Don't bother. Halo was never good and only appealed to an audience that didn't know any better. At this point there are significantly better fps' out by now, triple a or indie. Going back to any of the halos is just going to feel archaic and outdated.

Unless you are willing to get a 1st generation Xbox and a copy of the game the MCC is the best way to play. It's essentially the whole series in a single game. Don't listen to the Black folk telling you to skip CE, always play games in order of release starting with the first entry.

Ignore the shit heads guy, the first 3 games are worth playing, get MCC if you want a convenient way to play all 3, tho for 1 and 2 switch to classic graphics mode and music to get the authentic experience, 343 made some ugly changes to the anniversary editions

i did that a year ago and i regret it.
incredibly mediocre games, with quite possibly the gayest looking and sounding aliens and guns i ever seen.
worst level design i ever suffered in an FPS, too.
its also the slower FPS game you will ever get to play.
