Feel like i wasted my money and because of this have to squeeze out at least a few hours out of a shitty game. This whole genre of bad, usually shitty jap, Blade of Darkness parodies is a cancer on the gaming industry. Its genuine trash, because its full of "Surprise surprise got you!!!" bullshit followed immediately by a game mechanic designed for nothing other than disregarding and wasting a persons free time by making you run all the way back and fighting through the same enemies
Works on my machine.
Sounds like a skill issue
Have you tried trying getting gut
>playing generic homosexual souls fotm game #1000534
>fighting the boss
>boss does surprise instagib move that you simply had to know it exists
>"omg wow this is so deep gameplay! i will force myself to do this repeatedly and the next 20 bosses and tell others about how they got filtered lol!"
Why are zoomers like this?
Yeah you're totally not butthurt you can't work out how to beat a boss in a videogame. Not at all.
btw exactly gameplay situations like this and tranime is how the ~~*japs*~~ rot your young undeveloped brains, you are genuinely just digital lab rats for your shogun masters, its sad to see
>enemy literally goes BWOOOOM and glows
>retards dont react
>play game
>fail at it due to lack of skill
>OMG THIS GAME IS SOOOOO BAAAAAAD!!!!!
Lmaoing at your life
How am i able to tell that you are a constantly offended, dorky and sheltered teen/young adult?
Because you're describing yourself and projecting this unto others, so you can always "tell" how it's everyone else that's like that and totally not you
Now go and read your previous post, stupid kid
I have, did it helped you come to a realization that just because you're bad at it, it isn't the game's fault?
I did. Did it help you come to a realization that just because you're bad at it, it's not the game's fault?
you were the first one getting mad, you have no place talking down to others LMAO
enemies don't even begin to play fast until NG+
The fastest boss until then is Nobunaga, stop staring at your ki bar
Was it the big water blob boss? I know bro, he's a real dick. But you can do it.
No, actually it was the tutorial boss at the tower, when the game still takes place in London. I genuinely have extremely low tolerance for bullshit, because i like my free time(Not a neet unfortunately), so the moment the boss received nonsencial bullshit mechanics is the moment i stopped playing this piece of trash game
>he actually died to the fucking tutorial boss
lmao, you're simply too brain damaged to play video games
Why are you zoomers like this? is it the microplastic shrunk dicks that make you obsess over meaningless shit and be hyperactive?
For me fromsoftware games is utter trash in almost every aspect
Ubisoft is unironically better developer, with better combat in their game For Honor, where i have way less hours played than most of the people there, and constantly smack and makes u zoomers rage in chat HAHAHAH
Multiplayer game is more important than a stupid singleplayer game a shitty parody of a SHITTY JAP PARODY of a legendary game from 2001,because in multiplayer u can make real people rage, but in singleplayer its designed as a ones and zeros cringe matrix puzzle
little zoomy you're literally too retarded to react to an AI, you are literally less than human, you would laso get destroyed in a proper fighting game (not ublisop designed for retards) so don't even front
Have you beaten serious sam first encounter on the hardest difficulty? No? Then shush boy
Fromsoftware games and their shitty parodies are genuine utter shit garbage for non-individuals who are ready to consoom.
Why? I will explain why, easily
In this games when u die, it NEVER feels like ur own fault, because the controls and just entire game in generla is shit, always feels like the death was forced by the game as a "lolz surprise!!" joker measure
In old first person shotters, on the hardest difficulties, and in pvp games, feels almost all the time like its your own mistake and you could have played better
Plain and simple
>Serious Sam
>hard
Why did you post nu-Sam ? Imbecile
does it matter? Sam gets easy the moment you learn spawn points and stuff
>pretending like a hardcore boomer shooter
>has never won a single tournament
>filtered by tutorial in a single player game
how embarrassing
Why are you behaving like this? Is it the microplastic or hormone imbalance?
>brings up PVP and boomer shooters because he's hardcore
>can't prove that he's hardcore
is it the fluoride or the asbestos?
I really need to prove something to an imbecilic young adult hyena over the internet. I dont. Hahahah. Just your taste in games is shit, like all other "dark souls similar games" fans. You are a shit eater, so please stop telling people stupid things. Its a cancer on gaming industry and seeps into other genres of games. Hopefully you manage to grow out of it and this fad dies
>and seeps into other genres of games
...80% of Nioh's gameplay is soulsshit
it's soulshit + diabloshit, but somehow, is better than both
Hello stupid boy. Thats what i was sayhing from beginning
Nioh (and all other shitty games similar to it) are shitty little parodies of shitty Jap fromsoftware games, which are awful caricature parody of a legendary western game from 2001 that actually plays well and respects a persons time
>80% of Nioh's gameplay is soulsshit
lol nope, it's Onimusha mixed with Dark Souls and Diablo loot
Because you can't.
Star wars boomer or God of war zillennial mad that he got filtered because his favorite franchise turned into Soulshit?
>Have you beaten serious sam first encounter on the hardest difficulty?
