Wrong. I remember it clearly being comfy in 2011, I remember my first character travelling to winterhold on foot having ignored every quest direction and still at level 1, because the innkeeper had told me there was a college there.
Holy kino memories, thanks todd.
Oblivion is the most boring dull and unfun setting/gameplay i ever seen
Morrowind had interesting setting but the gameplay was even worse than Oblivion
Skyrim is the only good TES game simply because the gameplay is decent and the setting/visuals are actually nice
No
It's because it's a space rpg, the theme is inherently shit.
Skyrim is immediately appealing to the eyes and the atmosphere is pleasant, because it's a high fantasy rpg.
It's that simple no need to look further
>start game as white >pass the obligatory section that makes the re-edit character option prompt shows up >become black >parents are still the pre-generated white npcs
Beautiful.
It had good potential but it got wasted with this broken construction thing and the very high density of "places" (let alone the shit story and optimisation).
Skyrim is a game that requires an imaginative and adventurous spirit to make the most of it. Any mongoloid that calls it shit or says you need to mod it til it breaks is a graphicfag single iq ignoramus only concerned about base-level visual stimulus
>implying mods are only visual
Not everybody wants to spend fucking 5 hours getting mods to work then having 1 patch fucking break them all you fucking nerd
THIS is the cope that Skyrim shitters are resorting to now? They have no arguments on thrle quality of the game objectively so they make up shite like this
Just close your eyes and imagine an adventure, retard. The game doesnt get points just because I'm autistic enough to invent something out of nothing. This is the loser single player version of "its fun with friends".
Skyrim is a game that requires an imaginative and adventurous spirit to make the most of it. Any mongoloid that calls it shit or says you need to mod it til it breaks is a graphicfag single iq ignoramus only concerned about base-level visual stimulus
So when did you come to Ganker? After 2016? Cos you're certainly retarded gays. No one who was on Ganker before 2016 liked Skyrim.
imo it was contrarianism for the sake of online clout
all TES games were liked and still are actively discussed
if you ask a normie nowadays he'll say nuh-uh skyrim is still good
a better example would be bioshock infinite and if you say it's shit any normie will agree that in retrospect it was mediocre and forgettable
The non-contrarian opinion is that all of the modern TES titles are great games that, although packed with flaws, offer an as yet unmatched experience in vidya.
Skyrim is a game that requires an imaginative and adventurous spirit to make the most of it. Any mongoloid that calls it shit or says you need to mod it til it breaks is a graphicfag single iq ignoramus only concerned about base-level visual stimulus
Le contrarian poster has arrived, morrowind and oblivion aged like milk
Every mainline TES game was comfy if you played it at the right time in your life, and shit if you played it too late, with the possible exception of Daggerfall since it expanded on Arena so much.
[...]
So when did you come to Ganker? After 2016? Cos you're certainly retarded gays. No one who was on Ganker before 2016 liked Skyrim.
I like it on release, even though the level scaling is retarded, enemies are damage sponges, and magic is boring without mods. If you were around for the Oblivion release you'd remember Ganker being contrarian gays about that too, and then slowly changing stance over time.
>Bethesda haven't made a good game since Terminator Future Shock*
Fixed. Elder Shart has never been good, you gays will just cling to the first one you played and pretend it's shit doesn't stink. It has never been and never will be a good RPG series.
Nope, it's a 7/10 RPG that retarded zoomers like you suck off because you're too fucking brain-dead to play a good RPG like Arcanum or the original Fallouts.
Original fallouts are GOYSLOP that don't even stack up to Skyrim let alone the better TES RPGs

That implies Skyrim is good with mods. My game is modded to hell and back, literally only log on to fap now, but even then the last time I did was months ago. Spent so much time looking for mods and shit and now it's just a waste of space again. Shit breaks constantly, gameplay is still absolute dogshit. Only reason I haven't uninstalled is due to how hard it was finding all the jp/korean mods, otherwise I probably would have uninstalled by now.
Every planet will have one Gimmick like forest planet, ice planet, desert planet, jungle planet, etc.
There will be no actually realistic planets like earth.
that's what i'm expecting >ah this is the planet with the red trees and the lake, let's get the spacefish and the red tree fruit and jet off to the next rocky place
Medieval games (or any games that focus on a single planet) are superiour, because they only focus on one planet, but make that planet diverse and believable just like Earth in real life.
There are different biomes and climate zones on the planet. There are also different cultures on the same planet.
I doubt we will see many different cultures in Starfield (WOKE propaganda and diversity don't count. I mean real cultures like the Stormcloaks and Imperials from Skyrim)
>wooden spaceships never ever
I wish sci-fi games stopped being all metal and plastic. gimme wooden space buckets tied together with rope strapped with a jet engine
>Parts of the orbiting module for the first moon landing was made of fucking wood.
I don't think that's true. There's two problems. First is wood is an organic material so it doesn't do well in a vacuum. Second, it's flammable. I imagine they'd use almost anything else before they used wood.
While I don't care much about the whole idea of having wooden space ships, I do like the music in that game and wouldn't mind seeing sci fi games do different kind of tracks. Shit like Travellers is peak comfy.
Inon Zur did Dragon Age Origins and 2's soundtracks, not Inquisition. Beyond that the main things I know he did was compose for Fallout 3, NV and 4 and the main theme for Pathfinder Kingmaker (also apparently involved with Dragons Dogma's?). He's a decent composer, he's just competing with Jeremy Soule, but Soule has seemingly went completely off the grid between getting metoo'd and some shit about his company and guild wars 2's ost so I don't think he's coming back anytime soon, even if Todd wants him.
to be fair i never had to mod the music so i cant hate him but yeah pretty much everyone at bethesda is just an ideas guy. its like they all formed a company together.

Every fucking time. Learn to spot patterns, Bethesda cucks. Get a fucking grip.
Dw anon, Todd here, the bleak lifeless rocks are meant to look like dog shit so that when you get to the designated peaceful green area it hits harder.
WHAT DOES THE ANIMATION , THE ANIMATED PART OF THE CLIP, WHICH ANIMATES, HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ANIMATION?
See if I thought like you I wouldn't have a degree in Digital 3d design and also be a clay shooting coach, then I wouldn't be qualified to come on a nacho cheese taco sizing forum to shout at more qualified people about things I don't know about
You might want to get a refund on that degree since you were complaining about the models and not the animation, which even a layman like me can differentiate.
>Ganker acting like most of space isn’t a complete desolate rocky and empty place.
If you want realism play Space Engine. Then complain how empty space is. Space isn’t like no man’s sky where every planet has an atmosphere, wild plant life and creatures.
Isn't he Russian? Maybe those bastard Ukrainians killed him? Also, does anyone know if they killed SKstalker? He's a Russian. Haven't seen anything from him in a while.
I guess space games aren't comfy at all to people who are afraid of space or can't comprehend how vast everything is in space and time. Or people who hate the scientific/atheist view of the universe where we must come to term with of insignificant we are as individuals and as a species, especially when we know that nothing will last forever be it Earth, our sun or our entire universe.
I don't really like scifi/fantasy shit where every planet is either a big luscious jungle, a big high-tech city, some desert with two suns full of middle-east inspiration, etc.
But the thought of exploring some weird ruins of a past civilisation on a dead world near a slowly dying star while being light-years aways from anything inhabited apart from maybe one or two city-wide spaceships is really comfy to me.
>black emptiness and rocky planets is comfy because I can contemplate how insignificant I am while playing it because i'll be so bored
yeah sounds comfy bro
>yeah sounds comfy bro
I don't know, I find there is beauty in the fact that it exists and people in that kind of universe would be the first to witness a lot of those places.
You can be on a dead world and enjoy hearing the ghostly wind around you and seeing the faint light coming from an old star barely piercing the clouds and then something moving in the distance caught your attention and you go investigate. It doesn't have to be hostile.
