When scalping was still hot that would be a good deal. I would go to newegg and just put all the listed components in the prebuilt individually into the cart and see what the price adds up to. I am guessing you could save yourself ~500 if you build it yourself.

No. Didn't read the rest of your stupid fucking question, but my answer is objectively correct no matter how you finished it.
my 3080 is still rocking just fine and I paid only 800 for it after tax brand new. Never buy a GPU from the next generation. Always skip a generation. Im planning to get the 5090 this time beause im not a poorfag anymore.
I was hoping to hold out, but I got sick of not being able to get 4k@60 consistently anymore in newer games, and it looks like the 5 series isn't coming til 2025 at least. The "skip a generation" doesn't really apply here because of how unusually good a value the 4090 is (i use the term value loosely here), at least compared to previous x090 cards. Also, the difference in path tracing performance is massive, and you get frame gen with 4 series.
I game on a 75" TV, and I like to sit close, so no I didn't. Lower resolutions look like shit at that size.

How is it too big for my viewing distance? I chose a closer viewing distance on purpose. Dolby spec is 30 deg FOV, THX is 40 deg FOV for the back of the theater. Mine is 55 deg, which is more of a front theater experience, which I find more immersive. I could double the distance if I wanted, but I prefer it this way.

Stop posting these TV charts, they don't make any sense for under like 4 feet, which means PC, laptop, tablet, phone. And gaming especially with supersampling, AA, and difference in blurriness between 1440p 100 fps and 4k 60 fps.
This chart is telling me that I can't see a difference between 720p and 1080p on my phone. Are you telling me you can't?
But not only that, the intended purpose for this chart also makes no sense, at 12 feet, I can't apparently see the difference between 720p and 4k movie on a 52" monitor?

>Stop posting these TV charts, they don't make any sense for under like 4 feet
The equation doesn't change automagically at 4 feet anon.
Not to mention all of these charts are effectively exaggerated because they're based on the tiniest perceptible changes that you would be actively looking for. On the flip side, Nvidia and AMD try to convince everyone they can't see TAA tier vaseline screen smearing and similar nonsense in upscaling that consoles have been using for decades. Nobody truly factors in actual human perception in modern technology. It's all slow motion, still screen, zoomed in pixel peeping and lying about statistics to push you to buy something you wouldn't care about or don't want otherwise. It's probably anti-Semitic or something.
>temporary discount
it's been dropped to $1100 since august. 1050 is the new low but it's already had a drop for a while. But not at $1000 yet. It'll get there in about 3 months or whenever the supers drop
We let normies into the pc gaming hobby. Those idiots payed scammer prices during the lockdown and minign bullshit, so now the companies are never going to bring the prices back to a sane level. Remember, always gatekeep!
People who grow up with PC gaming as a hobby can afford to spend those prices now, and NVidia has no real competition at the high end, so get used to it. It's not going away.
Are there honestly people who think that's too much? I love video games, I pay way more than $1000 every few years for my other favorite hobby, fishing. To me, a top line GPU is worth $1K+ because its going to give me years of use. I overpaid slightly ($550) for my 3060ti due to COVID and still think it was worthwhile
Basically none of you understand how outrageously bad the GPU market actually is right now.
Imagine a 7900 XTX for like $500 or $600. That's where we'd be if you weren't mindless consumer whores.
VRAM is half of what gives your GPU longevity. It's not about the zoomer "RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!!" mentality. My 3080 is going to be rendered useless in newer games in 4 years at most because of stupid developers not optimizing anything on PC. Luckily, I probably won't care about playing them and will probably get another year or two out of it on top of those 4 years because I only I buy a new GPU when I can't run a game I'm actually interested in at a solid 60 FPS. I do the "unthinkable" and lower settings.
The die used. The 4080 isn't a cut down 4090 for example as they use different dies (102 vs 103). Flip it the other way and you get what AMD is doing with ryzen, threadripper and sort of with epyc - only 1 CCD (the bit with all the actual cores on it) is manufactured, they just glue a shitload of them together if they want more performance.
