There should have been more testfires to improve the netcode before launch. Splatoon 2 had 2 testfires. Still had problems at launch but no where near as bad as Splatoon 3's connection errors.
Besides the connection problems, it is strangely buggy compared to the other games. I don't think I ever really had any in 1 or 2, but I've personally encountered several playing 3, not to mention all the other random ones people have posted.
I think Nintendo's standards for their releases have slightly fallen in recent years. Not like there's any huge game breaking bugs like games from other companies, but you do run into more bugs than you used to and that's kind of sad.
Another issue is the balance of things like the tricolor battles and the random loadout in Salmon Run. Hell, maybe even the entirety of Salmon Run. You'd expect Nintendo to have ironed all this stuff out long before release.

online was bad, there were several glitches that locked you out of bounds. a duplication glitch and a few other things paired with it needing more content that was basically base in other games being patched in
I ran into a few bugs as far back as BOTW and a few in Xenoblade 3. Nothing serious, but more than what I'm used to in a Nintendo game which is none at all. Of course, I personally haven't seen any bugs in Splatoon 3, but sometimes I think their quality control might be slipping a little.
Yeah it's extremely rushed compared to the others. It actually reminds me of 2's testfire which was clearly heavily unfinished from the effects, music and special icons alone - but they finished it up for release. With 3 it still heavily feels like that unfinished state but this time around its even more unfinished in general. Very buggy with some design flat out missing. The bow animations are janky in general too compared to 2 and 1 which had very polished animations for all weapons.
Also Mr. Grizz has horrendous dialogue in English during Salmon Run, not sure if it's a localisation issue or his lines are shit in Japanese too written by someone who doesn't understand his character. Everything new doesn't fit him nor his 'shady corporate' persona compared to his old lines. Strangely shit.
Oh and the fricking MAPS. NO chance they playtested the new ones thoroughly. Grab a long range weapon for clam blitz on a new map and GG you just won / tied. Enemy team can't do shit to you. Hideous.

English Grizz is a different character from jap Grizz as far as I can tell, so it'd be on the localizers.
For some schizo posting, it may be possible that the person who originally wrote those lines got swapped out, if they're the same person that "localized" Marina in the original release.

Though I don't know if Splatoon 3's code could handle it. Ink would have to dry up or disappear after time or when you're too far away. Plus you'll need transportations between levels. Also areas would be locked until you cleared enough levels/challenges.

Well. By all means it should be. It has sold amazingly. Has had an extremely high player retention. Has been extremely favourably received among its audience. And with the absolutely bullshit categories that Keighley's show has such as "best ongoing game" etc, it's silly that Splatoon won't win a single reward let alone the actual GotY award.
They are clearly biased against games like Splatoon that look both very Japanese and what they cast aside as too immature.
This is the weirdest new and samey experience ive had. On one hand it feels like the game is full of content and on the other it feels empty at the same time. The formula for Salmon Run and vs mode is so solid but at the same time its the same shit weve been doing. It would have been perfect if they had added one new game mode and no cards dont count. I will say though tricolor having those random chance battles and tricolor splatoffs was very fun and fresh but were only getting those once every few months so i dont know.
Salmon run spin-off with campaign, more rewards and more everything when? It's mostly the thing I care about and 3 doesn't seem like it's improved enough to justify a 60$ purchase, even though I'd still mess with other modes a bit. Well. By all means it should be. It has sold amazingly. Has had an extremely high player retention. Has been extremely favourably received among its audience. And with the absolutely bullshit categories that Keighley's show has such as "best ongoing game" etc, it's silly that Splatoon won't win a single reward let alone the actual GotY award.
They are clearly biased against games like Splatoon that look both very Japanese and what they cast aside as too immature.
This is the weirdest new and samey experience ive had. On one hand it feels like the game is full of content and on the other it feels empty at the same time. The formula for Salmon Run and vs mode is so solid but at the same time its the same shit weve been doing. It would have been perfect if they had added one new game mode and no cards dont count. I will say though tricolor having those random chance battles and tricolor splatoffs was very fun and fresh but were only getting those once every few months so i dont know.

Salmon run spin-off with campaign, more rewards and more everything when? It's mostly the thing I care about and 3 doesn't seem like it's improved enough to justify a 60$ purchase, even though I'd still mess with other modes a bit. I don't know guys, I might get friends to play with me but not really feeling it because it looks almost identical to 2 and haven't heard anything good about netcode either.

Yeah it's fricked, the game was clearly rushed out or had development issues since they're using a new online infrastructure and it's just not working well.
