It's been one episode. All the people cheering about how it's "not woke" are going to have an aneurism in about 3 weeks. And when they got to Season 2, the adaptation of TLOU2? Oh, boy. Fun times.
It doesn't even matter. The Last of Us was libshit woke crap, The Last of Us 2 was libshit woke crap and the show is libshit woke trash. It's literally all the same thing. You have nothing to complain about you little turd. Shut up and enjoy your gruel.
rent free
TLOU2 was so fricking funny and gay. They had that one troony kid, as if in a post-apocalyptic world people would still be worried about pronouns and gender identity bullshit.
Frick I kinda wish we DID enter that world so all those blue haired morons got a dose of actual problems rather than just their day to day neurosis of having no real struggle to live.
The best thing about them being mad about pronouns and shit, is that the apocalypse in tlou is supposed to happen around 2013, wayyyyy before anyone lobbied for troony shit, so it doesn't make sense in universe.
Have you seen what they do with shit that's supposed to take place hundreds of years ago? They don't care. If you push them even a little they will often openly admit they're revising history because they believe the ends justify the means.
There was a Kotaku/Polygon writer back when Dunkirk came out straight up arguing that they should have casted a bunch of non-white actors for the sake of building the idea Britain has a diverse and multicultural history instead of portraying what she admitted was more accurate to what really happened historically.
>abloobloo
Holy shit just hire a hooker already.
Imagine having such a flimsy worldview that you believe blowing money on a drug addict to achieve a wet dick can completely change it.
exactly dude, that's also the irony of every troony homosexual alive today and all the made up new pronouns like 'xir' and crap. since man was able to speak it wasn't a problem to call a male a male, a female a female, but suddenly these dickheads saw propaganda on television and now it becomes a holocaust if they're not referred to by their designated "pronoun" based on whatever moronic fetish they compartmentalise the homosexual into.
ALL these mentally ill zoomer shitheads that have destroyed their bodies would have been fine had they been born just ten years earlier. They would have had a goth phase, an emo phase, whatever, and would have grown out of it and that would be it. Instead a "phase" now is an idiot kid destroying his body forever with hormones that rob him of testosterone (which is literally key to a man's mental health). it's seriously just so fricking disgusting. Thanks so much israelites.

Everyone know its gonna be woke if they follow the games. For once its not needed to make it pozzed because the game pozzed itself
>Everyone know its gonna be woke if they follow the games. For once its not needed to make it pozzed because the game pozzed itself
The TV show has multiple episodes (we're talking feature film length) devoted to Bill's gay relationship. They've also changed a bunch of characters who appear later. The black kid is deaf now, for example.
Half the episode was boring trash.
Story telling in video games is fundamentally different when compared to movies (or even books for that matter) because it usually has a level of control.
Lets take MetalGearSolid 3 for example with the final (the) Boss scene in the flower field. The game waits for the player to pull the trigger and this illicits an emotional attachment because it was essentially YOU who made it happen.
This is especially true in RPGs where a player creates a self-insert character or someone is actually roleplaying their characters, which also illicits emotional attachment to what happens to their character more than self-inserting to a character in a book.
All this said, the best part of the first episode was the talk-show prelude in my opinion. Take whatever conclusions you want from this.
>This is especially true in RPGs where a player creates a self-insert character or someone is actually roleplaying their characters
People in Ganker don't do this. They just try to make the most coomer appealing character and then just meta the frick out of the game. Not to say that you're not on point however.
You're fricking moronic, I play a big boobed dark elf, how the frick am I using it as a vessel as a self insert. I'm not a troony like you.
Did you fail to read the word "or" anon? Obviously your character isn't a self-insert unless you are an actual woman (female).
Also not every character has to be made for roleplaying purposes. Your character seems like a tailor-made sex appeal character for whatever reasons you had when you made your decision. Godspeed.
I’m so proud of how awesome video games have become I consider the last of us to be one of the all time greats
games don't really have any advantage over a tv miniseries. outside of super bloated rpgs they can match any game's amount of story content.
I'd rather play a game than watch a movie anyway dude, even streaming is better than movies or TV shows. I don't even like anime anymore, I like reaction videos from people who watch anime.
lol low iq shitter spotted
At least I'm having fun. I can't be like you. Watching movies ar
Is boring unless you can skip all the shit scenes, same with TV shows. Streams let you skip all the boring shit and gets you right to the dopamine dump. And you can listen to people who don't actually annoy you talk about the media content. Film isn't interactive dude. You don't need to give it so much of your energy.
>When you're lost in the darkness look for the light
Even for Kingdom Hearts that is fricking corny.

Is this some collective Amerigay PsyOps to overrate a bog standard zombie drama about a middle-aged drunkard discovering hia father instincts for the first time to hell?
Yes
I fricking hate people who call this story the greatest thing to ever happen since sliced bread.
Neither the story nor the zombie concept are good tbdesu. They aren't new either. I'm saying this as an actual fan of the first game.
