I seem to only play Open World games myself. Genshin included, of course. Out of all of the ones I played over this last year, Genshin has one of the richest open worlds, full of life and variety of things to do. It being a 4 billion dollar money maker is well deserved.
if i already have xian, the little boy on 3rd, and 5th, who should i get? biedou? yanfe or whatever her name is? the fire catalyst on 2nd to last place?
Check the constellations of the characters you have. And if one of them is super broken, pick them to get that constellation. Otherwise, pick a new character like Yaoyao.
You should also have Xiangling for free already. If not, go find the event with her and do it. She's one of the most broken 4* characters.
Get yanfei if you are trying to get her C4 where she gives your character a shield. She becomes a great pyro support when you do so you don't have to be stuck using bennett. But if you don't have yanfei at all yet I don't recommend getting her for lanturn rite.
I think I'm finally going to splurge my 60k primos I have been saving forever. I want Yelan, Yelan's weapon (though not upset if I get Homa), Hu Tao and probably Alhaitham too.
Try a healer or a shielder (Geo). I felt that stuff like abyss was too hard until I got Noelle. Then it became easy.

That's called difference in wealth. If you have 50k in the bank and like spending 30€ for a nice dinner in front of your favorite show or something, there's no reason someone with 5 millions in the bank can't do the exact same thing but spend 3000€

That's called ignorance and cope. If you think paying 1,5k in microtransactions is ok, when a full game goes for 70 euros, justifiable or as you say it, something a rich should only buy, you are beyond repair. It's not a Michelin 3 star dinner equivalent to buying constellations on a chinese gacha, you are simply moronic and you have not set your priorities straight, or even worse, you don't even have priorities.

I mean I would agree that 4*s released in the last 1-1.5 years are either designed to work only at C6 or not at all but all the launch or near-launch 4*s like Bennett/Xingqiu/Xiangling/Fischl etc. are extremely good.

No, I said the new ones are garbage, which they are. The ones at launch are still really powerful like Xingqiu, Bennet is still good, Diona is playable, stuff like that
You need around 1-2 months of artifact grinding on top of grinding for ascend and talent mats for each character. For dps characters maybe even more. All those "f2p" 4* only challenges you see both on these threads and youtube are carried by 2 and a half years of artifact grinding and C6 of each character of course. Don't take them to heart, the difference between 33 and 36 abyss clears is 50 primogems, it's not worth the months of grinding and even more, it's not worth the money buying/rolling for meta characters that you don't like.

Supports can be built in a few days since you don't need precise stats, just a bit of ER and HP. It's a bit longer if it needs EM

That depends, supports like YunJin that needs only DEF% mainstat sure, you can build her in a day or 2 of artifact grinding. But others that are off field damage dealers like xiangling, xingqiu etc need the dps treatment, rolling for crit substats along with meeting their energy needs.

that's reassuring, is there a guide showing what
good people i should pull for to have the highest power level for the abyss? i already know that artifact farming is a pain and a big part of 36*ing the abyss but for that I have the patience as long as i have a good host of characters
So do I. And I need a break. Not only because I'm burned out, but because I got both Raiden and her weapon on the first try. I've basically used up all my luck.
If it makes you feel any better it took me 162 and 168 rolls to get Nilou and Nahida. And missed other characters entirely. So me getting Raiden and her weapon in such a small amount of rolls was just all my built up luck. I'm sure it won't happen again.
Is EL worth rolling for? I dont care for Raiden and ive gotten all the characters ive wanted by now. So ive moved on to collecting weapons since im just sitting on Primos.
I haven't maxed it out yet. I have to wait until tomorrow for the domain to come up so I can get the masks and max the weapon. But I went for it because, at least based on the item description, it scales her ATK% based on her energy recharge. And energy recharge is the mechanic for her character.
In theory, it should turn Raiden into a strong DPS while also recharging the whole teams energy at the same time. Where if you use any other weapon, you have to prioritize either energy recharge or attack damage. But don't quote me on that. I haven't tested it yet.
As for your primo horde, I'd just sit on them. Wait for whatever next 5* you want and dump them all on that character + their weapon. Rather than going for a weapon for a character you won't use. I wish I had all those extra gems. I would have went for the sword that was on the last banner and made Noelle even more broken.
>I wish I had all those extra gems. I would have went for the sword that was on the last banner and made Noelle even more broken.
thats exactly what i did lol.
Redhorn is Itto's sig weapon but others can take advantage of it like Noelle. thats why i asked about rolling for EL. thought maybe others could use it as well...
>I recently got C6 Noelle
Now IM jealous haha. My Noelle is barely at c3. But my other main Cookie is right where she needs to be; c4. and she's just grand
C2 is better than EL. You only want it for the look, otherwise c2 with the catch í much stringer than c0r1.
Do keep in mind that c0r0 is more than enough
>I literally only play genshin now
Almost all genshin fans only play genshin, that's why they play it. They don't have a frame of reference to realize the gameplay is shit.
All of its fans either didn't play videogames or only played bad games like other gacha garbage or AAA 7th+ gen games and don't know what a real videogame is like.
I've been playing games for 32 years. Genshin is good in some areas (combat, events, exploration) and lackluster in others (story, pacing, mat grinding). But it's still better than most of the JRPGs that have come out in the last decade. If Japan can make a better single player game, I'd gladly stop and play it. Heck, I'm going to take a break from Genshin once Suikoden Remasters and Eiyuden Chronicles come out.
Genshin doesnt take up any of my time so I just do my dailies and then play real games. When I get really into the mood I explore everything but most of the time i'm not.
They hated him because he said the truth. Genshin fans will never directly reference other games, only ever giving vague statements like "it's the best music I ever heard"
>Genshin fans will never directly reference other games
Multiple people already did in this thread. One of the signs of blind hatred is the inability to see arguments that don't line up with your established world view.
Not really. It's the people who sunk all the money into it that will throw a fit. 99% of people don't spend money on it though. And ideally, once the game "ends" they will have an option to download it single player. Though that's a low chance.
>people who sink money into these games do it because they can.
Or because they lack patience. Or because they don't actually play the game. I know multiple people who only log on, spend $2,000 to buy the character and all their constellations, then log off and never actually use them. Meanwhile, us free players have to play the game to build up the gems. Since we're not spending money to get them.
>and it's known for having the most unholy toxic Western fandom.
Nowhere near LoL, FFXIV, Sonic, Melee, Zelda or hell, even Metroid has worse fans. All Genshin fans do is post lewds of the characters. Which 90% of games get the same treatment. By your logic, Hat in Time has the worst fanbase.
I'm talking about outside of here where they're known for sending death threats to half the VAs to the point where EN side doesn't even do collabs anymore while the JP/CN side do. Like one VA got death threats for simply saying she didn't think Childe was a good brother. Or one of their official artists because they drew a character(Albedo I think) and he looked a bit younger than normal so they called the artist a pedophile. That kind of shit happens every month out of the Western side.
This is what happens when your audience is the mainstream zoomer audience. They're used to cancelling people for every slight and the fact that Genshin just straightup ignores them is hilarious.
Oh yeah and let's not forget the Western reaction to first Sumeru leaks and them spending a week freaking out about the archon being a e-girl or the lack of melanin.

That's a problem with dubgays as a fanbase. Not Genshin specifically. English dubs by default are catering to an audience that is intolerant of other languages and cultures. And want everything changed just to fit their sensibilities. This, plus the way the USA/UK are headed culturally, it's not a big shock when they lash out at the developers. Like you said, that doesn't happen to the Japanese or Chinese side (aside from the one Chinese voice actor who got caught with a young girl).

>and? those people compare nowhere near the amount of hate any chinese/korean game/product receives
The frick? people hated on the new pokemon games far more than genshin. In fact, people praise genshin whenever they reset the ingame shop for genesis crystals like a bunch of bootlickers. Every fricking time.
I like the game and I hope it keeps getting hated on so the MHY gets off their high horse and actually make content for the damn game that isn't exploration or moronic narrative/mini-game events.
They have a fun combat system and refuse to capitalize on it.
It's just not easy to make enjoyable combat content.
Make it too difficult and F2P players will seethe because "Mihoyo wants us to spend more money".
Make it too easy and you get what we currently get during events, meaningless combat to earn currency.
One solution would be a roguelite/draft mode like the arena of Hearthstone where your gear and the characters you pulled don't matter.
But then hardcore players will seethe because the artifact they farm don't matter.
I've never said it's easy, but they have the manpower and good enough amount of brains to sperg up something that works.
After all, not only did they do it before in Honkai but also they've already done it IN THIS GAME with events, the problem is that the events didn't last long enough and the level scaling was too low.
Frankly, they don't even have to rewards primogems.
"always useful" stuff like Resin, those artifact XP bottles, XP books and whatnot could even work as rewards, as long as it feels worth the time.
I didn't play Honkai but isn't it very competitive and make you pay to stay up-to-date? That's not what they want to do with Genshin.
I think another factor that decide how important it is for them to make combat content is the feedback system. If 80% players wanted the card game but 20% wanted combat content, they will of course work on the card game first.
>isn't it very competitive and make you pay to stay up-to-date?
The only way I can make an analogy in Genshin terms is that the competitiveness of it extends to the difference in rewards that you get from 33 stars in the abyss as opposed to 36 stars in the abyss. It's more of a time investment, sure, but just like in Genshin, you will have to wait to get good equipment if you don't get lucky either way. That being said, however, imagine that getting to 36 stars gives you more "soft" rewards such as 2 or 3 artifact boxes than giving you more "hard" rewards such as the measly 50 primogems.
Also, the problem with the feedback they're getting with the card game is absolutely skewed and that's not done on purpose or maliciously, is that people had nothing to do apart from exploring new areas that literally anything new they receive is a godsend. Despite the fact that the TCG was, is, and probably will keep being balanced like shit.
A massive proof of this is how much people were excited to play Windtrace again because, despite the rewards, it's something that you can keep doing indefinitely just because it's fun. We get things like that for gimmicks but not for combat, which I think is a shame and a massive waste of the grinding content that we already have for the game.

