>Serebii has the autistic owner who does nothing but suck gamefreak's dick
>PokemonDB is only good for competitive pokemon
meanwhile, bulbapedia has fucking EVERYTHING, even gifs for specific moves across generations
why do you guys hate them again? some dumb moralgayry?
>inb4 pedomemes that have been proven wrong countless times
>some dumb moralgayry?
If you don't reign in your dregs of society you end up with a far worse world overall, stop trying to protect the feelings of scum.
>moralfagging on le Ganker
makes sense to me
>Bulbapedo
If I wasn't at work I'd post the Vigoroth Visigoth one. There is no quality control for lots of things, there was also a page that had a good chunk removed relatively recently, as in these past few months, but I can't remember what it was, only that it was some pretty obscure and unsourced thing on a side game or anime media. But their image archives are nice. I hope they add more overworld model maps for the 3d games.
At least it's not a super mushroom
>Pedo defending pedosite
Wow, color me surprised.
>pedosite
you mean Ganker? this website has daily e-boi and shota threads
Ganker too of course. I only come here for trading and to piss people off since, it's so easy to do so.
No, the difference is in diddling real children. Don't do that.
anyone that jacks off to fictional children wants to diddle real children. they don't so it from lack of opportunity to not rage any consequences, meaning they are still evil.
Explain to me why you're using a website that you assume is filled with evil people then
>anyone that shoots people in a video game wants to shoot real people. they don't do it from lack of opportunity to not rage any consequences, meaning they are still evil.
Okay boomer
Bulbapedia's layout fucking sucks but at least navigating is easy
Serebii's layout is much better but navigating it is a fucking nightmare if you're looking through multiple pages.
smogon is the best balance between layout and navigation ease but it doesn't have as much information for obvious reasons.
What is the actual proof the moderators at bulbapedia are pedophiles? I never bothered to look into it because I just don't care
Liam Pomfret likes to ship the 10-year-olds in the anime and seriously said “age is just a number” when trying to explain how apparently 10-year-olds can feel true love
That makes him autistic as hell but not a literal pedophile. By that logic anyone who ever shipped Harry Potter and Hermione were/are pedophiles.
How is this any different than the dozens of threads about exactly the same thing right here on Ganker?
Besides pic related, liam's kiwi farms thread has the rest of the screenshots. "Mozz's Van" was a hidden porn forum with allegations of grooming the underaged mods into posting nudes. But even if that isn't true, just the fact that they used van in the title when there's a creeper stigma attached to it, even more so from back then is pretty telling. Judging from the leaked screenshots talking about it, the only reason they changed anything was because they didn't wanna get in trouble.
It's honestly highly suHispanicious. We'll never be able to say for sure what went on for obvious reasons, but with things like "Bulbapedia Confessions" and liam saying "that age limits for sex are stupid because Japan doesn't have them", "age is only a number" and so on doesn't help their case. But you can tell that the corporate network HAVA media, who owns the site, wants all of this bad history associated with it deleted from the net. Judging off of worth of web, bulba makes 8 and a half million every year for them which is easy money since it's built on free autism of a community of wiki slaves.
They ran a NSFW forum section visible only to admins and mods where they posted their nudes and had others rate them.
Some of the mods were underage.
There was no attempt made to rectify this. It was never discussed publicly until an ex-mod stepped forward
Pic related is shit liam said on Ganker
Bulbapedia's ad provider is Curse, which is also owned by Fandom which they also use for their own wikis. So the differences between Bulbapedia and Fandom are not that different, besides which greedy, filthy rich corporation owns it. I still don't understand why bulbapedia is still part of NIWA when it's just as corporate as Fandom wiki now. Nothing independent about it. But then again, there really isn't another one besides those two.
> I still don't understand why bulbapedia is still part of NIWA when it's just as corporate as Fandom wiki now. Nothing independent about it. But then again, there really isn't another one besides those two.
They were one of the original founders, so the rules don't apply to them.
The site is too bloated to really work well as a general reference guide but I feel like this could be solved with an overhaul to how articles are laid out.
>Autoplay videos of irrelevant stuff
No, fuck off.
Does it really? doesn't happen to me but maybe its because I have adblock
Its not as bad as Fandom sites tend to be but yeah, it makes its revenue off advertising so it does autoplay.
Bulba needs articles divided between anime, core games, and spinoff games.
It's a fucking disaster without adblock, their intended way for users to browse.
>Just use adblock!!!
That is how they intend you to view the site, therefore it's shit. I used to be a contributor a decade ago and it's fucking appaling how bad things got.
I have been using adblock daily for like 10 years so I don't really care but that is scummy I guess
You'd be surprised how many people don't use adblock. Especially elementary and middle school kids, who are likely to go to that site for info.
By the way, if they're using tracking cookies for people under 13 in those ads, they're breaking the law.
That's kind of based, I'd take advantage of normalfags too if I owned a website
Normalfag adults, sure. But the kids are a different story.
