I just want to play video game, bros. Why i cant play video games. Everytime i tried i always dropped it after 1 hour. Is this because im over 30 years old ? is this really over for me ??
I just want to play video game, bros. Why i cant play video games. Everytime i tried i always dropped it after 1 hour. Is this because im over 30 years old ? is this really over for me ??
Nah bru it just sounds like you're playing shit games.
what kind of games are you trying to play?
After seeing FF7R - 2 gameplay i got the urge to play FF7 PS1 but i dropped it after i blown up the Mako reactor. I really dont know why i dropped it. I want to play it but i just cant
try playing a good game instead
Such as ?
you just answered yourself, there a no good games left. It's time to move on and find something else to do. People here are nothing but miserable slobs who refuse to accept reality.
But i tried to play FF7 PS1 not FF7 Remake
play urban reign on the ps2 right now
my man, even when I browse the old games, I think about the avg hours it'll take to complete and to get to the best bits. Truth is, we're all probably mind fucked for attention span, so maybe try a shorter more acadey game or short platformer game. RPGs are a slog when you get old.
It's not even that hard. Turn your phone off and put it in another room, goddamn grown man acting like a iPad kid.
you don't get to post here and act superior
I wish I knew what to tell you, man. I've been doing that for the past few months and I've been absolutely knocking out games and having fun.
thx for the yous, no idea what part of my post implied i touch my phone even once during the day or that i don't game for any extended period of time... but i know it's just baiting.

EPIC TROLLZ FOR TEH WINRAR!

>you don't get to post here and act superior
I actually do. "You are here forever" never meant you will be a pathetic gay your whole life. Some of us normied up and enjoy it. Life is so much better without all the self loathing. Try it.
This but unironically. Normie life is actually pretty good. Not constantly hating everything that passes by because it's not esoteric enough for you is a recipe for misery.
If you're referring to entertainment standards (which seems to be the thread's original implication), none of us can actively control such things; preferences change organically, over time.
I have highly discriminating taste and highly sensitive critical faculties across all media. The way you phrased it is hyperbolic, of course, but even the extent to which I do analyze entertainment is a terrible nuisance, and I very much sympathize with OP -- we can't just make ourselves more vacuous at will. Sometimes I wish I could, believe me.
That said... In spite of myself and at the risk of seeming even more insufferable, I can't deny a certain intellectual pride in being so selective. I confess that I feel somewhat more sophisticated for it.
I'm fucking better than you. I spent my youth grinding in MMOs. I don't have a goldfish attention span like you zoomers. I literally play sandbox games and make up my own story to make it fun. We are not the same.
Maybe stop playing games for little girls and preteen boys who were molested by their uncle.
maybe stop playing boring trash
Such as ?
the entire RPG genre is designed to waste your time. with very few exceptions.
if you haven't played picrel yet, I would recommend it.
Come back to it tomorrow night. Then the night after. I notice as i got older I had a harder time starting games like that, but after a few sessions I'm invested and I can enjoy them for the full playthrough
Seconding this. Getting started with a game is the hardest part these days. But once I'm in, if it's a game I resonate with, I'll play whenever I can and enjoy the ride.
This was my experience with Master Detective Rain Code on Switch recently.
I dropped FF7 on the fort condor mini game. I just couldn't be bothered trying to complete it because it wasn't fun. I might go back and try to finish it eventually. But there are some weak points in that game.
When i was 20 i finished FF8 with every single side quest and unmarked sidequest. I know theres something wrong with me
That's one of the quickest, easiest, and most forgettable parts of the game. How could you possibly start it and not immediately finish and move on?
>How could you possibly start it and not immediately finish and move on?
The instructions for it were too long for me to memorize and i just brute force skipped all of text with button mashing. Tried to doing it without that knowledge and then had no idea what was going on and quit. I'm just not a fan of the stupid mini games and it was getting on my nerves that they kept putting that shit in the game. Even if i had really bothered i knew i was in for much more of it. It was like lack of will at that point i guess.