The issue is more that a lot of Scifi is about violent aliens and the various horrors of living in inhospitable places with radiation, lack of oxygen, pressure, AI and high-tech created problems, etc. And when something is comfy or feel good, there's always something sinister behind it like mind control, virtual worlds and whatnot. I'm sure we can do comfy scifi if we wanted to.
I think going around in a space ship with some radio music playing could be comfy.
>I think going around in a space ship with some radio music playing could be comfy.
Same. It's not like you can only be some bounty-hunter or traveling in the middle of an intergalactic war surrounded with pirates. Maybe you're just coming back on your homeworld after some space-groceries.
40k.. you mean the setting that's filled with magic and demons and shit? That 40k?
The science fantasy setting that's as far from hard sci fi as you can possibly get?
want a comfy house in a small village where you can store your daughter and books and weapons? sorry, how about building an outpost instead with hydroponic and science habs on a barren rocky planet
Half this thread is people pissed since they wont get to play the game due to their platform choice, wouldnt put too much thought into retarded complaints like the one you replied to.
It won’t even matter if it releases as a masterpiece.
It’s on Xbox so the gaming journos will shit all over it.
This one particular reviewer from Metro.co.uk gave high folk rush an 80 and wouldn’t put it higher because “Xbox has been a wasteland of games this past few years.”
Despite Xbox having a perfect 2021 on game reviews (Scored over 85 average for one year on reviews games and is the only company to do so) and Forza Horizon 5 which came out months ago.
But recently the gaming media has turned to dragging down Xbox no matter what they do.
yea no shit the gaming media is biased as hell.
A game like Hi Fi Rush releasing on Xbox probably pissed them off since they all own a PS, same reason you have zoomers seething in this thread.
Sadly most people can't handle that sort of thing, even more simple 3d movement throws a lot of people off look at underwater never coming back to monster hunter.
You can think along the same lines in terms of ship maneuverability I think, this ain't gonna be elite dangerous that's for sure
Yeah that's the point it's a place for druggies, perverts and gambling addicts, not everything has to be comfy, if anything the seedy enhances the comfy you get when you get back on your comfy ship
You build a comfy ship and can also build a comfy home, there will be other planets that aren't just barren rocks, the planet new atlantis on had some reall comfy foliage in the concept art
Watch this video, most of the decorations from that can be seen in this shot of the ship from the gameplay reveal. It's definitely been personalized and there's a bit of a weathered look to the ship interior that makes it feel well-used and familiar.
Since there's coffee cups and other loose decorations around I have to imagine every ship is under artificial gravity at all times (aka moving the ship has zero effect on anything) so things should stay where you place them. Hopefully you get plenty of chances to do zero G combat in other ships and stations or space walks to make up for not having zero G in your own ship.
Then make a home, there's even a perk to start with one, although I think I heard something about that perk being changed at some point from having you start with a small home and instead gives you a mansion, so maybe you get a small home for free now
You're thinking of comfy medieval fantasy because we are used to that but there's also the very uncomfy side of living in dirty places, dying from an infected wound, shitting yourself to death because of some bacteria, being captured and tortured by the evil religious people because you said something bad, having your wife die in childbirth, suffering from some incurable curse, etc.
And the issue with scifi, I think, is that we focus on that dark side of things way too much.
The concept art definitely does have a hopeful adventurous feeling to it. Bethesda games never quite look like their concept art - I'm sure vehicles aren't in the game - but the tone they're aiming for is what's important.
I don't know it to be true but I'm sure of it anyway. We've seen quite a bit of the game at this point and have not come across a single land vehicle. They could've shown off the new feature for even a second to let people know about it. Instead, the most evidence we've seen of wheeled vehicles of any kind are >Robotic looking cargo carriers in the background of shots >Center-pivot irrigation system >Tire tracks on the cargo bay of a spaceship
Which is all about as convincing as seeing husks of motorcycles and cars in Fallout 4 and thinking there will be one you can drive.
I could get proven wrong at the upcoming direct but I doubt it.
There are definitely not land vehicles it's not something they've put a second of time into developing, only Xilandro has ever done anything with vehicles.
The reason people don't use a name is because 1 they are not gays but 2 then when you post your dumb irrelevant opinion 45 times per thread no one can tell it's you every time.

Remember many, many years ago when some anon first leaked Starfield on Ganker? One of the things he said it would do is reveal that TES and Fallout take place in the same universe.
Every half-witted Bethesda fan has made the same silly speculation cause shared universes tickle their brain. Having a Fallout or TES easter egg won't mean they share the same universe.
>Every half-witted Bethesda fan has made the same silly speculation cause shared universes tickle their brain.
This wasn't a fanboy. This was a legit Bethesda insider. This was the first anyone had ever heard anything about Starfield. Didn't he also leak the entire plot to Fallout 4 too?
I'm inclined to ignore leaks given how many other larpers have tried to leak Starfield and were proven wrong in one way or another. Was he the one who actually posted those in-development pictures of the game?
>Was he the one who actually posted those in-development pictures of the game?
As I recall the game wasn't really in development yet so he had no indev pics to show. Just a lot of things to say. As I recall he leaked a heap of shit that later was proved to be true. Like he said HBO had approached Bethesda to make a Game of Thrones RPG and later on Todd revealed that was actually true but they had decided to turn them down. Pretty sure he said Fallout 4 was going to be a Bladerunner knock off and that also kind of turned out to be true. Although I might be mashing multiple different leaking events together.
>Every half-witted Bethesda fan has made the same silly speculation cause shared universes tickle their brain.

Link to the leaks? Only possibly legit leaker for Starfield I've seen is https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/558001654/#q558015414
He gets a lot right but he didn't actually leak anything to corroborate what might as well be speculation. The image he posted was from a 2020 reddit leak. He also claimed atmospheric flight would be in the game.
Almost all of the base women in Skyrim were hot because they made almost the entire female cast attractive milfs. Interestingly there's very few hotties in Fallout 4 for some reason. They put some effort into the companions but for the regular NPCs they've all got weird looking faces. Even Magnolia, who is supposed to be absolutely stunning, is weird looking.
Considering what a gross pervert Todd Howard is and the fact that sex boosts the sales, which is all he cares about, it's highly likely that Starfield will be a porn game.
My hope is they'd do something interesting with a sequel. The game's plot is about finding alien life it seems, if the game ended with first contact then did a bit of a timeskip so humans and the aliens have integrated a bit and they had a weird culture that could be neat.
>Fags only worship Enderal because it's free.
based and true. retards that cant figure out how to mod skyrim play enderal and pretend it fixed the game.
I'm sure Todd will go for the lame reveal with aliens (they existed but are long dead, they're hecking evil) but I think it would be neat if Humanity instead found a more underdeveloped race then them in the process. 9/10 the aliens are equals or more advanced then humanity.
Dead aliens are used so often cause they add depth without having to commit to completely changing humanity >Gives an answer to Fermi's paradox - they're not showing up cause the local ones are dead and gone >Allows humanity to explore something new and profound that makes them pause and consider themselves >Still keeps humanity alone in the universe so their story of space exploration remains focused entirely on them >Makes humanity continue to long for first contact with a renewed vigor now that they know it's possible
Once you add in a live alien species the story becomes focused on how meeting those aliens changes humanity and begins to meld them into a new social structure. Humanity becomes a contrasting element rather than the center of the story.
That's fair. I wouldn't mind Starfield having Aliens later but the first game to focus on humanity. It's part of why I think the idea of Humanity finding a less developed species and uplifting them is more interesting.
I don't think this game will be particularly good, but just from removing the voiced protagonist it'll be better then Fallout 4. Also adding back in traits and persuasion not being entirely luck based helps.
Exactly
With shitty armor, plastic weapons, 100000 empty planets, WOKE PROPAGANDA, the Crimson FLEET and zero comfyness brought to you by TODD HOWARD I am pretty sure this game will be 010
Has anyone tried Spaceborne 2? People keep saying it’s a better star citizen but it has a few bugs.
Is it true? Figured this would be a good place to ask.