Oh I see, that makes sense. that's why there is no 101 dye, Novidia is keeping it for their industrial GPU's I assume.
and I figure the number after that is the ''quality'' or version (higher is better)
It's clear Nvidia always wanted the 4080 to be the 1440p defacto card. It just so happens they caught themselves with their pants down once the backlash started.
Someone explain to me why a gaming consumer would need anything close to a 4080/4090. What games are you fucking playing with this? You have render capabilities higher than actual workstations built to do real professional 3d work.
He's talking about with full path tracing which was never intended to be run at native. Top end cards are going to be unable to run whatever the next iteration of ray tracing difficulty is for well over a decade.
They want to play the newest garbage at max settings. Both Nvidia and AMD marketing try to get people to think they need to play at max settings. But now there's relatively new problem where developers don't even bother with PC optimization because Nvidia and AMD have convinced them that all PC players buy a new high end GPU every generation anyway. On top of that, most people don't actually beat the games they buy. They play for 5 or 6 hours at most and then abandons it in favor of a stream or a lets play. Ganker suffers from this same problem which is why so many people here have next to no idea what they're talking about and have awful opinions and taste.
>Game companies and GPU manufacturers colluding to make poorly optimized games so that you're forced to buy a high end GPU, also making it seem like the game you're buying is of higher value because it has higher PC requirements
Where's Gamergate when you need it
VR is pretty demanding. You need 72fps @ 5000x2500 minimum and 90fps @ 6000x3000 for comfy immersion.
I don't care if you think it's a meme at least it's not infested by normalfags and I like it
>at least it's not infested by normalfags >if you try to play any online game it's infested by 10 year olds screaming into their mics
yeah I mean if you hang out in VRChat all day sure lol
Because I like to play games at high resolution and high framerates and max settings.
Your turn, explain to me why someone from the first world wouldn't comfortably be able to buy a 4090. If you can afford it, there's no reason to not get it. If you can't afford it, you're a third worlder and you should stop playing games and start working harder instead.
What are they going to do? $500 4070, $600 4070 super, $700 4070ti, $800 4070ti super, $900 4080, $1000 4080 super? $600 4070 super would be great if it had 16GB VRAM, sadly probably only 4070 ti super will be worth. 12GB is going to be useless within the next year at this rate.
I remember dropping something like $400 or $500 on an EVGA GTX980 and thinking that was a lot of cash. That card lasted me six years and could easily tackle any game I played in that time. The only reason I updated was because I moved from 1080p to 1440p.
Looking at the hardware landscape today, and how things have gone over the past 5 or so years, I don't think something like that will ever be possible again. These companies are charging too much and giving us too little in return.
>The 4080 would need to be priced $900 or under
it is on ebay
Not paying almost 1k for a 4070 Ti DOGSHIT 12GB LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO twelve GB dude LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo
Not paying 1250 for a 4080 either.
I only buy AMD. The recent GPU I bought from AMD is 7800 XT for 499 with a free game on top, Alan Wake 2 and when Frostpunk 2 drops I'll get that for free too because I sold my old GPU.
You are literally bunch of fucking monkey zoo naggers who buy Nvidia trash.
If you buy Nvidia you only buy 4090, like a fucking nagger.
Everything else is TRASH. 4060, TRASH. 4070, TRASH. 4080 ok we can talk here, we can 16GB and all, we can discuss some things but not for 1.3k nagger.
See the what I am saying right here bitch boy? Never buy Nvidia trash. EVer.
Le RTX le buy our le RAY GAY TRAY TRANNY TRACING. SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU PIECE OF SHIT AI CHINKOID. I slap you across your fucking mouth the moment you say AI . What the fuck is AI? Are you retarded? Do you even game?
Fuck outta here.
I will forever buy AMD. New drivers are good, constant updates, I something doesn't work I report instantly to AMD hq they fix it within couple weeks. Can't have that with NJUDEA.
Overall if you shill for Nvidia you basicly a nagger.