Sounds like a problem with your concentration ~desu~ Have you tried Bupropion?
It's great! I play all my autism simulators for hours on end with it...
But yeah. As a 30 year old man I've got my problem with more action-oriented games.
>crys about not being able to play games
>admits to playing AAA garbage, a literal remake of an old classic because the company is creatively bankrupt
Play some good vidya instead, I don't know what you like and judging by your posts, you don't either. Here are some of my favorite games, play them instead.
Redpill me on Doom Eternal.
Would I like it even I don't like Doom 2016?
Depends on why you didn't like Doom 2016, but in terms of FPS gameplay it can't be beat. Ya like going fast? Ya like verticality in fps? Ya like action games with depth in combat? Ya want to skip all cutscenes and only have raw gameplay? Ya like innovative systems that the game teaches you properly every step of the way? Ya like a game with difficulty that expects you the player to actually learn how to play and git gud at it?
Then play Eternal.
One of the few games where the lead director can beat his own game on the highest difficulty and even live streamed it, did optional master levels too. He plays tough games like Sekiro etc. Its a gamers game and way better than 2016 IMO. Great games are made because the creators actually understand vidya games, the problem with AAA garbage is that the devs don't play video games, they watch movies instead.
>Depends on why you didn't like Doom 2016
I probably didn't spend too much time on it to judge accurately, but I remember the shooting to be boring. I ended up just swapping weapons like in one of those Doom eternal video, and I find that fun, but the enemies die to any weapons, so I just drop it. I gonna give it another try.
>but the enemies die to any weapons
Yeah play Eternal then, Doom 2016 was a beta version of Eternal where the gameplay was left rather safe because at the time people didn't think singleplayer FPS games could do well. For Eternal they were basically give pure freedom to make the best game they could, 2016 feels insanely slow and boring after you play Eternal.
>a literal remake of an old classic
NTA, i liked the remake more. I'm not as fond of FF7 like everyone else is and i considered it to be boring. That's probably heresy among you JRPG enjoyers but i don't care. That game never stuck with me. The fact that you got to explore midgar past a few scenes in the original always got on my nerves.
>you JRPG enjoyers
I find them boring actually, I was only saying that he was playing what is equivalent of SE's "break this glass if we can't sell games anymore" emergency kit.
I always preferred IX myself. Although I think FF games are always sold on their godly OST rather than gameplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOil57eSiOM
It can't be. I'm 37 and I've been playing video games for the last three (3) hours. It may be because you are gay.
try space station 13 over at /vg/
Try multiplayer games with friends and family. I felt like you for like 15 years, but as soon as my niece and nephew got old enough to play games I bought a Switch and now I'm back into gaming. I play games with them all the time now and I realized gaming by yourself is just pathetic. Think of all your greatest videogame-related memories and you'll notice they are all from playing with other people.
It's probably because you're not feeding yourself well, you're likely using a phone for half the day, you never just sit there in silence for 10 minutes to reset your brain, your sleep habits are probably shit, and you've also likely killed your attention span with shortform media. Even if you only do half of those things, it's no fucking wonder you can't focus and enjoy something, you've fragmented your brain so much that it's screaming at you to get more sleep, give it proper food, take time to just do nothing, etc; This isn't even some gay mental health bit, it's called just being fucking attentive to what your body needs, except too many people stack a ton of stupid shit onto their mind to ever pay attention. Go for a fucking walk, no music, no podcast. FUCK.

Yeah, it is. Imagine being 35 because you'll be there before you know it. Thanks for the pepe.
That's called depression. Try taking some stimulants or even some Xanax.
~~*Xanax*~~, you say?
It's a legitimate drug (I have a prescription). Just because some degenerate rappers use and abuse it doesn't make it any less useful.
I know, I'm messing with you. But you hit the nail right on the head, it gets abused and overprescribed. Very few people honestly need it, but it works miracles for those who do.
Needing a drug to "feel normal" is what makes people alcoholics and junkies in the first place.
You are very unintelligent.
Okay junkie
cope as much as you like you are still a worthless pharma slave, the best kind of goy, fucking waste of life.
Can confirm when I drink alcohol I think "this is how I should feel all the time, this is what it's like to feel normal". I quit drinking for a few months but am back to it. Everyone says all these changes you see but if you have nothing to begin with you still have nothing after, alcohol or not. I still eat good and exercise, but I didn't have that "I'ma get drunk tonight" factor to motivate me to keep putting one foot in front of the other and also didn't have the motivation of "I got drunk and ate a fuck ton last night I need to hit the bike hard today" motivation factor either.
>but you'll destroy your body and die sooner
Good, I have nothing to live for either, I'm 5'5 135 and ugly people look at my like I'm a fucking monster and find it acceptable to film me in public when I'm shopping. With that being said I really don't have a reason to die either, shit sucks man.
In 10 years time your life might still be just as shit except now you're broke because you can literally not go a couple hours without a drink or you're shaking like Michael J Fox in a blizzard.
Kek. I can't wait for you to turn 60, end up in chronic pain, and start acting like taking morphine or hydrocodone doesn't make you an addict. Suddenly when you're suffering the same things you laugh at others for, it isn't funny anymore.
>Depression
>stimulants or xanax
none of this give any effect on depression you fucking fagot. depression is lack of serotonin why the fuck would you want noradrenaline? xanax is for people who are suicidal to the point they prefer to feel nothing at all than suffer. so how is that going to help op that wants to feel vidya soul?