I have ever in my life played a bethesda game on launch, always wait for all of the DLC's to be available to buy them on a discount bundle. But im kind of hyped about skyrim with guns in sapce, should I make an exception with this one, or is the Bethesda launch experience really that bad?
The only reason to play at launch is if you're interested in sharing the exploration of a new game with the community, or if you want to play the game so badly you can't wait.
I've never had bad experiences of launch day Bethesda games but that doesn't mean it can't happen. This year alone we've seen a whole lot of bad PC launches.
Always Bethesda games on launch and then buy it again when the "GOTY" edition comes out with all the DLC bundled in. Then buy it again when it's rereleased on the next platform. Then send Todd a $70 cheque in the mail as an extra thank you.

SPACE WAIFU SIMULATOR LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>It does have Daggerfall's banking system
It has a bank location, that doesn't imply you can actually take loans or deposit cash. >It does have Daggerfall's advantage and disadvantage system
Bethesda hates challenge so none of these will be dramatically change the game. In fact most of them are flavour like having your characters parents as NPC's or one that's just a reference to the adoring fan. >It does have joinable churches.
True. >It does have a faction system deeper than Morrowind
It's already been confirmed to have a similar faction system to Skyrim. >It does have better gunplay than new vegas
Not a high bar and not praiseworthy. >It does have classic stats >It does have skills and the most perks of any previous Bethesda title
It has perks. Skills aren't in the game and there's no mention of classic stats. >It does have the deepest RPG systems of any previous Bethesda title.
Not confirmed and with no skills unlikely. >It does have companions you romance and sleep with.
So did 4, not praiseworthy. Hell even 76 has two characters you can have in your settlement that you can fuck. >It does have the deepest companion relationship system of any previous Bethesda title
From how Todd described it, it has Fallout 4's relationship system but if you do something a character doesn't like they'll be mad at you for a while instead of just "X hated that". Not that impressive. >It does have the most dialogue of any previous Bethesda title
More doesn't equal better. >It does have better character models and animations than any previous Bethesda title
That's to be expected, not something praiseworthy. >It does have a direct improvement on Daggerfall's random generation
Nobody likes random generation because after a few times you see the same shit with a slight variation or two.
>It does have planets you can fully circumnavigate and explore
Sure, but what's the point of exploring them. There won't be anything noteworthy beyond the occasional random encounter. >It does have in depth environmental hazards befitting a space exploration game
We don't know how in-depth those are, and since Todd has outright said they removed the ability to run out of fuel I don't expect much depth in other areas of the game. >It does have space flight with a fully customizable ship and crew >It does have a silent protagonist >It does have an improvement on Oblivion's persuasion system
True. >It does have to send Obsidian fanboys seething and desperately coping about Outer Worlds
Outer Worlds is not a high bar. >It does have to put Star Citizen whales on suicide watch
They already were.
Not an answer. There is no sense of wonder and adventure when walking around a virtual map you already know has nothing of note in it compared to getting to explore a new land in real life.
irl nature is beautiful, bethesda games are not. Walking/ hiking is fun, holding W is not. Walking/ hiking is also good exercise, sitting in your gaymer chair is not. Climbing mountains makes sense, playing bethesdaslop does not.
once, youtube was recommending me this japanese streamer who was playing for anim looking game with a big booba girl. I, of course, clicked on the link and it was a good 5 min before i realized he was playing Skyrim, with so many mods it was virtually unrecognizable.
Not an answer. There is no sense of wonder and adventure when walking around a virtual map you already know has nothing of note in it compared to getting to explore a new land in real life.
Walking around in empty areas is not appealing in a video game unless you have a mental disorder. It is in no way comparable to actually climbing a mountain or exploring somewhere yourself.

i was actually excited for this game until i saw the gameplay trailer...with fucking Planet "Kings" and shit. it's just skyrim AGAIN but in space. no thank you.
The only space game I can think of that did exploration well is Outer Wilds, mainly because instead of a thousand random planets you have about 6 small ones to explore.
Well Outer Wilds entire thing is exploration. You don't really get any new items or equipment or anything, you just learn how to deal with problems. If you knew what to do and where to go you could beat the game in your first attempt.
I wanted Starfield to be a success to kill off Star Citizen once and for all, but I know that's not going to happen. It's going to be yet another clearly incomplete absurd jankyness of game that will make everyone question whether AAAs are viable again (and will use the new Zelda as an example of an exception to the rule). The mechanics are going to be shallow as fuck to appeal to the most casual audience possible. This game will be an embarrassment.
imagine like a skyrim game that wasnt fucking nord gay land, and actually comfy, with forests and trees, and log cabins and an actual good storyline that isnt a gimmick, with goblins and traditional monsters rather than fucking 99% undead draugr every 5 seconds
I guess this genre is interesting to some people. Like Star Citizen retards. I hope Starfield kills SC.
Personally I am not excited at all. Nobody asked for this, and it looks boring. They should have just made TES 6. They already made Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 between, why a third game before working on their next Elder Scrolls? It's gonna be like 19 years between Skyrim and TES 6
You've got five games to go back and play, it's time for sci-fi chads (who asked for this) to play Todd's magnum opus which he had been waiting to make for 20 years.
They've done something similar during the gameplay reveal but it was heavily edited. If they are going to do one, it will be at the Starfield showcase next month.
if they're smart the showcase will highlight the wide variety of biomes and climates you can experience in those hundreds of planets
if the world generation is decent enough this could be the ultimate game for people who enjoy exploring and hunting for the ideal spot to build a home or town
conversation about this game could last years with people sharing new unique places they found
the modding scene will only enhance this
people love "epic" and hype trailers
I don't understand why Starfield promos are so safe and calm
Skyrim and Elden Ring sold gajillion copies because their promo material doubled down on the games being le epic grand adventures
It's not a hard and fast rule that every Sci-fi needs to adhere to in the exact same way. Star Wars is obviously so much different tone wise than Star Trek and a whole lot of Sci-fi still needs their heroes. Still, check out the advertisements for those, especially Halo 3. Music choice is one of the most important factors. They have a different feeling than their fantasy counterparts, and that feeling is something Sci-fi cultivates often. Hell, one of them straight up starts with "You wonder what's out there?"
>those trailers
Fucking hell. Why can't we have sci-fi kino like that anymore? I don't remember being excited for a game in that setting for years. Nowadays it's all fantasy, modern day or near future.
The biggest mistake they've done so far is showcasing a bland greenfiltered moon for a third of their showcase. All the small snippets of other landscapes we've seen fire me up.
I'm extremely curious about how deep the worlds exploration is going to be, caves, forests, mountains, desert, wild creature territories.
How's the magnitude of the environments is going to be, I want to feel rather small in a immense galaxy, I want that feel.
I know Bethesda isn't known for those specific concepts.
skyrim looked uncomfy before special edition got rid of the grayness
just wait for starfield special edition
Wrong. I remember it clearly being comfy in 2011, I remember my first character travelling to winterhold on foot having ignored every quest direction and still at level 1, because the innkeeper had told me there was a college there.
Holy kino memories, thanks todd.
Or maybe it’s because you were 12 and impressionable so anything would seem comfy
If it's comfy it's comfy, I'm not talking about objective quality. If it "seems" comy then it is comfy, that's the whole fucking point.
comfy for a 12 yr old is the point brainlet
kids have better taste than adults in videogames
>liking skyrim
>taste
lmao kiddo acting like a big boy
based, Shitrim will never be good
Shut the fuck up Skyrim is KINO unlike Starfields GOYSLOP
Skyrim Is only good with mods.
fun of skyrim over time
holy autismo KEK you're retarded
ok bro
man i just don't care about anything in this image remotely
Game of Thrones ruined fantasy and made everything bleak and black
Skyrim and GoT came out around the same time, morongay.
