silver tears, mimic tears, and oracle envoys are albinauric creatures made by the eternal cities.

seeing as the eternal city's silver tears are essential to making an albinauric, its likely they are a form of precursor creature to albinaurics
    >Albinaurics are lifeforms made by human hands.

furthermore, Thops literally says albinaurics were originally made by the eternal cities in some of his dialogue (not sure if its cut though)
    >Oh, one more thing... beware the Albinaurics... accursed souls born of a forbidden rite of the Eternal City.
silver tears & mimic tears are found exclusively around the eternal cities.
    >but oracle envoys arent found in the eternal cities??
they moved above ground, but there is proof they used to be underground.

the names of the claymen bubble sorceries, Great Oracular Bubble and Oracular Bubble, are the exact same as the name of the skills on the oracle envoys horns.
it seems likely that the lost oracles the claymen are searching for are the oracle envoys (nothing else in the game is described as an oracle anyways), and claymen are found exclusively underground, around uhl/uld palace ruins, which are always nearby or above an eternal city.

      >Harpoon with a tip made from a sharpened meteorite shard.

      >The warped remains of priests who searched for revelation in service of the ancient dynasty, they employ two sorceries that produce smaller and larger bubbles.
      >Sorcery of the claymen who served as priests in the ancient dynasty.
the claymen were priests, meaning the ancient dynasty worshiped something

      >Oracle Bubbles
      >Great Oracular Bubble
      >The claymen search for lost oracles within their bubbles.
they seem to have a relationship with oracles and divination.

astrologers could read the fate in the stars, in other words, read the stars to perform divination.

the uhl palace ruins are infested with two malformed stars and two starcallers, plus wing of astel sitting in a chest in uhl ruins

      >theory
i think the uhl/uld dynasties may have worshiped the stars, meteors, or just heavens above in general. the claymen using their bubbles to search for lost oracles isnt insanity from being turned into a clay person, the names of the bubble sorceries are literal. claymen can use them to divine somehow and thus search for their lost oracles, in the same way astrologers used to be able to read fate by looking at the sky. judging by the malformed stars sitting around their ruins, they may have gotten fricked over by the stars eventually just like the nox did.

The inverted hawk shield, the ghostflame torch and some other items talk about the Hawk Squadron or Band or Knights going underground and then got stuck down there. They are the knights from Stormwind when it became Stormveil and they lost their honor.
Don't know if they could be a link to the underground and albinaurics or not, could be some other story tidbit entirely.

I think the Hawk Squadron tragedy is it's own insular story unrelated to the Albinaurics. Ghostflame is brought up sometimes in regards to necromancers and the Deathbirds IIRC, it might have a bigger part in the coming DLC

that's how screenshots taken in Steam with in-game HDR enabled come out. Steam takes screenshots in .jpg format and not .png, so it loses part of the color information used to render the pic in full vivid color. In game, if I go into steam overlay and look at the screenshots, they look normal. I was joking about how looking drained and lifeless is immersive

I'm dumb and even I see a link in the yellow to orange to red miracles being linked as madness to fury. Sorceries have cold ice being light blue all the way to invisibility with dark blue and then gravity in purple.
Spirits follow a similar color shifting.
Normal gold miracles shift from pale whitish gold to a darker hue of orange gold as it goes from erdtree to golden order.

the deathbirds were the original wielders of the black flame, it is written, in communion with their primordial outer god of the death birds, who I personally wonder might be the same outer god god death that fia serves and seeks to reincarnate. How many outer gods could exert control over death without any documented conflict or mention of the two together anywhere?

I think Fia's just a zombie fricker. She doesn't give the impression of being in touch with the deathbirds' outer god or ancient order, unlike Mohg, Shabriri, or Gowry.

i think Fia's master is deliberately obfuscated, the baldachin's blessing flavor text says it's the blessing of a hidden temple - there's some meaning in those deliberate words. A temple is for communing with or at least serving gods, and this god, we are told, is hidden and unknown

Wrong. Mimics are purely artificial life forms created by the Nox from mercury (quicksilver). They did this as part of their larger attempt to usurp the greater will and creation itself, a crime for which the nox civilization was destroyed. The silver tears copy the form and function of normal life forms they encounter. It is possible, but unclear, if the "Nox" we encounter are the last members of their kind, or merely silver tear copies of the original.