I'm trans btw
>I'm trans btw
Don't worry sweaty, it doesn't matter 🙂
Do you play games from different genre's and try out new things, or just stick with the 400 hour single player time sink shit?
When's the last time you played a modern 2d game, tried to get better at something your not familiar with (like a fighting game), or played a game that could be beaten in under 10 hours.
NTA (obviously, because he probably posted and closed out to go jerk off or swipe TikTok for 30 minutes), but I recently replayed Pikmin and took 2 days off of my previous score, I was pretty happy about that.
Good for you anon. Challenging yourself is a great way to stay engaged for more than 1 hour. Unlike OP.
Thanks, other anon. For anyone else reading and with OP's problem, setting your own subgoal of sorts does help to keep playing. Sometimes it really is just a case of "it gets fun X hours in" and trying to play a game differently than intended or reaching a score helps to get it going.
I'm 37 and been playing games all days. I think you may have depression or something
Are you on pc or something? Buy a console.
Does it even matter ?
>Buy a console.
Why would buying a console change anything? they stopped mattering post PS2. Only zoomers still buy into the whole consoles matter shit.
Consoles > PC and I'm 35
>I'm 35
And clinically brain dead at your age. What's your reasoning for it? in every instance of where a port was considered bad for PC, there's a good chance the console versions weren't flawless either.
Consoles are cheaper, hassle free, have exclusives, better online communities, better customer service, better controllers. You don't need anything other than whatever piece of shit laptop you have lying around to play every PC exclusive. Building a PC is a waste of money. $300 console gets you 1080p/4k and 60fps in 2023. Diminishing returns render PCs useless unless you're a hacker
>have exclusives
Maybe you're forgetting that Sony started putting their games on steam. Microsoft were never as strict with their games on the other hand. If you're a nintendo player then your argument has some weight i suppose. But emulation is a thing, not that i really care.
>better online communities
That's where you lose me, all of the most niche online games survive on PC, not console. I still play games with server browsers and i consider those to be reliable compared to match making.
>Consoles are cheaper
Can't relate over the money thing, I'm always willing to put in the money for the top experience. Unless gaming isn't your main hobby then i can see why you'd not want to go all in for it.
>Maybe you're forgetting that Sony started putting their games on steam. Microsoft were never as strict with their games on the other hand. If you're a nintendo player then your argument has some weight i suppose. But emulation is a thing, not that i really care.
Long way around saying "that doesn't count".
>That's where you lose me
Hackers. Enjoy them.
>I'm always willing to put in the money for the top experience
Then it's curious why you willingly bar yourself from playing certain games because they aren't on PC. There are games that don't exist on PC. You do know this right?
Other way around really once all PC focused genres started dieing out in the late 2000s. Now there really is no console/pc difference, they are both just machines that play mostly the same exact games.
>all PC focused genres started dieing out in the late 2000s
You'd be right about some genres. Not Strategy though, that's still going quite strong. What are you referring to specifically? even CRPGs made a comeback.
1 hour is quite a lot
It's because video games won't give you a compelling narrative with a supportive and loving spouse like you desire in the real world. It's all just a distraction.
Thats why we must destroy that desire.
>30 y/o AND a reddit frog poster

Frog is the xD equivalent
Don't know what you're crying about. I just played through REV2 and that game stinks.
>Everytime i tried i always dropped it after 1 hour
Find something more simple to get invested in. 3D platformers are a good sort of middle ground for pure enjoyment factor and they can keep you going for a while despite often being simplistic.
time goes faster as you get older, hours feel like minutes as you tick closer to death, your patience wears thinner
I have dozens of games installed at any given time and I drop them at the slightest inconvenience
I keep telling myself I'll complete them eventually but it never happens. The last game I completed though was elden ring, and I'm excited for the dlc. I just have to feel like the game is worthwhile, most games don't feel like that, or I already thoroughly experienced them
>I'm weeks to turn 31.