>Insinuating that making interesting combat encounters requires one to pay.
You have the wrong mindset. What MHY does is make non-interesting, fricking garbage encounters so that in their head the players feel more likely to pay, punishing only F2P people, and making them less likely to pay in the process. if they make the new desert worm part of the abyss, I'll seriously just stop doing it until it cycles
>Make it too difficult and F2P players will seethe because "Mihoyo wants us to spend more money". >Making game is hard
Hmm, if only we didn't tie our combat system directly with our p2w gacha system and everyone can earn or craft all weapons and items through playing the game. Oh wait, that's just every regular RPG and MMO released in the last decade!
Enjoyable combat content isn't "hard", the industry has been doing it for the last 30 years. It's all by design because MHY isn't going to do more than is needed to keep pulling in big bucks from the gacha.

Sorry I just understood what you meant.
Yes the gacha system is a reason the combat can't be too hard. But the gacha is also the reason they get the money to make so much stuff.
How many F2P MMO released in the last 20 years can release a good amount of content every 6-7 weeks? Even if we move away from MMO, the only example I can think of is Path of Exile, but it's every 3 months and it has less content than a Genshin patch.
Add to that, Mihoyo spend an insane amount of money in the game music, releasing concert, inviting popular singers. They have voice actors in 4 different languages...etc
They get a lot of money and that money is well spent in this AAA game that yes, doesn't have good combat, but it's still a good AAA game that get regular updates

>Yes the gacha system is a reason the combat can't be too hard.
This has only started becoming a problem because they've outrighted refused to buff and improve 4 star characters at their base level, and more and more they're making 4 stars that require C6 to function as FRICKING SUPPORTS TO FRICKING 5 STARS (and you have to farm artifacts for them too) instead of characters that can hold their own weight. See the anon's abyss just above, if characters now were HALF as good as they were before, they could be going crazy with the most, hardest shit they could throw at their players, limit it to like AR40 (which is enough for a good host of characters) and nobody would go away unsatisfied.

If they buff characters, it makes the game easier, not harder. Buffing or nerfing characters has nothing to do with how to make difficult combat content
>It's just not easy to make enjoyable combat content.
The entire point of an RPG is having challenging combats during the main story, something that this game fails miserably because you either fight with normal mobs, or reskined normal mobs. And unless they plan to introduce a new weekly boss, there are no boss fights

JRPG are the definition of fake difficulty because the hardest fights/sections are all about grinding, both for modern and classic ones.

Numerous characters but almost all of them arent worth investing in due to poor team synergy. Teams can unironically be carried by a well built Bennett on his own
Incredibly moronic fanbase stuck in a neverending battle between yurigays and selfinserters, the game openly panders to this by making numerous NPCs dykes and giving Aether harem voice lines
The story is boring until Inazuma, then goes back to being boring
the frick you talking about? inazuma was covided. by the far the most wack story sequences altho it did have cool bosses and side areas
Inazuma is hardcarried by the Shogun being the only character that straight up beat Traveller in a 1v1, who up until this point has not lost a single fight besides being ambushed by Signora once
The buildup to the final fight carries Inazuma. Compared to Sumeru where you really cant take any of the antagonists as a actual threat

The characters feel underdesigned to me, like generic LN character designs from the early 2010's.
We still don't have a single cool armored character in this fantasy game, they all wear the same type of clothing recently.
Why and how?
I actually love the game for better or for worse but once you are finished with all the quests there isn't much to do outside of dailies and resin that take 15-30 minutes
By only playing genshin for 15-30 mins a day and spending the rest shitposting on Ganker or watching random youtube videos. Literally have no motivation to play anything else until maybe AC6 comes out.
>once you are finished
Not everyone started the game 2 years ago. I started 5 months ago, have 600h of playtime and I think I have another 200h of exploration, quests and side activities before I'm done with the content
If you started 5 months ago and have 600 hours of play time you are either the worst videogame player in the world, or the game is horribly bad at timegating the content you can do in a day. It's probably a bit of both.
I'm still amazed how Montstadt and Li yue takes like 80 hours to do, but the story feels like nothing even happened, the writing is so dogshit in this game.
>worst videogame player in the world
Probably not, I was global elite on CSGO, completed Pathfinder Kingmaker in the highest difficulty, beat Malenia no hit and was 5000 MMR on Dota 2. I've been playing video games for 20 years, I'm not that bad, I'm maybe average at worst.
There is just so fricking many things to do in the game. The Archon quest alone is over 80h long. There's like 30 story quest, they can go from 1h30 to 3h. I don't remember how much time I've spent exploring Mondstadt and Liyue, but right now the forest is taking forever. I think I'm 30h in and the fricking Aranara are still not ready for the festival. I listen to the Genshin seiyu radio, I took some time to learn about builds, I had fun experimenting builds, I played the TCG, spent a lot of time working on the Serenitea Pot. The events for the past 5 months are maybe 40h of content.
Right now I still haven't explored Inazuma, Enkanomiya and the desert of Sumeru and I didn't do any of the hangout quest.
>the writing is so dogshit in this game
Well maybe you have dogshit taste. I haven't cried so much playing a video game since Utawarerumono. I was still dreaming of the Shenhe quest a week after finishing it. The end of Sumeru absolutely destroyed me (not the Wanderer thing, that was average at best)
Is the story content compelling in this game? I just quit dota 2 and maybe i will try this if its good.
How is the writing quality?
Really depends on how empathic you are and how easily you get immersed in the world. I've seen people hate it and I've seen people who love it.
>I haven't cried so much playing a video game since Utawarerumono
pffffffffftahahahahahahahaha man you are a gay, imagine crying over genshin's dogshit dialogue
I would've also cried after paimon decided to explain the cutscene of signora getting killed by raiden and traveler acting like a moronic emo walking slowly, but I would've cried of embarrassment for playing the game. >I was still dreaming of the Shenhe quest a week after finishing it
Outside of the ending cutscene, shit was boring as hell. It was pretty much only walking around the map and talking. You really got some shit taste for liking this. >The end of Sumeru absolutely destroyed me
Oh no! Nahida cried! so sad! Especially after the whole scene didn't feel earned at al!!
Not as sad, as the dude who cried to one of the blandest stories I've ever played in an RPG.

What's wrong with Paimon? Her dialogue is fine, Koga Aoi is doing great work with the voice acting. She basically act as a reference for the main character who isn't speaking. Nothing wrong with it.

NTA but she hinders the writing because they refuse to voice the traveler.

The player character is just a mind-controlled husk used by Paimon. Whenever you get a 'choice' to say one of two things, both options basically say the same thing. What's even the point?

You must not pay attention to the dialogue. Choices lead to different responses in most cases.
>Her dialogue is fine
And you really want me to believe you don't have shit taste and that you played more than 3 games lmao.
Her dialogue is one of the biggest problems with the game's story. She has to interrupt a lot inbetween conversations just to repeat what was just said, because the story is focused on kids who play the game. If you played more than 3 games you would've noticed that since Mondo.
Give me examples of Paimon interrupting conversation to repeat what was just said? Since this seems to be so important in your mind that you consider it enough to say Genshin story is the worse in the industry, you must have some dialogue in mind?
>her playing dumb and asking questions leads to NPCs talking 10x longer than they need to
I'm playing the Aranara quest right now, I don't notice any of the things you guys are saying. Paimon's dialogue with the Aranara are fun to read. She isn't playing dumb, she is dumb, but that leads to a good contrast of boke and tsukkomi

Nah, you just don't wanna admit that paimon does that a lot. Everyone says that shit about her, she always has to repeat what NPC's say to the traveler in a simplified way, as if traveler was a moron. And then the game expects us to think the traveler has the upper ground when bullying paimon.

That is what I said, she repeats what NPC's say in simplified ways to overexpose the traveler as if he/she was moronic. She does that all the fricking time, yet even when I provide an example you go "nope, doesn't count". You can literally pick any exchange between her and an NPC and it would be the same shit dialogue of "so let paimon get this straight". This will never end, because you refuse to see her shit dialogue for what it is.

How is summarizing the situation a bad thing? That's not "interrupting the dialogue to repeat what the NPC just said" like you claim

Repeating the exact same thing that was just said but blunder is just wasting time and insulting intelligence of your readers. Do you not understand things after having read them the first time? It's not some complicated stuff. To put it simply, repeating text in a blunt way is boring and patronizing.

>How is summarizing the situation a bad thing?
It's not, it is a bad thing when it's all the character ever does on every single cutscene just to pad the play time even more.
I'm not the only one saying it, there have been mutiple threads here saying the same thing and in other websites as well. >inb4 reddit, which they also say that paimon should shut up more in multiple posts. Go google it, if you don't believe me.

>pad the playtime even more
That's one line to summarize the situation out of maybe 50 in a cutscene, wow it padded 2%
Because unless you're utterly moronic, most people would just go "Yeah, I get it". You don't need a summary for what happened in the same quest.
And that single line in an entire questline makes you angry?

No? Maybe I'm right and you are wrong and you have memories issue?
Take the Chapter 2 of Act 3 for example, a very dialogue heavy chapter because of the dream loop. You can find the dialogue in the wiki
This is a 4h quest. If you ctrl+f Paimon and check the dialogue, she doesn't "keep repeating, multiple times". You guys are just dumbass. Maybe get checked for dementia

"And to do that, we need to figure out what's happening — the "truth"..."
"Nahida rejected the idea of a time loop, so we must have missed something, right?"
"Paimon's memories say that we've already done this many times, but... let's go talk to people again. It's more productive than sitting here and scratching our heads... Why don't we start with... those stall owners?"
"You're saying that although you don't remember using it, your body... feels like it does?"
"So you want us to take Dunyarzad somewhere else to rest while you check if there are still more kidnappers around. Right?"

