I would like to play other multiplayer FPS, but nothing really seems to be as enjoyable in comparison and much of what's modern is so similar it blurs together.
Play the Deep Rock Galactic.
why? I looked it up and it looks like a PvM game that's not even alive as l4d2
Because it's the greatest co-op game ever created.
>not even alive as L4D2
L4D sucks ass, and DRG has never been more alive.
>DRG has never been more alive.
So it's more alive than ever and it has less players than a 15 year old game, which is supposedly worse? I'm really confused.
DRG is a niche indie game, and a magnificent one at that.
Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but that keeps its quality high.
I don't know a single person IRL who would have given DRG a shot and would NOT have loved the living shit out of it.
Unlike in, say L4D or KF, where you play the same maps, do exactly the same thing over and over again, DRG keeps things fresh with procedurally generated, fully destructible maps, that are placed around around a dozen varied Biomes. The maps being placed under ground, on an alien planet, make the random generation feel way more natural + allows way more whacky creativity.
The gameplay of DRG has way more verticality, more depth than your average shooter, with a good chunk of the missions usually revolving around 3D environmental "problem solving" when you're spelunking and mining under ground. That is, until it switches gears and turns into the greatest unofficial Starship Troopers simulator.
The playable classes = some of the best balancing I've seen in a video game in the past few decades.
Not a single character type is useless, each of them bring practical benefits for the whole team.
The weaponry and traversal tools are satisfying, and the customization options are also great; you can legit have all 4 players play the very same class, yet have them not only look, but also PLAY very different from each other.
The game essentially has zero modern cancers;
you buy the game for the few pennies it costs (it's like 9$ on Humble), and you get the FULL GAME.
No microtransanctions, no "battle passes", all DLC are pure cosmetics.
Not only that, but you got private servers and full modding support, right out of the box. And the servers are P2P based, so no fear of the game "dying" at some point because of main servers going down or whatnow.
tl;dr:
>Kickass attitude
>Fun & varied gameplay
>OST is banger
>Great optimization
>Install size is 2GB
>Devs are bros, not garden gnomes
>So it's more alive than ever and it has less players than a 15 year old game
I think you should just play CS:GO or Valorant, as gaming is clearly just a popularity contest for you.
>think you should just play CS:GO or Valorant
I do, I stated that clearly in the OP.
I’m biased to co-op shooters and DRG’s only problem is that it doesn’t appeal to me.
play TF2 Classic
nah I tried it 2 days ago and everything about tf2 is wrong now. that game is so messed up it can never be fixed. overwatch is unironically better, a whole lot better, and I don't like that game either.
I really did not like DRG.
Yeah I don't get the appeal either.
so out of the entire pool of available fps we got a procgen pvm game and a dead game even the devs don't like any more. grim.
there's a reason CS is popular to this day. There's nothing better out there, OP.
>There's nothing better out there, OP.
Surely there is at least something different that is competently put together.
It's basically just Valorant if you want something that gives you the same kind of raw feel that you get in CS. Everything else is full of clumsy "immersive" crap that muddies up your controls and and makes the game unreadable. I guess Overwatch was pretty straight up feel-wise but that game sucks.
Honestly my main issue with valorant is that I have to use that shitty riot launcher.
just wait for counter strike 2.
it's free for anyone that owns cs:go.
how the fuck do you even enjoy CS? its honestly horrificly boring with the amount of downtime there is where you're not even playing
t. peaked at LEM
>downtime
wym
>sitting in site waiting for pushes that never come
>sitting in site after planting waiting for retakes that never come
>saving in general
>timeouts
>15 second setup every round
>"technical" timeouts"
>eco rounds
>dying and waiting for 2 minutes before you get to play again
you know...downtime.
>30 seconds of waiting is unbearable
yeah, take a break from the zaza, kid. your shit is friend.
*fried
this is why i quit r6s
game has great atmosphere and, good gunplay and fun gadgets
but goddamn is 90% of the game just waiting for shit to happen
>its honestly horrificly boring with the amount of downtime there is where you're not even playing
By not being a terrible entry fragger.
>horrificly boring with the amount of downtime there is
?
brother, lay off the weed, porn, and social media. take a dopamine detox, ur shit is fried out man.
bf1 is still great
hell let loose is a neat tactical ww2 shooter on the light side
deep rock is pure soul
and titanfall 2 is on sale RIGHT NOW
>bf1 is still great
I'm not so sure about that one lol