AMD won. AMD keeps winning. AMD wins on Linux HARD. On Windows winning. On console on top of the game. Console games coming to PC? That's right AMD got your back. Nvidia naggers? Trying to blackmail devs to implement their 3rd party trash gimmicks, as usual.
I will forver stay with team Red. I rather drink my own pee in a 100° desert before I ever, fucking ever buy Nvidia.
I will never buy Nvidia.
I will never fucking ever Nvidia. If you give me a 4070 for free, I laugh at you. I straight up laugh at your stupid ass.
Don't @ me if you are a Nvidia fagboy.
AMD wins baby. FSR3 coming. Frame gen coming. All games. Free updates. All GPUs. Oh my god, I can't even imagine being a Nvidia npc.
Jensen's jackets aren't gonna pay for themselves
Also he's gotta overprice the consumer GPUs so that they aren't competing with his professional AI cards
The 1080ti MSRP'd at $700 in 2017, which is just $879 today. That won't even get you close to the 4080's $1200 price tag. Inflation is a bitch, yeah, but these companies are fucking us all in the ass.
>muh 1080ti
yes, they famously fucked up the pricing of that card. It was priced too low for how powerful it was and caused all future cards to seem overpriced in comparison. It was simply a bad business decision.
>they provided a great product at a decent price >"uhhh they FUCKED this UP it shoulda cost MORE"
how's jensen's cock taste?
Even the GTX 2080 MRSP inflation-adjusted to 2023 is $860, and that entire series was widely regarded to be overpriced.
i hate how expensive graphics cards are these days too but you have to remember that they do a lot more than they did before. DLSS, ray-tracing, path-tracing, neural network shit, generative AI, all of that costs a shit ton in R&D. It's just the way it is. You want better and better products? Get ready to pay more and more.

No one will argue about the features suit you are getting is better each Gen. That being said Nvidia just came and basically just slap everyone with 40s series pricing. A 4070 ti shouldn't be above $700 and here we are. Now take in that in order to upgrade you'd have to spend an extra $300-500 dollars should you wish to do so for some obscene reason. All this combined with the fact AMD dropped prices slightly just puts NVIDIA on the bad spotlight even if their profits didnt slow down.
Because of inflation. Did you forget that a virus almost wiped out the human race a few years ago? And now we've got literally hitler himself resurrected in putin slaughtering innocent civilians and about to start ww3 in europe and the middle east. Really gpus should be costing more so be grateful that NVIDIA and amd didn't go crazy with any price hikes and just kept it all reasonable.
>Really gpus should be costing more so be grateful that NVIDIA and amd didn't go crazy with any price hikes and just kept it all reasonable. >just bend the knee and thank papa Jensen for giving you the privilege of spending $1k+ on a 80-class card
nah fuck off
It will be more. They already said that the inflated 4090 prices are a good thing since it will make the refreshes look good.
Most 4090's go for around 2k now, so prepare your ass
>Remember when the GTX Titan released in 2013 >Everyone on Reddit was posting pictures of them posing with their GTX Titan >Costs $1200 >People bragged about owning it and posed with the box on the day they bought it
It was so hilarious and cringe. They went onto Reddit and other places posting pictures of their fatasses and greasy hair with it, surprised most of them could afford a $1,200 GPU. I figured that was a good chunk of money for people working retail jobs.
The lowliest retail worker or burger flipper in America earn more than professionals in Europe. $1200 is close to nothing for most americans, it's as if it costed 120€ in Europe, or 12€ for people with proper IT jobs. The price of a burger.
power efficiency only starting coming up in GPU comparisons after the 4000/7000 gen was stagnant in nearly every single aspect but power efficiency. a generation so fucking awful that people are talking about the change they save on their electric bill every month
I'm more concerned about not burning up my room. About 400-500watts is the absolute max I can pump before overheating. Not an issue right now with temps dropping but I suffered for the entire summer.
3070 is also a scam at this point. I almost bought it when the 4000 cards came out, but I'm glad I didn't. I saw videos of Resident Evil literally just crashing if unless you put texture quality on low with that shit. I would be upset to have a GPU with less than 16GB at this point.
