The beta had more lax boundaries and a lot of the forest maps were arduous shitpiles. Entire teams basically just scattered to the fringes of the maps, never actually openly engaging with one another, just everyone playing essentially a sniper. They shored them up probably a bit too much on a few maps to force everyone into actually fighting.
You could still shoot when doing no-nos like that in RO2, so it was a little more forgiving
RS2 boundaries are designed to always inconvenience you at the worst possible moment.
yes, game is very good. was playing the shit out of it a few months ago. only complaint really is that it doesnt encourage more realistic tactics like playing as a fireteam. you have a squad, but you really dont need to be near them at all
the game can be frustrating in that regard, on some maps a single squad actually sticking together and communicating often can swing an entire match. This almost always happens on the enemy team when you're playing alone though.

- Set your binds to SCRL Up and SCRL Down = Switch weapons
- Go apeshit on the scrollbar
The Coding is (was?) SO SHIT that by quickly swapping weapons you can carry up to 5 primary weapons. Yes. No scripts, no hacks. Just going fast
- Suicide if your pickup function breaks. This is where the other player comes in (Squad leader)
- After a while you should be able to autospawn a weapon flooding the server
At this point the server will crash and can only be manually restarted. Until it is manually restarted the game on the server browser will show up as ongoing. I once got an official SEA server crash and it wasn't restarted for 5 days. Honestly the coding is shit, evident in the fact that RS2 was RO2's same exact bugs.

Last time I did this was about 2 or 3 years ago. Get a friend be SL, lock the squad and have him just stand by E. When your scroll stops working just suicide and spawn on him. You gotta go fast.
I just hate this map. If you are an attacker you must go uphill against losers camping in the bushes. You can capture A but good luck keeping it for more than one minute.
In chivalry 2 if youre a defender you will just randomly start spawning 500 meters further away from the point once you get close to winning.
For the longest time i thought it was triggered by the attackers making progress and it just turns out to bee a simple timer. Youre litterally programmed to lose.
What a shame. I played Chiv 1 ten years ago and loved it. I'm planning to play Chiv 2 when I upgrade to a better card but I read bad things about the balance like how defenders are at bigger disadvantage so more players switch to the attacker side.

I didnt like the sound design and HLL, its pretty bad and the maps all share the same rectangle shape which is pretty boring. I just play squad now.

RO2 had vastly better infantry combat with the suppression and weapon leaning/physics.
I liked RO1's damage system more, shooting guns out of people's hands and kneecapping people was fun.