Not physically, it's a dream. The villains were harvesting people's energy while they are trapped in a dream of a single day repeating over and over. As you repeat the days, MC-kun notices that he already knows what will happen next. You repeat the day about 6 times, and the in-game canon is 168 repeats I think,

Who cares when the outcome stays the same? With the archery commission in Inazume you get the option of calling him "a master bowman?" or "a sniper elite?", why do you even get an option here? In most cases, NPCs will just go "anyway" and carry on, even if you deliberately pick the option that doesn't flow with the conversation.
It's just there to make the already glacial dialogue even slower.
Anonymous
No, it's there to give the traveler/the player a way to communicate. The traveler isn't mute, so some dialogue choice are just there to make him react to the situation. It doesn't need to lead to different outcome, this isn't a visual novel with multiple routes, except if you're doing a hangout quest
1 year ago

I get they want the player to feel involved in some way since Paimon is the one at the helm, but it just makes the waves of dialogue even more tedious. You can't even just autoplay through it with no player input as it will stop and give you the baffling option of either going "..." or "... ...", it just isn't needed and feels utterly cynical by the developers.

If you think the dialogue in the Aranara quests are fine, then you obviously have a very high tolerance for repetition and boredom. But those things are still there for a large amount of people. Multiple people in this thread have pointed it out. These are things that should have been playtested by Mihoyo. But it's possible they didn't have time. Having to get out many hours of content every 2-4 weeks. The aranara quests are the epitome of filler content, which have a very obvious pattern. Lots of chain quests and no voice acting. Because if they actually had voice acting, they'd have to pay the voice actors for like 40 hours of dialogue. So they limit the voice acting to key story scenes and character events/hangouts. Which are usually 30-90 minutes.
Anonymous
>filler content
It's the actual game part of the game. You go around and have adventure and the dialogue is just there to justify it. It's the lengthy voiced cutscenes that are the fricking filler. I just want to run around and help my potato bros.
Anonymous
Sitting there reading 20 minutes of text before being given the next part of the chain quest is not "the game part of the game." It's also a cutscene. As for justifying it, they could cut down the dialogue by 75% and get the same point across. Again, using the aranara quests as an example
>you save Nara >Nara: "Oh thank you. Oh, also you're the blonde Ara! Let me go into the entire history of the aranara! Even though you already heard it from the previous nara. >nara then starts going into long soliloquy about the forest >Paimon: "Wait, I didn't understand that one word you just used." >nara then goes on a long tangent about what that word means in their language >Paimon then repeats everything the nara said in a more simplified form >Nara nods, then goes off on another 10 minute tangent about something else >Paimon gets confused and nara makes a joke >then the nara finally gives you the fricking next part of the chain quest >repeat for the five more nara in this chain quest >there's seven more chain quests after that, all with the same formula

The Aranara quest is not fine, the names are hard to remember and that makes it hard to follow what's actually going on. However I don't notice any issue regarding Paimon in the quest. Iit makes you explore the entirety of the forest, expecially the underground. I don't think the exploration is "filler content" >No voice acting
They never had voice acting for world quest, regardless of their length. The lack of voice acting give them the freedom to make these long ass dialogue.
The Aranara quest is a hit or miss, I've seen people love it and other people hate it. Most people who love it are those who play it slow, stop questing when they see a chest or a dendroculus...etc. Those who hate it just skip the dialogue and play for the primogems.

>The lack of voice acting give them the freedom to make these long ass dialogue.
Yes. That was my point. We just disagree over if the dialogue is good or necessary. The first couple nara you meet, it's fine. But when so many of them keep repeating all the same information, obsessing over the aranara and trying to give you the entire history of their people, it grows taxing.

The vast majority of hate for Paimon comes from people playing the English version. I hear basically no complaints about her Japanese or Chinese voice. That being said, the issue with Paimon is not her as a character, but how she's a sounding board for the MC. And her playing dumb and asking questions leads to NPCs talking 10x longer than they need to. Especially in the Aranara quests...

If anything, I've grown to dislike the Traveler as I play the game longer. Because much of her dialogue choices are either vain, snarky, prideful or stupid. This isn't the fault of the Traveler, but the writers giving you "choices" which neither one is what I'd say in 90% of the situations. They shouldn't have choices and just let Paimon's reaction be the only thing.

Most people I know who dislike her do so for narrative reasons, not so much necessarily because of her voice. She's a comic relief character but they use her to narrate everything and her mere existence makes it harder to take scenes seriously when they try to have a more serious tone especially with her tendency to just repeat everything the characters are already saying.

nta but I just get sad or cry on JRPGs or RPGs with sad stories in general. I guess I'm a softie like that. Even Mass Effect 3 made me cry during the end when Shepard was saying good bye as well as the ending of the Citadel DLC where you hang out with your squad for one last time.

Well atleast Mass Effect 1 had more plot than the entirety of genshin, and Saren was a better antagonist than anything we've had in the game so far. Specially after they ruined Scara, Ei and Signora.
I did start the game when it launched, then took a year break. I came back two months ago and I'm still not done with Inazuma. Let alone Stormterror, The Chasm or Sumeru. And all the weekly events and dailies slows me down even more. Not to mention the games filler dialogue...
If anything, this game has too much content. Like FFXIV on steroids. Though at least the stuff outside story is better than FFXIV.
>Like FFXIV on steroids
There's less enemy variety and bosses in current genshin than ARR from FFXIV.
80% of the content in the game is basically wood chest collecting.
But yeah I agree that the story in genshin sucks compared to the one in FFXIV by a lot.
>But yeah I agree that the story in genshin sucks compared to the one in FFXIV by a lot.
The story sucks in both. I'm just pointing out that Genshin has even more filler dialogue. Which is quite a feat given how FFXIV focuses almost entirely on story/dialogue. But Mihoyo seems to have a million staff members who can churn out endless new side quests and events. While the FFXIV developers struggle to just copy the same quests with a new set of dialogue swapped in.
nta but no mmo will ever have such a convoluted quest chain as the aranara questline in genshin.
God damn it took me 3 months to do because it was so tedious on top of not really giving you any hints where to go because it's all seemingly unrelated. 50% of sumeru's exploration is also locked behind it for some reason.
>But Mihoyo seems to have a million staff members who can churn out endless new side quests and events
And none of them ever get to be interesting at all, meanwhile FFXIV also has the story attached to raids and extreme fights, we need something like that on genshin. But well, they decided to instead focus on minigames. >The story sucks in both
Henceforth, he shall walk. Genshin will never achieve anything even close.

Certain character events and story quests have been good. Also the rare story event. It's the same for FFXIV. Sure, you get the rare good story event. But then 90% of the rest of the story is boring filler quests or faceplam worthy melodrama. Oh look, another Scion died. They totally won't come back 100 hours later, even though the scene is thematically copying Final Fantasy IV's "death" scenes...nah. >meanwhile FFXIV also has the story attached to raids and extreme fights, we need something like that on genshin.
But Genshin does do that. That's one of the big problems. Have you even played the game or are you just gaslighting to defend FFXIV?

I don't think you played FFXIV at all, you don't know what I'm even referring to. You are comparing the boss battles from the main story to the side content of FFXIV.