I am indifferent to it
I have it and runs most of the games I want with high frames and 1440p ultrawide. That being said I wouldn't get one anymore if I didn't have a GPU.
Technology was moving so fast back then. I stuck to being a consolefag because the powerhouse computer I got to play doom could suddenly no longer deal with any modern PC games after what felt like no time at all. It also felt like console generations lasted longer so you got more bang for your buck there.
The 7800xt is an all around good deal if you have always been in that low/mid tier card zone and want an upgrade. For more that I hate to say the 4080 if you are going in for 1440p. Overpriced? Yeah. Performance? Questionable. It has proven to be a good card so fat tho
Other mentions >6700xt >3080s >6950xt (if you can find them in the $500 price range)
If you are a bang for your buck person just go for Arc in my opinion.
Does it still have monitor idle power consumption issues? Is AMD still shitting the bed with their dll injections that get you VAC banned?
I would love to buy an XTX but this is just retarded.
I don't see the multimonitor power consumption listed under Known Issues in the latest patchnotes anymore, so either they've fixed it, or they've just decided to ignore it indefinitely
I agree the AntiLag bans were fucking dumb and never should have happened. Luckily I don't use those features anyway, I think they're mostly marketing gimmicks
>RTX 20X0 is shit bro just wait >RTX 20X0 super is alright but just wait for 30X0 at this point bro >dude crypto makes 30X0 way too overpriced just wait >40X0 is a terrible deal man just wait man they'll drop the price >40X0 super is just around the corner, but you should just skip this gen man
FUCK YOU. I'm buying a 40X0 super and you CAN'T STOP ME. No, I will never buy an AMD product.

as happy as an nvidia shareholder that they didn't drop pricing on the 3000 series. I would have snapped up a 3070 or 3080 if they went $100 under MSRP
is it worth buying a prebuilt pc that comes with a 4090 for 2.5k leafbucks?
depends on the rest of the components
i7-12700k cpu, 32gb ddr5 ram, good enough psu
Does not sound that bad to be honest. Are you getting fucked with the storage space and a stock CPU cooler?

They aren't optimizing for anything. Consolecucks just don't notice when the ps5 is rendering at 900p
To be fair, they wouldn't even run on consoles if they didn't try optimizing for an hour.
The 4080 would need to be priced $900 or under to be relevant

Flip it the other way and you get what AMD is doing with ryzen, threadripper and sort of with epyc - only 1 CCD (the bit with all the actual cores on it) is manufactured, they just glue a shitload of them together if they want more performance.
Oh I see, that makes sense. that's why there is no 101 dye, Novidia is keeping it for their industrial GPU's I assume.
and I figure the number after that is the ''quality'' or version (higher is better)
Cuda made a real GPU instead
>256 bit bus in 2023
Nobody is going higher anymore. RDNA gets around it by having a fucking huge slab of L3 to keep bandwidth up.
The 4080 is more of a 1440p card so that's a good amount tbf.
It's clear Nvidia always wanted the 4080 to be the 1440p defacto card. It just so happens they caught themselves with their pants down once the backlash started.
>If the 4080 super is $1000 it will be worth it
maybe if it released a year ago
My 4060 was £250.
No it fucking wouldn't. That's an insane amount to pay for a gpu.
Someone explain to me why a gaming consumer would need anything close to a 4080/4090. What games are you fucking playing with this? You have render capabilities higher than actual workstations built to do real professional 3d work.
nobody needs more than a 4070 right now for gaming unless they're playing VR
>never obsolete
4090 is the only GPU that gets steady 60 FPS on maxed out cyberpunk 1080p
grim
there's no way other cards can't hit 60 on 1080p
He's talking about with full path tracing which was never intended to be run at native. Top end cards are going to be unable to run whatever the next iteration of ray tracing difficulty is for well over a decade.
why would i consume more electricity and produce more heat and noise instead of using something like DLSS ?
1440p high refresh rate UE5slop
I don't care if you think it's a meme at least it's not infested by normalfags and I like it
>at least it's not infested by normalfags
>if you try to play any online game it's infested by 10 year olds screaming into their mics
yeah I mean if you hang out in VRChat all day sure lol
>VRChat
not vidya
>Someone explain to me why a gaming consumer would need anything close to a 4080/4090.
