It's got a charm for sure. I loved 2 as well

Yeah I'll get to 2 eventually. Two worlds truly is jank kino.
The voice acting is worse than Oblivion but it's got a charm to it. It's also really funny hearing the villain have the only good VA. It's like he's stuck with a bunch of tards and that's why he went evil. That's my headcanon anyway.

It's like Gothic but in a state similar to day-1 Cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk never let me go outside the map on my horsie. Also somehow this game has such satisfying thieving. I steal fricking everything

This is another game eternally stuck on my backlog.
    I still have it installed.

I imagine it would be like Oblivion but stupid and memey.

i got it as a kid in like a games newspaper or something and i was scared of this game, it seemed so open, plus i got attacked by wolves close to the exit from the first area

You can go wherever right from the start but you'll get shit on by stronger enemies. It's actually got better level scaling than Oblivion lmao

Both were quality eurojank then they released, but the first one aged poorly due to animations being locked at 30fps. 2 had one of the best magic systems to date and neither game cared about their shit being balanced which made them especially fun when you found one of the many ways to break the game by being op as shit

The animations are very janky but after a while you get used to it. I love how you can upgrade items infinitely. Means you can use whatever for potentially the whole game. Genuinely a very satisfying mechanic.

All I wanted to say is that when the game itself runs at high FPS and the animations are locked to 30 it looks fricking jarring

I can't enjoy games when I break them and become overpowered. The last time that was fun was over 20 years ago playing Vice City with cheats, ever since that 20 minutes of fun it has always been boring. If there is no resistance to be encountered that can beat my ass then there is no reason to continue playing.

    Is 2 still receiving DLC?
Because I remember the devs legit still releasing DLC for it 5 years ago

God I hope it happens. We need TW3 now more than ever.

How would you even play these games today? Does original XBox even have an hdmi port? My TV doesn't even have rgb ports.

Anon, the game is for the 360, as it's shown in the screenshot. However the 360 did launch without a HDMI port for whatever fricking reason I'll give you that.

I don't think so, but seeing them randomly release shit for 2 was wild, so was the monetization. Them deciding to milk the few fans they had is just sad.

You know what an adapter is, right?

        Also it's on PC.

        >You know what an adapter is, right?

Well, a RBG to HDMI adapter lets you plug in RBG cables on one side and a HDMI on the other side converting RBG to HDMI Pretty useful thing to have around.

It's the best kind of RPG. Jank as frick, but in the ways that lets you break the game. Also some of the worst horseriding physics I've ever seen.

How was the sequel anyways? Pretty sure I had a copy of it on PS3 from PS+ many fricking years ago.

      Anonymous

RPGs that let you break them if you wish are great, I agree. Frick balance in a singleplayer game.
The sequel was good too, though I haven't played as much of it. Some of the best magic crafting in a video game.

The sequel sucks in all the same ways that the first game rules. It has bad everything but it's not funny bad or charming bad. It's just shitty, generic bad.

    >Oblivion was my favourite game at the time and is still up there honestly
    >get this as it's the "Oblivion Killer" back when buying a game meant I'd have to wait months before getting a new game as we were broke as hell

    >realising it's a steamy piece of shit

Oblivion is pure kino and so is TW. I love them both.

TW is barely functional, and calling it the oblivion killer gave me a hype it had no chance of fulfilling.
It's now one of those pieces of media just burned into my soul out of absolute hateful PTSD

          Anonymous

Fair enough I suppose. I stumbled upon the game by accident years later so I have no such hatred towards it. I judge it merely as the product that it is. Inferior to oblivion in many ways but still a fun time

            Anonymous

It's fun if you want jank barely held together with tape and seeing how you can ruin it even further, which is definitely appealing in its own way, but for me it was like being told you get a new toy only once a month at most, then getting handed a dried dog turd.
I do remember it having cosy wilderness though but I barely remember much else as it was so long ago and all I've seen since is the memey speedrun.

              Anonymous

I get that. Coming straight from Oblivion into a janky soup like TW must've been real fricking jarring. They probably said they'd kill oblivion knowing it was bullshit purely to get notoriety. Otherwise nobody would've bought it.

I like this game, too. The terrible voice acting is hilarious and the crappy combat is fun and easy to break.

The game is like a so bad it's good movie with the voice acting.

                >They probably said they'd kill oblivion knowing it was bullshit purely to get notoriety
Definitely, it's like when we had that era of "Halo Killer" games too and they always turned out to be dogshit like Advent Rising.

                Anonymous

I played advent rising when I was 14 and loved it. The powers were fun. Maybe it was bad but I'd need to go back and play it myself.

                >The game is like a so bad it's good movie with the voice acting.
Yeah, this. I remember reading a steam review that called it the movie "The Room" if it was an open world RPG instead. That's a perfect description of this game and the same type of people that laugh at that movie would also enjoy this game.

It really is. You could sit someone down who doesn't even play vidya and they'd get a kick out of watching you interact with these dumb NPCs

Hate how much I loved this game, it was from that era where games like sacred had massive and varied open worlds.
The combat is awful but finding ways to get strong and constantly merging duplicate items and gems had a certain charm to it.
I kind of want to replay just thinking about running archery with scattershot again.

Is Two in a better state these days? It's an "improved" sequel but I remember it somehow being less interesting than the literal copy paste of the original.
