My friend used to steal the entire yugioh section of target that was behind the row of registers. We ran to the burger king that was a few blocks away and realized he stole 100 dollars worth of structure decks that all had the same exact cards in them.

People who rip modern pokemon are throwing their money away. "Moonbreon" was one of the biggest chase cards and there were almost 10,000 PSA 10s of it. Fucking fad driven addiction. Buy singles.
It's fun waiting for deals on sealed product and stores closing having clearance on their shit. The only TCG I play is Yugioh, but I've been grabbing boxes of MtG, PKMN, DBS, One Piece, and a bunch of other random shit. idk if I'll rip it open one day like it's christmas or if I'll just flip it, but it's fun to search for sales and people selling their collections for pennies on ebay
I have every mon from gen 1 + 2, and the few favorites I have from Gen III. I have just about every mewtwo and deoxys card I want, and all I need is the 151 wartortle to get here from Nippon and I can finally stop throwing away money
Humidity will fuse the card to the pvc sleeve and you can easily damage your cards by moving them out of the binder. It doesn't look like that anon is using sleeves at all.
Back when the original cards were coming out in the late 90s I used to mock my friend for paying the extra dollar for 1st edition booster packs
Guess I was wrong
Nah, this shit is a huge bubble. You can make some money out of it if you know what you are doing, but most people here will be holding the bags and coping afterwards
I would absolutely sell the cards I hung onto for the past 25 years at the prices they are offering for 1st edition
You only have to worry about bagholding if you are buying
I have a first edition 'zard but it's in my Pokémon TCG Draft Cube with the full collection of the first gen cards and all the promos and Japanese vending machine cards. Fuck collectors. Cards are for playing. 🙂
>Final evolution >4 energy cost attack >Discards 2 energy each attack >3 energy retreat cost >Weak to the common water type >Ability can only be used by charizard, so no synergy with other pokemon
What a complete shitmon, even as a card.
I have no idea I only know the Dark Charmeleon came with Kraft cheese slices as some promotion for the launch of the TR cards. They were next to worthless for a good 18 years.
I knew a kid in middle school who bought a foil charizard for over $100 and I thought he was insane. He played with the thing in a deck without sleeves, shuffled it, got oily fingerprints all over it. Eventually it ended up curving like most pokemon foils, and it was in pretty bad condition all around.
I own those 'mons but probably not 1st editions and not in euro currency.
>Bought a 2nd edition Charizard PSA 8 for just over $50 instead of coughing up for the 1st edition in the mid 2010s
Still hurts
>he fell for the graded meme
Unlimited cards do not sell for 4+ fucking digits.
Nintentroons are miserable
Sure, just less miserable than snoys and PC vegans
Lmao triggered tendie.
GabeN gives out free cards, you know?
>digital
you own nothing
Yeah I have a PC too. Steam is trash, you know?
laptops for high school work don't count, fren
Sure
My MtG collection is worth over $10,000 and I'm honestly thinking about getting out. The game is changing in ways I don't like
nothing wrong with that anon, could just sell a couple of cards you don't love and see how you feel afterwards
I work at a game store and we completely avoid graded shit.
Noone has ever once wanted to get an already graded card, its always someone who wants to grade and flip the card themselves.
i used to steal boxes of pokemon cards from KB toys. pulled one base set charizard
My friend used to steal the entire yugioh section of target that was behind the row of registers. We ran to the burger king that was a few blocks away and realized he stole 100 dollars worth of structure decks that all had the same exact cards in them.
Give it back, Jamal and Tyrone.
How did you know he was black?
female intuition
good, I bought a starter deck and a couple booster packs, I'm ready to play the game with my collection
This whole grading thing is so retarded. Who grades these things?
Me
>This whole grading thing is so retarded. Who grades these things?
People who think they are smart but are in reality extremely stupid
go look it up on youtube, it's rather pleasing
It's literally the only way to increase their value
what if I collect because I like the cards?
Then you're a true collector and not just a card flipper

isn’t pikachu illustrator $100k+?