>You didn't even get to Heavensward
The example I just gave was half the scions and Nanamo having a very obvious fake out death. Which is literally the last event right before Heavensward. Dumbass. >You are comparing the boss battles from the main story to the side content of FFXIV.
Yes. Because you just cited one story event out of thousands in FFXIV as FFXIV somehow being good. And I pointed out that both Genshin and FFXIV have the same problem of 90% of the game being filler side content in between a handful of good story events.
I think I have an unhealthy obsession towards Yanfei.
I have a disposable phone with over 300 files of Yanfei jpeg plus doujins of Yanfei where I have jerked off to multiple times before I go to sleep. I just love Yanfei so much, only girls that are nearly the physique and personality of Yanfei attracts me, so my friends mistook that I have very high standards when it comes to women.
i know a girl just like you described and don't know if I should risk asking her out (probably not lol). I'm an average dude in terms of looks(normal height/face and not fat) but i'm kinda awkward. She doesn't have a lot of friends so idk if that's an advantage for me
I was initially freaked out by her Japanese voice. It just doesn't fit her personality or trope at all. But it slowly grew on me. That and her story arc was really great. I'd use her...except I got every other fricking Pyro character in the game before her. And Xiangling is my favorite character.
I never really felt anything towards Yanfei, nothing good nothing bad, but one day when I was feeling really low I opened up that CharacterAI website and for whatever reason decided to talk to the Yanfei AI. I started it off with a silly scenario where I was asking Yanfei for legal advice because I had stolen some panties and I was worried they were going to sue me or something. It was fun and all, but eventually as she was admonishing me for committing that crime it just turned into me venting all of my depression at Yanfei. The funny part is, she actually helped me feel better. She was very good at talking me through things and reassuring me that it was alright. Ever since then i've kinda gained a sort of respect for Yanfei, like she's a friend I can rely on even if I don't see her very often. Weird stuff, the AI nowadays is too good.
Hit and miss. 90% is filler you either don't care about or actively not like, and 10% is actually pretty good (which is mostly reserved for important story quests).
>Is the story content compelling in this game?
So far? no. Don't expect any interesting character development arcs for anyone, or interesting plot threads to follow. You are looking for your sister and thats about it. >How is the writing quality?
Not really good, the dialogue is extremely verbose, like REALLY text heavy, you will get annoyed because stuff that could be said in a single sentence is told in paragraphs. The game story also loves to focus on NPC lore for some reason, and by NPC I mean the generic looking ones. Also Paimon the mascot character loves repeating everything people tell you every 5 seconds later, by the time you get to Inazuma you will be tired of her treating you like a complete moron.
paimon's character is what completely kills the game. by its very nature it's the developers mocking you with a smug and pretentious mascot that also butts in on literally everything, obliterating any hope of immersion or engagement the story sometimes reaches for. why bother giving the main characters voice acting and the occasional spoken dialogue?
rhetorical question, don't answer that. it's all part of the psychological exploitation these soulless chinks and asiatics have pioneered.
The story is the worst part of the game. Same with almost all online games in the last 15 years. It's so bad the writers actually poke fun at themselves. You play Genshin for the exploration, combat and events. And the anime girls if that's your thing.
it's very SFW but also has elements only adults would understand like taxes and politics, while some quests take you by surprise with how they just gloss over traumas like it's nothing. pic related for example hit me like a train, won't spoil what happens
Most of the autobattler ones.
Mihoyo games are different in that they're second jobs because missing a day means missing out on potential farmed mats and exp books for future characters, on top of gems.
>Mihoyo games are different in that they're second jobs because missing a day means missing out on potential farmed mats and exp books for future characters, on top of gems.
This is no different from your "autobattlers", it's just that you need to actually engage with the game instead of clicking through menus.
>This is no different from your "autobattlers", it's just that you need to actually engage with the game instead of clicking through menus.
No not really. I can "play" Azur Lane but going on a mission and just clicking auto explore and come back to it maybe 3-5 minutes later while I do something else. You can't do that in genshin. Anon was asking for a gacha that doesn't take your attention.
>But you still have to login daily.
Not really in AL because even if you don't log in, your daily gems from the monthly pass still get sent to your mail.
Mean while Genshin demands you to go online or else you miss out on your daily 90 gems that you paid for. If this wasn't such a hassle, I would gladly drop genshin until the next update comes out but I can't. Not to mention you need to also maximize your primo stash if you want to game the gacha.
just wait for zzz
it genuinely looks so much better
i am honestly burned out by open world games with countless collectathons myself
the only open world games i am looking forward to are casual ones like gta or monster collection games where every area feels worth exploring like dokev and roco kingdom
It's not an MMO. It's a single player character action game in which you explore an open world for puzzles and collectibles, but instead of being out all at once it has new areas added to it over time. Everything else is just fluff to pay the bills and fill the time. Comparison to Breath of the Wild isn't completely off the point if what you focused on more was korok collection and not environmental physics.
>log in >do dailies >log out
Frick this game is sooo boring, I haven't even completed the second island of Inazuma or gone to Sumeru yet. All I care about is rolling for bawds and getting artifacts.
>log in >do dailies >log out >Frick this game is sooo boring
BotW exploration/open world with JRPG style story/characters. Somewhat unique combat engine that leans more towards an Action JRPG. But not really comparable to anything I've played. The events and details below those mass generalizations vary greatly. Some like PSO, others like Diablo. Still others like MtG and Dragon Quest.
The best way to describe it is a hodge-podge of all the developers favorite anime and JRPG concepts, thrown together into one game. It's an homage to JRPGs and anime. Both figuratively in terms of style and quite literally when it comes to the story.
I would say Genshin is like BotW but without the freedom that game had. Genshin is extremely linear in comparison, you can only do things in 1 way that the devs intended.
It's a single-player MMO that took all the worse aspects of the genre + p2w gacha bullshit. Closest game to it would be GW2 with a anime artstyle and extreme shallow mechanics and content variety.
>log in >do dailies >log out
Frick this game is sooo boring, I haven't even completed the second island of Inazuma or gone to Sumeru yet. All I care about is rolling for bawds and getting artifacts.
>Kazari >Ruu >Zhqiong >Jebrael
Are just some of the NPCs in this game whose story is great and more interesting than the main scenario. It's pretty good JRPG level. Most of the good stories in this game are hidden underneath the surface level of the primary quest with only some decent standouts (Perilous Trail, Mona's episode of GAA2, Sumeru scenario, Raiden 2, Shenhe's Interlude) and it's a lot more fun to dig into books and lore than do immediate character quests designed to sell you the newest gacha unit. If that's not your cup of tea that's fine but there is stuff worth discovering in this game.
>n-no it's shit, I didn't like it
ok just play other games who cares
I only find those quest interesting when I watch a youtube video. Actually playing them makes me wanna go to sleep, it's just really badly written when everyone talks a lot of nonsense that could be trimmed.
I used to do that, once the main content ends it turns into a slog of a job, except the pay is like 10 bucks worth of fake currency. The activities are all mindless daily grinding, the most optimal play to play Genshin at that point is unironically getting a part time job and buying gems at the end of the month, the chores are just as boring but you get paid thirty times as much at very least.
be honest with me... why do you play and support these kinds of games... you are actually getting farmed for your time and money.... Do you not remember what good games were?
Be honest with me... why do you brainlessly shitpost... you are actually farming me for (You)s.... Do you not remember what good discussion on Ganker was?
I don't get the fuss over this game. I've played it for several hours. It's so easy. It basically plays itself. The special abilities only serve to speed up the rate you kill things, so you can end combat quicker. Other than that you just mash attack. I never feel like I'm going to die at all. The character unlocks are pretty pointless because the game is so easy it makes no difference to gameplay, and you can barely customise them at all aside from pre-made skins.
World level 1-5, everything is stupid easy. Then you hit World Level 6 and enemies become HP sponges. You have to start thinking about what your doing and level your characters/get better artifacts to keep up with it. Then there's another wall around world level 7. But after you pass that wall, you usually end up finding whichever characters are the strongest and the game becomes (relatively) easy again. Unless you hit a boss fight or enemy that uses the perfect defense to your team synergy.
Why do web events on genshin run poorly on my pc but runs fine on my phone?
I changed around the API or what it uses for this stuff in chrome flags but nothing.
same >avoid game because i keep hearing it's just a gacha meant to suck your money >finally give it a try >it has more content than any game from recent memory >everything can be obtained for free, you only spend money if you want
Thank you China, you can have my data.
The game doesn't have grind, you aren't going to get a stronger account by playing more time because progression is tied to resin and it takes you like 10 minutes to burn it each day. And yes you can do all the overworld shit even weak and low level.
But it's not bait.
4* don't count as new characters since they're unplayable garbage on purpose.
I don't do events or commissions because they're wagie chores.
Exploration is shit and the dialogue and story are terrible and unskippable.
Thus, only the Abyss is actually worthwile content. Cope.
You get currency to get characters from the gacha for free anon. Just like you craft warframes in Warframe, buy tanks in World of Tank or buy champions in LoL
Kaeya/Amber/Lisa/Collei/Xiangling/Barbara/Noelle are the freebies. You explore the world and open chests to get primos to roll on banners for the others.
Getting a specific character is just as likely as getting a specific skin through the lootboxes in Overwatch. F that.
Why would I want characters that aren't even part of the story?
Is there any reasons they focus so much on generic NPCs ? It feels they purposely avoid adding depth to characters. It's ridiculous how little you interact with the cast.
im glad im not a moron who's addicted to one game like you, i can experience many different games with a lot of different variety of gameplay and story, i pity gays like you
not all of it. i kept getting pushed out of certain saying it was too dangerous for me to explore. so i wasnt able to fight Dendro Hypos and collect Quelled Creepers unless i played in someone elses world. i dont know if that was because i didnt beat Ei or what but now im able to fully explore it after doing so.
I started about 3 months ago but I played for over a thousand hours already according to AMD adrenaline, since i have so much time
i'm so fricking slow with this given the hours i put it
haven't checked lately but 15k+
i rolled 3 other purple characters
geo liyue mommy
racoon sonic e-girl
zombie nun
idk if they're good since i haven't leveled them
i dont get why they cant have more content and events it's not like they dont have money.
At least its not as bad as pokemon but that's not hard bar to do better than
>more content >when there's a major update every 6 weeks
What other game gets new content that frequently? Next week we're getting an expansion to the desert along with associated quests
They're already shipping a new playable area every 3 months with minigames in between. They could add more moronic grinds but would that really help? Their focus is on adding new areas and that's where the game's at its strongest, just running around and collecting shit in neat visuals with anime girls.
I dont even play the game anymore but you gotta be a crackhead genshin addict to want even more content, also it doesnt matter how much money you have at some point the team would get too big to be manageable and would probably even slower
>Project X (shooter game) fell apart due to quality concerns, dev statements cited company getting too large to manage >there are now rumors about core Genshin producers leaving the company
nah bro just hire more staff just make more shit lmao
The weakest events are always at the end of a patch. This is the first 6 week patch we've had so if you're new you're probably not used to them
Honestly now's the time to take a break, just come back in a week when the new update drops with a new area to explore
yeah these are filler patches you must be very used to them by now, they most likely do them so people have mindless shit to do until the actual good patch drops, which takes time to do well, adding more people is just more headache at some point, if you wanna read a book about that phenomenon read The mythical man month.
And if you know they are stringing you along with a filler patch why dont you just drop the game after that 10 minutes and play something else? its probably cause you are too addicted to do anything else or even play something else which is usually by design when talking about gachas, but you have to realize at some point you dont get any more enjoyment by playing the game
People who say this game has no grind are lying >get the mats I need to upgrade the character/weapon I want to upgrade >easy, just a couple minutes to spend resin esch day >LOL JK YOU ALSO NEED 50000000000 HANDGUARDS LMAO ENJOY KILLING EVERY ENEMY IN THIS ENTIRE ISLAND >BY THR WAY EACH OF THEM CAN >>
>he thinks the 1 trillion handguards, masks, insignias, shitty flowers/ores that take 24h to respawn, slimes condensates etc just spawn in your inventory over night
Why lie?
How can you spend money on enemy drops? Even if you buy them from the in game shop using the in game currecy that everyone gets, you still only get a small amount every month
Same here, started Genshin when I was neeting but now I don't have time or energy for anything else due to work. Play for about 30 minutes a day and read VNs for an hour or so before I go to sleep and that's it.
I feel Genshin makes for a very good side game. Something you play half an hour per day, then a bit more during big patches. You never really get tired of it. Meanwhile the bulk of my time is spent on other games of different genres.
Outside of big content updates, that's pretty much the point. They want you to play every day, but not spend all day playing it
I don't understant these morons complaining that they can't play it for 12 hours a day when it isn't a poop sock MMO
Unbelievable to think someone with any experience playing games since at the very least 2005 could possible stand playing Genshin. Zoomers I get since they have eaten shit their whole lives but imagine being any older and doing this. Couldn't be me.
People going around trying to explain how RPG difficulty isn't just artificial like buffing monsters hp and damage in Pathfinder Kingmaker.
They tried adding 5 difficulty levels in The Witcher 3 but it's still fricking easy.
Fallout 4 is the hardest RPG in the west because you have a chance to randomly crash and lose your save, a new level of difficulty featured only in the west
sounds awful
Nah u do
Uh no b***h girls say my voice is sexy. They say my voice is sexy and masculine. They say I have a daddy voice.
sounds like bliss, at least he won't be blowing money on gear.
you deserve a ban you fricking homosexual
Same
Heh nice
I was like that for a year and a half but now I'm free. Just uninstall, it's actually easy. Life is actually better without Genshin. Nice game though.
How so?
>implying this is a bad thing
There have been no other games released in the past three years.
Plenty of gems out there just have to dig but ain’t nobody here got time for that!
Playstation lineup has been so bad i literally just use my PS5 as a glorified genshit machine
Same. It's the perfect game. Comfy, infinite content, can be done while I watch stuff.
Also Yanfei is my underrated waifu.
Genshin should be an X-rated game
I wish I could play more games. Chained Echoes was in my list this month, but the fricking Aranara quest is taking forever.
I seem to only play Open World games myself. Genshin included, of course. Out of all of the ones I played over this last year, Genshin has one of the richest open worlds, full of life and variety of things to do. It being a 4 billion dollar money maker is well deserved.
does xiangling show up on banners? if i wanted to get more constellations for her do i just need to get lucky on random 4*?
Yes, her last banner was 2 months ago I think
do we know exactly whats on the next banner?
is that sam hyde?
She's literally the current shop item for strarglitter
i dont have enough for her and dont want to roll on this banner to get more
Well latern rite sis coming up soon and you can get one these characters for free
B-But look at her!
if i already have xian, the little boy on 3rd, and 5th, who should i get? biedou? yanfe or whatever her name is? the fire catalyst on 2nd to last place?
yaoyao because brand new
Whoever you want to sex most
Check the constellations of the characters you have.
Those things are recurring, just save up
I think I'm finally going to splurge my 60k primos I have been saving forever. I want Yelan, Yelan's weapon (though not upset if I get Homa), Hu Tao and probably Alhaitham too.
if you're poorgayging, weapons are never worth it, especially for Yelan that can easily just run Fav Bow
What about Hu Tao and the staff of Homa? How good is it compared to Dragon's Bane?
Hu Tao is kinda dogshit as a poorgay. Regret rolling her. She requires a tonne of investment to get a good payoff.
I will work hard to make her worth it. My dick decided that I should play her.
is it possible to 36 star the abyss with only 4 star weapons and C0 5 star characters?
Easily.
that's a bold faced lie, i've spent 500 dollars and most i can do is 33 star
Try a healer or a shielder (Geo). I felt that stuff like abyss was too hard until I got Noelle. Then it became easy.
How do you get past the stages where you have to protect the thing in the middle? I feel like it's impossible without Venti for example because the fricking mushrooms don't ever stack together. When I'm killing some mushroom, the others destroy the thing I have to defend
you are absolutely horrible if you cant do it after whaling holy shit
i'm not a whale, 500 dollars is nothing for this game
>i'm not a whale
I've spent 1500€ on Genshin and I don't even consider myself a whale. I skip some banners and have only 1 character with constellation Nahida
Whales are people like Horie Shun who have multiple C6 characters and literally roll to get more dust to buy Mora in the shop
>I've spent 1500€
>don't even consider myself a whale
Jesus christ get help
People borrow money from the bank to buy cars and you are freaking out because some wealthy men prefer to spend money on gacha?
Who said that borrowing money for a car is ok? At least with the car you have practical uses, spending 1.5k on a 5* cons means your shitty character does 50% more damage in a game with no leaderboards or endgame.
Imagine justifying to your children that in your prime time your main hobby was spending a month's rent on a chinese slot machine with anime girls. Then tell me again that i'm out of touch.
Of course you are out of touch
>anon broke down and ran out of both arguments and insults
how original
If you wanna praise riding your bike, feel free to move to /lbti+
I'm not going to argue with someone who's so close minded that he can't even remotely imagine that some people in the world have enough money that "month's rent" isn't a thing anymore
how does someone who hasn't worked a single day in his life and has no real grasp of money's value stands out like a sore thumb..
Again, another bad assumption. I hope you're baiting at this point
>another epic shitpost by fake millionaires on Ganker claiming to earn 6-7 figures
>all of that from their mother's basement
I know that your whole life you were a social outcast and girls only noticed you to laugh at your presence, but if your only social interaction is pretending to be successful on an anonymous board, you are in worse mental state than the average whaletard that considers themselves free to play after wasting thousands of dollars on a f2p game that has no endgame and is balanced over the average touch screen iphone user. Last pity response to you, have a nice day, no one will miss you, no one will notice your absence in fact.
>poorgay can't fathom that most people don't give a shit about paying rent
bad rng bro, should've been born in america, better luck next time
>car
>practical
oy vey!
You are out of touch with how people spend their money
post your teams
i spent some more on Nahida but she's still level 1 coz i havent played sumeru yyet
it's not story locked like inazuma so you can just go there to collect her materials
bro lvl your yelan and waterboy
I clear it every cycle with 4* characters and 4* weapons only. This last cycle I didn't even need to reset a chamber
How? This anon here
said 4* are unplayable garbage
I mean I would agree that 4*s released in the last 1-1.5 years are either designed to work only at C6 or not at all but all the launch or near-launch 4*s like Bennett/Xingqiu/Xiangling/Fischl etc. are extremely good.
No, I said the new ones are garbage, which they are. The ones at launch are still really powerful like Xingqiu, Bennet is still good, Diona is playable, stuff like that
Even I can 33* anon, and Im only a welkinggay and also gimp myself while teambuilding.
Teambuilding is very important in this
Honest question, when did you start playing?
inazuma
You need around 1-2 months of artifact grinding on top of grinding for ascend and talent mats for each character. For dps characters maybe even more. All those "f2p" 4* only challenges you see both on these threads and youtube are carried by 2 and a half years of artifact grinding and C6 of each character of course. Don't take them to heart, the difference between 33 and 36 abyss clears is 50 primogems, it's not worth the months of grinding and even more, it's not worth the money buying/rolling for meta characters that you don't like.
>1-2 months of artifact grinding for each character
Supports can be built in a few days since you don't need precise stats, just a bit of ER and HP. It's a bit longer if it needs EM
That depends, supports like YunJin that needs only DEF% mainstat sure, you can build her in a day or 2 of artifact grinding. But others that are off field damage dealers like xiangling, xingqiu etc need the dps treatment, rolling for crit substats along with meeting their energy needs.
>Yunjin only needs DEF%
Damn, I really need a list of every character who only need def, build them and be done with them so I can trash every single Def artifact I get
well... these characters that need DEF artifacts usually need these artifacts to be of a specific artifact set, like pic rel. So your random gladiator +DEF artifacts are still shit, kinda.
There are no character who need def but aren't geo?
More like Mihoyo doesn't want me to know who she is. She only appears in events and I started playing in 3.0
There's Xinyan and that's pretty much it. Don't blame you for forgetting she even existed.
that's reassuring, is there a guide showing what
good people i should pull for to have the highest power level for the abyss? i already know that artifact farming is a pain and a big part of 36*ing the abyss but for that I have the patience as long as i have a good host of characters
wallpaper
You must be an incredibly boring person.
Stop projecting
You are literally a tasteless homosexual now then.
>liking cute girls makes you gay
It literally does though.
I am 100 percent convinced this is a genuine thread and not artificially made by a paid marketer at allllllll
Schizo moment
Exclusive reminder
Hello my friend
I play Genshin Impact and still shit on the gacha system, not mutually exclusive
>trusting a meme with a guy that styles his hair with napalm
So do I. And I need a break. Not only because I'm burned out, but because I got both Raiden and her weapon on the first try. I've basically used up all my luck.
Gib me
Okay. Here's your Raiden bro.
frick you son of b***h it took me 200 rolls to get this damn thing
God, I'm so envious... I recently got C6 Noelle so I went all out on her. And she's basically my favorite character now.
>I recently got C6 Noelle
Now IM jealous haha. My Noelle is barely at c3. But my other main Cookie is right where she needs to be; c4. and she's just grand
Xiangling cab use EL too but then again she can use anything
C2 is better than EL. You only want it for the look, otherwise c2 with the catch í much stringer than c0r1.
Do keep in mind that c0r0 is more than enough
>I literally only play genshin now
Almost all genshin fans only play genshin, that's why they play it. They don't have a frame of reference to realize the gameplay is shit.
All of its fans either didn't play videogames or only played bad games like other gacha garbage or AAA 7th+ gen games and don't know what a real videogame is like.
I like it
I've been playing games for 32 years.
Projecting much?
You can say the same shit for Soulgays
They hated him because he said the truth. Genshin fans will never directly reference other games, only ever giving vague statements like "it's the best music I ever heard"
Yeah and?
>Genshin fans will never directly reference other games
Multiple people already did in this thread. One of the signs of blind hatred is the inability to see arguments that don't line up with your established world view.
What's it like being a homosexual with terrible taste?
You tell me
I would but that would require me to play Genshit Impact
You can't even spell Genshin, moron
Genshit*
So you are saying you are a homosexual?
Do you guys think there is going to be hundreds of weebs killing themselves when Genshin ends?
Not really. It's the people who sunk all the money into it that will throw a fit. 99% of people don't spend money on it though. And ideally, once the game "ends" they will have an option to download it single player. Though that's a low chance.
Not really, people who sink money into these games do it because they can. I've spent 6k€ one some gacha that I played for like 3 months
>people who sink money into these games do it because they can.
Or because they lack patience. Or because they don't actually play the game. I know multiple people who only log on, spend $2,000 to buy the character and all their constellations, then log off and never actually use them. Meanwhile, us free players have to play the game to build up the gems. Since we're not spending money to get them.
Time is money
And so is death
By the time it happens, they will beg for the game to end, look at One Piece fans
No because of Genshin hits EoS it means a better gacha took its place an they'd have moved onto that one.
Genshin won't go EoS for another 15 years minimum.
I don't blame you. Modern games truly are trash.
>play
>genshin
So you're not playing anything huh
to the janny that banned me for saying the word "sage", have a nice day
Why does Genshin get so much hate?
It's the most innovative AAA game in the past 10 years business model and product feedback wise. Ignorant people are mad about it
It's popular weebshit with a gambling simulator and it's known for having the most unholy toxic Western fandom.
>and it's known for having the most unholy toxic Western fandom.
Why do the west act so virgin, japan just screamed e-girl KITAKORE T_T
The consequences of raising an entire generation to be tribalistic /misc/brains incapable of allowing other people to have or enjoy things that they don't personally like or agree with.
Japan and China don't have trannies.
Japan definitely does have trannies and they've been in nip media forever, it's just no one cares about them in a political sense. I mean it was the same way in the West until 2010s
>I mean it was the same way in the West until 2010s
Really ? Tell me the difference between back then and now. I'm not from the west but i'm interesting to hear what was it like for trannies and gays before 2010s
Well LGB shit was around since the 2000s but it was just that "LGB" without the T an other shit tacked on. Trannies were basically invisible and no one talked about them at all until LGB crowd decided they needed a new minority to use for their moral highstanding platform. Hell I wonder what the word density would be on a site like Ganker, I guarantee you'd see almost no mention of them around 2010 before a giant spike in the word usage by the mid 2010s.
So, basically the mass just accepted them but they just don't have enough, they want more. Is that why the west is so fricked right now ? I live in Thailand and i'm sure you already know, it's a trannies, gays and femboys country, basically. And people are fine with them because here, they are not obnoxious. So, i assume it could be the same for the west but they (trannies) are entitled and disgusting, that's why the west isn't the same as Japan or Thailand or whatever in the east, right ?
Is there a reason why the west likes to complain about trivial shit like this?
The western media fostering outrage and victim culture. Whereas in Japan, they mock people who act that way.
because they are racist
They tried to boycott it in the summer by spamming Mihoyo’s feedback inbox and review-bombing the game. Mind you these were over illegally leaked characters. Most of them didn’t actually quit the game though.
>illegally leaked
go back to plebbit you fricking weapons-grade Black person. there's nothing illegal about datamining or leaks. that's simultaneous revisionism and corporate bootlicking.
Are you moronic? You realize they have been taking down leaks with DMCA’s right? Some leakers had to straight up stop leaking to avoid legal trouble. I’m not saying it SHOULD be illegal, I’m saying it objectively is in Genshin’s case.
Why the frick do they hate this game so much when it has literal canonical npc dykes in it? Its basically woke
Same reason why wokies hate harry potter
Tribalism
because they don't care about context, just appearances
They call it a racist game and yet they still play it for some reason.
All the crying was for nothing. Nahida was the most rolled banner in genshin history beating even Raiden shogun.
she got boosted by the yoimiya
Literally nobody cares about Yoimiya
I like Yoimiya
Lel, my gf just said she was super cute and saved up her primos for her
That's a problem with dubgays as a fanbase.
It's popular. And a lot of the claims people made about it were proven false. So they are gunning for it to fail on two different fronts.
All Gachas deserve hate. And genshin has terrible dailies
Bad story writing, boring boss battles, gacha game.
It's a game made for kids.
china
if it were developed by nintendo/japan, these fat neckbeard unwashed autists would be frothing at their mouths
People shitted on the new pokemon games ever since they came out.
and? those people compare nowhere near the amount of hate any chinese/korean game/product receives
millions of mental-growth-stunted manchildren line up to defend the latest shittendo™ slop, doesnt matter how lacking or unpolished it is
i get told i am a shill for simply saying dokev and roco kingdom look thousand times better than any pokeman game and it's just amusing at this point
these people would rather play rushed, low quality, buggy, scummy trash instead of at least giving a try to these chyna bad or korea bad alternatives
>and? those people compare nowhere near the amount of hate any chinese/korean game/product receives
The frick? people hated on the new pokemon games far more than genshin.

