I played a fair bit, but never did end up finishing it. It was a thoroughly "good" experience for the most part. Perfectly fine, had some memorable moments, everything was just about at the level of quality you'd expect for it.
It just never went above and beyond and became "great" or anything, so my enthusiasm sorta petered out.
The combat system has a ton of mechanics, but I don't think any of them are developed quite enough for my liking, which was my biggest gripe. You have a ton of things you can do that are entirely separate from one another, and none of them are individually developed enough to be truly engaging on their own, I found. It's a decent combat system, but it definitely leaned on the quantity over quality side of things.
Certainly a very flashy game, though. Grab it for twenty, maybe thirty, bucks and see if it sticks. Wouldn't bother with it at any price above that.

It was fun but the battles toward the end of the game are full of tedious hp sponges that don't stagger. In the final dungeon I ran from everything and spammed the tranformation move on everything that I couldn't run from. I'd wait until its 30.
