I never played it. What do you do? Walk from point a to point b?? Are there enemies to fight?? I dont like the fact that the characters are all real life actors. Its kinda stupid.
>real life actors
what the frick? video games have been using actors as their models for years. i'm guessing this time is different though because they're using b and c-listers and kojima is giving them their roses.
some of you guys are so biased and for no real reason. it's moronic
I haven't touched it yet and I always thought it looked pretty stupid but for some reason this post makes me want to play it. It reminds me of how much I love FFXV despite being fully aware that it is a garbage game that I advise everyone else stay away from. If I can like a game that bad I bet I could like Death Stranding. Should install it now.
Wish that raising connection with Lou raised the BT detection range and speed, and that clearing giant BTs cleared an area for longer than 10 minutes, but otherwise no real problem with them. They're barely relevant once you connect an area for the first time.
I didn't like it at all when I played it at launch, but I was also just going through some shit at the time and was miserable 24/7. I was planning on giving it another shot this year. I figure I might like it better since my head is in a different place; I was pretty anhedonic back then.
Except those fricking off roading rocky terrain. Hideo Kojima doesn't understand there's off road tire and suspension that can easily go over small to medium sized rocks.
The physics are the worst part of the gameplay for sure, and given what the core loop is, that’s kinda unforgivable imo. Still a decent game but tough to recommend.
One of the best games from the last gen. To me Kojima and Death Stranding embody what videogame development should be all about. Trying new things to bring an interactive story with interesting gameplay, throwing conventions out of the window by letting your creativity run loose and in this regard, Kojima delivered. That panel with Kojima, Mikami and Suda from 2007 aged so well. Both Kojima and Mikami spoke on how they longed for creative liberty as Suda had - to make "games that don't necessarily sell". And look now, Kojima creates Death Stranding, one of the most bold and ambitious games in our recent generation.
glad you liked it 🙂

Same. I'm almost done with my offline playthrough and then DS2 comes out hopefully.

Same here
I stopped playing death stranding to play elden ring, which I also stopped to play the latest patch of Genshin Impact(tm)
The game that filtered billions
It's not for everyone and that's okay. Everything doesn't have to appeal to every person.
game would be funner without BTs
No. You feel that way because you got tired of them but the game would be a lot less interesting without them, especially on a first play through.

i really hope
>autistic simgay game but with an actual story and characters attached to it
manages to become a genre
I'm fine with any sim that at least has an ending and doesn't try to endless generate content or rely on endlessly replaying gigs/maps/missions.
I got it for free during the EGS winter sale and I never intend to play it.
>Ganker shits on movie games and walking simulators
>but loves Death Stranding
>a literally movie game/walking simulator
You guys are hypocrites.
Black person
When does it get good? When i start building a netwrok? I got a couple of spots connected... i guess. This shit is hard to follow.
When you have a bigger arsenal and planning your trips correctly becomes critical.

The game wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't unnecessarily janky. The combat is so fricking hard for no reason.
the game's so boring