>Serious Sam
Lol. Since you're pretending you're some elder master at videogames I thought you'd go with something like Double Dragon 3. But no, Serious Sam. Embarrassing
>Why? I will explain why, easily
In this games when u die, it NEVER feels like ur own fault, because the controls and just entire game in generla is shit, always feels like the death was forced by the game as a "lolz surprise!!" joker measure
Lmao
Git gud
Anon, imagine there is a bush with berries/nuts whatever and a large pile of shit left by a moose or whatever animal, also with some berries & nuts that were undigested. Why is it that you and the other fromsoftware games players insist on digging through the pile of shit?
This is genuinely untruthful because i always score nice in pvp games. Just i refuse to play your shitty time wasting must learn!!! type games, because they are for imbeciles and are inherently anti-fun
>bro the game is bad, bro, bro please listen to me, i know what I'm talking about bro, i think serious sam is hard, bro it's not my fault i cant play it bro
>be bad at videogame
>blame videogame for being bad
bait
you type like a fucking retard, even ignoring the actual content, which is also retarded
>Have you beaten serious sam first encounter on the hardest difficulty?
Yeah and I was like 12 back then, Nioh is very fair difficulty wise, with exceptions being 2 dlc enemies and 1 dlc mission, Namahage in the first game and Itsumade in the second, Namahage is easy 1v1 but you will fight 2-4 of them at once which is a problem and in the second game you have the tools to trivialize them, Itsumade is huge, hit like a truck and have dozen or so skills so he will surprise you. Also I consider "two in the shadow" to be the hardest mission in video games, you fight 1v2 against two ninja that are both agile and spam their shit, you need to develop superhuman reflexes or you will be constantly poisoned/paralyzed.
>Noooooooo!
>Nioh is bad because I suck at it
>Ubislop is good because I can win against the mean zoomers there!
Lolz
>makes a thread to say that he got filtered by tutorial boss
>YOU FUCKING ZOOMERS
if i get filtered by a game, i just keep it to myself in embarrassment. but not the loud and fat americunts, they just have to blame everything else but themselves. How many tourneys have NA won in For Honor, since you brought that up?
>single father with 3 jobs and 10 mouths to feed
>why aren't games designed around 1 button
>I DON'T HAVE TIME TO LEARN 4 BUTTONS
kek unironically go back to assassins creed
this doesnt happen btw, just level up your hp and dont be retarded
I liked this game quite a bit.
Maybe you‘re not cut out for it.
NO!!! Every game has to be enjoyable for everyone, everything has to be the exact same, so everyone in the world can enjoy it
Another child filtered. Pick up a western game that plays itself for you instead.
This game is so fucking dull and repetitive holy shit
I liked it but its nowhere near as good as all the Nioh shills on this board say it is.
Also Nioh > Nioh 2.
Shitter shattered
play nioh 2 instead
Why didn't you buy number 2 with the waifu creator?
yeah nioh 2 is miles better
Nioh is a game for people who value gameplay first and want to get to grips with the combat system in order to beat all the bullshit gotcha situations. It's not a game for everyone and that's totally fine. Not every game needs to be for everyone.
>le fotm trash is not for everyone
>25k mostly positive reviews
Thats a whole lot of not everyone
>hear about the game exclusively from rollslop circlejerk community
>look up gameplay on youtube
>no interest in playing whatsoever
Are you surprised that these experiences are not reflected in the steam reviews?
>It's not a game for everyone and that's totally fine. Not every game needs to be for everyone.
>It's not a game for everyone.
ftfy. Why not just state your argument instead of taking this meaningless faux diplomatic position that adds nothing to the discussion?
Try playing games on your phone instead. That's the correct platform for you
You're supposed to use tonfas and stunlock everything.
it's fun though
The main problem I had with Nioh was that it had a really strict level cap that prevents the player from maxing out all their stats. I usually make myself max level with cheats to avoid grinding, and I found that the game was still difficult even after giving myself all the spirit points I could use.
I got 2 or 3 levels deep in this game, I think. At the end of the day, lootwhoring just isn't for me.
I also personally don't like the stance system that much, it just seems like an additional step to slot in more skills and kinda pointless past that
Restoring consumables at a checkpoint is genius though and every Souls game should do that
Better than just R1 and R2 everything.
And just jump attack everything now, after Elden Ring.
I don't think so, no. Because you still just R1 everything, I don't think there has ever been a situation where I changed my stance based on what the enemy was doing
well that might be an argument if you had played the game for more than 3 hours
Sure. You can feel free to be smug in your expert usage of stances to perfectly hit enemy weaknesses, but I've attempted to play the game a few times and also asked Ganker probably a dozen times what stances are even good for. What has come up is
>switching stance regenerates more ki
>high stance to hit horns
>switch stance to access other skills
I recommend Stranger of Paradise if you like Final Fantasy. It still has randomized loot but for the main game you can just click the "optimize equipment" button and be fine
>I've attempted to play the game a few times and also asked Ganker
That tracks, Ganker is shit at video games
You use different stances based on what you're fighting because of the speed:damage per hit ratio, the enemy's stance (you're not going to 1kat mid stance a fucking dweller), hitting locational weaknesses, and using different special attacks/combo finishers
If you play the game and go "what the fuck i can just high stance everything to death and never switch stances this is gay bullshit i have been lied to" you've got a terminal case of zoomer naggerbrain and have a one-track mind
>because of the speed:damage per hit ratio, the enemy's stance (you're not going to 1kat mid stance a fucking dweller), hitting locational weaknesses
All of these could simply be different attacks bound to different attack buttons. You don't need an entire stance system just to do a fast, low attack, that's just needlessly annoying
>using different special attacks/combo finishers
Yeah see this is what it truly comes down to. The stance system is there so you can do big combos with different special abilities, something that you could just as easily achieve by simply holding a button to access different special abilities
No need to get mad by the way, not everyone has to like what you like.