Try taking a break, do something else, cut out bad shit like phones and internet from you life, quit job you hate, exercise and go out more, socialize more. When you game again give things a chance you would never have before. That's what worked for me at least.
most based and rational poster on this board and, Allah forgive me, possibly this site right now.
>Allah forgive me,
I swear to christ you mudslimes are cringey little shits
Gigabased. Feels good to get back from a run, have a shower and eat, then sit down for an hour or two of vidya.
I think as an adult the role of games changes. As a kid they're the highlight of your day and you can't wait to be playing them. When you're a bit older it becomes more balanced. You play an hour and happily drop it, then come back to it a couple of days later and play another 30 minutes.
The problem was that you weren't happy. It's not really about exercise or phone use. Some people might be miserable from exercise, others are happy with internet access. The key is to find happiness, but it's literally the thing philosophers from Ancient Greece have been trying to figure out. Easier said than done.
35 yo dimentia riddle ancient boomer reporting in, and I know that feel. Recently played armored core, interesting enough but got monotonous after like 2 hours, dropped it and havent felt like coming back to it since. I'm excited about cyberpunk, looking forward to spending several hours next thursday in that.
Also games just feel like giant distractions now. I could be...building shit, or getting certifications, or fuck even getting better at skateboarding. Games do absolutely nothing aside from waste your time. Some try to make you feel like beating their difficulty wall is an accomplishment, but at the end of the day its just an insidious distraction, not too different than gacha shit or rng ARPG's in a way.
I try to make shit or learn shit, but i suck as at them which makes me depressed so i go back to games which make me feel joy.
Let me guess. You sit down for 25 minutes and the first time you don't understand something, you quit?
No more like ive sat down for the last 15 years for 30mins to an hour daily trying to practice something or study information and my piece of shit brain refuses to retain useful information or improve the quality of my work in any degree as to actually make me proud of my accomplishments and push me to go further with them. To attempt to improve is just suffering for my brain and constant mental reinforcement of how shit i am. My efforts disgust me.
Well that certainly is vexing. I am sorry for being an ass towards you. Sometimes just enjoying it for what it is is enough. I'm plenty happy doodling stupid stick figures. Best of luck to you, whether you keep rolling the boulder or find your contentness some other way.
You're saying you haven't learned a single new thing in 15 years? I'm 100% certain that's not the case. In reality learning is pain. It's harder for some but it is always painful. Pushing through that shows minor gains and it's only when you've been suffering for years that you can look back and see all the progress. I challenge you to do to Duolingo and learn a new language. You don't have to do anything more than 1 lesson a day (5mins) and you can quite literally see your progress.
Everyone starts out as shit anon, that's just the way it goes. However, if you try it again, and avoid the mistakes you made the first time, you get better. Repeat until mastery.
Failing is a good thing, it means more opportunities to learn.
Videogames are alright, i can still immerse myself in them and have a good time. Liking SOMA so far.
What i actually need is a close friend... 🙁
You can't be a kid forever.
If you can't enjoy games like an adult you never grew up in the first place.
You are just retarded I'm also 30, and I literally finished Holocure a few moments ago, I'm looking for new vidya to play now.
Do you work? If you dont do some push ups some chores forget about video games for some moments you need some restraint
>Do you work
Yes
As with all problems in life it all comes back to wageslaving. You can’t enjoy games now as an adult because every time you play you subconsciously think about how you have work the next day and you shouldn’t be wasting your time on vidya. You should be out making money, or looking for a GF, or taking care of your health. You can’t enjoy it because you aren’t where you need to be in life to enjoy it, but you keep trying to play because it helps you relieve the stresses of life and deep down you know you’ll never make it so may as well enjoy some vidya now while you can.
How does one kill that sense of needing to "accomplish" something or be at a certain point in one's life and just be free to exist without burdens?
Just stop being autistic and accept that once you die, all the shit you did dies with you.
Not as that if it literally vanishes or anything, if you build a house the house stays even after you die, but rather than on your end everything is over and in due time even that house will be either destroyed or remodeled so much all your work will actually vanish.
That's right, be a little bit more nihilist.
The real way to delete all anxiety about "muh adulting" if you're a Westerner is to read up on transcendentalism, be it through Whitman, Dickens, Thoreau or any other classic American author. Sprinkle in some daoism and maybe check out one of Cal Newport's self help books. Above all else, meditate often and practice a minimalist lifestyle.
As stupid and tacky as this sounds it's like fucking cheat codes to achieving personal enlightenment in the world today.
It's got nothing to do with age. Your brain develops a resistance to chemicals like drugs that effect it. You have developed a resistance to dopamine because you are constantly receiving it via addictive reward systems online. This could be from social media (such as this very website), porn, or addictive video games like freetoplay garbage.
If you just stay off the internet cold turkey for 2 days I guarantee your love of video games and many other things will be rekindled as your brain adjusts to having normal levels of dopamine again.
I really can't understand people at my age still being trapped in nostalgia. There's a place for old games still being present in the industry sure, but wanting to continually relive your childhood over and over again and not try new experiences is something i will never relate with.
Otoh I'm playing old games that I couldn't play before is a blast.