Oblivion is the most boring dull and unfun setting/gameplay i ever seen
Morrowind had interesting setting but the gameplay was even worse than Oblivion
Skyrim is the only good TES game simply because the gameplay is decent and the setting/visuals are actually nice
It's an uncomfy type of comfy, you wouldn't understand
Compared to Oblivion very few modern games can be considered comfy
Hardspace Shipbreaker was comfy whenever the plot wasn't happening. I'm looking for even half of that feeling in Starfield.
No
It's because it's a space rpg, the theme is inherently shit.
Skyrim is immediately appealing to the eyes and the atmosphere is pleasant, because it's a high fantasy rpg.
It's that simple no need to look further
>Starfield
>no place to call "Home"
DoA
One of the traits gives you a starting home and another has your characters parent's be NPC's in the game. Either of those would be home.
imagine the incest mods
Thank you Todd I will now buy your game
>start game as white
>pass the obligatory section that makes the re-edit character option prompt shows up
>become black
>parents are still the pre-generated white npcs
Beautiful.
Your space ship is home.
This, or make one the planets your headcanon home, fucking zoomers with their lack of imagination.
there's actually a trait in the game that lets you start out with a home but you have to pay a mortgage to the Space Bank
I am not joking
Oh no. Space mudcrabs. And remember that this is the studio that has not released anything worthwhile since Skyrim 11 years ago.
Fallout 4 was decent.
No it wasn't, you blithering idiot.
Sure thing Mr. Contrarian.
It had good potential but it got wasted with this broken construction thing and the very high density of "places" (let alone the shit story and optimisation).
BASED POSTERS!!!
go back to kenshi threads you obnoxious gay
What did you expect from a space game?
They aren't comfy.
Bro mass effect? I dont even like spaceshit but that series is peak comf.
Sci fi has potential for creativity. Fantasy and contemporary do not.
Theres nothing creative or interesting about things that already exist.
>fantasy
>things that already exist
Ratchet and Clank was pretty comfy.
Skyrim is shit and only good because of Mods.
Bethesda haven't made a good game since Morrowind.
Skyrim is a game that requires an imaginative and adventurous spirit to make the most of it. Any mongoloid that calls it shit or says you need to mod it til it breaks is a graphicfag single iq ignoramus only concerned about base-level visual stimulus
>implying mods are only visual
Hello nufriend
Skyrim is shit by the way.
>implying mods are only visual
Not everybody wants to spend fucking 5 hours getting mods to work then having 1 patch fucking break them all you fucking nerd
>an imaginative and adventurous spirit
THIS is the cope that Skyrim shitters are resorting to now? They have no arguments on thrle quality of the game objectively so they make up shite like this
>t. NPC
>game brings nothing to the table so you have to make everything up as you go along
k
Just close your eyes and imagine an adventure, retard. The game doesnt get points just because I'm autistic enough to invent something out of nothing. This is the loser single player version of "its fun with friends".
>you need to imagine the fun
Wow, great game
Unironically this. Just look at the replies. Uncomfortable truth causes the most seething.
I don’t know who is worse
Cyberpunkfags or Skyrimfags.
Le contrarian poster has arrived, morrowind and oblivion aged like milk
So when did you come to Ganker? After 2016? Cos you're certainly retarded gays. No one who was on Ganker before 2016 liked Skyrim.
2010 newfag, you haven't seen anything
fuck off
everyone liked skyrim until a few years ago when people suddenly decided they didn't
And that 'suddenly' just happened to coincide with Bethesda being bought by a certain company.
Normalfags certainly did. "Gamers™" have always been critical of it.
imo it was contrarianism for the sake of online clout
all TES games were liked and still are actively discussed
if you ask a normie nowadays he'll say nuh-uh skyrim is still good
a better example would be bioshock infinite and if you say it's shit any normie will agree that in retrospect it was mediocre and forgettable
The non-contrarian opinion is that all of the modern TES titles are great games that, although packed with flaws, offer an as yet unmatched experience in vidya.
Fuckofd ressit
Every mainline TES game was comfy if you played it at the right time in your life, and shit if you played it too late, with the possible exception of Daggerfall since it expanded on Arena so much.
I like it on release, even though the level scaling is retarded, enemies are damage sponges, and magic is boring without mods. If you were around for the Oblivion release you'd remember Ganker being contrarian gays about that too, and then slowly changing stance over time.
its not even fun with mods they just postpone how long it takes you to realize the map is small and the quests suck
Most based take in the thread.
Though not even Mods can save the trash that is Skyrim.
>Bethesda haven't made a good game since Terminator Future Shock*
Fixed. Elder Shart has never been good, you gays will just cling to the first one you played and pretend it's shit doesn't stink. It has never been and never will be a good RPG series.
>never will be a good RPG series
so name a good one
New Vegas, obviously
Nope, it's a 7/10 RPG that retarded zoomers like you suck off because you're too fucking brain-dead to play a good RPG like Arcanum or the original Fallouts.
Original fallouts are GOYSLOP that don't even stack up to Skyrim let alone the better TES RPGs
>Tripmoron uses zoomie words and praises Skyrim
As expected.
No, because they're actually interesting RPGs and react well to your choices. Meanwhile most of the reactions to your actions in New Vegas are ending slides. But you'd never know because zoomer scum like you can't handle a game that doesn't hold your hand.
>react to choices
Lol
Lmao even
Hard to comprehend isn't it zoomer? Too bad your shitty Devs are too incompetent to do it.
>Say bad thing
>Your companion hates you more
>No effect on anything else
>choices
Ahahaha
!!!FALSEFAG ALERT!!!
>These rpgs are better because they’re clunky pieces of shit with boring turn based crap strapped on
>"Haha I love eating dogshit!"
>You should stop eating dogshit
>"Oh yeah, well name a good type of shit to eat then!"
How about none, retard
>German food analogy
>frogposter
how dare you disrespect mexican cuisine like that.
Morrowind is and will be my favourite game always
We know zoomer, you never shut up about it.
You're right
>Bethesda haven't made a good game since Morrowind
just out of curiosity, how much pot do you smoke per day?
Well yeah, everybody knows that
>we're at the point where zoomers are calling morrowind good
Morrowind did for LARPing zoomers what New Vegas did for Twitter trannies.
LARPing is very fun though.
You can beat up each other people with FOAM WEAPONS and throw ith FOAM FIREBALLS!!!
ESL pls
Second language + fast, imprecise writing.
>Second language
what do you think ESL means
English Second Language
Googled it.
true
and morrowind IS good, sorry zoomies
That implies Skyrim is good with mods. My game is modded to hell and back, literally only log on to fap now, but even then the last time I did was months ago. Spent so much time looking for mods and shit and now it's just a waste of space again. Shit breaks constantly, gameplay is still absolute dogshit. Only reason I haven't uninstalled is due to how hard it was finding all the jp/korean mods, otherwise I probably would have uninstalled by now.
I wonder if there will be any planets that look like a normal forested area.
Every planet will have one Gimmick like forest planet, ice planet, desert planet, jungle planet, etc.
There will be no actually realistic planets like earth.
Wouldn't be too sure.
Im fairly certain i saw an artic region in Jemison
that's what i'm expecting
>ah this is the planet with the red trees and the lake, let's get the spacefish and the red tree fruit and jet off to the next rocky place
I mean real cultures like the Stormcloaks and Imperials from Skyrim)
>superiour
>realistic planets like earth.
You're so close to figuring out the truth.
Yeah desert planet is so unrealistic... Have you ever heard of a place called Mars? LMAO
The mars is literally a floating rock with no life on it.
This is why I prefere medieval (or really any other setting) to space games.
At least they didn't make the from interiour plastic like their weapons.
>wooden spaceships never ever
I wish sci-fi games stopped being all metal and plastic. gimme wooden space buckets tied together with rope strapped with a jet engine
Fuck off back to outer reddit
I'll take Treasure Planet too if you have it
Shitty live action remake when?
hopefully disney hates Treasure Planet enough to just leave it alone
Parts of the orbiting module for the first moon landing was made of fucking wood. I love that shit.