>No need to get mad by the way, not everyone has to like what you like.
Look at the OP again. You might not be him but you're dying on his hill.
I don't give a shit what some retarded homosexual thinks, I outlined my points perfectly well and made clear I'm not just calling the game shit because I'm anus anguished
>I outlined my points perfectly well
Anyone calling the game bullshit or unfair on the base difficulty is only perfectly outlining that they have worse motor skills than someone with regular muscle spasms
>Anyone calling the game bullshit or unfair on the base difficulty
I said no such thing. Not gonna discuss further with you if the extent of your argument is "OP said this and you also said you dislike this game, that must mean you agree exactly with OP"
It is a bit sad that the instant I push back against the idea of even needing a stance system, you start going full-shitpost
Retarded troon lol take your meds
t. just browsing by
Just admit you're a brainlet who can't press more than 2 buttons simultaneously, let alone put in button sequences.
what other buttons? The game already uses all of a gamepad's buttons plus many button combinations, at most you could add button combos. Also stance changing ties in with the ki pulse mechanic. This game is a hybrid between an action game and a soulslike, to me it sounds like you simply prefer pure action games but personally I like what they came up with, if nothing else it's pretty original
>pretending that he has played more than 3 hours
>needs other autists on the internet to guide him
doesn't realize difference within stances
>dash and roll
>attack speed and vertical vs horizontal attacks
>damage and breaking through guarding enemies
>Ki consumption, distance and iframes for dash/rolls
>Ki regeneration while blocking
>Ki damage when taking hit while blocking
>buffs when switching stances
get good, scrub
I played 20.3 hours, actually. And yes, I did obviously know about all those differences except ki regeneration when blocking being different
>attack speed and vertical vs horizontal attacks
>damage and breaking through guarding enemies
Can easily bind that to different attack buttons
>dash and roll
That's just a drawback to high stance which is why everyone uses medium stance as a default when on the defensive, or low if there's a lot of dodging
>Ki damage when taking hit while blocking
That should clearly be based on weapon class only
>buffs when switching stances
Yes that's the exact same thing as ki pulse. You don't give a shit about the actual stances, you only care that the switch gives you back some ki and buffs you so you can continue your combo. You don't care a whit about the actual stance you're in during the attack, you just want to access certain abilities
I'm not gonna design a full button scheme for a hypothetical system, but to start with I highly doubt we need two buttons dedicated to ranged combat
Just enter ranged mode with L3 or something and then use the regular attack buttons
You're not only autistic but also retarded.
And you've run out of arguments to defend a gameplay system that could just as easily be modelled by holding a button to access special abilities, like Dragon's Dogma
What arguments? All you're doing is admitting you're too much of a brainlet to make good use of the stances and combat mechanics because pressing buttons in a certain order in quick succession is "hard".
Your arguments are nonsensical though
>THE STANCE SYSTEM IS SUPERFLUOUS BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE, AND I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE I PLAYED THE GAME 4H ON THE LOWEST DIFFICULTY
>Can easily bind that to different attack buttons
as in light/heavy attack combos.. go back to assassins creed lmao
>That's just a drawback to high stance which is why everyone uses medium stance as a default when on the defensive, or low if there's a lot of dodging
rollsloppa doesn't know that high stance rolling has most iframes
>That should clearly be based on weapon class only
""i don't want to punished for playing in a stance that does more damage""
>Yes that's the exact same thing as ki pulse. You don't give a shit about the actual stances, you only care that the switch gives you back some ki and buffs you so you can continue your combo. You don't care a whit about the actual stance you're in during the attack, you just want to access certain abilities
he doesn't care about attack speed in an action game. Go back to turn based Soulshit and roll around until its your turn to attack LMAO
You really need to work on your reading comprehension, fren
>he doesn't care about attack speed in an action game
I do, you can easily dedicate 4 buttons to different types of attacks. Which is exactly what I have been saying
>""i don't want to punished for playing in a stance that does more damage""
No, I don't wanna play in any stance at all because it's a superfluous system. It only makes sense that the weapon class determines how much ki you lose on block
>rollsloppa doesn't know that high stance rolling has most iframes
Having iframes at all is kind of shit for an action game, but that's a different discussion. There have been plenty of games where you could choose between a dash and a roll, absolutely 0 reason to bind it to a stance
>as in light/heavy attack combos
Yes, as in different light and heavy attacks bound to 4 attack buttons, which is exactly the same as the stance system
I gotta get back to work, sorry
It's quite silly that you're all jerking off over how you mastered this epic stance system, and the literal only argument is "I wanna be buffed and get stamina back during my combo"
>game rewards you for learning its game mechanics that are not even difficult
>you're implying this is somehow a bad thing because you suck at videogames
Not everything has to be dumbed down and catered to retards such as you, anon.
