Most of the gameplay is in the character building and then watching your kewl build slaughter things with what you've set up
The writing quality is generally poor but bearable
The troony shit is only there if you seek it out, this article was ragebait, the real statement is "we're just not gonna put slavery in our adventures from now on"
note that wrath has a whole-ass demonic slave market, lol
>we're removing a basic historical concept wholesale from this fictional world with rape demons
moronic >we're just not gonna write slavery in our adventures
terinally cucked but not terminally moronic

Wrath of the Righteous just got a new update that is pretty sizeable, haven't heard if it actually delivers tho. Hopefully another Arueanon can tell me if they finally do her epilogue some fricking justice.
Paizo is now full of homosexuals, Wizards is now full of homosexuals, I am sorry to tell you this anon but this hobby of ours, that was once ran by neckbearded homosexuals like you and me, got popular and so the bottom-feeding highlighter haired troons infested it. It has been that way for a long time now. Stick to your group, ignore the new homosexual shit, enjoy what you still can, they'll move on to some other fad eventually.
yeah stats out the ass, as other anons have said. My main complaint is that the enemy AI is practically non existent. they don't react to anything you do other than switching targets to the most vulnerable so you can cheese the whole game by using summons or pets to block them. basically I wouldn't bother playing on "core" or harder because it's just more tedious.
I remember skimming through Varg's core book and it was peak autism. There are mechanics used to track your character's aging by the second. It reminded me of those old systems from the 80s where you spend most of your time scouring the book looking for some obscure mechanic instead of actually playing. The setting is kind of cool, though.
Don't bother with kingmaker, it is just a straight-up worse version of Wrath. Wrath is a pretty good game, with the only real major critique being that Owlcat are a dogshit DM (the reason why kingmaker sucks ass comparatively) in regards to creating encounters that aren't just progressive stat inflation. This is only really an issue above core difficulty, however, which you should not bother going beyond. In terms of story it's fine, but its real merit is in pathfinder's character building system, which with the addition of the mythic path system allows you to go full on autistic with min-maxing, or simply create really interesting and viable RP builds. This also gives it a lot of replay value, on an already lengthy game, if you put much stock into that.
Frick off, Kingmaker is still good. Its a good thing its worse than Wrath, bc that means they did a proper sequel. Like Asscreed 2 to Asscreed. Still has a cool campaign with good characters. Its a great game for jumping into the Pathfinder franchise and makes Wrath not so overwhelming in terms of learning mechanics and building characters.
>Frick off, Kingmaker is still good.
It's ass. Half of the game is kingdom management, which is so dogshit they patched in an option to let it not be a thing. >Its a good thing its worse than Wrath, bc that means they did a proper sequel
It's not a sequel. The story has nothing to do with Kingmakers. Save a few cameos, you'll be missing absolutely nothing story wise playing wrath before kingmaker. >Still has a cool campaign with good characters
I'll agree the companions are good, but they aren't worth playing a game that just gets progressively worse and worse until it ultimately shits itself >Its a great game for jumping into the Pathfinder franchise and makes Wrath not so overwhelming in terms of learning mechanics and building characters.
Wrath does an astronomically better job at teaching a new player the pathfinder rules. Better in-game tips, better UI for character progression, better breakdown of dice rolls and what's happening in combat, actually showing you what feats are required for other feats, etc.
Well what campaign can even surpass Wrath anyway? They blew thier load on the power fantasy campaign for the 2nd game. Nobody wants another PF without mythic paths. Probably a good thing theyre doing Rogue Trader.
Mythics will be mostly dropped but there are a lot of big accomplishments to make.
Serpent's Skull has you kill a god
Ruins of Azlant has you Fight 2 Areelu tier big bads at once in the end and an deskari tier outsider giant
Tyrant's Grasp has you fight a Lich who is only not a god because it'd limit his power
>Based of WoTR assets
Iron gods >Possible
Serpents Skull
Reign of Winter
Rise of the Runelords >What I want
Strange Aeons so that a lovecraftian crpg finally exists.
We did. It wasn't very good. I should know. I pre-ordered it. I was so hype bros. Why did it have to be so disappointing?

Due to the nature of the system, CoC is always going to be hard to adapt into a video game, but yeah this just wasn't that good. The RPG elements felt like they didn't really matter at all and it was very tropey even by Lovecraft standards. Worth the $5 it's at now though I suppose.
>check their AMA >several posts asking "where's that modding tool you promised on the kickstarter?" go unanswered
the lazy fricks are worried (with good reason) that modders will outdo them
The IP owner.
Barneygay and its consequences have been a disaster for the Gankerirgin race.
So the answer is 'yes'. Thanks Anon 🙂
Actually we now have new information about how lazy the devs are.

so the company indeed bend over to not having slavery in their content tho?
that doesn't make it any better anon...
It's an RPG. If your group wants slavery to be in your game, then you can easily add it.

Terminally cucked is terminally moronic anon.

The people they hire.
The schizo poster.
Yeah, but be warned you do have to be an autist as these games are quite long and mechanically dense.
How mechanically similar are they to the tabletop rules? Because I'm already used to the complexity of 2e.
Very, they use the 1e ruleset though. There's also a lot of stat bloat in both games
They use 1e, but as other anon said
there is a lot of statbloat. Fighting twelve level 1-3 enemies with 20+ AC wearing leather armor and no buffs is hilariously dumb sometimes.

Yes, but Wrath of the Righteous is much better than Kingmaker.
The tabletop hobby is just so great nowadays...
Tabletop has never been better.
You can always play that moronic Varg game or Nu-TSR games if you are that mentally unwell.

Just play non-pozzed board games.

I'll be honest I dont want rogue trader I want a Mortal Kombat crpg.
The next game better leave northern Avistan and let me play a tropical adventure.
The next game is going to be Rogue Trader, no word on them doing another Pathfinder IP game.
Yeah but no way they leave behind pathfinder after putting all that work into assets.
>fawty kay
I fricking hate 40k so much, what a homosexual setting

Reign of Winter, so we can go on a reverse isekai and kill Rasputin.

When are we getting the vidya conversion, RPGbros?
We did. It wasn't very good. I should know. I pre-ordered it. I was so hype bros. Why did it have to be so disappointing?

Play wrath first and then kingmaker if you liked it.
Am I supposed to fell sorry for this loser?
No
Good I killed him and his brother and didnt fell nothing. Let Nurha go cause shes cute
No. Even as a Lich companion he is just awful and brings nothing to your party.
>aeon goes back in time and undoes his mistake
>just changes some dialogue
really makes you think
No, frick him
Aeon just made me hate him harder realizing he was still that same pathetic simp even after everything
