Climbing giant enemies felt boring in horizon
You dont climb enemies in horizon.
see it was so forgettable you don't even remember
the wandering ubislop towers aren't enemies.
Yeah Tetris really needs a grappling hook and lore
Tetris is boring. Best part is the music.
Actually a grappling hook would improve tetris
>instead of blocks falling you hook them and it has a physics engine
Sounds based
You should clarify grappling gun. Regular grappling hooks from shit like far cry 4 is pretty boring.
>good lore
/qa/ lost
when are they going to make jaks bannable as low effort posts
they do, people just keep posting them
See rainworld
Is Ganker REALLY just recycling Rebbit content?
the "good lore" gave it away
You can also tell from the filename.
why wouldn't we? No point in pretending we're better
Just go back instead.
if we're just pulling random reddit tweets to post, then I'm already here.
There's some bot that does this too. Some guy uploaded a breaking bad thread to Ganker the other week and every reply was just a youtube comment from the video of the scene the thread was about
Thats like 99% of “content” here. All those anti FNV images that look like they were cobbled together by a schizophrenic baboon? Theyre from reddit. Thats one example but since tourists and raiders love to treat this place like a dumping ground, this is what you get.
>main menu uses a real-time render of a place in the game world
>starting the game removes the menus and seamlessly puts you straight into the game
>title screen changes as you progress or beat the game
>game credits end with a group photo of the dev team
>dark or mirror version of the protagonist with equal skills and abilities
>final/secret level is hidden within the starting area
>diegetic UI like Metroid Prime's visor or Gloomwood's inventory
>concept art unlockable in-game
>can spam a move or abuse a mechanic to go faster, SotN for example
>your character falls asleep if you don't touch the controller for a while
>game has a fake-out final boss
>you can overhear enemies talking about things you did recently
>Big Head Mode
>games within the game, like Anaconda + Lunar Landers in TimeSplitters 2
>enemy/boss is watching you, like King Allant overseeing Boletaria or Old Ones in BB
>enemies become scared of the player once you become much stronger than them
>enemies can fight each other
>credits thank the player
>rival jobber character you fight multiple times, gains strength each time
>torch required to navigate dark areas
>stronger and unique enemies that appear only at night
>game lets you play as the antagonist or a boss after beating the game
>NPCs run inside or take shelter if it starts raining
soulful
Are there any games like this?
Dragon's Dogma.
Trash game
I wouldn't say trash but definitely overrated as fuck
Fair enough, I give it 6, it's below average and yes it's so overrated specially in here Ganker
It's definitely above average but that's only because ARPGs have a low bar to clear
No, I'm not giving you this one, it's below average and it shows, if it was an some small company game i wouldn't say this.
Eh, not really, you can't even name a medieval ARPG with a better combat system.
That's what I thought, you are one of those dd gays. And i take it back DD is a fucking trashy, i was trying to be fair but never mind, and also you gays always brings up combat because that's only thing going on for you, just because it dose one thing "alright" it doesn't make the entire game better retard. Also fuck you I'm not wasting my time in this one anymore.
Oh okay you're just one of those retards that got filtered.
Sorry but if your game is an ARPG and it doesn't have good combat it's worthless. It's why I said the genre has a very low bar, most of them are just stat based games that should be turn based but are in real time so they can fool brainless dipshits like you into thinking they're "skill intensive" in spite of being number smashing simulators. DD's combat isn't stellar but it's better than anything else the genre has put out in spite of the game's failings in gearing, tuning, and amount/variety of content.
Name 137(one hundred and thirty-eight) kinos that do all of these.. I'll wait
There's lots of games that do one or some, be hard pressed to find one that does even half let alone all.
That being said its a great list, well done anon, well done.
>concept art unlockable in-game
I personally hate this shit. nobody gives a fuck about your crayon drawings on a starbucks napkin
>good characters
>undertale
>good lore
CLAIM
THE WINDS
You want good characters? Got it, here's 10 morons and trannies, also everyone in the game is gay. You're welcome 🙂
name one (1) game, you cant
furry shades of gray
furry shades of gay*
sorry
>Mass Effect 2
>the game that murdered ME
>good lore
lol
lmao even
>the game that murdered ME
sorry gramps, your contrarian take is too old to be taken seriously
I'll accept the concession
>contrarian take
NTA but this is a common take in many circles. It isn't hard to notice the massive tonal shift in writing between ME and ME2.
>every game needs to fulfill my subjective desires
Hate this shit. It's why nobody makes turn based games any more for example. Every game does not need fucking destructible environments, grappling hooks, and multiplayer for fuck's sake.
Fluid animations/gameplay/engine number one for me.
>good characters
>undertale
>how to make thing good
>make good constituent parts
retarded zoomer meme
>multiplayer
Too often it's forced in a game where it doesn't belong, same goes for singleplayer campaigns.
>good characters
>undertale
have a nice day furfag
Goddamn do I love grappling hooks. Just Cause 2 is the best
>he's got me with his grappling thingy!
I hate gamer redditors so much
why do you fags always say this when you're like one step away from being a common redditor? Ganker loves games with these things in them other than multiplayer
>Gankereddit loves it
Ganker absolutely loves Deep Rock Galactic and stuff like a grappling hook is not too different from physics and acceleration based movement systems like Tribes
it absolutely is, retard
>game is at least 80 GB in size
>1-2 minutes of unskippable intro
>need to accept tos to even reach the main menu
>game is single player but always online
>has a paid battle pass and shop
>pc port makes sure to use every fucking button on the keyboard
>and you can't bind a key to more than one action
>no fov slider or toggle aim option
fixed
>first example of a good OST is MGR
>first example of good lore is MASS EFFECT 2, not even 1, fucking 2
>first example of good characters is undertale
This image reeks of some underage b& whose first console was a 360
>chud nikki
this post reeks of an undilated chud
Fuck off underage cunt
for me, its the hud or ui that will make or break a game for me. I dont need to see 14 enemies through the walls, or how much health, armor, or their fucking sexuality.
Make the game tell you information, not a bunch of pointers and stats. If some enemy is tough, dont fucking put a skull icon over him. Design him so he is distinct and easy to identify from the pawns.
If this object is interable, dont fucking put red outlines around it or fucking objective markers. DESIGN it so that the cabinet, box, or container stands out.
so, except for climbable enemies... Deep Rock Galactic?
When you're 80-90 IQ and you're trying to make sense of the world
>grappling hook
I hate all that zoomer shit. I feel like wingsuits, etc. was the death of rocket jumping in games.
>how to make a good game: just add good stuff and make it good
damn why has nobody thought of this before
>mass effect
>good lore
>undertale
>good characters
4/10 bait made me reply