So there's a hard science angle on that. But I also condone going full Commander Keen, or full French Powerfantasy.
>Parts of the orbiting module for the first moon landing was made of fucking wood.
I don't think that's true. There's two problems. First is wood is an organic material so it doesn't do well in a vacuum. Second, it's flammable. I imagine they'd use almost anything else before they used wood.
>it doesn't do well in a vacuum
What would happen to it?
Dries out. Becomes brittle.
it is true. it was unmanned though.
While I don't care much about the whole idea of having wooden space ships, I do like the music in that game and wouldn't mind seeing sci fi games do different kind of tracks. Shit like Travellers is peak comfy.
Gay ass nonsense
You will probably be forced to live in a LITERAL pod.
Gone are all the comfy places to call home.
Starfield is their best-looking game so far. the music is what makes the game comfy and I'm skeptical about Starfield's OST.
Skyrim had 10/10 music
>Dragon age inquisition composer
You can kiss your comfyness goodbye
2 not Inquisition
The main theme isn't so bad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3thiIEvK0c
But the rest of the OST is absolutely forgettable
Inon Zur did Dragon Age Origins and 2's soundtracks, not Inquisition. Beyond that the main things I know he did was compose for Fallout 3, NV and 4 and the main theme for Pathfinder Kingmaker (also apparently involved with Dragons Dogma's?). He's a decent composer, he's just competing with Jeremy Soule, but Soule has seemingly went completely off the grid between getting metoo'd and some shit about his company and guild wars 2's ost so I don't think he's coming back anytime soon, even if Todd wants him.
soule was planning his exit way before any of that.
>can you BELIEVE a bethesda ideas guy is a piece of shit??
woah really?
>ideas guy
Is that what composers are now?
to be fair i never had to mod the music so i cant hate him but yeah pretty much everyone at bethesda is just an ideas guy. its like they all formed a company together.
Who made the game then?
no one with talent. interns probably.
They must have the best interns in the industry if that's the case. For a bunch of ideas guys who steal work and claim it as their own, they sure do teach them well.
>trainhead
>fps tied to physics
>deleting radiant AI or reducing it (the one thing bethesda ACTUALLY made all on their own)
remember that time a bunch of litterally whos showed up and made a game on par if not better than bethesda??
>They must have the best interns in the industry if that's the case
this is cult shit. none of bethesda games are very good.
>He fell for trainhead
Way to out yourself as a braindead doomposter
>trainhead
a textbook example of an ingenious development trick to reduce dev time and resources required to implement a feature that will work perfectly for 99.999% of users who don't dig into the game files to get mad over stuff.
Looks like you fell for it too
>we never had functioning trains in any of the games
>THIS IS A GOOD THING ITS GENIUS!!!
bethesda cult is fucking weird.
There were functioning elevators in Fallout 4 that's the exact same shit.
>they made elevators
>BETHSDA CONFIRMED FOR BEST DEV
the Bethesda cult is fucking weird.
You have brain damage
i have brain damage because i can clearly tell those are bullshit achievements and i think their games were never very good
cool.
>Bethesda games have never done this!
>Yes they have
>W-well it's a bullshit achievement that doesn't mean anything!
You have brain damage.
no on ever wrote bethesda never had anything. youre losing it anon.
Just want to say that the other anon is right. You have some form of brain damage (autist, asperger's, etc.)
there were two types of elevators in fo4
one was a loading screen in disguise taking you between cells
the other was actually a functional elevator.
>>we never had functioning trains in any of the games
Fallout 4 features a functioning train in Nuka World and Starfield features trains
>>fps tied to physics
I'm pretty sure that's no longer a thing in Creation Engine 2
It was changed after the first Fallout 76 patch.
>bunch of litterally whos
Go play Mafia 2 you zoomer cunt
>exitscams for barely $100k
Inon zur also worked on the kingmaker OST so there is hope for comfyness still
He can do comfy music.
>you WILL play starfield
>you WILL bitch about starfield on Ganker
>you WILL reopen starfield after bitching
>you WILL see months of starfield posts
>you WILL play starfield for 100+ hours
>you WILL feel shame for enjoying starfield
>you WILL mod starfield
>you WILL play 300+ MORE hours of starfield
>you WILL seethe on Ganker the whole time
>you WILL discuss starfield on Ganker for 15+ years
>you WILL repeat the above for tes6 and fo5
>you WILL continue talking about Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Starfield for eternity.
Simple as.
Todd has us by the balls forever. Praise be.
My lord.tjsx4
true
>copy-pasted jank by interns on an ancient spaghetti engine
>omg i can't wait to fix it myself for free!
Every fucking time. Learn to spot patterns, Bethesda cucks. Get a fucking grip.
Dw anon, Todd here, the bleak lifeless rocks are meant to look like dog shit so that when you get to the designated peaceful green area it hits harder.
Luv me Elder Scrolls
'ate Fallout
Luv me Witcher
'ate Cyberpunk
Fantasy RPG > Sci-Fi RPG
Simple as
just realized there won't be any horse riding in starfield
what am I supposed to do? walk or drive a fucking rover? fuck this shit
mod in a cyberhorse
I hate the experience of driving and both in vidya and the real, if I can cycle or walk somewhere I will
low gravity planets will enable space levitation
Elder Scrolls > Fallout
Cyberpunk > Witcher
>Fantasy RPG > Sci-Fi RPG
If you're a gaywad maybe
its gonna be so bad, so will Elder Scrolls 6 when it releases in 7 years, the entire game industry has stopped trying to please the customer
>uncomfy
Kid, play some Space Engine. You’ll learn the true meaning of uncomfy.
>can't create decent combat animations
>steal animations from another studio
>still looks shit
it's over
Literally nothing wrong with that animation. You are looking for reasons to be angry.
>Literally nothing wrong with that animation
>has never reloaded a shotgun before
>Has never ejected WHOLE cartridges back out
I supposed you think when you shoot a bullet it's the whole brass too?
What does that have to do with the ANIMATION which is clearly the topic at hand in that webm.
WHAT DOES THE ANIMATION , THE ANIMATED PART OF THE CLIP, WHICH ANIMATES, HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ANIMATION?
See if I thought like you I wouldn't have a degree in Digital 3d design and also be a clay shooting coach, then I wouldn't be qualified to come on a nacho cheese taco sizing forum to shout at more qualified people about things I don't know about
You might want to get a refund on that degree since you were complaining about the models and not the animation, which even a layman like me can differentiate.
>comparing bing-bing-wahoo to a realistic game
Yes, because "reloading your shotgun with a hand" is such a unique and quirky way to animate it
>steal
>from a studio with the same parent company
>who was known to have been consulted during Fallout 4 and likely was again for this game
I bet the used words they stole from the dictionary too! The gall of some people.
>Ganker acting like most of space isn’t a complete desolate rocky and empty place.
If you want realism play Space Engine. Then complain how empty space is. Space isn’t like no man’s sky where every planet has an atmosphere, wild plant life and creatures.
your post is insanely confusing, you disagree with yourself in it
is this a GPT post?
Heck go one further and play Elite Dangerous as it’s supposed to be 1:1 of the Milkyway
>space engine
>go further and play elite dangerous!
???
space engine is a 1:1 of the milky way and every galaxy known to man
Welcome to physics-based rendering, it makes everything pale and grey because that's how reality is.
No it isn't, you must live in some gay depressing place like scandinavia
Not everyone lives in a circus like you, clown
If you go outside and see fucking grey it's a you problem, unironically.
Within a week some fag will have ENb running so they can make it look like some shithole over saturated shit.
Didnt the ENB guy kill himself?
Isn't he Russian? Maybe those bastard Ukrainians killed him? Also, does anyone know if they killed SKstalker? He's a Russian. Haven't seen anything from him in a while.
That's the RAID guy
ENB got attacked by redditors for being a "homophobe" and he doubled down
How do we know he killed himself?