Fix you attention span
You have been neglecting something in your life for too long.
Your subconscious knows it needs immediate attention, so when you play vydia you slowly lose interest.
If everything in your life is in balance then there may be something else at play. Like an internal biological clock thing.
>Is this because im over 30 years old ?
Nah skill issues, I’m 31 and still play games for hours at a time.
I probably won't ever be satisfied with gaming unless AAA brings back Thief and tries to right the wrongs of the 2014 game.
yes, now get married, raise some brats and work until you're old and gray
I'm 33 and anytime I try and play something other than a VN and my normal gacha I just get an overwhelming sense of despair until I close the game. I don't even bother with new shit anymore.
I'm gonna use a tard food analogy, but bear with me:
Playing vidya is like eating food in that your tastes change with time. You should try different things every now and then, there's different genres and you can grow tired of ones and develop a crave for others and not even realize it's the case, if you're not having fun with RPGs try FPS games, if you're not having fun with Strategy try platformers, so on and so forth.
Try diversifying your hobbies. Pick up reading, or maybe something creative. You dont even have to be good at it, just try something new. Go for a walk, start exercising. More than likely your brain is just sort of sick of games and if you do something new and exciting then return it will enjoy vidya again.
Stop playing new games and play stuff from your childhood for a bit to get back into the swing of things.
Stuff you're already familiar with, I mean.
Don't feel bad, at least you're ahead of me since you still want to play video games. I've stopped buying and pirating video games (except ones my friends shill to me for co-op) since nothing looks interesting or worthwhile.
I want to die but i cant

This. Frogposting is just a gang sign for reject male youth. If you are in your 20s or god forbid 30s and 40s and still posting tranime children and frogs cope there never was hope for you to begin with.

Yes. You might enjoy more than you initially did.

When you reach your late 20s vidya stops working as a cope for the most part. That's your mind telling you should reach more heights and pursue another life.
I can't give any advice but you can be assured that you're not alone!
Good luck out there my man!

First of all: What do you even want out of a video game?
This alone will give you a 99 % likeliness to find the video game you want.
>you just want a visual fantasy game that looks "like the Tolkien books" with romance options?
Baldur's Gate 3 it is
>you want a brainless online shooter to just let off some steam?
Overwatch 2 competitive it is
>you want to enjoy some universe exploration?
Starfield it is
>you want to experience a "school life in Japan"?
Persona 5 it is
Sure, the more accurate you describe what you want, the better of a recommendation you can get.
There are games for everyone and if you say you are "unhappy" with your game, just look at how literal boomers love Solitaire. And yes, it's as much a game as any other.
That's the point. Don't play games because they are hyped. Play games that fit your interests. Sometimes a AAA game is exactly not for you and maybe even a 20 year old game is the best fit for you.
There are for example still people who play WoW classic, even though this game is nearly 20 years old. This alone should show you that there are games for you, you are just not looking at the right games
Imagine having such shit and shallow taste in games that the only thing you can recommend is current year AAA slop.
Use a joystick. I use to drop ganes with less than 1 hour too playing with mouse and keyboard
Stop playing games you don't like then, retard.
If the game doesn't hook you in in the first hour, might as well as drop it for another.
T. found my love for cities skyline after dropping SIfu.
when you get old you just get this feeling of existential dread when you play games that makes you want to stop. At least I do. I dont think I'd enjoy them less if not for that

If the game doesn't have cute girls I lose interest after a couple minutes.
I've been marathoners some two games for days now. Pretty satisfied with gaming right now, especially this year. I do feel like OP occasionally, I don't think it's abnormal.
I unironically had sex with a girl and vidya got way better than me a few hours later. Usually I would think Starfield is goyslop, but to be honest, its pretty damn fun after you get that release inside.