Gaming?
Embarrassing
I don't like talking to people and even talking to an AI sounds annoying
I might have autism
Because I like to play games at high resolution and high framerates and max settings.
Your turn, explain to me why someone from the first world wouldn't comfortably be able to buy a 4090. If you can afford it, there's no reason to not get it. If you can't afford it, you're a third worlder and you should stop playing games and start working harder instead.
>mfw it'll probably be around ~1800€ here
>almost twice the price of my current pc
>for a GPU that's not even the best one for sale
What are they going to do? $500 4070, $600 4070 super, $700 4070ti, $800 4070ti super, $900 4080, $1000 4080 super? $600 4070 super would be great if it had 16GB VRAM, sadly probably only 4070 ti super will be worth. 12GB is going to be useless within the next year at this rate.
I will never spend more than $500 on a video card.
I don't trust secondhand GPUs
The prices are never coming down.
Doesn't mean we should stop complaining about it
There's no point. Just be happy $500 can still buy you a decent gpu at all. It sucks but things will only get worse
Slavs still playing on 1080p after 15 years are so funny. You'll always be second class citizen.
Thing is, even playing at 1080p most sit at the wrong viewing distance anyway.
you're doing more harm to the industy than consolenaggers by spending retarded amounts of money on hardware you don't need
Shrimple as that.
i just bought a 4080 @ 1226 $ yesterday
i like the power efficiency of it, and DLSS
AMD have none of that
also, maybe stop being poor.
actually it makes me even more happy to have a product that prices out the plesbs and poorfags
if we are all happy then no one is really happy, real happyness must come from someone elses sadness, sorry kiddo but that's life.
get a job
>i like the power efficiency of it, and DLSS
>AMD have none of that
they have both actually
Yeah but buying AMD doesn't buy leather jackets so no bueno.
>AMD is power efficient
you're wrong : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HznATcpWldo
and fsr is trash
>says wrong
>posts a pic of AMD cards getting more frames per watt than their competing nvidia ones
are you retarded ?
>tha fucking graph
>frames per watt
>average wattage DIVIDED by 4k geomean
>this is what Nividiots who buy RTX 4080 for 1226 use to their defense
holy retardation
Even I know that the 4080 draws wattage like a bitch during gameplay
>that video
admits that the price difference is huge enough to cover entire CPU and admits that the 4090 eats shitton of power too
epic video, shill
>AMD
>Alan Wake 2
more like alan "flickering trees" wake lmao
>more like alan "flickering trees" wake lmao
got 'em
I KNEEL
I'm trying to find faults in this well articulated position but there just aren't any to find.
Give me ONE good reason why the 4080 should cost any more than $700.
People will pay more.
It was simply a bad business decision.
>they provided a great product at a decent price
>"uhhh they FUCKED this UP it shoulda cost MORE"
how's jensen's cock taste?
Even the GTX 2080 MRSP inflation-adjusted to 2023 is $860, and that entire series was widely regarded to be overpriced.
i hate how expensive graphics cards are these days too but you have to remember that they do a lot more than they did before. DLSS, ray-tracing, path-tracing, neural network shit, generative AI, all of that costs a shit ton in R&D. It's just the way it is. You want better and better products? Get ready to pay more and more.
Very true, my fellow consumer. These cards should really cost $5000. We are surely luck to receive the price accordingfully.
The idea that adding features to your product as it evolves over time somehow justifies raising the product price by over 50%, AFTER adjusting for inflation, is fucking absurdist nonsense. nVidia is doing fine, they don't need you shilling for them.
revenue is not profit.
Now input 2013 GPU prices.
The 3080's MSRP was $649 in 2020, which would've been slightly over $730 in 2022 if adjusted for inflation
>Really gpus should be costing more so be grateful that NVIDIA and amd didn't go crazy with any price hikes and just kept it all reasonable.