TLoU is carried by EXECUTION. Execution of well-known tropes. Even if it still has some holes. No fricks would've been given by me if it was done by David Cage or TWD staff because they can't direct shit. It's all Naughty Dog's job. The sooner people realize it the better, but I'm afraid that this day won't come during my life.
Like Druckman said 'simple story, complex characters'
One could say that in Part 2 they even got too complex.
If it works it's because they didn't copy, they adapted the story to a different language
Is this how they're going to make every zoomer a troony or gay?
>captcha
welp
god that b***h is so fricking ugly and joel looks like a homosexual. gimme some cute jailbait bawd not this ugly abomination.
jokes aside, there are "people" who unironically think this
That would be League of Legend serie
Its alright
Still not gunna watch it. Maybe I'll replay it though, the version that's not complete shit I mean
Castlevania was the first properly goof video game adaptation
Has the success of the show resulted in a boost of sales in the Last of us remake like the witcher show boosted the sales of witcher 3? I assume that is why they did the remake tbh
As good as It might be Im not gonna watch it. Because Im not going to watch at an ugly creature. Main Actresses must be beautiful or at least 5/10 not it would look better with bag over its head. Especially when you know how cute vidya ellie is. Damn, Id rather they casted a cute troony than that abomination as Ellie.
ESL
americans can't even learn english as a first language
TLOU is as on rails and cinematic as a game can get without being a walking simulator. It was always trying to emulate film/tv, so the ease with which they've translated the game to film/tv shouldn't be surprising nor considered an accomplishment. I guarantee the game still comes out the better property by the end.
This shit is astroturfed harder than Arcane, another fricking turd.
It isn't but popular video games have a well established fanbase before the show even begins. A high budget product even if it might lack in quality can profit off of this easily. I haven't seen or played TLOU but this was indeed the case with Witcher and I would expect TLOU to be more polished because of HBO
Cuckmann finally got his slop on television.
how do I explain to my friends that the show would be better if ellie was not ugly without sounding like a pedo?
If they are truly your friends they should already know wether you are a pedo or not.
Just tell them that Ganker Ellie looks fricking ugly when compared to Ganker Ellie.
im not a pedo tho just hard to root for someone so visually offensive
Tell your friends you can remark on someone's looks without wanting to frick them if they b***h about it or call you a ped.
>all the HBO shills out now
>one of the best stories of a video game
Play more games holy shit.
>Is story telling in video games that much better than tv and movies?
You already answered your own question with
>Copy one of the best stories of a video game beat for bear
You're comparing (according to some) the best video game story to the best show of 2022.
House of the Dragon is good but it's not even in the top 100 films/series of all time. It's probably not even in the top 500 or 1000. Now compare The Last of Us to those
Also we can already see a problem when we can directly compare films to games and consider a game good when we can easily adapt them. If I want a good story and visuals I could just watch a film. A GOAT game needs to use it's strength for a mindblowing experience, that strength being interactivity.
I'm not necessary talking about what game has the tightest or most fun gameplay, but what game delivers a profound experience to the player with gameplay.
Like Nier: Automata using and twisting gameplay elements for emotional effect, instead of only using gameplay as a tool for fun combat experience
I think part of the reason it's already top 10 on imdb is because for a long time whenever they did a video game adaptation they took out too much to really tell the story and changed things to fit holywood. This being basically a shot for shot remake is exactly what people that like the first game wanted. That and there's so many more people playing video games so you put out a video game adaptation and you've hit at least 50% of the entire population
See
yes, everyone has known that 3rd person naughty dog games are basically movies since uncharted`
Frick off, shill
>Already top ten in imbd
this means nothing, it's going to drop hard like every show
>Is story telling in video games that much better than tv and movies
it's not but storytelling in video games isn't far behind TVs and movies. witcher 3 has better writing than almost anything on netflix. some nip video games made me care more about characters than most movies andTV shows do.
Druckmann just keeps on winning bros
Frick everyone in this thread, Bella Ramsey is a good pick for Ellie
t. ugly troon danger hair
No zoom zoom.
Most game adaptations into TV or movie are shit.
The reason why TLOU is not mediocre is because they copied The Walking dead which was a movie game by TellTale.
So basically TLOU game was a rewritten script for the tv show adaptation
>The reason why TLOU is not mediocre is because they copied The Walking dead
IDK I'd say they stole from the road and children of man
is episode 2 on torrents yet?
Imagine paying for hbo to watch this when it's already been on YouTube for free for years.
Realistically it should of released as a TV show to begin with because the devs clearly didn't want to make a videogame.
>one of the best stories of a video game beat for bear
Imagine knowing so little about videogames that you unironically believe this
To be fair, how many game stories are there which are (1) very high quality and (2) lend themselves to such a direct adaptation?
I can think of a couple candidates, but it can't be a very long list.
>Copypaste
The games, the art, the music, the films. No thank you.
>Mum said its my turn to play
>one of the best stories of a video game
Awful bait
