The switching mechanic and multiple protagonists of V was so divisive. Why would Rockstar go with it again for VI?
It literally added nothing, it could have been fine if implemented differently (such as being able to play the entire game from start to finish as either Franklin, Michael or Trevor), but they implemented it so terribly and forced people to play characters they don't like and gated content behind specific characters and made switching such a tedious chore that it was atrocious.
Why are Rockstar like this?
The alternative being that people are forced to play an entire game with a protag they don't like? Plenty of people liked all 3 protags, for GTA anyway. Every GTA/RDR protagonist is an butthole that feels "misunderstood" by society. You aren't supposed to completely like them; they're crooks.