Don't use a binder.
why
dont
why?
DO NOT
Humidity will fuse the card to the pvc sleeve and you can easily damage your cards by moving them out of the binder. It doesn't look like that anon is using sleeves at all.
only my first editions and that ancient mew have sleeves
theres no humidity where I live
>theres no humidity where I live
HUH
little I guess
It's less safe for the card. Use penny sleeves in a toploader.
>spend another 70 bucks so you can have negligible difference in storing your cards
nah
They're called penny sleeves for a reason. A pack of 500 are like 5 bucks
I was referring to the toploader
12 bucks for a 100 pack. Do the math, Jr.
the toploader is the binder, right?
It's a rigid plastic sleeve to put the card in
I have those already from buying the cards individually. I thought the issue was the binder Im using
Binders can cause damage to cards
and penny sleeves don't?
Eating food and drinking water causes cancer. Doesn't mean cigarettes are healthy
Then ignore it.
and yet people have been putting them in binders for decades....
methinks its such a negligible occurence that its fine to ignore
>methinks durrr hurr duuhhhh
Say that to my abra's face
Take your rectangle cases and shove em up your pooper
Average penny sleeve fan vs the chad humidity enjoyer
Toploaders can't fit in most binders
Ok enjoy your damaged cards
My post didn't say those things. Did you quote the wrong post.
many binder pages have a tendency to bend and crease the cards that are close to where the rings are.
what drives people pay so much for some paper?
autism, FOMO, and bag holding
The majority of people on this planet work 40-plus a week for paper anon
ok you got me, but nowadays that paper is digital
Insanely smart intellectual here
real money is made out of cotton
We have a chad on our hands
i leik money
It's gambling
Let me guess, you don't understand professional wrestling because it's fake
I never understood any sports
>he didn't get foil cards
Sony fans are so fucking pathetic
Back when the original cards were coming out in the late 90s I used to mock my friend for paying the extra dollar for 1st edition booster packs
Guess I was wrong

I’m collecting kemono figures and pic related’s manufacturer just announced their second figure so I’m hyped.
they made prune into a furry?
Just bought two packs of Mario Wonder trading cards. Have an $800 NFL order processing at PSA atm.
I own a Gaea's cradle. Not the tournament gold border one.

This guy's collection got stolen by his Lunchtime Rowdy adopted son. He was selling them for 5 fucking dollars lol

Get kidnapped
Get shot by a cop, rowdy.
>having anything valuable around kids not behind lock and key
>yeaaa dude we in a recession
My collection is worth about USD 8,000
I just bought a bunch of cards for a zombie deck. Gonna sleeve it up and go play before prerelease this weekend.
>Final evolution
>4 energy cost attack
>Discards 2 energy each attack

What a complete shitmon, even as a card.
these are my rarest i think. i got them over decade ago
Pic isn't mine but I still have one of these
I have a bunch of dark Pokemon cards, are they worth anything? I also have a lot of this Abra
All my cards are from the early 2000's
I have no idea I only know the Dark Charmeleon came with Kraft cheese slices as some promotion for the launch of the TR cards. They were next to worthless for a good 18 years.
I got one of them 'fat bottom' shadowless first-edition without the first edition stamp Charizard.
I should probably get it appraised.
To anyone asking if their cards are worth anything. They aren't.
my jungle set scyther and 1st edition machamp still make me smile
and thats what is important
>there will never be another Pokemon TCG video game
>I've got that exact dragonite
>But after 20 years in the closet it's bent
its over
It was only worth twenty bucks at best.
hey that's still 20 bucks
>he didn't store his dragonite in the freezer
I knew a kid in middle school who bought a foil charizard for over $100 and I thought he was insane. >the VIRGIN, beta card caretaker who stores his cards in bricks
>the CHAD, doesnt give a fuck schoolyard PTCG champuon
yea... he was terrible at the game and he's in prison right now for the third time for stealing cars.
i have more gen1 cards. i traded my ps2 for these in childhood
