Most of them don't have dicks. The species is mostly male and female, with "hermales" being a rare mutation. I think some sort of lore document leaked somewhere and might've even been on the wiki, but it's apparently wildly out of date.
It never leaked, you can read it on the wiki if you check previous version of the ariral page. Its also on a Google doc. Almost all of it is subject to change though.

Printer/Fax allows you to print photos taken with the digital camera
Industrial Printer allows you to import .obj files as 3d physics props
If you take photos via the digital cam ingame you can use it to print them out, probably something else I'm missing but it's worth the money just for that

is exactly why the game want you to drink coffee or ideally if you have the points to spend chocolate bars (no harmful side effects) as sleeping only speed up the clock/time, processing and the 3D printer. Everything else is in real time. Hit or miss if entities are effected but the drone isn't one of them.

i just realized i can save all those signals to computer always been downloading signals, saving to computer while im running around fixing servers hash checking and reseting transformers upgraded early one play through and it became a nightmare where completing a daily meant missing one or two days

Ideally you should always have a signal being found (waiting for the satellites) or downloading AND another processing. Unless you have like 3 days worth of drives for tasks there is little reason to not make a decent collection in advance. You may delay computer power (overall profit) if you simply can't keep up but ideally it is better to work your ass off in 3 days for the same amount of points that would otherwise take you like a full week to make with level 0s if not longer. Once you get the ball rolling the game quickly become easy. The first three days are the only challenging bits. Everything should be maxed by day 20 leaving the other 20 for you to basically fuck around and watch TV doing the bare min. If I feel like playing extremely slow and casual I may wait a day or two before upgrading computer power though the longer you wait the more signals you gotta copy and process all at once just to catch up.

Yes but do not just because it is Planet [1] or whatever, EVEN if it have the same image it may or may not actually be a dupe. Turning glossary notifications on is the easiest way to know if it is a dupe or not but otherwise you have to check the file size as that is really the only thing set in stone. Even then multiple signals can share the same file size though unlikely. Like to give an idea there is 6 signals that comes from Earth alone. There is like over 20 that comes from deep space with no object picture. In total there is over 200 unique signals though not even 1/4th of them have anything noteworthy on them. Glossary aside the game give extremely little info about signals while actually playing the game.

Most can only be obtained by getting the one that comes before it or when you reach a given day. Pyramid being a good example can only be gotten while the yellow wisps are out but before the pyramid itself comes.

I would also like it if signal processing and calculations could be separate things on the power block so I don't need to have the entire 40% power consumption going when I just want to check server status on the computers or grab hashes but don't need to process signals and vice versa

Bad sun was decided a day in advance. If you saved at all the day before then you MUST do the event to completion or else reset your save file in some way. Unsure how End is Near works exactly beyond being active as soon you get level 3 drive regardless if you look at it or not. Heard some people had brick their saves over it. There is only like 2 drives in the whole game currently with 0.0666MB file size. If you get it then maybe turn autosaving off for a bit. There are achievements for dying to bad sun and the end is near. They should be applied to the data file as soon you hit the main menu on death, if you want to be extra safe you can make sure they saved by applying your settings.

Accept you gotta learn stuff the hard way. As long fines are disabled on your settings nothing bad will happen if you don't do your job. You can spend literal days doing nothing and it wouldn't hurt you. Just try to learn the game then maybe try a legit run from the start doing your daily tasks. Under settings in the E tab (experimental) you can disable Dr. Kel being picky with food. Highly recommend disabling that and only enable it once you know how to get enough points for a decent diet and still make progress. First run, heck first few runs will likely be ass.
I would also add that you can shove stuff into the mailbox by your front door to transfer them between saves so if you've gotten yourself some tools but you feel like you're in a fucked situation you can start a new game and not feel like you lost absolutely all your progress

so I started playing this about a week ago, and I thought the ambience and tense atmosphere was cool but now I see the dev adding robots with wide hips and furries. sooo... was this always supposed to not be a horror game? or at least a tense game? most of the light dread and tension I've felt has completely evaporated after this cat robot showed up
It a weird mix between a ambience job sim with small bits of horror/thriller stuff but also the dev dumping grounds for any shit idea he may have or think could be funny. Literally a lot of stuff exist just because he wanted Joel to see it. Thankfully if the Kerfus kill your mood you can simply play without them. Maxed out servers generally is enough to make it so only 1-2 servers might fail at any given day if at that.

God fucking damn it I knew this shit was going to happen eventually. Had a votv dream, was getting chased by greys, jumped on the ATV and hauled ass to the tree house screaming for help, a couple of arir blasted them from the window of the tree house and then went back to sleep. I probably owed them a lot of shrimp but I woke up before I could place the order.
honestly sound like a happy dream. I would buy the shrimp anyway irl game just because of that. I am the type that used to load up old ass games trying to go to the secrets areas because I saw them in a dream. Knowing they are fake I like fulfilling dreams if that make any sense.

Did you adjust the polarity/frequency to match the signal?
The polarity mode might also need to be correct to get the signal too (I can't remember if the tutorial had the module to not need it)
it says I need to do that only if I can't find the signal, but I guess it's that. I'll try again then, in 3/4 hours or so

I don't know if you are shitposting or not, but genuine spoiler: The story doesn't actually start until about day 10 and lasts until I think day 44 with the most recent update. The game will try to lead you to certain areas sometimes, especially with the radar, to show you where you will encounter something. The first 10 days are supposed to be a sort of tutorial period, only random events can happen.

Maybe just a bit? I'm like 20 hash reports (played on easy early on), 10 generator resets and god knows how many tapes in and I'm feeling restless. I've looked at some spoilers and it doesn't seem like the picnic spawned and without a single interesting signal (planet, gas giant, asteroid, neutron star, planet...) I've been starting to wonder if the internal scripting died. I've had the odd foggy / rainy / stormy / firefly day, but nothing dramatic.
Well then go ahead and read my spoiler, it only spoils how the story mode works, not a specific event.

I had a 'unknown' signal that sounded like a really distorted 'we come in peace'. Might have been from an odd triangle thing. I really did expect more random signals and events though.
Signals are not events, those are pretty much random, though there are events tied to getting the signals. Daily events are set in stone, though some are blink and you'll miss it. The game does try to make you aware of them, however.

That one's fair: it could definitely be a bit less hyper around the player, just so that it's easier to interact with.

The "toggle" option enables/disables it, so that it isn't dragging the thing around everywhere.