Go back to assassins creed where you can chain infinite combos with one button without caring about stamina. Those are made for brainlets like (you)
>haha stupid asscreed where you can chain infinite combos cause no stamina
>start combo
>oh no my stamina is low
>press single button to regain stamina
>I am very smart and hardcore
>This game is bullshit and unfair
>lol git gud
>actually the game is piss easy, like ac
You can play vidya while being bad at it, just don't bitch about it
>haha you just wanna continue doing infinite combos, what a casual
>actually you can do the exact same thing in nioh, you're just pretending it's hard
>uuuuuh you said it's hard so that doesn't count
thanks for conceding
>Haha nioh and ac are the exact same game
Thanks for proving you're retarded
maybe if you wanna defend your favorite game, don't bring in an aspect of asscreed (infinite combos) that your tribe has been advocating for all thread
infinite combos is exactly why you like nioh, cause you can just use the free stamina regen button
it's okay, not everyone is cut out to play games where you need to manage your stamina 🙂
>thinks ki pulse gives infinite stamina
Post a screen with timestamp beyond the initial difficulty
>the system becomes relevant after 300 hours!
thanks for conceding
Ki Pulse doesn't give you infinite stamina, that's Ki Flux
it's both homosexual
pulse restores red bar and flux restores whatever the fuck was spent on initial action that started the red bar accumulation
if you fuck up the pulse and only do flux you restore amount of stamina the length of your dick and get wrecked
>it would take him 300 hours to beat the game once
Damn, I got a kid brother who did it in 50 or so
Are you retarded or arthritic?
Stamina management is a skill, yes
Yes to someone of less ability simple things may seem like a skill.
feel free to name a game with more complex combat system
You know DMC is the obvious answer. It's like comparing factory work to playing an instrument. While one has clear goal the other is only limited by the user.
Complex != good
You can customize your combat style in Nioh. Quick and efficient? No problem. Flashy and s-s-s-stylish? Also an option.
>action games
>roll until its your turn to attack = good
stick to JRPGs weebfag
Excuse me? Are you straw-manning me? You gas lighting slut. You bitch ass I beat Godhand (an actual action game) on Hard mode multiples of times with every combo combination you can think of. Never fucking speak to me again.
Difficulty and combos != good
yes i am. Stick to one stance and play it like a rollslop or get filtered. Your choice
>"rollslop"
>can do 4 attacks before you run out of stamina
>if you're caught when out of stamina, you get bonked
>nioh, a sophisticated game for hardcore gamers who think hardcore means unopposed combos
>can do 50 attacks before you're out of stamina
>if you get caught when out of stamina, you just press a button and regain it instantly
that sounds like a 350 Toughness build. ggood build diversity if someone can make that work without getting punished. Let's hear about the build diversity in rollslop
sorry, rollslop has no build diversity because you don't have a button to instantly regenerate all stamina 🙁 it can only be a good hardcore game if you don't ever have to think about stamina
You mean leveling up END to have enough stamina to do anything? I actually like Souls, but Nioh is way more responsive and KI pulsing/flexing makes it feel like a rhythm game. But Souls is clunky/passive on purpose, this is why so many prefer blood borne and I myself love AC6
>absolutely seething
holy kek
No need to get mad anon, it's not our nor the game's fault you're too dumb to git gud.
>Just enter ranged mode with L3 or something and then use the regular attack buttons
ranged takes only one button unless I'm forgetting something, but freeing up L2 isn't too bad of an idea actually since that would give us half a dozen additional moves. On the other hand that would be almost too complex, stances would become obsolete if you have that many moves at your disposal without switching
>On the other hand that would be almost too complex, stances would become obsolete if you have that many moves at your disposal without switching
Exactly my point
i'm just commenting on the fact that you're trying to make definitive statements about a game system you have almost no experience with, which makes you look stupid. you don't have to like the game
>I don't think there has ever been a situation where I changed my stance based on what the enemy was doing
Play beyond Way of the Samurai
The loot vomit turned me off as well. I much prefer the way it works in Souls games.
I had several instances where I didn't get any health consumables back because my inventory was full of garbage, seemed a bit silly
That isn't how it works, you didn't get any medicine back because you had no medicine in storage. You pick it up and the overflow goes into storage, and you trade in trash gear to the kodama for extras. You fucking hypochondriac, you.
That's cool, it's not for everyone. Nioh is for autists who want to customize every combo and button press for either efficiency or style, much like God Hand..
That's actually a great analogy, I feel like Nioh tried to do the "different ability you can set up per combo" thing and made it easier to access via stances. Which is exactly why I don't understand why you can't just directly access abilities via a button modifier
Also let's be honest, everyone in God Hand just spammed the same 2 or so combos anyway
Because the game already allocated every button modifier they could, putting three on changing your stance moveset gets you way more moves than just having those three buttons do one thing.
Loot doesn't matter until NG++.You got tricked by prejudices.
The stance system has radical attack changes. Just grab a kusarigama.
