I noticed that there are people on twitch who play this game over and over again, does it really have this much replayability?

Yes, it's fun
will play it when im done with EW anything that i should watch out for
insectoids look moronic and are more annoying
Overall it's a better game I think, but it's lost a bit of sovl
also turn off the DLC first playthrough
yes make sure you pick the tactical legacy ost when you start 2
don't bother with labs or workshops.
unlike in EU/EW, they serve zero purpose and are basically moron traps.
I somehow spent 250 hours in a single month only playing this. I had to force myself to uninstall it since I knew it would seep away whatever life I had left.
You've made the right call. I'm at 1700 hours in it and I have nothing but regrets in my life.
I've done it too and I don't know how.
I was doing only 2 missions a day and somehow 3-4 hours have passed.
yah
What makes the lost more tolerable?
I find early missions with them to be annoying
The mod that allows Templars to recover actions when killing them with their melee attack. Is it completely broken? Yes. Does it completely invalidate the Lost as a threat? Yes. Does anyone care? No.
Unmodded a bladestorm templar works fine.
you absolutely need the resistance order that makes killing a lost not take up an action, its from the reapers
>Attacking any Lost unit with a Standard Shot triggers a mechanic called Headshot; killing a Lost with a standard shot does not cost an action.
you dont need an order for that
unless you get the lost dark event, every map with them is a city map with few if any advent troops.
just park a dude on a balcony and you're golden.
modding them out
Since this is an XCOM thread should I skip the first one and go to the sequel?
No, play the first game +DLC, the second game without DLC, then second game with DLC
No, especially if you're new to X-com games, the 2013 one would have just the right balance of things to get you started.
first is very good. You'd be doing you're a disservice if you skip it.
is this game a good starting point or should I go for xcom 2012 or the originals? I got the older ones on steam but not the 2012 xcom reboot.
playing the old ones first gives you a good idea of what mods you should be running in nu-com
The original game (XCOM: UFO Defense) is pretty good if not a masterpiece but you might need openxcom sourceport for increased resolution.
The original game with openxcom is a top ten game of all time
people always whine about nucom removing TU but when you think about its basically the same, you either save enough TU to have for a shot/action or just use them all
i enjoy having freeaim and 16 soldiers on the field
I replayed it until I had too many mods for my computer to handle. One day I will upgrade and spend another 500 hours on it.
Yes
who the frick sends a max of 6 guys to kill an alien fricking base?
Small resistance team
Prease understand
Its time to play Xpiratez
https://www.moddb.com/mods/x-piratez
Does piratez work on the android version of openxcom
How the hell are you gonna play Xcom on a mobile platform? Unless its some tablet and of a decent size too.
I have the bigger samsung one
I didn't like War of the Chosen. Maybe I'll give it another shot. But I just want an XCOM 3 now. I also would prefer if they focused on making more cool weapons and gene mods instead of all the psi magic shit.
