now I don't want to touch it again.
>the high points of previous Bethesda's RPGs were always the open world that you could explore and get lost in, stumbling across various side quests and unique sights along the way >decide to make a space game, seemingly failing to realize how conceptually different traveling the vacuum space is compared to walking across an open map >further reduce exploration through a bunch of loading screens, fast travel, and segmenting off planets into just a couple of separate "maps"
How did this game get released? A better question is, "How did this game ever get greenlit in the first place?" Nothing about even the concept of this boring game makes any sense.
I really like Starfield. IMO its the best game Bethesda has made since Oblivion. I'm running it on a toaster just fine so I don't get the crying about performance.
As much as I like the game I have a lot of criticisms of it though, and I understand why many people are disappointed.
ok this is actual sony shills at this point
cope fat retard, the game's just that bad
Probably, nobody would talk about this game if it wasn't for them.
these are normal people who dont care about your console war from 10 years ago
Or, here me out, people know the game is shitty and are voicing their disappointment.
always has been
Remember that it was also delayed. Imagine if it wasn't.
what the fuck is wrong with you fucking retards today
It won a GOTY award. It was Xbox game of the year, but it's an award nonetheless. That's a problem.
>today
Starfield is getting the Elden Ring treatment - 24/7 Discordtranny doomposting.
That's how you JUST KNOW it's a Game of the Decade contender.
Why Starfield? This shit has been getting shit on hard since before it came out.
pretty much. these kids make the topics because it gets replies. it gets replies because people are playing it. the people playing it AND using Ganker want to feel like they are in the in group and "troll" and these threads always hit bump limit. just like the souls games.
yep, starfields my personal goty. all the hate is just contrarian homosexuals lol.

it’s a billion dollar business. making homosexual gamers happy doesn’t come before money
Maybe they shouldn't have tried the dumbass "1000 planet" shit where all of them except maybe 5 have anything to do on them.

>Expecting actual discussion of videogames on Ganker
That's your first mistake

Cause Bethesda made it.

>yet another "I hate Starfield!" thread
Wow. What an opinion. Ok. See you tomorrow.
>STOP TALKING ABOUT VIDEO GAMES ON THE VIDEO GAME BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have to go back
>outright unoptimized
Poorfag with a decade old toaster lmao

this is the first post in a while to make me angry.
Todd sabotaged it to mock Microsoft. It's an industry in-joke for developers to ruin their games when Microsoft buys them.
it's so fucking soulless
You people just wanted some mass effect blue alien fantasy bullshit for people who like grounded hard sci fi this game is a treat.
