The game has great presentation and gameplay segments when they're actually sprinkled in, but I really do not believe for a second that this is supposed to set the bar. For pacing and narrative, games should be doing everything opposite. It is beat-for-beat the most uncreative thing I have ever played.

People seem to think the criticism are mostly leveled toward Joel's death but the story went full retard in a lots of ways. The logic the characters made throughout the game are very weird to me, like something out of the movie Prometheus where skilled characters somewhat doing the dumbest things because the plot required them so.
Hell this extends to Joel too, the actions he did during his meeting with Abby even softened from his peaceful days in Jackson is stupid as hell. This was coming from he guy who rawdogged the apocalypse for 40+ years.