:/
WOOOOOOOOW
JUST LIKE THE LAST FIVE BETHESDA GAMES
is there a comma missing, wtf is jetpack sex and why would ESRB mention that.
>High impact jet propulsion intercourse
No there is not
https://www.ign.com/articles/starfields-esrb-rating-reveals-drugs-in-game-purchases-and-jetpack-sex
Will i be able to pee poo in my space suit?
What would happen if you shot a gun in space?
it would be very painful
Honestly hyped for the space combat
Can you walk around the ship like in star citizen?
todd here. yeah you can.
KYS Todd
Yeah, it's in the gameplay reveal, you can stop flying and get up to do whatever inside the ship whenever you want.
Same. It's not like you can only be some bounty-hunter or traveling in the middle of an intergalactic war surrounded with pirates. Maybe you're just coming back on your homeworld after some space-groceries.
so butthurt lmao. sci fi shit will always be superior.
theres a reason why things like 40k make money but their fantasy counter part didnt.
40k.. you mean the setting that's filled with magic and demons and shit? That 40k?
The science fantasy setting that's as far from hard sci fi as you can possibly get?
I think going around in a space ship with some radio music playing could be comfy.
scifi is an uncomfy setting in general
>the ground texture on right looks worse than a game that's over a decade old
holy shit
And the in-game footage had FPS issues.
Starfield wont be comfy because fantasy RPG > crap sci-fi RPG
want a comfy house in a small village where you can store your daughter and books and weapons? sorry, how about building an outpost instead with hydroponic and science habs on a barren rocky planet
They already indicated they're making all this optional and you can just fuck around in the inhabited systems the whole game if you want
Half this thread is people pissed since they wont get to play the game due to their platform choice, wouldnt put too much thought into retarded complaints like the one you replied to.
just like the optional building in fallout 4, right anon?
Yeah, I never built a single thing in Fallout 4 and sided with the Brotherhood.
Your move.
Liar, never actually played the game or just forgot (fair). Which is it anon
You use the settlement system once to build a teleporter, that's not the same as having to build an entire settlement like you fags imply.
>Want to live in a comfy town? Sorry IDIOT, YOU NEED FOOD!
???
Fucking hell its another junk hoarding simulator.
First time playing a Bethesda game in the last 20 years?
No. Im currently playing fo4 and dont want to farm aluminium and adhesive again
A game like Hi Fi Rush releasing on Xbox probably pissed them off since they all own a PS, same reason you have zoomers seething in this thread.
what are the odds the game will have variable gravity
>piss filter
i hate this i hate this i hate this
That's not what a piss filter is you fucking retard. It's desaturated.
I'm not seeing it.
Stick to weebshit if you want lots and lots of colors. The adults will play the games for adults.
>Grey and dull is ADULT
>Joy is for CHILDREN
Nah shut the fuck up saturation levels aren't the mark of maturity.
All video games are for children. Pretending to be more "adult" based on which flavour of kids' media you consume is the childish as shit.
What site or program is that? It seems pretty cool.
https://www.geotests.net/couleurs/frequences_en.html
Interesting. I bet this style is going to inspire a lot of ENB mods to correct it. It won't be for everyone.
if your piss looks like that you should see a doctor.
What I see:
>gray
>gray
>light gray
>dark gray
>gray
What I don't see:
>yellow
good morning sir
The UI has a gravity meter so I would assume so.
The planet you start off with, seemingly, has .55 G
there's zero gravity combat
which I'm sure will be ass
They say it's zero g but I know we're not going to be allowed to reorient off those walls or anything so it's all just bullshit
Sadly most people can't handle that sort of thing, even more simple 3d movement throws a lot of people off look at underwater never coming back to monster hunter.
You can think along the same lines in terms of ship maneuverability I think, this ain't gonna be elite dangerous that's for sure
I really hope this is a fake screenshot, but if not, Starfield is done for good.
Based reverse psychology shill
Imagine living in this shithole!
Soooo uncomfy!!!
looks like cyberpunk which was the least comfy game I've played in years
degenerate neon bullshit
Fag. Watson is top tier comfy industrial
I agree, I felt disgusted when I was wandering around Night City. It was like a constant sense of watching a porno in terms of degeneracy.
Yeah that's the point it's a place for druggies, perverts and gambling addicts, not everything has to be comfy, if anything the seedy enhances the comfy you get when you get back on your comfy ship
Oh it is a shithole and that makes it comfy in a way. it's a classic cyberpunk esque dystopia
It's real, it's a dome city on some kind of rig in the middle of an ocean, they make drugs from poisonous fish.
STOP FALSEFAGGING!
!!!FALSEFAG ALERT!!!
Real schizo hours huh
Stop namefagging and you wouldn't have to worry about being impersonated
Use some common sense.
The "Santa Claus" that posts retarded andor perverted things is the falsefag.
All of Santa Claus posts are retarded. get a trip
This might be shocking but all of them are retarded because gays using a name on an anonymous imageboard tend to be retards.
I like it
It should run on steam deck right.
Because it’s just a modified Fallout 4 engine and Fallout 4 runs well on steam deck even on high.
Yeah
Don’t mind even if I have to play on Low, I just want some comfy space flying in bed.
Let'sall not forget how Todd Howard ripped off Dungeons of Aether with his "Crimson FLEET"!
You build a comfy ship and can also build a comfy home, there will be other planets that aren't just barren rocks, the planet new atlantis on had some reall comfy foliage in the concept art
spaceships are not comfy
they're smooth and white and packed with resources like space food and fuel, not books and axes and rugs
books and axes and rugs arent the only things that can be comfy anon
Axes aren't comfy either.
They aren't, sorry to burst your bubble. A chainsaw is better.
I really like the ship interior, it feels comfy to me.
I don't see a single personal item or decoration, that's my grievance with scifi, it's all tech imagination instead of personality
This space definitely has build mode which means you can rearrange it and decorate "the set" however you want.
Watch this video, most of the decorations from that can be seen in this shot of the ship from the gameplay reveal. It's definitely been personalized and there's a bit of a weathered look to the ship interior that makes it feel well-used and familiar.
but will we be able to just drop shit around and it stays there
that's what a bethesda house is about
Since there's coffee cups and other loose decorations around I have to imagine every ship is under artificial gravity at all times (aka moving the ship has zero effect on anything) so things should stay where you place them.
Retard
Comfyness is achieved with contrasts, not "le wholesome books"
books axes and rugs literally sounds soulless lol wtf shit taste.
The concept art definitely does have a hopeful adventurous feeling to it. Bethesda games never quite look like their concept art - I'm sure vehicles aren't in the game - but the tone they're aiming for is what's important.
>I'm sure vehicles aren't in the game
And you know that because.
I don't know it to be true but I'm sure of it anyway. We've seen quite a bit of the game at this point and have not come across a single land vehicle. They could've shown off the new feature for even a second to let people know about it. Instead, the most evidence we've seen of wheeled vehicles of any kind are
>Robotic looking cargo carriers in the background of shots
>Center-pivot irrigation system
>Tire tracks on the cargo bay of a spaceship
Which is all about as convincing as seeing husks of motorcycles and cars in Fallout 4 and thinking there will be one you can drive.
I could get proven wrong at the upcoming direct but I doubt it.
I should probably show the cargo carrier to help illustrate the point. This is the closest we've seen to a rover and it clearly can't be operated.
There are definitely not land vehicles it's not something they've put a second of time into developing, only Xilandro has ever done anything with vehicles.
Why does Santa become a shitposting gay when it's not Christmas time?
I love sucking Todd Howard's dick
>aww shieet here we go again
It’ll have Lovers Lab built in.
This
You will live in the pod
You will eat the nutrient paste
You will own nothing and be happy
Buy Starfield now!!!
All I want to know is if I can have a one man ship? No crew or anything, just a small ship with say a kitchen/lounge area and a cabin to sleep in.