>NOOO STOUTLAND IS NOT DEAD!
Context?
>we report on facts only
Why do they blatantly lie?
this is a very autistic thing to care about, on both sides
just leave it be lol
>we don't deal with death
>major plot point of the first game is fighting a dead Pokemon's fucking ghost
When we can we just start enacting eugenics programs to liquidate the autistics from the population?
>muh lore
yawn.
meanwhile on serebii you'll be lucky to have even the in game description of a move with no explanation of how it actually works
and most of this lore won't even be found on other sites anyways so its not like they are any better.
> one is a wiki, so anyone can contribute
> the others are made by one person or a small group
I wonder why it has more content
Not much competition there
They aren't, unless you choose to be selectively ignorant.
too much bloat. much faster to google something like "serebii larvitar xy" and be brought immediately to gen 6 larvitar's stats, location, movesets and egg moves in a compact list. every time you go a mon's page in bulbapedia its the page-long menu of hyperlinks for anime and mangashit first
>want to find a pokemon’s learnset
>need to scroll down half a page of filler anime shit before I can even see the pokemon’s stats/encounter tables/moveset because the site is for middle aged pokeshippers first and foremost
>shitty ads pasted across the site
Absolute joke of a “database” if you want pokemon info compared to nearly anything else. Joe may be a disingenuous bootlicker but at least you can just punch in “Serebii + pokemon name + gen” and get exactly what you need in seconds, aka the only thing you’ll regularly be going to these types of sites for.
This exactly.
Use PokemonDB instead, its better
PokemonDB actually looks and runs like shit and sucks to navigate
You gotta be kidding me, Serebii looks like it was made in 3400BCE and the color scheme sucks, PokemonDB is concise and white like the color of the quartz
pokemonDB is much better in this case because all it shows is the stats and learnsets and is pretty concise.
Pokewiki (German wiki) is better.
actually true, these angloids have no idea what an actual good source for pokemon looks like.
Fucking hate the layout for Pokemon on Bulbapedia. I need to scroll through all this useless shit like anime appearances until I actually get to the game data. Fucking why? It's so much easier to find the information you need on Pokewiki. Plus, it has cries for every Pokemon and animated sprites for the 3DS games.
Bulbapedia has always been the best because it's extensive, exhaustive, easy to read, and even has lore written in. Its imperfections are the shift to the mobile/web2.0 layout with the stupid ever-present top toolbar and the removal of the wikipedia side-section, and how it doesn't go enough in depth with the rationale behind every pokemon related thing's design inspirations.
When Joe went away for 2 weeks, the spelling and grammar errors on the site increased 10 fold. Must have put his wife in charge
Being a pedophile is based, though.
Don't say such things with "though" at the end, it will make people think you're not being sincere
I hate how they insist on trying to cram details from every game and every adaptation together, I don't want to have to scroll through War and Peace every time I want one specific bit of info and some of the tables are near unreadable. But Serebii's full of misinformation and nothing else comes close except extracting the useful information and using it to autistically piece together your own personalised offline resources
as I do
.
>Ctrl F
I agree with this, even with the contents menu it's still retarded and it's worse on older gen pokemon.
I wish it didn't put useless info about the anime way before shit like game locations and base stats
I'm beginning to accept that it's better than Serebii but holy fuck each page is designed backwards. Why do manga, anime, TCG and spin-off appearances take priority over game data? It's fucking retarded, you have to scroll through all sorts of irrelevant garbage to find what you need. I don't care which Smash Bros games Abomasnow appears as trophies in, just show me its fucking moveset.
Bulba is easily the best source for Pokemon info. The only problem with the site is how the shit up the pages with anime info.
Any other complaints are handwringing nonsense. Looking up info is hardly making the site owners rich or anything, and there's a 100% chance that your actual money is going into the hands of much worse people. Get over it you dipshits.
inb4 "actually I'm amish, and have built the pc I'm posting this from myself! and I generate my electricity with my treadmill goats!"
>new info about a pokemon comes out
>they add it to the page
Its really that simple. They don't have to wait for daddy Nintendo to officially release a game or add-on to update their pages.
It took them like two years to acknowledge that Diance was a real Pokemon and not just fanon.
>How do they manage to STILL be th-ACK *HEAVE* *WHEEZE* *chokes and dies*
How did they survive the big pedomod scandal?
Non-terminally online people don't really care about that stuff
Sad.
You? yeah
Nah you are.
Drains the battery of my iphone and has too much shit I need to scroll to get where I want.
Don't hate bulbapedia, it's just a different nieche than pokemondb which I find better for help in in-game playthrough because it's more convenient.
Of course if I'm looking for information other than the basics I'd rather go to bulbapedia then serebii, stupid-ass site crashes my phone
I literally only ever use Bulbapedia and Smogon for Pokemon information. No other sites have relevant information with good formatting.
I like Veekun, but it only has information up to gen 7.
