There's a reason girls on DDR pads are beating these games. They're unforgiving but once you have it down it's really nothing. Look at how Ganker talks about Counter Strike. They claim it has bad hit reg, then when you say it's mechanics working as intended they just mock the mechanics but also while posting videos of extremely low skill play and claiming the game screwed the player over. They literally just won't learn the fundamentals of the game and cry about it endlessly when they get shit on but the narrative resets to "bad hit reg" when the game is working as intended. Good reaction time? Most fights in souls games are not fast at all. It's just patience and thoughtful timing but not like fast reflexes or anything. From Soft games are the only "hardcore" games I've seen disabled people play as well.
I'll give you an example.
I was fighting Malenia, and every time she jumps super high in the air to telegraph Waterfowl, I don't immediately register it until like 1 full second later. I even use Bloodhound's Step, but I don't create the distance in time because I have terrible reflexes.
I also struggled with Lorian, first phases. I could never get the timing of his dodges because I don't learn particularly quickly, and he teleports around a lot too, which also throws off my timing. If I back off and Estus, he does a jumping attack, which completely negates any amount that I healed.