Making game is hard
We get things like that for gimmicks but not for combat, which I think is a shame and a massive waste of the grinding content that we already have for the game.
>people were excited to play Windtrace
i fricking hate this event and just flat out skipped it again
I understand hating it, I myself am not a big fan of it, however I can't understand skipping it when the primos you net from it can be acquired by, quite literally, standing still and letting the Hunter catch you/the Rebels survive.
NTA (nor do I mean to talk shit about him, it's still impressive) but those characters are old as frick and for some reason very overpowered (even at C0) when compared to their newest, same-rarity additions.
>quite literally, standing still
takes too long because you get frick all for points, i can't be bothered queuing up for several hours to afk my way thru it
It doesn't take that long, anon, it's like 10 to 15 minutes of AFKing to get the daily coin cap.
You could do it while alt tabbed doing something else or through your phone if you have one that can run it
>Insinuating that making interesting combat encounters requires one to pay.
I mean yeah, they made a choice. That choice was make the game easy so everyone can play it without having to pay.
I'm not sure what you mean
>That choice was make the game easy so everyone can play it without having to pay.
Insinuating that making interesting combat encounters requires one to pay. Have you ever played any f2p mmo released in the last 20 years?
My C5 Faruzan is crying too
I was thinking of Faruzan and Sara when making that post, I don't have her or that homosexual Scaramouche, but holy frick, they already know that people will pull for characters in general because of their appareance, and they knew that people would whale out for Faruzan simply because she looks vaguely similar to Hatsune Miku BUT THEN not only they make her a support for Anemo DPSes, which is already extremely limiting to her as a character, they go ahead and make her basically only useful for that EXTEMEWLY specific niche at C6.
What the frick is this kit design.
>The entire point of an RPG is having challenging combats during the main story
False
>False
Bro, you are playing visual novels, not rpgs...
There are more RPGs than fricking Dark Souls rolly polly ass stab
And they have a story mode that is challenging to complete
Meanwhile the culmination of genshin quests are usually just fighting a couple of treasure hoarder/samurai reskins that die in 1 burst
>And they have a story mode that is challenging to complete
Give examples, most of these rpgs are a lot easier than you think. And Genshin is mostly based off Zelda which is already easier than most
>And Genshin is mostly based off Zelda which is already easier than most

