holy cope pokéfags. pokémon is a boring game with pointlessly drawn out battles that always resume themselves to "spam SE move to win". the only fun you can have in pokémon is in comp. if you play the mainline games as an adult without speeding anything up you are literally simply wasting your time, and if you're PROUD of this then you're a massive idiot kek

I like the story, I like the mechanics, my only problem is that it can be a slogfest and the games aren't actually designed to be played correctly, leading to grinding sessions.

It sucks that the game doesn't teach you to strategize, so you just do this until they throw battles at you where that strategy doesn't work. Then instead of trying to come up with a strategy you just go grind levels and then continue spamming attack moves. At least raids are forcing people to strategize some since some of them are tough even at level 100 with max EVs.
This is a problem with you and not with the games and you're a gay if you imply or pretend otherwise.