Yes, it should be the standard.
>You got tricked by prejudices
Nope absolutely not. The game itself puts a lot of emphasis on the lootwhoring, especially when you get the blacksmith and the game throws tutorials at you about transferring weapon effects and ascending weapons or whatever
Like I said, none of it matters until NG++
Nothing.
>b-but
I played the game, I know what Im talking about.
Aside from weapons enchanced with element types OR armor being light/medium/heavy, its all drip.
I wasn't calling you wrong, I simply resent the assertion that it was due to my prejudice. It was because of the game constantly telling me how important loot is
Well yeah, the game DOES make use of it eventually, and its expected people gets irrationally spooked before reading if any of it actually matters
Its bad design yes.
Maybe I'll try out Nioh 2 sometime and just ignore loot
>Skiping games
You could ignore loot entirely in both games aside from maybe doing a "gear check" every now and then to make sure you aren't underleveled. You can take the same gear you like and just melt down all the shit you pick up into direct upgrades for your current gear. Loot can be as involved or hands off as you want it to be, just depends on if you're autistic enough to work with gear sets, builds, etc... or just want to bonk the game by way of big numbers = big damage. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
>There's nothing complicated about Nioh.
I agree, I'll even go further and say there's nothing tedious about it either, like I said if you know what you're doing and how things work you can't really blame the game. It's when the word "souls" enters the fray that idiots start playing comparisons, as if Nioh ever set out to be souls game rather than drew inspiration from its "put up or shut up" nature. When the thread degrades to he said she said homosexualry the appeal of discussing the finer points of Niohs mechanics fall on deaf ears... all because Nioh is or isn't a "souls" game, fuck all that mess.
>I'll even go further and say there's nothing tedious about it either
I found the bosses tedious personally, they hit too hard for my taste. You get grabbed at full health and die immediately, I'd call that tedious. Granted the fights can be pretty quick, but they were never fun for me. I stopped playing the first game at some boss, I was considering reinstalling it but then I'd just be trying to beat that guy again
I haven't played the first game in a while but weren't most grabs still pretty well telegraphed? I know the second game gives you this fancy glowing red aura and sound effect to go with them potentially being countered, but in the first game I remember grabs being a death sentence because I refused to be anything other than a glass cannon with light armor but stupid high damage output due to stacking confusion on yokai.
Been like six month since I played it, can't really remember. I think I stopped at the boss where the baldie shows up to transform some guy into a monster, in some ninja forest. I remember even the normal yokai enemies would one-shot me in that level. Fun game otherwise but you take too much damage
Here's how you should play the game for the least amount of frustration in term of loot, first you'll never get good rolls on anything in NG or even NG+. The item that drops will be absolutely bland shit with +defense, +elemental resist or whatever.
Target a weight class, I suggest going heavy armor and staying under 70% weight. Once you're done with a mission, you do a quite skim of your weapons upgrades of the type you're using and use the one with the highest attack value.
For armours you can check them every 2-3 missions and get the highest defense value in the weight class that you want. Heavy armor only lets you tank maybe 3 hits while light armor has a chance of getting you killed in one.
For your stat spread and level up, you target your stamina requirement first to wear the armor, a little bit of health and the rest you spend in ninjutsu or magick to unlock spells. Dumping points into strength because your weapon scales with strength is absolutely pointless until super late in the game, because at BEST you'll do 20% more damage which is fucking insignificant when you can kill enemies in 2-3 hits anyway. Using a weapon enchant and finding out an enemy weakness will always be more important.
Also, block block block block. You get combo'd? Hold block. You're on the defensive and don't know what to do? Low stance, hold block and dodge around while holding block.
NTA but don't forget to dismantle EVERYTHING you don't plan on using, selling it can make you a quick buck but if you're disassembling all your trash loot you'll have mountains of crafting materials you can just sell and still make good dosh, while also still being able to reroll/ craft better versions of your current gear.
Learn the crafting menu shortcuts too, you can lock certain items from being disassembled or sold, and highlight only specific tiers of things and disassemble them all at once rather than trying to sort through them all one at a time.
If you're a lootfag who needs to check every piece of gear this game is going to drive you insane, instead focus on a set you like and stick to reforging/ recrafting that endlessly.
Man it's been YEARS since i've played the first game so its not ringing any bells, did you take advantage of elemental debuffs and all the other crazy combat mechanics? If you can apply two elemental debuffs to yokai they turn into fucking tissue paper, pretty sure it applies to bosses too but I might be wrong.
>elemental debuffs and all the other crazy combat mechanics
Man I'm just trying not to get hit. That stuff was unclear to me anyway
>drink some wine that says it nullifies elemental damage
>still take elemental damage
>okay
Thanks anons, I appreciate it
Team Ninja don't miss
she deserved a better husband
They don't
cute couple
how's this game on pc?
The Lulu clone was especially sexo
Fuku owns me sex
>Mitsuhide tapped this for decades
humans with hunter eyes should only reproduce with other humans of hunter eyes
see that angle? That's the killer angle.
>filtered
it's nioh, we use the term conquered
One of my favorite games of the last generation. Shame you're a whinny bitch.