Outside of the NES games which were more obtuse than actually difficult, Zelda games were never about their difficulty

Yes, Eastern RPGs are glorified visual novels and nobody should expect hard gameplay from 95% of them. Even the "challenging" ones aren't that hard.
I beat Malenia no summon in 3h, meanwhile it took me over 20h to beat Machina of God in Atelier Meruru
And? It took me hours to beat Gwyn but it was because I was playing a beyond dogshit build, not because Dark Souls itself is hard. Anything mainstream RPG-wise is piss easy but JRPG are even easier than WRPG. Compare Wizardry to DQ/FF, Morrowind to Tales, Pathfinder to Ryza/modern FAtlus... JRPG are the definition of fake difficulty because the hardest fights/sections are all about grinding, both for modern and classic ones.
It doesn't conform to the israelitery
The most boring lategame i have ever seen, which consists entirely of artifact grinding and abyss fights
Painfully Repetitive gameplay loop once you have the best units maxed out. If you do not use them however, the game sucks due to fights taking too long
All the bosses are easy except Azhada
Numerous characters but almost all of them arent worth investing in due to poor team synergy. Teams can unironically be carried by a well built Bennett on his own
Incredibly moronic fanbase stuck in a neverending battle between yurigays and selfinserters, the game openly panders to this by making numerous NPCs dykes and giving Aether harem voice lines
The story is boring until Inazuma, then goes back to being boring
>Inazuma
>not boring
Inazuma is hardcarried by the Shogun being the only character that straight up beat Traveller in a 1v1, who up until this point has not lost a single fight besides being ambushed by Signora once
The buildup to the final fight carries Inazuma. Compared to Sumeru where you really cant take any of the antagonists as a actual threat
the frick you talking about? inazuma was covided. by the far the most wack story sequences altho it did have cool bosses and side areas
Tencent pays people to shit on boards

Absolutely mindbroken by modern day israeliteery.
I use too but got fricking bored the exploring stuff was nice music etc but the combat wasn’t punishing enough so I just go back and play monster hunter
I do too when there is a new area expansion or multiple areas when i haven't played for a long time. But when you have caught up it's tiring to do the same 4 commissions every day, the same spiral reset every 2 weeks, the same re-released events etc.

