Sadly, It's practically impossible to buy high end component that does not have RGB. Mechanical keyboards, gpu, ram sticks, mice, even fucking fans have rgb built in by default. You can usually disable it, but that's besides the point.
He probably doesn't even know the difference between mini-micro and regular ATX (he got a prebuilt with a no name brand micro atx shitter, but it had an RTX and lights in it so it was worth it)
I had to buy RGB RAM because the RGB sticks were cheaper than the equivalent non-RGB sticks. I remember when RGB RAM was just a meme and not actually filling parts catalogs.
I highly regret all of the rgb shit I got, but at this point, pc parts are more likely to have it than not.
But holy fuck all the rgb software is so extremely fickle and borderline unworkable its practically a crime that they sell it like this.
Not to mention the bloat, and the fact that some of them require an account to function. I uninstalled the software for my Corsair keyboard and I just leave it red. Same with the Steelseries software for my mouse. I use XBMC to rebind shit if I need to.
my mobo and gpu have it but not because i wanted. i just leave them in their default state (alternates between every color like a fucking rainbow but i don't want to install shovelware to control the rgb)
If you haven't built one before, and you buy expensive parts, yes it is. Would you trust a total newbie to change pickups on a $5000 Les Paul? Or change their own exhaust on a $70,000 Corvette?
Not a comparable level of difficulty at all. If anything a poorfag who can't afford to pay someone else to do it for them should be MORE scared to do it themselves, yet millions manage it just fine. Just follow along with one of the countless youtube videos.
Based. Fuck spending hours building a pc and troubleshooting it. The only thing that's worth doing is picking the parts yourself.
unless you find it fun there is no financial reason to do it yourself, only children with 0 concept of the time value of money will justify building a pc as financially necessary
Literally nobody fucking cares or is impressed by what your computer looks like. It's a box on your desk that you privately sit in front of for hours at a time while either playing games or jacking off. It's appearance is a complete non-issue.
If you think buying certain parts over others makes you superior in any way, you've fallen for a retarded consumerist hobby meme.
actually you are wrong, if you have an epic minimalist setup with a worse performing all metal case with no front fans and all black peripherals you can get tons of upvotes on reddit for being really cool and totally like a business man instead of a cringe gamer, add a highly customized linux distro with 10 terminals and you can appeal to Ganker as well.
Powerspec (Micro Center's in-house brand) has a prebuilt with a 4090 and i9-13900K, 64 GB 5600RPM DDR5 RAM, and 1000 watt PSU for $4k. When I specced my own it would be about $4700. Is it worth getting the prebuilt instead?

>and you buy expensive parts
but PC parts are standardized. a $500 gpu plugs into the pcie slot the same at a $1000 one.

cases w/o windows are the minority too, i miss my old beige box more and more every day
RGB is fine but I seriously don't like the look of vertically mounted GPU, is it better for airflow?
Look how much more beautiful this Supermicro motherboard is than gamer boards
Shame they cost $500, I really liked my old one
Look how we don't fucking care about your shit taste.
Damn this RGB gamer is salty
He probably doesn't even know the difference between mini-micro and regular ATX (he got a prebuilt with a no name brand micro atx shitter, but it had an RTX and lights in it so it was worth it)
>dimm slots are color coded
I like that
I wonder how many people have two sticks of ram and are actually running one
my case has a small rgb strip at the top and the debug lights on my motherboard change color
it's about as much rgb as I can stomach
I had to buy RGB RAM because the RGB sticks were cheaper than the equivalent non-RGB sticks. I remember when RGB RAM was just a meme and not actually filling parts catalogs.
>mobo has green light thats always on
Im sorry bros....
What if my keyboard and mouse have it, and they only have it because I don't give a shit?
fellas, is this too much?
It's white, no R, G or B you are fine.
White is a combination of RG and B so it is technically an RGB light.
You can't change the color of white LED. You can only filter the light.
Yes remove the bios sound too you should be so pro to know what happens to your computer without audiovisual clues
I asked no rgb still got it but isnt too much like that KEK
I could not give a fuck how my PC looks, RGB parts are sometimes cheaper/on sale.
only a manchild cares how his computer looks

You can disable LEDs on the motherboard from UEFI. GPUs are harder to control without bloatware.
only thing I like rgb for is when it changes color based on component temp
do you have front fans?
no, but my gpu undervolted never gets over 70c
it absolutely was an issue before I undervolted it.
RGB is just an evolution of things like bubble lights and LED fans on mid-2000s PCs.
>Cold cathodes
I wonder if you can even still buy those.
rgb rgb rgb!
namefag
passfag
rgb fag
kys
I'll buy you a damned pass anon!
Why is your arm lumpy, do you have skin cancer?
I dunno actually, it looks fine to me, but in the photo it looks like my vein is popping out
Nice tanning bed bro.
That's my ceiling lamp.
>spend more to have no rgbs
sorry I just bought what's on sale as long as performance is good
I'm scared and lazy to build a new PC. I think I'm gonna pay a wagie to build it for me
it's not as hard as you think

the point of RGB is that it is programmable, you arent actually supposed to run it in rainbow vomit mode

>a prebuilt from Micro Center is on a $700 discount from a parts spec
lmfao wtf? obviously yes buy thay system immediately buddy before it's gone
what the fuck do you need a $4k pc for?
>and you buy expensive parts
but PC parts are standardized. a $500 gpu plugs into the pcie slot the same at a $1000 one.
I turned mine off. Am I good to stay?
I thought it was cool for a month or two. Monday my 32GB ram comes in which will eliminate the last source of light in my case.
I've got an rgb strip but it just stays on white for when I need to turn it on and see in there
I built a PC that is completely anti-ricer that I intend to sell.
Fuck you and learn to love my gay rainbow lights.
>sniff sniff muh pc it has colors on it!!!
I wonder what it takes to cry over something so trivial.