You may have some kind of mental illness. I was diagnosed with neurosis, as it turned out my brain was overclocking so hard I needed only the most stimulating games to get unbored. I've been taking meds for a week and I feel a little better, been playing world of warcraft classic era, gonna try to get to 60 for the first time
what kind of meds?
Abilify, an anti-psychotic, I had a psychotic episode after an acid trip so that's why I'm taking these specifically.
I know what you feel, try choosing one that you think it's going to be good and force yourself to go through it. Forcing yourself sounds bad, but it will help you put your mind in the right place
play in full screen and turn off 2nd monitor if you're on PC
or turn off PC and play on console
guessing you're just getting easily distracted from social media algorithm dopamine brainrot
>or turn off PC and play on console
u wot m8??
This question gets asked all the time on every board. The answer is almost always: you’re depressed. Ganker culture treats mental health as though you’re a pussy for acknowledging it because everyone here is cucked by boomers, but the bottom line is if you can sit still and play a game for an hour and have fun, you either don’t enjoy videogames anymore, or you’ve got a physiological inhibition to dopamine, meaning you’d likely be diagnosed with clinical depression if you spoke to a doctor about how you’re feeling. Try this, OP.
>wake up every day at the same time, earlier enough to cook breakfast before work/school
>eat healthy shit. Don’t just carb pack or eat nothing but meat. You’ll have a hormonal imbalance and be more prone to depression
>exercise every day, even if it’s just going out for a 30 minute walk
>go outside every day, again, even if it’s just a 30 minute walk
>socialize twice a week at least
>try to get some hobbies that aren’t related to vidya, TV, or anything that requires looking at a screen
>stop using social media all the time if you. Delete them if necessary
>stop jerking off all the time if you do
>stop drinking, smoking, and doing drugs
Take steps in that direction, and you won’t be so mindbroken by modernity that you struggle to enjoy playing a bit of mario.
>kept telling friends I was excited for Starfield coming out on Game Pass for over a month
>game comes out
>have only played through the first tutorial mission to joining Constellation
The only game I can sink tons of hours into anymore is Civilization V.
Stop coming here, for once
i'm 32 and have never played games more than I do now.
>Is this because im over 30 years old
No, I'm 36 and am having a blast with FFX-2 because it's great how stupid it is
Happens all the time with me too. Take a break from games then when you go back just give different ones a try until one grabs you. The vast majority of media sucks these days, don't blame yourself for that.
You deserve it, frogtard.
>try new game
Uninstall after 15 minutes to 1 horlur
>play old, familiar game
Play as normal.
Why does this keep happening?
why do people make these embarrassing /LULZ/ so ronery wojaks holy hell see
image then have a nice day you unironic npc
Literally "I'm not like everyone!" behavior. Remember, the same thing happened with anonymous culture a few decades ago when newfags spread it across the internet, trying to claim their unique personality.
second hand embarrassment through association?
Just move on to porn and fap all day like me OP
If you don't know what to play, try taking the modding pill. There is so much great fan stuff that is build and improved upon original games, it's truly amazing:
>Quake - Arcane dimensions, Alkaline
>C&C: Tiberian Sun - Twisted Insurrection
>Heroes of Might and Magic III - Horn of the abyss
>Doom - Ashes 2063, Golden souls
>Fallout 2 - Fallout Nevada
>Red alert 2 - Mental Omega
>Blood - Death Wish
>Dark Souls - Daughters of ash
This is just from the top of my head, enough material to entertain for hours.
welcome to modern gaming, we have
>trash writing, reddit jokes and humor, 4th wall breaking and a narator explaining the entire story to you
>focusing more on cinematic experiences/graphic than gameplay or to have fun
>politics, fags/trannies everywhere
>dlc's, season passes, loot boxes, etc
>trash developers and greedy publishers
i am feeling the same, that's why i don't bother with modern games sometimes, just playing the old ones or emulating
