How does inflation affect a game that came out in 2016?
It's not even a live game, they aren't maintaining servers or anything.

If anything it just proves that their reasons for increasing the price repeatedly were just for greed from the start. If they actually did this because of inflation then people who defend this would be fine with 70$ games because they're officially pushed for the same reason (but unofficially it's just to increase profits).
They need to make more money.
It doesn't. It's just greed.
If the game is good, getting updates, and still selling well, they are under no obligation to discount it and start work on a new game because that's what you were used to from giant corporations who extract most of the money in their games in the first month
When Nintendo's games get more expensive a decade later people eat it up, I am fine with indie devs doing the same
is this an anti-shill campaign? 10 threads in 2 days doesn't seem organic
Games usually go down in value over time (except nintender games)
Gamers outraged to learn that real inflation is over 10% right now and your purchase power will halve in five years.

We had supply shocks combined with the largest liquidity injection by the FED in 2020. Inflation hasn't been this bad since before you were alive (70s-80s) and will take time to wind down, if ever at all. The bond market is pricing in a massive interest rate pivot this year, which is in direct contradiction of the FEDs word.
No one cares, the game was developed from 2012 to 2016.
Then go back in time and buy it then.
While you're there I have a few tasks for you.
Oil can be refined and stored for years, that doesn't lock the price when it enters a barrel. Also it's fricking $5 kek what a non-thread.
are there really children on here who void their bowels over $5?
factorio devs are a special breed of greedy frickers