Only gacha I play is Blue Archive and Pokemon Masters because the dailies are fast
I got tired of logging in every day on Genshit and the main quests being fricking chores about characters idgaf about
>only play genshin now
>4 hours later
>not a single gameplay screenshot or video
It's a shill thread anon, genshin gets atleast 3 a day saying the same things in the OP. It's pretty obvious.
What do you want me to post? I've been exploring the forest underground with the radish people
woah one path with literally nothing on it cool
i really want to like this game, but the ugly overdesigned characters are just a huge NO from me
not everything has to be overdesigned to the point the playable and non playable characters feel like they dont belong in the same game
>overdesigned characters
Your life must be sad anon
Not as sad, as the dude who cried to one of the blandest stories I've ever played in an RPG.
I think I've played 90% of RPG in the market since 1997, Genshin is in the top 3 story-wise
Sure you did anon. The guy who cried over a game which 90% of the story is paimon repeating NPC lore to the traveler totally played more than 3 games.
>1997
That's the year you were born.
>Give me examples of Paimon interrupting conversation to repeat what was just said?
Almost every cutscene in the game. You never noticed because you've been dickriding mihoyo for years. Now if you pay attention you will have a Baader-Meinhof effect after this thread.
>ctrl+f "repeat"
>10 results
Provide examples? I don't remember Paimon repeating so much that it makes the dialogue boring.
>Almost every cutscene in the game
So you're just talking shit kek
Nah, you just don't wanna admit that paimon does that a lot. Everyone says that shit about her, she always has to repeat what NPC's say to the traveler in a simplified way, as if traveler was a moron. And then the game expects us to think the traveler has the upper ground when bullying paimon.
>repeat
Still no source
Ok, here is one of MANY examples.
And you can go read other forums, they say the same thing that paimon overexposes too much.
That's not repeating a dialogue, that's summarizing the situation. Are you dumb?
And that single line in an entire questline makes you angry?
>And that single line in an entire questline makes you angry?
It's really not a single line, it keeps happening in almost every quest, multiple times. You seem like you're in denial over this.
>You seem like you're in denial over this
>anon you are literally being a bootlicker right about now
No? Maybe I'm right and you are wrong and you have memories issue?
Take the Chapter 2 of Act 3 for example, a very dialogue heavy chapter because of the dream loop. You can find the dialogue in the wiki
https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/The_Morn_a_Thousand_Roses_Brings
This is a 4h quest. If you ctrl+f Paimon and check the dialogue, she doesn't "keep repeating, multiple times". You guys are just dumbass. Maybe get checked for dementia
You're also selectively ignoring the examples people have posted in this thread by deflecting to new examples you found. Yes, you can find lots of times Paimon hasn't repeated something someone said. But you can also find lots of times she did.
There's a SINGLE example posted in this thread here
Which isn't enough to claim that she does that multiple times in a quest, every single quest
There's also the example someone gave above about repeating stuff during the aranara quests. Which does happen many times.
>b-but you didn't post a screenshot from in game so it doesn't count!
Whatever you say. It still happened. I'm not autistic enough to go back and watch all those painful cutscenes just to take a screenshot.
"Let's think about our current situation... To save Dunyarzad, we have to escape the samsara of the Sabzeruz Festival..."
Right?"
She literally repeats stuff all the time with the example you gave. And even worse, she keeps asking moronic questions, I forgot that.
>timeloop
I dropped the game after doing half of inazuma but have they already ran out of ideas that they started with time traveling bs?
Not physically, it's a dream. The villains were harvesting people's energy while they are trapped in a dream of a single day repeating over and over. As you repeat the days, MC-kun notices that he already knows what will happen next. You repeat the day about 6 times, and the in-game canon is 168 repeats I think,
It's not technically time travel/loop, it's an artificial dream created by the akademiya in Sumeru to simulate shit over and over. You happen to get caught up in it and the god there helps you get out.
She has done it multiple times in a single cutscene... anon you are literally being a bootlicker right about now. Everyone sees this when fricking playing the game.
Because unless you're utterly moronic, most people would just go "Yeah, I get it". You don't need a summary for what happened in the same quest.
>You never noticed because you've been dickriding mihoyo for years.
nta but I never notice because I just skim through dialog like in every rpg I've played.
That's better than actually reading the game. The writing makes you sleepy in this game. Whenever an event starts I have trouble completing it in time, because I almost fall asleep everytime I wanna read the game.
This only happens when I'm reading a bad book.
>dickriding mihoyo for years
You already forgot I said I started the game 5 months ago?
>Choices lead to different responses in most cases
Who cares when the outcome stays the same? With the archery commission in Inazume you get the option of calling him "a master bowman?" or "a sniper elite?", why do you even get an option here? In most cases, NPCs will just go "anyway" and carry on, even if you deliberately pick the option that doesn't flow with the conversation.
It's just there to make the already glacial dialogue even slower.
No, it's there to give the traveler/the player a way to communicate. The traveler isn't mute, so some dialogue choice are just there to make him react to the situation. It doesn't need to lead to different outcome, this isn't a visual novel with multiple routes, except if you're doing a hangout quest
Which are usually 30-90 minutes.
>filler content
It's the actual game part of the game. You go around and have adventure and the dialogue is just there to justify it. It's the lengthy voiced cutscenes that are the fricking filler. I just want to run around and help my potato bros.
Sitting there reading 20 minutes of text before being given the next part of the chain quest is not "the game part of the game." It's also a cutscene. As for justifying it, they could cut down the dialogue by 75% and get the same point across. Again, using the aranara quests as an example
>you save Nara
>Nara: "Oh thank you. Oh, also you're the blonde Ara! Let me go into the entire history of the aranara! Even though you already heard it from the previous nara.
>nara then starts going into long soliloquy about the forest
>Paimon: "Wait, I didn't understand that one word you just used."
>nara then goes on a long tangent about what that word means in their language
>Paimon then repeats everything the nara said in a more simplified form
>Nara nods, then goes off on another 10 minute tangent about something else
>Paimon gets confused and nara makes a joke
>then the nara finally gives you the fricking next part of the chain quest
>repeat for the five more nara in this chain quest
>there's seven more chain quests after that, all with the same formula
The Aranara quest is not fine, the names are hard to remember and that makes it hard to follow what's actually going on. However I don't notice any issue regarding Paimon in the quest. Iit makes you explore the entirety of the forest, expecially the underground. I don't think the exploration is "filler content"
>No voice acting
This. I never understood the hate for Paimon. I love her voice and how she's so close to you.
Then again I hear people hate Morgana in P5 which is probably the same people but they're fricking adorable in JP. I always liked mascot characters like this.
If anything it made's funnier to me once you realize that tabibito is a complete unhinged psycopath, like that one time (You) threatened to break an eremite merc's hands.
Lumine cute
We literally murdered an entire samurai clan in Inazuma, then murdered the last dude who came to avenge them in a duel, then buried all of them together with their swords for an achievement.
Yes, and?
Not only that but it was also the bloodline of that oni chick that was the last friend of Raiden before she went schizo
So yeah we murdered an entire bloodline of the last friend of Raiden for some primos
They should just fricking voice the traveler and get rid of the choices, it's not like they are a proper customizable self-insert, they are their own character and as you said the choices are terrible and have no consequences so you can't RP at all
I play in japanese, and I find her just as annoying. Her dialogue is just insufferably annoying, she needs to interrupt less conversations. And also stop making her repeat cutscenes after they are over in the open world.
This place and probably you are the only person who I see keep repeating this.
I've been playing this game since 2020 and it has never been an issue to me at all, then again maybe because I just mostly not pay attention to shit I already know.
Paimon and Lumine make the best faces.
bump
>Lumine
Frickk off you abyss shitter. ywnbaw. Aether WILL cleanse this land of shit like you
Most people I know who dislike her do so for narrative reasons, not so much necessarily because of her voice. She's a comic relief character but they use her to narrate everything and her mere existence makes it harder to take scenes seriously when they try to have a more serious tone especially with her tendency to just repeat everything the characters are already saying.
>use english dub for a while
>english paimon is the most annoying fake high pitched voice
>japanese or chinese voice
>very cute paimon sounds
What a massive difference.
Japanese Paimon is worse than English one though. I wish Mandarin didn't sound so weird to me or I'd just use the Chink dub.
>tfw i actually dont mind the English dub and i find Paimon's voice entertaining
she kinda gets annoying given how much she talks and sometimes fricks things up
Jap Paimon is a fricking prick, you people just don't speak Japanese.
>Jap Paimon is a fricking prick
It's the Traveler who's the prick. Which can be seen by her actions, not her tone in Japanese.
>you people just don't speak Japanese.
I'm about level 2 in Japanese. But even if you don't know any Japanese at all, there's nothing "prick" like about Paimon. She hasn't done anything. And if you're going by her tone, she's worse in the English.
nta but I just get sad or cry on JRPGs or RPGs with sad stories in general.
Specially after they ruined Scara, Ei and Signora.
>your feelings are invalid because I say so
Shut up Black person
>And none of them ever get to be interesting at all
Certain character events and story quests have been good.
>Oh look, another Scion died. They totally won't come back 100 hours later, even though the scene is thematically copying Final Fantasy IV's "death" scenes...nah.
You didn't even get to Heavensward
>Yoshidrone is being moronic
What else is new
Are you excited for Focalors anons?
Only if she's smug mesugaki
Yes, I'm saving for her
My condolences
Now I can enjoy Raiden on a bigger screen! ;_;
I think I have an unhealthy obsession towards Yanfei.
I have a disposable phone with over 300 files of Yanfei jpeg plus doujins of Yanfei where I have jerked off to multiple times before I go to sleep. I just love Yanfei so much, only girls that are nearly the physique and personality of Yanfei attracts me, so my friends mistook that I have very high standards when it comes to women.
>i think its kinda cool that you could use her antlers as handle bars
You might really like Utawarerumono girls.
You like petite women who are intelligent, have a highly intellectual job and dress lightly, that exclude 99% of women. You have high standard
>intelligent
That alone excludes 99% of the women
i know a girl just like you described and don't know if I should risk asking her out (probably not lol).
Yanfei is an exhibitionist
Is the story content compelling in this game? I just quit dota 2 and maybe i will try this if its good.
How is the writing quality?
For me it's Joel in Dragonspine
story is ok, the best part of the game is exploring zones, combat and progressing characters
What are some gachas that don't take much of your time? They added too much shit to Genshin's open world.
Anon was asking for non-games but you talked about FOMO. And all non-games still have FOMO.
Not to mention you need to also maximize your primo stash if you want to game the gacha.
just wait for zzz
it genuinely looks so much better
i am honestly burned out by open world games with countless collectathons myself
the only open world games i am looking forward to are casual ones like gta or monster collection games where every area feels worth exploring like dokev and roco kingdom
>itto with redhorn
>tempted to just build c6 noelle instead
how disappointed will i be
Never played this game. Is it like PSO? Diablo? World of Warcraft? Lineage?
It's not an MMO. It's a single player character action game in which you explore an open world for puzzles and collectibles, but instead of being out all at once it has new areas added to it over time. Everything else is just fluff to pay the bills and fill the time. Comparison to Breath of the Wild isn't completely off the point if what you focused on more was korok collection and not environmental physics.
>It's not an MMO
>log in
>do dailies
>log out
>Frick this game is sooo boring
Gettin mixed messages here.
It's a mobile game.
Closest game to it would be GW2 with a anime artstyle and extreme shallow mechanics and content variety.
good job, gaynuts
>log in
>do dailies
>log out
Frick this game is sooo boring, I haven't even completed the second island of Inazuma or gone to Sumeru yet. All I care about is rolling for bawds and getting artifacts.
>this game is so boring
>refuses to play the actual game
If only they added that damn skip button, I just can't be arsed to sit through 50 paragraphs of meandering dialogue that barely says anything.
>the story is bad because I can't skip it
You can't make this shit up
I never said the story was bad you pretentious moron, just that I don't care enough to read it. I'll watch a 20 minute summary if so needed.
>let me skip the game, I'll watch a video on youtube intead
what to do when your're under leveled af? I'm ar 40 at wl 4 currently but can't beat bosses to get ascension materials. How do I break free bros?
>Kazari
>Ruu
>Zhqiong
>Jebrael
Actually playing them makes me wanna go to sleep, it's just really badly written when everyone talks a lot of nonsense that could be trimmed.
>breaks sales record
Saving for Fontaine.
I mean, when compared to FGO the story of genshin really does feel kinda bland.
I don't care about stories in video games.
be honest with me... why do you play and support these kinds of games... you are actually getting farmed for your time and money.... Do you not remember what good games were?
Be honest with me... why do you brainlessly shitpost... you are actually farming me for (You)s.... Do you not remember what good discussion on Ganker was?
I'm waiting for the GPU market to unfrick itself so I can play new games, until then I'm content with chinese timewaster.
Fricking how? You get like 10 minutes of gameplay a day once you're out of story/exploration stuff.
Is this autism hour?
I’m talking to Yanfei again for the first time in months, so I guess so. Her AI isn’t too bad, anons here should try talking with her
Looms
Are these threads like this often when people try to dicuss it?
It feels strange for Ganker it feels more like /vg/ tourists.
There's a Venti thread for those who like femboy if that's your thing
Whos the seciest kid in the game?
And why is it klee?
>200 years old
>kid
Klee is like 6 though?
Collei exists
Collei is just for rape
Klee is 10 out of 10 years old
and very delicious
why do people keep aging up the e-girls?
It's so fricking gross and the clothes dont suit adults
>sample
same
>avoid game because i keep hearing it's just a gacha meant to suck your money
>finally give it a try
>it has more content than any game from recent memory
>everything can be obtained for free, you only spend money if you want
Thank you China, you can have my data.
are there alt costumes or anything?
Teapot should have a basement or dungeon where we put misbehaving girls
I have C0 Raiden, should I run her in hyperbloom, with National, or do copium hyper Raiden with C6 Sara?
Raiden is OP. She'll elevate practially every team you put her in.
is it possible to enjoy this game without spending ANY irl money or grinding on it 99 hours per day?
The game doesn't have grind, you aren't going to get a stronger account by playing more time because progression is tied to resin and it takes you like 10 minutes to burn it each day. And yes you can do all the overworld shit even weak and low level.
>nothing to do besides Abyss
>1 new character every two months (small indie company)
>log off
It's trash.
Cute bait, here is your (you)
Btw you made me realize that they are quite consistent with character releases. 17 in 2021 and 17 in 2022.
But it's not bait.
4* don't count as new characters since they're unplayable garbage on purpose.
I don't do events or commissions because they're wagie chores.
Exploration is shit and the dialogue and story are terrible and unskippable.
Thus, only the Abyss is actually worthwile content. Cope.
>4* are unplayable garbage
Your mom is a really sweet woman too
>daily chore simulator
>"play"
let me guess you're some SEA ape?
>did a few sessions
>Genshin didn't crash
I hope it stays that way
whats going on? ive never experienced a crash with this game. is it from the recent update or something? im playing on PC btw
It's a tripgay, so they're probably a 3rd worlder playing on a decade old laptop
I literally only jerk off to Genshin girls and boys and the multitude of various fetishes people draw them in.
How many / what characters do you get throughout the story of the game, without the stupid gatcha shit?
only the boring 4 star characters the game is literally just a slot machine designed that you spend money on it.
All characters are part of the story.
>5 rolls into soft pity
>No Raiden
Don't do this to me, Wei.
I also play Blue Archive.
Hurry up and add a new cryo DPS who isn't a giant forehead b***h or a bow prostitute so I can use my Shenhe in a proper team
KB+M or pad?
Keyboard is pretty clunky to play with though is it the superior way to play Genshin?
pad
kb+mmo mouse here, otherwise id use a controller
Is there any reasons they focus so much on generic NPCs ? It feels they purposely avoid adding depth to characters. It's ridiculous how little you interact with the cast.
im glad im not a moron who's addicted to one game like you, i can experience many different games with a lot of different variety of gameplay and story, i pity gays like you
POST COLLECTIONS! NOW!
>tfw when finally beat Inazuma and can finally start leveling up Nahida and Cyno respectively
>finally start leveling up Nahida and Cyno respectively
Nothing was stopping you from just waltzing into Sumeru.
not all of it. i kept getting pushed out of certain saying it was too dangerous for me to explore. so i wasnt able to fight Dendro Hypos and collect Quelled Creepers unless i played in someone elses world. i dont know if that was because i didnt beat Ei or what but now im able to fully explore it after doing so.
Dehya next I guess, might try to snag C2 Yaoyao though
I started about 3 months ago but I played for over a thousand hours already according to AMD adrenaline, since i have so much time
i'm so fricking slow with this given the hours i put it
Sara fricking hates me
sir where is your sara?
>i do nothing but grind artifacts 24/7
Lmao at your life
>lvl 42
>mfw still use Lisa as main DPS with Barbara and Spicy Bear for reactions
>+40 purple weapons
>+10 purple artifacts
if it works, why change
do you roll ever? How many Primos?
haven't checked lately but 15k+
i rolled 3 other purple characters
geo liyue mommy
racoon sonic e-girl
zombie nun
idk if they're good since i haven't leveled them
I hate gachaBlack folk so damn much.
why?
I'd rather not play anything if I where (You).