Nioh is one of those series where I'd recommend people just straight up skip 1 and just play 2 instead. Nioh 1 is extremely mediocre.
Extremely mediocre take. Filtered secondary.
Really depends on whether you're a storyfag or not.
Story wise 1 is better and Wirriam is a good protagonist.
Nioh 2 is just a straight up upgrade in terms of mechanics but weaker in the story department.
Nta, but I found 1 less bloated
Nioh 2 is too long for how many missions it has, and I found the new elements like the cores to be interruptive of the gameplay I like, which is swinging weapons at enemies
Also, the level design in 1 was better, because it had incredibly frustrating levels like the water temple, but it was mostly kept there, while 2 had frustrating parts in almost every level
I also thought 1 had better bosses
After playing the 2 up to DOTN on ps4 with spear and hatchets I've started it again on PC. This time I'm going with tonfa and they are insane, but with the fast animations and all the ki pulse follow ups etc. sometimes I can barely understand what attack I'm doing, especially when I'm basically compenetrating some big yokai
Why do you buy games from a genre that you hate?
nta, I love Nioh but hate soulshit and soulshit derivatives such as the surge, lies of p, lords of the fallen, and so on
To me they do not play at all similarly
Same. I actively avoid games with Souls mechanics, specifically corpse running, but I wouldn't consider Nioh a Soulslike. It's more like a Ninja Gaiden game with way less forgiving gameplay. But I still always feel like fatal mistakes I make are my own fault, not because I got locked into a clunky attack animation that dropped me from a cliff.
skill issue
Nioh is one of these games where you either git gut and feel like a living god that can see the future or you suck and 3 skely boys is a wall you will struggle with.
The combat was kinda interesting but the mission-based design, Diablo-like loot, and shit enemy variety soiled it for me.
I wish more of these games were mission-based actually.
If it was just a linear sequence of maps that'd be one thing, but I don't want to play a bunch of filler missions where you go through the same levels.
>blade of darkness parodies
You’re utterly delusional if you think there’s any game in existence that’s ripping out some shit literally nobody ever gave a single fuck about
>randomly generated sword that gives you +0.5% ability damage
why do devs do this shit? what's wrong with just placing predetermined loot?
It's just sandbox Ninja Gaiden with leveling. Are you expecting fromsoft clunky garbage or what?
>You’re utterly delusional if you think there’s any game in existence that’s ripping out some shit literally nobody ever gave a single fuck about
Did anybody of you play Wo Long? Is it any good compared to Nioh 2?
No, it sucks.
I think you're a retard and your opinion is poorly informed, yet you still managed to arrive at the right conclusion for Nioh.
A broken clock is right twice a day, I suppose.
even worse, I did
>git gud
at the whole
>surprise surprise got you!!!
crap.the game simply became predictable and boring. this so-called genre was never good and NPCs fell for the ~~*journalist*~~ psyop back in 2009
That's because you made the typical beginner mistake. You tried to use weapons besides the Odachi and the Fists.
Odachi....my father, my son. There will be no survivors.
for me it's the 3kat. sometimes spear also.
>fists
based
>odachi
gay
odachi for the big guys, fists for the fast guys. it's the perfect combination
Split staff is fun as fuck.
As is switchglaive.
Dual Swords are a fun meme.
>odachi
>fists
kek you absolute pleb, i wield the true dragon sword.
"soulsperm got filtered by a real game" thread №2625526252
the only scam is wo long
if they put a shield in Nioh 3 you'll love it
I actually would like som ekinda defensive weapon to make a heavy armor slow tank build just for fun
shields are worthless in souls since bloodborne/3 as fromsoft is still too angry about them being too good in first two games
though maybe nioh could pull off a shield weapon, unlikely though seeing how low the quality dipped in their latest game
>though maybe nioh could pull off a shield weapon
fists already exist
Why use a shield when blocking is so good?
because blocking doesn't let you to bash homosexuals in the face with flat metallic objects
Did you just make a random OP post then throw a random game attached to it? Your post makes no sense.
You sound like a homosexual, so you likely deserve to suffer anyway.
The game is good, but
>its full of "Surprise surprise got you!!!" bullshit
this is 100% true
The game has some truly obnoxiously garbage level design, and fortunately Nioh 2 improved a bit in that regard.
I've beat both and I can't think of any situations like that, "lol ur fucked"
>put enemy detector on head or in talisman slot
>apply minimal logic as most ambush spots are extremely obvious
I didn't mind the actual levels, but the bosses were really gay. I think I was fairly near the end but I ended up dropping it eventually. Or well I kinda just didn't start it the next day or the day after and then eventually I uninstalled it. Don't know why they loved one hit kills so much
Should have just bought 2.
Discord schizo thread.
>blade of darkness parodies
Trying way too hard
Japs never came up with anything of their own and historically always ripped off western world or china, down to tranime, which they take from actual soulful cartoons and twist them into vile shit to rot your minds. Same with games. Closest games i can think of that japs have ripped off to make their souls games is Blade of Darkness, Medievil, Deathtrap dungeon, Nightmare Creatures (actually NC 100%,and they returned to it twice to make shitborne as well) all of these are western games, also possibly rune and die by the sword but the latter is too far fetched because its computer mouse directed combat after all
Why can't ARPG loot goblins never get over their "my game is so deep" superior complexity? Path of Exile is so deep too but in reality it plays like something your mom could play.
