Seriously though the environments look fucking cool. It actually feels like the future with all those megastructures. I wish more game developers put as much dedication into their environments.
Pretty solid installment in the series made with some streamlined parts to make it more accessible. I hope it brings in more people to the mecha genre so we can see more Armored Core titles in the future.
wouldn't be surprised if the concept/environmental artists used blame for references. kinda wished there were more missions on the sky towers, seemed like a bit of a waste on a cool idea
>No sniper so only missiles are relevant long range options. The whole game is just mecha sekiro, it's not even an ARPG or a mecha game, every build fights at the same range >Stagger and cooldown management are the only things that matter >Because of above, PVP is an absymal experience, worse than 5th gen >Stagger and ricochet are the most garbage mechanics ever introduced. They don't reward strategic plays, just force people to build for burst damage and stack as much stagger damage as possible then rush the boss >No advantage to lightweight builds because lol lock on and stats checks fights, get fucked >No aiming and barely any using cover as skillchecks >No kiting/baiting because 260 meters is considered "long range" in a fucking mech game >Dogshit build variety, among the worst in the series for sure >They brought back the fucking damage triangle >Only viable meta is shooting with main weapons at the enemy until you fill the stagger bar, then spamming your cooldown based arsenal and melee to make sure you capitalize on it >Every boss is also the same dps race also built around stagger and then chaining cooldown based attacks
Somehow they made an AC game way worse than D×M, I kneel Yamamura
i feel like most of these are conclusion you come to if you don't play the game yourself. missiles really are the only relevant long range option, but i dont know how you go from that to "this is just sekiro".
too bad lil bro, it's my GOTY, warts and all.
>You are right but I'm too emotionally invested on this game so you didn't actually play it >Also this game with literal Simom Says bosses where the difference between weapons is how fast they kill the boss while playing exactly the same isn't like Sekiro, the other game with Simon Says bosses
ok dude
Every build plays more or less the same (only variation is if you use melee or not). You are designed to stagger and damage bosses on their own terms according entirely to the openings they give you due to their basic AI routine and are always using boost kick and combating at very close range.
Sounds about right, but if the only similarities are "there is stagger and bosses have patterns" then you have to go back to the drawing board. There isn't even offensive parrying (pulse shields don't build the opponents ACS), Sekiro's defining trait.
Bro, it's shit just accept it. Even fromdrones moved on from this pile of trash in a few days. It's not just bad by From standards but by literally any standards.
I just completed NG++ the other day, I did some S-Rank missions but didn't feel doing that was very fun or interesting. The game itself was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it though, definitely got me interested in some of the previous games, I assume the only option to play them is emulation?
I don't think it's GotY.
There's a big disconnect between normal levels, which are basically shooting galleries where you just brutalize hapless mooks, and bossfights, which are almost all satan moron rape madness eyegouge insanity extreme. You'll be shooting fish in a barrel in one mission, then in the very next mission you get to fight Gohan Blanco 100 porciento La Bestia, then you go right back to shooting fish in a barrel. It just never gels.
It also hurts the customization aspect of the game, because in the former mission type, your build literally doesn't matter because even assault rifles will obliterate MTs, and in the latter you need to either use a specific loadout tailored to the boss or at the very least make sure you're using top tier shit if you want to have a chance, because the difference between top tier and mid tier equipment is night and day.
so every post that mentions sekiro or simon says is the same guy right?
i can't imagine more than one person coming to either of these retarded conclusions
Everyone's entitled to their viewpoints. The game does have its rough edges, and I hope balance patches help the viability of the part roster. Having said that, it's still the best game that came out this year, IMO.
Game of the decade unironically

bosses are too easy and anything with high impact stunlocks bosses 7 24
uhh I think it's only okay. sorry
DIDNT I TELL YA
JUST BE PATIENT
but anon
i'm not a fan of mecha games

So true op, so true wish I could updoot
really like the blame vibes Im getting from this game

it doesn't even LOOK like it plays like sekiro.

It's like Sekiro because the bosses play like coreographed simon says where you have no agency, not because of patterns
> the bosses play like coreographed simon says where you have no agency
what the fuck does this even mean?
>The whole game is just mecha sekiro
sounds kino, thanks, didn't read the rest of your life's story
Bro, it's shit just accept it. Even fromdrones moved on from this pile of trash in a few days. It's not just bad by From standards but by literally any standards.
>people move on from single player games fast
shocking
BG 3 begs to differ. Somehow from managed to make their game gayer than the game with drag queens in it... sad.
that game is still alive only because how controversial it is
>game with furries and gays differs
maybe because one its a rpg with choices ( i guess) and the other isn't?
it has better replayability than ER and people are still playing that one

It would be the GOTY if it had a better camera. I find myself fighting against the bosses *and* the camera at the same time.
I don't think it's GotY.

have a nice day
How does it run on PS4?
Very well, just 30fps though
I can deal with that
so every post that mentions sekiro or simon says is the same guy right?
i can't imagine more than one person coming to either of these retarded conclusions
Probably, you have some people with severe dopamine burnout trying to get their next fix around here.
