The night gameplay is literally why I bought the game. I don't get why more games don't have realistic night lighting like this. Is there even one other game that has done this?
None. Most games simulate dark by using a lightsource equal to the sun and repurposed it as a moon, becasue its easier to do....same asset.
Thats why every fuckign major RPG has SHHADOWS in the nights and full moons.

pretty sad that nights go so overlooked, even if it is annoying I like the concept of the player cutting through almost solid darkness with what little light they have makes stuff feel much more atmospheric.
Having shadows with a full moon and a clear sky is nothing unusual, the problem is that in open world games it's always a full moon.

I wish for more variety in what night can look like in vidya but tbh in real life your eyes will acclimate pretty fast, even if there isn’t a full moon. The reality is nighttime looks like Mad Max Fury Road night scenes, which they filmed during the day and put a filter on and it honestly looks ugly as fuck, but is what it looks like out at night after 30 minutes. All these zoomers raging on now about how horrific the titanic ‘really’ was because it was actually pitch black out is blown out of proportion. Being inside and your first 10 minutes outside would be jarring as fuck, yeah, but it would nowhere be total darkness.

I've walked at night in the woods several times. When there's a bright moon above, it was possible to make out the trail in front of me without an additional light source as long as the foliage above wasn't dense enough to block most of the night sky. Without moonlight it is absolutely impossible to reliably see shit no matter how much the eyes adjust.

Short people also run slower than taller people. It's a minor detail but a lot of games actually get this wrong when aiming for realism. They went out of their way to account for leg height difference adding up when you sprint a distance.

I get filtered by the absolute slog that is the beginning of the game and that godawful escort quest every single time. I've made it to the capital city a few times but I always get filtered by the endless fields of identical bandits, wolves, and goblins.

Yeah the Hydrahead mission is a slog and the enemy variety is bad at some places( I really hope they include cycling/shuffeling spawns in 2) but what I find the worst even if you manage to go through the mines and skipping the Head mission ,zhey won't let you in the city.

This game won't run well on my computer and thats depressing, it stutters sometimes in the overworld and it especially drops frames in combat especially at night
The two towns are the strongest lag zones and weirdly enough the lag hits just from looking into specific directions
Only crutch is embracing console mode and running it at 30 so at least the framerate is stable but then its pretty stuttery because its unironically 30 fps
