how does this compare to the first game
I want to give it a try but it's a bit pricey
I got the first one on sale and liked it

DBX1:
>shorter combos
>supers and ultimates can actually hit
DBX2:
>longer combos
>supers and ultimates never hit unless
you should play dragon ball raging blast 2 instead
>...unless you break their stamina
god im a fricking moron
>supers never land
>t. casual homosexual
what about the customization?
XV2 has a lot more outfits and the introduction of QQ Bang crafting makes it so you don't have to sacrifice your style for stats
that's good to know
I wasn't a big fan of having stats tied to outfits
it would be better if they added the option to transmog but that's the next best thing I guess
>it would be better if they added the option to transmog but that's the next best thing I guess
It's basicly what XV2 does though. You equip 1 QQ bang on your character and that overwrites all you clothes' stats with that of your QQ bang.
Also on top of what the other anon said, every playable race now has a transformation. Except Saiyans now have a billion of them.
saiyans are shit
humans are best
none of that trash ass hacks genkai boost nonsense
They changed that in newer updates.
Now, weak enemies no longer dodge your random super attack and break your defense. Only strong enemies do it.
Because everyone and their mother dodge straight line super, no one used any skill besides Cooler or frieze deathball(they nerf ita tracker)
They tried to nerf BigBang Kamehameha but people ate them alive because nothing hit the enemies. So they finally fixed the enemies behavior.
Weak enemies should not have same skill as strong enemies
More refined combat from XV1
Main story isn't as good but they also merged XV1's story into this game recently
It’s a bit all over the place. It gets better once you finish the main story.
It’s definitely improved over 1 though. It’s like 1 more than 1. So it’s like…2.
It's an improved XV1, fun if you're a DB fan. Probably amazing if you can co-op.
>but it's a bit pricey
Just don't buy it on Steam like an ape. Ignore the crappy DLC.
What websight?
https://gg.deals/
It’s £3.99 on PlayStation store
I'll give some bullet points to avoid writing a bible
-Parallel Quests (think MH style quests you can coop, not story mode) have secret conditions and you need to clear these most of the time to even roll for some of the loot like skills, and their drop rate is really low so you might grind a lot, some of the conditions are fricking annoying like escort quests too
-PQs are full of cutscenes that kill the flow, like ally/enemy enters/leaves the fight, someone you defeated is standing up (one by one if multiple opponents), a character that just stood up will rage and transform if saiyan/get possessed by dark ki if villain
-Messy online, I've co-oped with 3 different people and sometimes we'll get DLC license error and when we want to quit a lobby it kicks us to the title screen
-Every character has their own story progression (and roster unlocks) but has access to all learned skills, inventory is shared so enjoy jumping between characters to unequip their super soul or gloves
my favorite transformation is potential unleashed
x10 more content with all the DLCs (use koalageddon) plus all of XV1 and a ton of mod support
you can also use a save editor for past items and the microtransaction currency
Does using save editor or cheat engine stuff get you banned? I'm not too clear on mods either, I know some entirely force you to go offline because you have to disable the anti cheat but others say you can play online if everyone in your room also have it
i've used them in a few playthroughs and have never been banned, you can also go online without EAC in an ini file for the mod manager
to clarify, i've never used cheat engine and ypur mileage may vary playing online with mods, never touched online modes with randoms. i can confirm they work with friends online as long as they have the exact same mods setup though.
just use xv2patcher from eternity tools, the most recent save editor on videogamemods, and koalageddon for dlc cracking (you can find a thread about it on csrinru)
the mod manager does need an update for every new patch so no guarantee it's up-to-date currently
>That SSG Vegito
Frick that's the one fricking mod that made me really curious about modding, joined their discord to ask something and they treated me like one of the hundreds of mouthbreathers that can't be bothered to read the FAQ because my question sounded vaguely similar to theirs
>never touched online modes with randoms
That's perfect, I'm fine with just using mods for photo mode of vs cpu
>the mod manager does need an update for every new patch
This worries me because as far as I know the only way to keep up with the game news is by checking a fricking japanese news site, the only thing that gets globally reported is DLC dripfed info, which incidentally reminds me of how much inconsistency or straight up useless info there is in the english translation of the game, this truly is just a cashcow for them at this point
>discord
should've known better
Yeah, I'm not sure where to keep up with info or ask questions on certain games and I don't want to make a Reddit account but I swear people on Discord servers centered around games are illiterate as frick, when there's a common issue, everyone asks the same shit over and over so everyone gets understandably upset, and when I come in with a different issue they take my question out of context and have to play 20 questions
>Looking for eternity tools
>Guide button on the sidebar
>Sorry we have no guides at the moment
Welp, I've done this before with a pirated version so I think I'll be able to figure it out, hope I won't get banned or that at least it won't be a VAC ban, surely this game will finally die when the HoJ2 DLC comes out anyway
Reddit is preferable to Discord. They're both circlejerks but Discord somehow attracts a different kind of moronic midwit that is ten times more obnoxious because they think they're in some secret club.
Modding in XV2 is pretty dead simple, 99% of mods are just a oneclick with the mod manager and everything else like XV2 Revamp also come with an installer exe just to move textures into the game's directory
Updates are really only tied to DLC releases from what I've seen and the Steam News window in your library does a good job of warning early if you curate it
There's a discord called The Citadel that posts announcements when the mod launcher is being updated, but I don't remember the invite code. It's tied to videogamemods I believe which is where you can find Eternity's Tools and everything else
You can unlock the Boss unlike XV1.
had to switch to Japanese because the English dub is so shit. It looks like they're reading stuff translated straight from google. Some lines don't even make sense.
Bought it during the fall steam sale and I had fun with it, got my 10 or 15 bucks out of it
Never played the first game
