The game goes to shit now with the only good part being Duke's Archives
You might as well just uninstall now
When I was playing for the first time blind, I was so immersed in the game that I didn't even notice how shit the later areas were. Maybe it was due to the fact that it was one of the first games for me after I took a break from gaming for several years and coming back to it with DaS was fricking mind blowing. It basically revived my faith in vidya. >the only good part being Duke's Archives
New Londo is pretty cool, if we consider it post-Anal Rodeo area, which it should be.
>0 flasks
It was my first time beating them and I fricking up several rolls. Plus there were situations where Ornstein knocked me over then Smough hit me with his hammer and I have to double flask >meme blade
What's wrong with Uchi? >Pyromancy
Honestly I missed 3/4 of my shots; I used them on Super Smough and after all 14 of my fire orbs/balls he had only lost 1/4 of his HP >Spam shield
Don't act like it isn't used by everyone
Nothing wrong with using estus, uchi or pyro, but...
>Don't act like it isn't used by everyone
I don't even know what shield that is. I always use Tower/Caduceus Kite Shield, because they're light. But The Boys hit too hard and frequent to block with those shields, so I don't. Every time I tried, I was out of stamina and dead very soon.
Ah, forgot what it looked like. Never really used it much for one reason or another.
And it's too late for me to "make it". Already beat the game a lot of times, including SL1, no shield run, bow only run etc.
I mean after ds1
Having to earn or pay for the ability to fast travel is how it should be. Around that time, most other games started making it a free action. Even in shit like Ass Creed you had to pay monies.
>Ubiquitous
You don't get it until half way through the game and even then you can't fast travel to every bonfire
Here's what was lost from the transition to Dark Souls from Demon's Souls
>Vast and more intricate levels with great sense of scale and design were replaced by half assed lame and small "interconnected" levels constantly using tubular design and danger from falling/limiting player movement >The world feels artificial because Lordran is ridiculously small, constrained into its open world design. Boletaria feels like an actual kingdom. >Homeward bones break the gameplay by allowing an easy and cheap get-out-of-jail move >Moving npcs and NPCs reacting to enemies. Much better questlines that change with world tendency. >World tendency, a surprisingly fresh mechanic that allows for great replayability and unpredictability and could have been fleshed out, was lost for the Covenant system that just served to split the playerbase and was never properly implemented in three games. >Grim atmosphere that is way more distinct than generic JRPG adventure through biomes like Dark Souls 1 and 2 that alternates completely different looking areas you can traverse seamlessly for the sake of diversity, creating a "fake" open world >Enemies that have CLEAR weaknesses that impair and/or stagger them >Hyperarmor poise disincentivizing passive play and turtling >Non OP medium shields disincentivizing passive play and turtling, meaning greatshields are useful >Boletaria is the best castle area in the entire series. From the outer gates, the inner bridge leading to the city inside with its streets and alleyways, and then the final ascent to the throne room.
Even the lowest point of Demon's Souls(Stonefang) stands head and shoulders above anything from the Lord Soul areas
I found the best thing to do was to stay close. I could never successfully separate O from S because O walk just walk towards me slowly while S would run
best thing i did to beat them was remove the camera lock on. always kept both of them in my sight. the fight is very difficult if one of them isnt in your sight

Nice job. I wish I could play it again for the first time. Being enjoyed all the FROM games but DaS1 is the best.

No
Try holding with two hands
Is there a way that you're 'supposed' to beat these guys? I've heard to use the pillars but I don't understand how
I thought the standard way was to walk towards the screen and use rare occasions to relatively safely strike.

What's the best armor to play a tank with? I'm sick of getting staggered with every hit
look up the giant dad build. never worry about staggering again
Havel is the heaviest you can get, Largefather is a PvP build, not a PvE one
What's wrong with giant dad in pve?
Nothing,it'sjust not the best for it. You don't need autism weight limit minmaxing, you can just level stuff up more and go heavier
Congrats bro. It's a great feeling isn't it? Enjoy the amazing chest ahead.

I got to 4 kings and got bored and dropped it
Just started Duke's Archives
The Crystal guys take like 7 shots to kill and the channeler one shot me with his melee
wtf
Crystal guys can be abused with backstabs
congrats now uninstall the game because the rest sucks
So I killed the golem that's supposed to give the DLC pendant and it didn't drop anything
you gotta talk to the prostitute in the swamp
First?
I knew you could did it!
Welcome to 20 years ago
God fricking dammit I was two hits away from killing Seathe and my sword breaks and now I'm cured with no souls