>just bend the knee and thank papa Jensen for giving you the privilege of spending $1k+ on a 80-class card
nah fuck off
7900 XTX is 1k$ and people are more than happy to pay a premium to not have to deal with AMD's shit
Looking just at 1440p, RTX 4080 ranks as the most efficient GPU, followed by the RTX 4090, RTX 4070, RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 4070 Ti, and RTX 4060.
It will be more. They already said that the inflated 4090 prices are a good thing since it will make the refreshes look good.
Most 4090's go for around 2k now, so prepare your ass
Retarded piece of gold encrusted shit
already overtaken by Intel when it got a 750% increase in performance in a single driver update
You people are mentally ill
Welcome to the modern world, where consumerism is the hot religion of choice.
This shit is so fucking depressing to watch
retarded cattle
>Remember when the GTX Titan released in 2013
>Everyone on Reddit was posting pictures of them posing with their GTX Titan
>Costs $1200
>People bragged about owning it and posed with the box on the day they bought it
It was so hilarious and cringe. They went onto Reddit and other places posting pictures of their fatasses and greasy hair with it, surprised most of them could afford a $1,200 GPU. I figured that was a good chunk of money for people working retail jobs.
Then the 290x smashed it and suddenly that didn't count, just buy the 780ti!
The lowliest retail worker or burger flipper in America earn more than professionals in Europe. $1200 is close to nothing for most americans, it's as if it costed 120€ in Europe, or 12€ for people with proper IT jobs. The price of a burger.
My brother bought a 1080 TI when they released and only replaced it a few months ago with a 4090, I sure wish I had done the same back then.
power efficiency only starting coming up in GPU comparisons after the 4000/7000 gen was stagnant in nearly every single aspect but power efficiency. a generation so fucking awful that people are talking about the change they save on their electric bill every month
I'm more concerned about not burning up my room. About 400-500watts is the absolute max I can pump before overheating. Not an issue right now with temps dropping but I suffered for the entire summer.
>Mfw I bought 2080 and witnessed RTX 20 super series get released
>mfw I bought an RTX 4070 and this super series shit is being rumored
Fuck PC gaming
It's okay anon
At least you aren't part of the laughing stock that are 4060ti owners.
>a fucking 3070 rumbles it
3070 is also a scam at this point.
Thanks anon
>Didn't buy a 8800 Ultra in 2007
Best bang for your bucks!
It plays Battlefront at max settings just fine! It's all you need! Buy, Buy, Buy! You surely won't regret it in a couple years!
Yes, but we all know it's gonna cost $1,500 lol.
Did you add that bar yourself?
What bar?
The one covering up the sapphire name.
Yes to prevent others from seeing the serial number, it's not there irl, it was done in ms paint.
>YEES I LOVE GIVING ALREADY RICH israeliteS THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF SHEKELS YESS DADDY SCHLOMO MILK ME DRY
AMD, Intel save us!
>If the 4080 super is $1000 it will be worth it
What's the difference between the 4080 and 4080 Super?
ITT anons realise the 3dfx voodoo is a scam to get goyim to upgrade and software rendering is all we need. I bet you fell for that 800x600 meme too.
These poorfags would have had a coma back then. Your machine would become obsolete every 6 months for a few years.
Technology was moving so fast back then. I stuck to being a consolefag because the powerhouse computer I got to play doom could suddenly no longer deal with any modern PC games after what felt like no time at all. It also felt like console generations lasted longer so you got more bang for your buck there.
vidya graphics aren't progressing fast enough to justify spending $1k in overpriced GPUs
AI is unironically a better reason to upgrade at this point
>videocard craze dying down
>cars craze dying down
>just buy it goyim, support the economy
What's a good card worth the money right now?
>right now?
BF/CM is in three weeks.
What should I be keeping an eye out for? A 4080?
Depends on what you want
I find this generation to be a really bad deal and if you do want one just put some extra hours at work and get a 4090.