Yes
>Morrowind is the best
>Combat is literally miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss and has like 4 types of enemies
The reason people don't use a name is because 1 they are not gays but 2 then when you post your dumb irrelevant opinion 45 times per thread no one can tell it's you every time.
Anyways thanks for the easy filter annoying gay name user, the weakest race, people afraid to be without identity on the Internet. As if anyone cares what your gay, retarded, useless names are (they don't and also never will)
Reminder that the weapons are made from plastic and the armor is stupid.
They both look great. You just can't appreciate boomer aesthetics, zoomer.
You seriously can't tell this is a marketer playing the opposite game? Newgayry never ends
He plays the part of an underage German autist very very convincingly.
plastic guns are already a thing anon. you're silly in the membrane if you think they're not going to be more common in the future
You people get more insane with each passing day.
Another Anon mindbroken by Todd's Magnum Opus, you hate to see it.
Polymer firearm parts are commonplace
Today
In 2023
it’s. not. comfy.
imagine how awesome skyrim would be if your found loot was a fucking plastic sword
Why the fuck would anyone be using plastic in Fantasy? I'd be more annoyed if they were made of wood
Oh wait
>muh plastic
honestly, I hope you become a recurring schizo
Here's your awesome fantasy loot bro
wood is infinitely more comfy than plastic you dumb zoomer bastard
as an IPSC shooter, my long slide glock is pretty comfy
>completely missed the gameplay videos where every weapon they were holding was metal
Step up your shitposting
the default character in NV 12 years ago was a mistery meat muttoid. keep seething chud
>German can't appreciate polymer pistols when his people are the ones who made the first one
How shameful.
its okay day 1 there will be a mod to make everyone fuckable
bruh shes ugly
>Smartest 4chanfag
I'm starting to think you morons are straight up afraid of women kek
You're crying and pissing yourself from the mere sight of one in a video game
I'm assuming you are cumming your pants at the sight of one.
I don't want perverted, gross shit in my games.
That's what porn is for, not gaming.
>Women are icky, eeeew
Actual fucking toddlers on this board
Go watch some hentai, Falsefag Claus!
goddamn STOP IT you're not me!!!
REMINDER:
The Santa Claus who likes WOKENESS and SLUTS is the FALSEFAG!!!
The REAL Santa Claus doesn't like sluts and porn.
he probably means women purposeffuly designed as ugly
!!!FALSEFAG ALERT!!!
>WOKE PROTAGONIST
/pol/fag doesn't know what a character creator is
You will see how comfy it will be in the next event
I already saw a small part (only pics) and I swear that New Atlantis is something beautiful
Stop larping
What if there’s one world that’s literally tamriel.
Another world that’s Fallout…
Remember many, many years ago when some anon first leaked Starfield on Ganker? One of the things he said it would do is reveal that TES and Fallout take place in the same universe.
Warhammer tried this and it was stupid and never mentioned again
Yep
It was funny seeing people say that he was larping until we got confirmation later
Totally possible, bro. Earth is just a Realm of Revelry.
>TES and Fallout take place in the same universe.
Mr. House bros we just can't stop winning
I bet that thing can't even parry a copper axe without shattering into 1000 pieces!
Won't need to
That good old garden gnome 12 gauge will cut anyone in half before they know what's coming and still have 14 shells remaining
I plan on playing this on my steam deck even in 30fps if I have to.
This game looks so massive but it's gonna be shallow as a puddle like all nu-games from bethshit
I hope there’s a hot alien race we can fuck.
Like the blue aliens in Avatar.
>hot girls
>in bethesda game
lol
Few of the base women in Skyrim were pretty hot
They aren't 2D so they aren't attractive.
It's because they all have giant foreheads and noses that aren't meshed together with the face
Considering what a gross pervert Todd Howard is and the fact that sex boosts the sales, which is all he cares about, it's highly likely that Starfield will be a porn game.
>Piper
>Dixie
>Ellie
There was at least three in Fallout 4.
I'm just surprised at how unimaginative it looks.
My hope is they'd do something interesting with a sequel. The game's plot is about finding alien life it seems, if the game ended with first contact then did a bit of a timeskip so humans and the aliens have integrated a bit and they had a weird culture that could be neat.
>sequel lets you pick a race
>human
>space elf
>space orc
>space cat
>space lizard
>space moron
So basically mass effect 1? 1 takes place only 26 years after first contact iirc. Or do you mean even earlier?
Tropical planet would have been a better bet for a trailer. Maybe for the next one.
It literally says "pod"
Comfy podhr040h
Pod gaming
ZAMN! Pods look like that!? I don't know guys, I'm starting to think living in ze pod and eating ze bugs might not be so bad after all.
looks comfy, unironically
so do you have to shit in the shower or what?
Just play Enderal, it's literally just Skyrim if it was good
Enderal is worse than Skyrim
It's Skyrim if it had more edgy writing you mean. Fags only worship Enderal because it's free.
>Fags only worship Enderal because it's free.
based and true. retards that cant figure out how to mod skyrim play enderal and pretend it fixed the game.
>if it was made autists who hate fun
ftfy
Nehrim was better
I'm sure Todd will go for the lame reveal with aliens (they existed but are long dead, they're hecking evil) but I think it would be neat if Humanity instead found a more underdeveloped race then them in the process. 9/10 the aliens are equals or more advanced then humanity.
Dead aliens are used so often cause they add depth without having to commit to completely changing humanity
>Gives an answer to Fermi's paradox - they're not showing up cause the local ones are dead and gone
>Allows humanity to explore something new and profound that makes them pause and consider themselves
>Still keeps humanity alone in the universe so their story of space exploration remains focused entirely on them
>Makes humanity continue to long for first contact with a renewed vigor now that they know it's possible
Exactly
With shitty armor, plastic weapons, 100000 empty planets, WOKE PROPAGANDA, the Crimson FLEET and zero comfyness brought to you by TODD HOWARD I am pretty sure this game will be 010
Nobody cares about you until winter Santa.
it really is, this is why I hope the interior ship design is actually comfy
Has anyone tried Spaceborne 2? People keep saying it’s a better star citizen but it has a few bugs.
Is it true? Figured this would be a good place to ask.
Yeah I have, it’s unironically a better star citizen even with the jank.
It makes you laugh when you find out the game is made by one person.
Todd's games basically require extensive modding to be playable. Starfield will be no different.
I've seen those rocks in Fallout 3.
>cant fly above planet
>No rovers so will have to walk
It's shit.
It looks like Fallout 4.
Keep shilling, consoomaer
>He says as he bumps it from page 10
You like Starfield, don't you Santa Claus?
It's not my fault that Todd keeps bumping the threads abut his game.
Then send Todd a $70 cheque in the mail as an extra thank you.
uncomfy is a word only slightly chubby girls use after you guilted them into having sex with you and now they regret it
that's uncomfingly specific
My only apprehension about Starfield is the high likelihood it won't run on PC well without 16gb VRAM or something ridiculous.
No, it's being made by western developers so it'll probably be somewhat competent in that regard.
Why didn't they just make Skyrim 2?
Skyrim still sells huge numbers
It'll be extra comfy if we can make a comfy base in the middle of a hostile planet
Soul vs SOULLESS
>looks only marginally less shit than a ps3 game
How are these games 12 years apart?
I don't think you quite remember just how shit Skyrim looked on PS3.
I do.
Fellout: Spess when?
September 6th
talking about the space version of this mod
soul/soulless
the oppressive irradiated feel of everything enhances those moments of finding pockets of civilization trying to survive
it also makes finding Oasis that much more of a contrast
MUCH better holy SHIT
FUCK Todd
Why does every Gamebryo game have this? Fallout 3 has a vomit filter and NV has a piss filter.
Skyrim is also grungy green and the SE had a piss filter instead.
I think they're trying for the Interstellar vibes/color scheme. Weird.
Garfield is just Fallout 4 in space.