Why rollshitters can't stop crying when people use knowledge and skill to break the game as intended? Go back to DaS3, your autistic dueltard rules don't exist anywhere outside your schizo tranny head
autism Nioh builds are entirely irrelevant until the post game infinity dungeons, in which case it's necessary to break the game in order to survive. But for the normal game, gear autism doesn't really matter
let's see your hardcore ssf Ubers
git Gud Black folk
That is 10 second read. Never passed the elementary?..
Worthless read. Git gud shitter.
I got attacked by a kappa, it stole something from me
>NiOh features a white samurai in Japan
Based!
>new Assassin's Creed features a black samurai in Japan
Cringe!
Why do people have these useless opinions?
try harder polfag
but there is historical evidence of 1 (one) white samurai, and 1 (one) black samurai.
you're foaming at the mouth, polfag. Yasuke is in nioh as well
huuuurghggggh *chokes on saliva* uuuuurgh
there have been 4 white ones, william adams is just the most famous, he and a dutch guy (Jan Joosten) he sailed with both became samurai
at other points in time there has also been a prussian samurai and a sicilian samurai
there have been four korean samurai and one chinese samurai
what people dont often realise is samurai was a social rank, running around with a katana did not make you a samurai, a samurai was a memeber of the nobility and it was a title that was given, very similar to a european knight
there is a debate in japan as to whether yaksuke counts as a samurai as there is no evidence of him being given land or servents or being granted the title samurai
Yaksuke likely did exist (although some in japan claim he didnt) and was part of Oda Nobunaga's army but it is not really known if he was a samurai
Not even joking it gets better after 200 hours.
Post Hiddy
Im replaying wo long after the dlc drops and shes honestly one of the prettiest girls in videogames ever made
completely underrated
sometimes I can see that Asian girls are physically attractive, but they do nothing for my penis, and that's what matters
i absolutely don't believe chinks can look like this
Anything is possible with Dr Kim.
Just open up Instagram, and if your recommendation algorithm is set right, you will see 1000s of girls that look like this.
>try to make herself look better
>instead create proportions of a dude in drags
Photoshop was a mistake.
>Instagram
whoaaa ten layers of photoshop and makeup like any other whore there regardless of race
also the pic you posted looks way more like the snake stars obsessed bitch from the same game (lady zhou or whatever), an actually convincing chink from nobility line, hong jing looks more like 40% chink at most
why do you think they're mass raping the uygs?
I watch a lot of dudes vlogging in china and it's really not uncommon to see really cute girls in the street when they're walking around. As to how much is makeup, well it doesn't really matter now does it?
They can. Although you can only find them north of China. SK are the worst offenders of fakes, there are hardly any natural beauties there.
>exists solely for (you), made her Diaochan but Lu Bu is her brother, with his dying breath asks you to look after her
>in the ending you two fuck off back to your taoist village so you could engage in dual cultivation for several hundred years
>dual cultivation
I love this fucking meme. Biggest taboo in chink cultivation novel is passing chakra through your partners body and back to you.
>make a woman because women fighters are cool
>meet hong jing
>change to a man because i want to self insert and headcanon my way into her pussy/impregnation
>t. Conquered
>t. Didn't even made it to Umi bozu
Just watch a playthrough on youtube and push buttons on a fidget toy, that'll probably be more up your alley.
Shh you hear that?
Sounds like someone’s been FILTERED
I don't really get what the point of one-shot kills is, it just makes it less fun
Nioh threads can be gauged by how soon the mention of "souls" is uttered in the thread. If OP is shitting the bed over getting bitchslapped in game it ALWAYS devolves into a getgud shitfling.
Learning to play Nioh is like learning to drive stick, proficiency is gained through knowledge of the system and practice.
OP and his ilk are the women who refuse to learn, and as such need special treatment and catering to... because it's never their fault they suck ass, it's always the systems fault for being to complicated.
I spit on you and homosexuals like you OP, worthless waste of breath that you are.
There's nothing complicated about Nioh, I don't understand where this sentiment comes from. And usually it's Nioh fags who start talking about Souls games, while insisting that Nioh isn't a Souls game
I beat the boss who turns out to be your clone or something in Nioh 2. I like the game so far but the sub-missions suck
Honestly my biggest fucking problem with this series are the hidden skills and texts that bosses drop. Killing a boss 200 times is fucking dumb.
You are the reason Japan dumbs its games down for the West.
Get good or play something else, clearly Nioh is out of your league.
>Feel like i wasted my money
lol I got it for free on Epic a long time ago
Still haven't touched it.
If you're a slut for the sengoku era like most weebs are this game really sucks it off with all the character bios and flashy bossfights. I really like reading the yokai bios because occult feudal japan just hits different.
Bruv, if you're gonna ignore a lot of the meat of the combat I hope you were wearing the heaviest armor and blocking attacks rather than dodging. You can be a pretty hefty tank and block through most combos, and if you're good at hitting your ki pulses while in mid stance you get a free block for the next second or so.. pretty sure that applies to both games as I did it all the time to save my ass in the second game lmao. But yeah you're better off blocking and wearing heavy armor if you don't want to utilize a lot of the games mechanics.
