    remove level up through experience
    add level up through boss defeat like in sekiro
    scale boss to player level
    more linear world
    weapon damage tied to level, no upgrades
    make armor sets have skill bonuses, gameplay mechanics
    revert last minute story changes, and add back in cut story content
    no anime bosses that jump around everywhere with terrible hitboxes
    enemies don't input read
    enemy attacks can bounce off environment like the player
    enemy attacks don't clip through the environment and hit you behind a wall
    probably a lot more things I can't think of atm

    i still don't understand how poise works, are there breakpoints for certain effects with it?
    I've noticed that when I wear a certain amount of armor I don't get hyperarmor but I also don't get knocked down by attacks that would normally knock me down but it seems inconsistent. At least the stat actually does something unlike DS3 tho

    Move combat into a middle ground between Souls and Sekiro. Combat should be based on tempo of attacking and well timed blocks and mastering a parry system, not the rolling. A few core weapons + unlockable Tools/Techniques as opposed to a dozen different weapon types. This is more my personal preference for gameplay and aesthetic. I enjoy Dark Souls gameplay but to this day I still think rolling is a silly mechanic. Sekiro was much better than Dark Souls at making you feel like a warrior on par with the bosses you are fighting, which I enjoy.

    Drop the multiplayer aspect outside of Co-op, which instead of allowing for invasion should increase the number of enemies in given locations or even enable new traps as opposed to just HP bloat for bosses. That or vastly improve the net code, and make PVP combat super deadly with typically only 2/3 hits determining a victor, more about what player has the better sense of the enemies moveset and can make opening and apply pressure as opposed to who can spam AoEs the hardest or has the meta build or knows how to counter said meta build. Perhaps add dedicated Co-Op Dungeons with mechanics, layouts, and enemies that take specific advantage of it.

    Upgrade system should allow for redistribution of gained weapon levels. Instead of being stuck with whatever weapon you first started upgrading to higher levels in Lucaria you should be able to transmog +Values between different weapons.

    Quests shouldn't end in characters death outside of a few situations, instead they should have relocated to Roundtable Hold to join your faction as incumbent Elden Lord, interacting with each other, offering special items or services and interacting with each other. Make it feel like there is something worth ruling over once you become Elden Lord.

    Cut the amount of Bonfires in half. They're way to common and I very rarely had that sense of relief at finding a bonfire during my first playthrough in Elden Ring like I did in the others.

        How do you figure? Sekiro's sale performance at launch was better than any Dark Souls title. Elden Rings performance dwarfed any previous From Soft title. The majority of the playerbase wasn't Souls veterans tied to that style of gameplay.

    Remove weapon upgrade materials and add a weapon mastery system instead. If I used a 1 handed swords alot, I'll max out my proficiency with them.
    I want to be able to pick up any new 1 handed sword is use it to it's max potential. Elden Ring has too many weapons to test out for a limited supply of upgrade materials per run.