Eventually, the carians and/or other sorcerers of Raya Lucaria found this technology, and attempted to copy it, but failed. They were only able to get the silver to work by directly mixing it with flesh, producing the albinaurics (literally, "silver golds"), who are effectively alchemical cyborgs. Gen 1 albinaurics were likely corpses treated with silver, reanimating them. This is why they look like humans, and they defects are consistent with mercury poisoning. Second generation albinaurics were likely made with a more homogenous mixture of silver and flesh. But in both cases, the resulting creature has a single fixed form, although the gen 2's show some affinity for copying form (or perhaps more precisely, algamation) as shown by the blood tinged ones in nokron.

The origin of envoys is unclear. They are probably albinauric, given their white flesh but solid form, but there's no lore about who made them or why. Perhaps an experiment by Radagon?

Marika is analogous to 'merica, the erdtree is analogous to the tree of liberty, taking death out of the elden ring is analogous to printing money to stave off economic depressions, and Marika establishing her age of plenty with genocide and subjugation is like America achieving the post-WW2 prosperity by getting mountains of people killed and subjugating the West.
The moral of the game is that the liberty you think you have is, like the erdtree, an illusion; artificially stopping death (of the economy) is bad and opens your country up to being hijacked by hostile foreign entities (outer gods = yids); and the only way to fix things is to burn the system down (like the erdtree was literally burnt down) and start over.

I'm annoyed all the Maidens in this game die after you finish their quests. Melina, Hyetta, Millicent, Fia.

Really annoyed Radiant Baldachin's Blessing doesn't restore itself upon resting at a bonfire. Thematically the blessing is Fia comforting you and warding you away from pain by giving you a semblance of the sweet embrace of death. The Radiant Blessing is born out of genuine admiration instead of duty. It shouldn't be a buffed version of the Blessing it should be a "permanent" version of it.

Baldachin's Blessing is underrated imo. It only costs you 5% of your vigor, which is negligible, and when you consume it you get a big poise boost + damage negation for 15 seconds. There were many times for me where it gave me that final push that I needed to overcome a boss.

You're a douche, but I get what you mean. I have a genuine interest in the story in these games, but the discourse surrounding video games is constantly catering to the dumbest people imaginable, YouTube video essay viewers, so it can't just have a story worth discussing. It instead has to have "lore," and the videos need to be ten times as long as they actually should be since there's ad revenue to be made.

All that said, you are dumber than the people who watch those videos if you have played these games and weren't able to walk away from it with at least some idea of what you just spent tens of hours doing.

The erd tree is actually the nexus from demon souls but several thousands of years have passed. The nexus was upgraded slowly absorbs the life force from the old one and it is now in the form of a tree. The elden beast then comes and attaches itself to the erd tree and becomes a parasite and uses the remnant powers of the old one to warp reality and made the elden ring.

When Radogan fricked Rennala Marika got pregnant at the same time. This is why Melina and Ranni share the same soul.

Also, the golden order never happened. It was the age of the Gloam eyed queen which is Ranni-Melina.
When Marika shattered the Elden ring it retconned the golden age metaphysically to stop the Gloam eye.

So, only the shattering war and aftermath is real. The golden order is a false memory. The wandering tombs are magic that kept aborted potential golden order timelines from being erased, even thought the godskins did kill or snort these timelines.

Why are ranni gays so obsessed with trying to construe their bad waifu to be EVEN MORE central to the story than she already is? It's not enough that she started the whole fricking world war, no, she also has to be involved with shit that happened before she was born!

Because her spirit thing is literally Melina’s face model and they each share a closed eye opposite each other marked by the ravens claw the deathbird and where meilina opens that eye it’s Gloam eyed

        Jesus this is the basics

          Anonymous

          >Because her spirit thing is literally Melina’s face model
No, it literally isn't. Melina's eye is also missing because Maliketh tore it out, not anything to do with Ranni, and Ranni has absolutely no connections to the GEQ at all, and was born well after GEQ was defeated. Melina is VASTLY older than Ranni. She existed before the golden order, probably related to Marika if not literally Marika's disembodied spirit. Ranni was conceived by Radagon, who did not exist until well after the golden order was made, and Marika started to change her mind about it.

Greater Will is losing hard against the other great ones so it adopted the strategy of seeding as many worlds as it can to survive . It doesn't even try to protect the worlds , as soon as there's a hint the other great ones are gaining influence it GTFOs .Rinse and repeat. Lands between is already considered a lost cause,Marika somehows knows that and does the Shattering to spur the entire world into taking action before its too late

The game was originally called Erden Rune but they went with Elden Ring instead to trick tards and casuals into thinking that it has something to do with The Elder Scrolls and/or Lord of the Rings.