Pro tip for yokai is just fucking throw salt at them, fucking destroys their stamina.
I didn't want to fancy stuff against bosses that kill me in one hit
Do what now? Anon are you having a stroke? I'm not gonna tell you how to play the game but I'll just say if you're not willing to go in depth with all the game has to offer you're basically sitting in a ferrari and only doing 40 on purpose, you're limiting yourself and your potential to fucking stomp the shit out of everything in the game, bosses included.
>tfw you finally learned how to backwave human enemies and could literally just parry them into the ground until they burst into treats.
To this day I've never had a more satisfying "chefs kiss" moment than playing the marobashi mission at the highest difficulty and only ever parrying the 5 or so bosses to beat it. Exquisite.
Well I'm not sure how much more in depth I should have gone, the stuff I was doing up to that point got me that far. I mentioned earlier that my biggest issue was how hard you get hit, which I've seen other people bring up a fair bit as well. The general advice seems to be to put on heavy armor because the other armor doesn't even do anything, which seems a bit poorly thought out
The normal enemies weren't really an issue apart from some of the bigger yokais, but you could just run past them anyway since you get nothing from killing them either way. But yeah generally I had fun with the levels but then the bosses not so much, and then with that particular boss I lost interest. I suppose I was just bad
I think this is the guy I stopped at, seems like there were still eleven main missions after this
It's not that light armor doesn't do anything so much as it's a tradeoff between survivability (stand your ground and block) and mobility (dodging in light armor uses little stamina and travels the furthest)
If anything it's the perfect way from everyone to get what they want, strfags and dexfags alike all have viable options if they know the playstyle well.
Oh man you were right near the end too! Yeah his yokai form can be a bit of a handful, but if you ever pick it up again just be patient with it and use your elite gamer knowledge to exploit his weaknesses and tickle his prostate with your weapon(s) of choice. Not only can you beat him, you can compley dominate him if you apply yourself.
I tried beating him the first evening I got there, then I tried beating him the next day and then I just didn't play it again. Honestly bosses in games like these just feel like annoying roadblocks to me
Like I said before anon I'm not gonna tell you how to play the game, just know that there are myriad options for you to try. Each element applies a different kind of debuff, ninjutsu and onmyo magic, ki pulses and the different advantages doing them correctly has for each of the stances, how each stance has its strengths and weaknesses... the list goes on.
The fact remains though that you can do it, you just need to put in more effort to do it and don't want to because of your perceptions. Personally for me the boss fights are why I love the series, and the fact that I get to stomp multiple bosses AT THE SAME TIME in later difficulties to demonstrate my mastery of the games mechanics only sweetens the deal.
>put on heavy armor
Here's the deal. Survivability is heavily tied to your Toughness value, which decides how much Ki you lose when getting hit or blocking. The reason the game is full of oneshots early on, especially when playing Light is because if an attack depletes your Ki you get stunned and while stunned you eat bonus damage and die.
This means your Ki and the amount of Ki damage you take is the main factor deciding whether or not you live, not your HP or even your armour values. This is compounded by the hitstun mechanic where lots of chain attacks will not allow you to dodge out of them, forcing you to block because block still works while you're in hitstun. Since you lose Ki for blocking there are lots of chain attacks which will kill you like this:
>Get hit (Lose Ki)
>Forced to block followup because you can't dodge out (Lose Ki on block)
>Get Ki broken and stunned
>Eat bonus damage while stunned and die
This is functionally a oneshot
The amount of Ki damage you're taking does not scale with level or health or mission difficulty or anything along those lines, it only scales with Toughness and at the start of the game the only way to get sufficient Toughness to not get fucking merked is to NOT be Light weight.
The other guy talking about it being a 'playstyle choice' is taking the michael. It's not a playstyle choice early in the game, light weight is just bad.
Later on when you have the opportunity to roll higher values of Toughness on all your gear and have higher weight limit you are able to break 200 Toughness while still being Light weight and only at this point does it become a viable alternative. If you have less than 200 Toughness in Nioh (Or less than 100 early) then you are playing on Hard. This and the fact that you have to block your way out of combos that will not allow you to dodge in time is very poorly explained by the game and is the source of most new player frustration. Nioh is not a hard game.
>they added Mezuki to Wo Long
>he's apparently filtering people
heh
3 kingdom fags, who is this woman? She is going to be in the last wo long DLC.
>you will never live forever with your chink waifu
Best weapon in Nioh 1?
They all seem like they miss so much shit coming from Nioh 2
2kat seems least shit to me
1kat is honestly OP, especially against humans
But the Odachi is essentially 1kat but better, so use that if you're so inclined
>buying 1 instead of 2
yeah you got scammed, should've picked the better game
>should've picked the better game
Yeah, he bought 1
weak filtered little bitch, and the game was probably on sale so no more than $10
Imagine being so bad at the game you blame the game for your shitty mechanical skills. The game is fuckin fun when you start to get a hang of the combat and start doing stylish runs.
