I cannot imagine a bigger meaningless timesink than a mobile game. Even watching a fucking video how to make macaroni and chees on YouTube would be less counterproductive than a timesink like a mobile game. They're not even fun?
>I cannot imagine a bigger meaningless timesink than a mobile game.
I like melvor idle because its completable, theres no exponential nonsense, and its literally just the grind of runescape but passive. Playing melvor has made me realise that runescape is a fucking insane timesink and its crazy that people have gotten to level 120 in even a single skill in runescape.
How long would it take me to see the sights that this game has to show me? The trailer honestly made it look really interesting, but for some reason I suspect that I'm not going to find clicking cookies very enjoyable.
>see the sights
Depends entirely on how much you idle vs. actively play and what your goal is. You can unlock pretty much all of the unique game mechanics in a few days, but grinding to 100% achievements takes months, minimum
>but grinding to 100% achievements takes months, minimum
It takes at least one year, because of the achievement that you get after playing for one year. Realistically though, unless you're actively playing and clicking golden cookies, it's going to take several years.
You only have to spend like 5 minutes actually clicking the cookie, after that you let it idle in your browser and come back every hour to buy upgrades
Forgot the name, but does anybody remember the browser game with locusts which did a similar thing? Like which was a bit relevant like 6 years ago, and didn't have fancy graphics
Damn, started replaying it for some nostalgia, just got to the point where I realize they added goddamn micro transactions to a really basic game, shame to see it fucking everywhere
for me it's universal paperclips. you get the thrill of exponential growth with a somewhat interesting story the drones adopting a poet warrior culture is kino and it doesn't overstay its welcome as you can complete it in a day
Mine Defense is one of my favorites and I don't think I've ever seen it discussed. It's got a bunch of weird mechanics and ideas.
http://scholtek.com/minedefense
What you want to do is click a golden cookie. Then spawn 2 more golden cookies with the wizard tower minigame.(Use the spell that reduces failure rate). Until you stack building bonus, 7x, and 777x clicking power. Spam click. Only way to reasonably get the higher tier upgrades late game.
underwhelming >Development going forward will focus on adding minigames to existing buildings (in theory)
well so far the "minigames" are pretty fucking bad so I hope there's more involved shit like real dungeons so active play has any incentive whatsoever
I like it. I'm usually a failure at everything in my life, but cookie clicker makes me feel I achieved something. Every time I see my cookies grow I feel so good about myself
I get obsessed with this game for like a week and then drop it for around 5 years
getting (you) was a nice closure for this time and I'll probably come back when (if) they add dungeons
I lost my save of 7-8? years when I got a new compouter, forgot to copy my save before formatting the old sdd, don't remember how many cookies I had but I had all the achievements at the time, and I think I also had the ascension tree compelte as well.
Now I play Infinite Hero instead, since this past summer.
I hate this game
I got to near the end at it was pissing me off how slow your progress is so I just finished it with cheating
Stupid fucking idle games that require thousands of hours to complete fuck these games
>playing the beta on the website version years ago

congratulations
have a cookie
wrong
kys you use cheats
Wrong. Although where I am is pretty much as high as you can get in mobile right without waiting for ages.
The fuck is 3.60c and 112.80No? I assume less then 49.454 Trevigintillion.
3.6 Oc is 3.6e+27

Play this instead

this one is amazing, it's a pity it'll never be finished.

For me it's Antimatter Dimensions
AD is a lot of fun. I got filtered by the skill tree at some point so I stopped, but I still think about some of the batshit news tickers.
Game.RuinTheFun();
nothing personnel kiddo
Forgot the name, but does anybody remember the browser game with locusts which did a similar thing? Like which was a bit relevant like 6 years ago, and didn't have fancy graphics
Swarm Simulator?
Ah yes that's the one. Thanks anon
Damn, started replaying it for some nostalgia, just got to the point where I realize they added goddamn micro transactions to a really basic game, shame to see it fucking everywhere
yeah that's always gay when i see it, it's the exact same predatory "do you really want to wait?" shit from farmville
for me it's universal paperclips. you get the thrill of exponential growth with a somewhat interesting story the drones adopting a poet warrior culture is kino and it doesn't overstay its welcome as you can complete it in a day
Any good obscure clicker games on Steam, bros? Feels like I've played most of the more popular ones at this point.
I feel like once you've played Cookie Clicker, Universal Paperclips, Candy Box 1 & 2, and Clickpocalypse II you've played them all
Idle Spiral
Leaf Blower Revolution
Realm Grinder
these are the ones I've enjoyed the most
Mine Defense is one of my favorites and I don't think I've ever seen it discussed. It's got a bunch of weird mechanics and ideas.
http://scholtek.com/minedefense
Antimatter Dimensions is the GOAT
one bazillion times more engaging than cookie clicker
You can't get more obscure than 苗床クリッカー
>Read 苗床
>think womb immediately
I hate how hentai manga has corrupted me.
It's not all Steam stuff, but: https://plaza.dsolver.ca/games
Also this one which I think is still being worked on: https://plaza.dsolver.ca/games/theory-of-magic
Without Grandmapocolypse. Too scary
oh hey i still have my save from 3 years ago
am i doing good? i dont know anymore. im just idlemaxxing these days.

that sounds like too much work. slow and steady wins the race.
I won doing basically that.
(you)
>You
is that the new building? literally just (You)? I thought the idleverse thing alredy kind of covered that
Yes, it's also the last building type planned. Development going forward will focus on adding minigames to existing buildings (in theory)
Too bad dungeons will never come. At best a crappy minigame for the mines
underwhelming
>Development going forward will focus on adding minigames to existing buildings (in theory)
well so far the "minigames" are pretty fucking bad so I hope there's more involved shit like real dungeons so active play has any incentive whatsoever
Do it atleast once. The first time dopamine hit is insane.
>go to check on my game
>it's fucking gone
NOW I'M FUCKING PISSED
It wasn't the best save but it was like six years old and it was MINE dammit
WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
this game succesfully dedeated me. the garden grind and the golden cookie grind are just too much even when I use a mod that automates them both
ugly cookie
whats the matter anon? a little zebra cock too much for you to handle?
I can't be bothered to care about cookie clicker anymore. idle/clicker games are so fucking boring
I like it. I'm usually a failure at everything in my life, but cookie clicker makes me feel I achieved something. Every time I see my cookies grow I feel so good about myself
I get obsessed with this game for like a week and then drop it for around 5 years

I'm stuck at the 300 tredecillion cps.
time to ascend
been a while
I lost my save of 7-8? years when I got a new compouter, forgot to copy my save before formatting the old sdd, don't remember how many cookies I had but I had all the achievements at the time, and I think I also had the ascension tree compelte as well.

how does the game keep track of cookies above a billion
dunno, i've never made it over a million
what do you mean?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-precision_floating-point_format
tl;dr - basically scientific notation
>niggas never heard of Synergism
for me? Anti-Idle
Yall are little babies. Watch this
>mfw they removed the save scum exploit
