You can get Mew in BDSP before the first badge if you have LGPE data on your Switch. If you're going for a living dex, BDSP is worth owning since it's the only Switch game you can get Jirachi in.

I'm not OP, I completed the LGPE dex by hacking Mew in with a discord sysbot because Gamefreak are israelites. Not only can you not trade the Go Mew in, you have to buy a brand new Pokeball+ which go for over 200 dollars now sealed, because the moment you've transferred the Mew from a ball to the game, that ball will never again give you another Mew. The Mew is restricted to the ball, not save files, so LGPE Mews are LITERALLY a dwindling commodity and will become with time the rarest legitimate Pokémon to obtain.

5 stops, 10 Pokemon, transfer 5
All easily doable in 5 minutes if you live in a city
>Stage 2
2 candy, 3 eggs, 10 great throws
Throws are easy, candy and eggs can take a while but Magikarp candy is 1km and easiest eggs are 2km each. So basically you need to walk 4km because stage one gives you an incubator for completion. That's doable in less than 1h.
>Stage 3
Lv 15, 2 raids, 2 gyms
Lv 15 is doable in a day or two, others are easy
>Stage 4
Kanto medal, evolve 20, 5 candy
5 km for Magikarp candy, evolving is easy after catching a bunch of bugs and shitmons for a few hours, Kanto medal can take a while considering that the game is no longer gen 1 exclusive, fair enough
>Stage 5
Ditto, 10 ghosts, 20 throws
Ditto is the hard task as I said before.

Lv 25, evolve Magikarp, 10 raids
Lv 25 is doable within a week, Magikarp needs 400 candies but if he's walking with one since starting and catching Magikarp with Pinap berries, he should have near enough by this point. He can also use Defit easily to get the rest.
It's time consuming but not a massive grind. You can get the Mew in a week if you grind it out optimally, or in a month just playing the game casually for a few hours a week. depends solely on the rng for Kanto and Ditto spawns.
