How the fuck do you remember their names?
How the fuck do you remember their names?

Grumpsnail, Daggertooth, Bowldeer, Firefish.
Fat ugly slug (You Will Never Be A Wo-Chien)
Chinks eat cats, so kung pao becomes Chien-Pao
the fish is tiny and it probably sounds cute when it sneezes (Chi-Yu)
and then the other one
>Fat ugly slug (You Will Never Be A Wo-Chien)
....it bothers me that I'll probably remember this now.
Chingchong Snail
Chingchong Wolf
Chingchong Bull
Chingchong Fish
Wo-Chien
Chien-Pao
Ting-Lu
Chi-Yu
Pao = Paw = Cat
Chi = Energy = Energy Fish
Wo = Wow = Live Snail Reaction
Ting = Sound that makes when I hit my spoon in my cereal bowl = Deer
Ching Chong
Bing Bong
Ping Pong
Clyde
So you can remember hundreds of pronouns and gender identities... but somehow, Chink Pokémon names are "too complicated"?
same way you remember everything else?
Wo-Chien
Chien-Pao
Ting-Lu
Chi-Yu
Ching-Chong
Hou-Flung-Dung
Kim-Bap
Sum-Yung-Gai
Not that hard to remember, dude...
Ling
Bing
Ding
Moe
>grassslug
>nuudlecat
>fishii
>boxd
That's how.
A trick would be remembering them for only one part of their name name first, Pao, Yu, Wo, Lu, then get used to full name.
Kung-Pao, Phuoc-Yu, Wo-Lo, Zu-Lu
I have a weird affinity for remembering Pokémon names
a new coworker can tell me their name 10 times and I’ll still forget it
but I read Wo-Chien once and it was locked in
Their English names are literally just Chinese for what they are.
Wo-Chien - wō (snail) + jiǎn (bamboo slips)
Chien-Pao - bǎojiàn (treasure sword) + bào (leopard)
Ting-Lu - dǐng (cauldron) + lù (deer)
Chi-Yu - jìyú (goldfish) + yù (jade)
Snamboo
Swopard
Cauldreer
Jadefish
The same way that I remember any other name. I hear it, and then remember it.
