As a base design, Dragonite is goofy. Dragonite is only cool when depicted doing cool things, which you can do for any Pokemon.
Its shit everytime they make him look cool in the anime and tcg is just worse and laughable

I don't despise it or anything but it really feels like such a downgrade from how elegant Dragonair looks. I think if it was just its own mon or had prevos that resembled it more, it wouldn't get nearly as much hate.
You see Dragonair and it’s design and it’s simple but elegant, and then it evolved into this lumpen thing. It was one of the first evolutions for me that made no sense. It probably would’ve worked better as it’s own ‘mon or having a different pre-evolved design separate from Dratini/Dragonair
Dragonair had a cool mystical look to it, and then suddenly it just becomes this cartoon looking dragon with hands, feet, wings (that don't look like Dragonair's ear wings), and a complete color change.
Literally all they have in common is a horn on the head, but in different positions.
