Smash would've stayed on the 64 if it was still that Dragon King filled with literal whos

It just coincidentally happen that every Smash clones is shit. They don't HAVE to be shit... but they are.
Rivals of Aether is probably the best one but it's an indie game with a low budget competing against one of the biggest game in the industry.

Kungfu panda and Playstation allstars coulda been good if the physics didnt suck. Ragdoll kungfu was half decent

        >Playstation allstars
I will forever mourn what could have been, unfortunately it was made in the PS3 era, the point in which Sony started going to shit. They should have ripped of Smash sooner and made it during the PS2's lifetime, at least then Sony could have eked at least potentially good PSABR

Polish mostly, and Sakurai's unmatched autism

  6. 3 weeks ago
    again

Smash's pull are the characters and design gameplay peaked at Melee, and they don't know ho or why, but Sakurai admits it was a fricking pain in the ass to tweak and balance that shit, so newer Smash are toned down in variables, changing the game as well.

Any lazy ass homosexual wouldn't even attempt to take on the laziest Sakurai work. Won't even scratch Melee. (Melee is still an unbalanced game and it's time to let it go)

I want the next smash to have half the roster of ultimate but with 10/10 gameplay
focusing on a smaller set of characters would allow more depth for each of them I think, maybe adjusted movesets for legacy characters to fit their newer games too

what this shithole board will never admit is that it's akshually hard to make games nintendo excel at which is why they have such a monopoly on stuff like kart racers or platform fighters despite countless clones

of course these mongoloids will then argue it's not a question of quality but tendies being le cult members who simply don't see the better alternatives, but what can you do with these seething delusional homosexuals

Polish, budget and Melee's goodwill as well as Brawl's goodwill with opening the door for 3rd parties and Smash has been coasting off the latter for years.

better question is why no one has cloned an exact copy with the exact same physics and feel of characters of the best game most popular and talked about, smash melee?

Every Smash clone tries too hard to exclusively cater to the Melee autists.

No passion behind them. Multivers7s being a recent and clear example of it. Yeah, it has memes and cra0, but that's just for normies to gush at, and even then, they fricking fail miserably at it, as seen by the meme inclusion of Banana Guard

For me it's animations. Smash has so many detailed animations for every sort of movement and transition between movements. Every Smash clone I've ever seen looks like Inferno Cop by comparison.

Why do you shitposters always ignore Rivals of Aether and Brawlhalla? Oh right, because they don't fit your narrative.

The good ones lack brand recognition.
The ones with brand recognition get shafted by small budgets or executive interference.
Smash only got where it is because it was the first one like itself and Nintendo just kind of let Sakurai do what he wanted with the series for better or worse with a pretty sizable budget.

No one can beat Sakurai's level of player-friendly design and polish. Start up Smash and just mash A for a second and you've blown past every menu and can select your fighter, because that's what people want to do. On the off chance you don't want to do that, you can rearrange the menu buttons however you want with the drag and drop system that's always active, because Sakurai is the type of guy will look at a fricking menu and think "how can we make this fun?"

he's the type of guy who sees people enjoying his game in a way he doesn't personally approve of and think "how can I make the sequel worse for everyone at all levels of skill?"

    1. Try to appeal to smelee audience and failing (because that is impossible, and they will never ever stop playing melee)
    2. Failing to have anything over just playing smash bros otherwise. So you made a semi-competent platform fighter with literal who OCs, so fricking what? Why play it instead of just playing smash bros? Chances are, there is no fricking reason to play them over smash bros.
Basically, you can try to appeal to the compgay smelee audience and inevitably fail because you aren't melee
Or you can try for a more general appeal and inevitably fail because as good as your platform fighter is, it probably isn't actually better in any way that a general audience cares about

most of these games go full moron with some blatantly bad design choice(s) and/or have low budgets. MVS is a pretty great example right now because they had enough of a foundation to make a decent game but chucked it off a cliff and that's before getting to the new and improved israeliteery

The real question is why do smash gays lose their shit and have autustic meltdowns everytime a new party fighter releases. Fricking embarrassing. Inagine if a wolfen stein 3d fan acted the way they do everything a new f ps comes out.