>put some extra hours at work
>for a graphics card that's horribly priced
default response is 7800xt or 6700xt for the money. 6950xt if found for around $500. do not spend over $500 for a GPU during the skipgen
The 7800xt is an all around good deal if you have always been in that low/mid tier card zone and want an upgrade. For more that I hate to say the 4080 if you are going in for 1440p. Overpriced? Yeah. Performance? Questionable. It has proven to be a good card so fat tho
Other mentions
>6700xt
>3080s
>6950xt (if you can find them in the $500 price range)
If you are a bang for your buck person just go for Arc in my opinion.
The XTX beats 4080 at raster and costs $200 less at MSRP
Does it still have monitor idle power consumption issues? Is AMD still shitting the bed with their dll injections that get you VAC banned?
I would love to buy an XTX but this is just retarded.
I don't see the multimonitor power consumption listed under Known Issues in the latest patchnotes anymore, so either they've fixed it, or they've just decided to ignore it indefinitely
I agree the AntiLag bans were fucking dumb and never should have happened. Luckily I don't use those features anyway, I think they're mostly marketing gimmicks
7800 XT shits on everything Nvidia has to offer really, price, gameplay wise
4080 too expensive out question, 4090 only for naggers
for 1080p you maybe want a 4060 Ti 16GB or a 7700XT 12GB whatever is cheaper
no graphics card should cost more than 3 digits.
mine cost 499 in 2023 (upgrade from meme 4GB, which cost me less than 200)
Nvidia's trash is a lot more expensive
>tfw 3060ti
If only it had shipped with 12GB, then it would've been perfect.
>RTX 20X0 is shit bro just wait
>RTX 20X0 super is alright but just wait for 30X0 at this point bro
>dude crypto makes 30X0 way too overpriced just wait
>40X0 is a terrible deal man just wait man they'll drop the price
>40X0 super is just around the corner, but you should just skip this gen man
FUCK YOU. I'm buying a 40X0 super and you CAN'T STOP ME. No, I will never buy an AMD product.
me
I have a 10 year old pc and I can't comfortably play my shitty games anymore so I will just upgrade everything so I'm set for the next 15-20 years because there won't be any good games out anyways
it's okay usually Nvidiots buy "super" for premium then will get btfo'd by next gen RTX 5000 gimmicks because it has better dlss and whatnot
If it's that much better for the price it will be sold out of scalped for months anyway. Also, even 4090 owners will get fucked by that.
good morning, every card will get btfo by the next gen so it doesn't matter sir
'member when crypto was in full swing and you could sell your 5 year old GPU for almost twice what you paid for it new? Good times
don't remember it at all
but you can build a gayming pc in 2023 for $1500 which is considering the scamming going on pretty good
>got a 3700x/2070S build in 2019 because my R7 370 died and I wanted a solid 1440p card
>3000 series comes out but only mildly interested because my card seems to be ok despite not utilizing my monitor's full refresh rate
>discover that my card is barely RT capable without massive amounts of DLSS cope
>ok I'll just wait for the insane 3000 series pricing to drop
>it doesn't
>ok maybe after the 4000 series comes out the 3000 series price will get drops
>the pricing only drops to MSRP
>RE4R, my most anticipated game is about to come out
>RDNA2 pricing keeps getting cut
>say fuck it and update my build to a 5800X3D/6950xt just before RE4R comes out
>absolutely insane gains
>dodge the 8gb bullet before Project Kill 8gb goes into full swing
>friend's PC dies and I send him my 3700x/2070S at an 80% off discount
as happy as an nvidia shareholder that they didn't drop pricing on the 3000 series. I would have snapped up a 3070 or 3080 if they went $100 under MSRP
it wont be 1000
1000$ they better give me 100gb of Vram so i can generate A.I titties in 9k resolution
unless the card costs $600 and gets me 2TB of VRAM I won't buy it, simple as
I'm not changing my 750 PSU, nagger.
Also would need to change my case probably, shit looks xbox hueg.
I got my 4080 used on ebay for $900. I'd say its worth it. Alan Wake 2 ran at 120 at ultra 1440p although it did dip to 70 during some sections.
>4070
>4070 ti
>4070 super
>4070 ti super
but why ?
If it performs like a 4090 sure
