The truth is that people already have their friends, or then they just don't care to hang out with some guy. As a 32yo man I have very little interest to "hang" with someone, I only see my friends if it involves some kind of activity such as getting drunk somewhere

You don't. We're all of us alone on this rock.

my 30+ friends have all been made via hobbies
but most of those fell apart due to time
adulthood is shit and incredibly lonely

Yeah if you want to spend time with people as an old man, it needs to involve some kind of shared interest or activity. But then most likely you'll only see those people when you're doing that specific thing. It's not like when you were a teenager and you just go stand around at the mall for no reason, people have different schedules and obligations such as family

        >But then most likely you'll only see those people when you're doing that specific thing
That's the best part. It's fricking exhausting to see people for no reason.

I'd love to hang out with you but multiplayer gaming isn't an option for me anymore. When I boot up a game ai get interrupted every 15 minutes by my son or my wife so it's singleplayer games for me from now on

You don't. Men assimilate into a friend group during their school years and after graduation you lose that capacity unless you end up in the military. Occasionally some may end up adopted by some extrovert they'll meet later in life but as far as 'friends' go what you had is all you've got. Best you can hope for is casual acquaintances who may share some small talk but will never really be interested in you on any deeper level because that's still pretty gay lmao.

I have the opposite problem with too many people want to hang out or be my friend. I already have a core group, it's fricking tiring having to deal with people trying to become your friend.

grown adults don't really hang out like that aside from getting together at block parties and football games unless they were friends since childhood.

are you rich? if you are just a wagie you can't really have friends that you hang out with atleast not often. basically the only adults with free time to hang out and have fun are people with alot of money everyone else is job grinding to get by.

Have very little experience with IRC. Only ever used it in the past to download anime via XDCC, so I wouldn't know what to do.

I'm glad I don't care about having friends. Seems like such a fricking hassle. First, you have to ignore 99.9% of people, because they're total casuals. Of the 0.1% that's left, 90% will be so far away in terms of power level that a "friendship" with them is more like the relationship between an adult and a child. Of the 10% with a power level only a few orders of magnitude away, you will share interests with 10% of them, and of those 10%, maybe 10% will want to hang out with you, and 90% of them are too self absorbed to bother with you.

So overall, your odds of finding a friend are about 1 in a million. After you talk to a million people, you might find one friend.

I don't know. I used to be able to make friends online at least as a kid, even though I was weird in real life.
Now I can't even do that.

Same. Back in the day I'd meet new homies effortlessly while, lately, no matter how much effort I put in, I always either meet ghosts or dudes who go
      >let's text chat for 3 years before playing a game/watching something I don't trust you yet
I'm not even an extrovert but you never will get a read on someone until you do something together and banter around and see if you're having fun or not.

Meet people through work. I love my childhood friends but we all spread across the world now and I never get to see them. Over 8yr of work I've only met two people that have become proper friends but even then we don't hang out super often, maybe like 5-6 times a year. Sad truth is at 30+ most people are busy making families and making friends through their kids and other parents. Us childless have to pay the price of lonliness for our freedom.

No one wants to play games with me either. Even people I hang out with irl. Usually we just play different games now. Or it's just that we can't find a term to play a game together.
As for real life... did you invite some colleagues from your job or hobby to hangnout sometimes or do some activity?