Looks like a ps4 game
Runs like Fallout 4 on PS3

>It does have the best quest design of any previous Bethesda title
>It does have animation tools available in Creation Kit
>It does have the Game of the Year award sitting in Todd's office
reminder that Todd hates his family and all of his games will either feature spouses dying or having the ability to marry and start over
SPACE WAIFU SIMULATOR LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>It does have classic stats
>It does have skills and the most perks of any previous Bethesda title
>It does have space flight with a fully customizable ship and crew
>It does have a silent protagonist
>It does have an improvement on Oblivion's persuasion system
True.
>It does have to send Obsidian fanboys seething and desperately coping about Outer Worlds
Outer Worlds is not a high bar.
>It does have to put Star Citizen whales on suicide watch
They already were.
>Sure, but what's the point of exploring them
Your kind wouldn't understand.
Not an answer. There is no sense of wonder and adventure when walking around a virtual map you already know has nothing of note in it compared to getting to explore a new land in real life.
>floating into the unknown
>food rations low
>engines running on empty
>only planet near by is full of angry aliens
make us proud space cowboy
>what's the point of exploring them
KEK
irl nature is beautiful, bethesda games are not. Walking/ hiking is fun, holding W is not. Walking/ hiking is also good exercise, sitting in your gaymer chair is not. Climbing mountains makes sense, playing bethesdaslop does not.
>Why the fucc do white gamers explore games? Theirs nothing up their
This is you
please do not insult mountain climbing by comparing it to a shithesda game
Please try being white
You first, pedro
Skyrim looks stunning with mods
once, youtube was recommending me this japanese streamer who was playing for anim looking game with a big booba girl. I, of course, clicked on the link and it was a good 5 min before i realized he was playing Skyrim, with so many mods it was virtually unrecognizable.
See
Walking around in empty areas is not appealing in a video game unless you have a mental disorder. It is in no way comparable to actually climbing a mountain or exploring somewhere yourself.
This. Video games will never capture the feeling of exploring nature so it's retarded to try and justify exploring planet that we know will be empty.
>Comparing mountain climbing to holding W and spamming jump to awkwardly scale up a cliffside
You claim to be white but you have the IQ of a moron.
You inability to think in abstract says the same about you.
There's nothing abstract about it retard. You cannot compare physically hiking up a mountain to sitting on your ass holding a button.
When have you hiked across the moon?
I haven't obviously, and I never will. But I have hiked shit before and it felt good when I reached the top. A video game cannot emulate that feeling because the only physical action you need to do 9/10 is hold W and maybe occasionally press the jump button.
>Videogames can't emulate physical exertion
Any other big brained revelations you want to share with us peons?
Nope, sorry to have burst your bubble that holding W at your computer to walk up an empty planets mountain isn't actually the same as exploring the world and your entire cope defence of the latest Bethesda trash was retarded.
So you agree with the assertion that mountain climbing is stupid because there's nothing out there, and you'd get the same satisfaction from a treadmill?
>There's nothing abstract about it retard
That's what I said, you can't think in abstract (#1 symptom of low IQ) so you don't see it.
This ape cannot comprehend immersion lmao just give up playing vidya right now I mean what's the point
Shit like that breaks immersion.
Don't expect anything.
You're not white. You're a mutt.
You never climbed a mountain. You played Bethslop.
>a story as interesting and philosophical as Morrowind
lol what the fuck is wrong with bethesda shitters
This, It's sad retards even think Morrowind was philosophical to begin with.
I dont give a single fuck
I will make a Liara mod
I will make an AI copy of her voice
I will make her romanceable
I WILL MAKE HER BREEDABLE
I WILL GET THE PARENTS TRAID
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I WILL MAKE MY PARENTS RAISE MY CHILD WHILE I FUCK AROUND IN SPACE
I love how comfy Starfield looks. 🙂
i was actually excited for this game until i saw the gameplay trailer...with fucking Planet "Kings" and shit. it's just skyrim AGAIN but in space. no thank you.
I am ready to be hurt again
It's like those ENB filters that make a game uglier, except it's vanilla and not a mod.
The only space game I can think of that did exploration well is Outer Wilds, mainly because instead of a thousand random planets you have about 6 small ones to explore.
Well Outer Wilds entire thing is exploration. You don't really get any new items or equipment or anything, you just learn how to deal with problems. If you knew what to do and where to go you could beat the game in your first attempt.
yeah, same issue with Fallout.
I hate volumetric fog
>it's not literally real life 0/10 shit game
I wanted Starfield to be a success to kill off Star Citizen once and for all, but I know that's not going to happen. It's going to be yet another clearly incomplete absurd jankyness of game that will make everyone question whether AAAs are viable again (and will use the new Zelda as an example of an exception to the rule). The mechanics are going to be shallow as fuck to appeal to the most casual audience possible. This game will be an embarrassment.
>Skyrim - beautiful fantasy landscape
>Fallout - junk yard
>Starfield - wasteland
Todd doubters will feel ashamed of their words and deeds
sci fi will always be cooler than fantasy shit. sorry chud.
imagine like a skyrim game that wasnt fucking nord gay land, and actually comfy, with forests and trees, and log cabins and an actual good storyline that isnt a gimmick, with goblins and traditional monsters rather than fucking 99% undead draugr every 5 seconds
Have you heard of Oblivion anon???
He's taking the piss because he isn't very funny.
>Nobody asked for this
why do people keep using this phrase
do you realize how dumb you sound?
>Nobody asked for this
I did, I personally asked Todd to make me a kino space RPG and he's delivering
You've got five games to go back and play, it's time for sci-fi chads (who asked for this) to play Todd's magnum opus which he had been waiting to make for 20 years.
>without my greens I can't
Shitfield
Scatfield
Shartfield
Coomfield
Poopfield
Toddfield
Based.
have a nice day you attention whore.
I won't kill myself.
Who else going full space truckan build?
Just play the 5 other space trucker games that exist. You'd get a full-er experience.
Already have, gay. Now I want Todd's space trucking game.
Names of the other 5?
I'm not playing this trash period.
Yes you are, gay. That's why you're here.
Have they released a 'first five minutes' video yet?
They've done something similar during the gameplay reveal but it was heavily edited. If they are going to do one, it will be at the Starfield showcase next month.
every screenshot and trailer for this looks like the ice planet from interstellar
I don't know what it is about it but I fucking love the ice planet shots in the trailers.
if they're smart the showcase will highlight the wide variety of biomes and climates you can experience in those hundreds of planets
if the world generation is decent enough this could be the ultimate game for people who enjoy exploring and hunting for the ideal spot to build a home or town
conversation about this game could last years with people sharing new unique places they found
the modding scene will only enhance this
people love "epic" and hype trailers
I don't understand why Starfield promos are so safe and calm
Skyrim and Elden Ring sold gajillion copies because their promo material doubled down on the games being le epic grand adventures
Sci-fi media doesn't use the same tone that fantasy does. Heroism takes a back seat to discovery.
Halo?
Mass Effect?
It's not a hard and fast rule that every Sci-fi needs to adhere to in the exact same way. Star Wars is obviously so much different tone wise than Star Trek and a whole lot of Sci-fi still needs their heroes. Still, check out the advertisements for those, especially Halo 3. Music choice is one of the most important factors. They have a different feeling than their fantasy counterparts, and that feeling is something Sci-fi cultivates often. Hell, one of them straight up starts with "You wonder what's out there?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaUU7TtAm5c
>those trailers
Fucking hell. Why can't we have sci-fi kino like that anymore? I don't remember being excited for a game in that setting for years. Nowadays it's all fantasy, modern day or near future.
I prefere to easily find the ideal spot for my base so I can start building early.
I know Bethesda isn't known for those specific concepts.
its just fallout 4 with some mods
>thread about video games
>chud jannies delete it
meanwhile I see a daily spam thread and plenty of off topic threads still up
>discussing video games on Ganker
What do you expect?
Honestly, I lost any hope when a thread get automatically auto-sage for having the word chud in the topic post.
That's for the best, any thread with that in it clearly won't be about videogames.