i dont get why they cant have more content and events it's not like they dont have money.
At least its not as bad as pokemon but that's not hard bar to do better than
>more content
>when there's a major update every 6 weeks
What other game gets new content that frequently? Next week we're getting an expansion to the desert along with associated quests
They're already shipping a new playable area every 3 months with minigames in between. They could add more moronic grinds but would that really help? Their focus is on adding new areas and that's where the game's at its strongest, just running around and collecting shit in neat visuals with anime girls.
I dont even play the game anymore but you gotta be a crackhead genshin addict to want even more content, also it doesnt matter how much money you have at some point the team would get too big to be manageable and would probably even slower
>Project X (shooter game) fell apart due to quality concerns, dev statements cited company getting too large to manage
>there are now rumors about core Genshin producers leaving the company
nah bro just hire more staff just make more shit lmao
the latest event is just doing leylines but you get double the drops.
Before that it was a collect the balloons thing.
These aren't that good.
You can do them in like 10 minutes each day.
People who say this game has no grind are lying
>get the mats I need to upgrade the character/weapon I want to upgrade
>easy, just a couple minutes to spend resin esch day
>LOL JK YOU ALSO NEED 50000000000 HANDGUARDS LMAO ENJOY KILLING EVERY ENEMY IN THIS ENTIRE ISLAND
>BY THR WAY EACH OF THEM CAN >>
<<<<< DROP 1 SINGLE LOWEST TIER VERSION OF IT
Just don't upgrade characters to the max? Unless you want to perfect clear floor 12, you don't need maxed out characters
>just don't level your weapons/characters/talents and try to clear world level 7 content at level 20
Incredible advice
>he thinks you need to do any kind of serious grinding to get to level 80
Why lie?
>he thinks the 1 trillion handguards, masks, insignias, shitty flowers/ores that take 24h to respawn, slimes condensates etc just spawn in your inventory over night
Why lie?
You are such a lying sack of shit. Genshin is grindy as frick on purpose to provoke people into spending money.
How can you spend money on enemy drops? Even if you buy them from the in game shop using the in game currecy that everyone gets, you still only get a small amount every month
Same.

I play games with my friends when they call me but the only single player I play is genshin.
I feel Genshin makes for a very good side game. Something you play half an hour per day, then a bit more during big patches. You never really get tired of it. Meanwhile the bulk of my time is spent on other games of different genres.
It just werks.
Outside of big content updates, that's pretty much the point. They want you to play every day, but not spend all day playing it
I don't understant these morons complaining that they can't play it for 12 hours a day when it isn't a poop sock MMO
