I actually agree to a point but it's still a case where the OG is the better experience overall.
I'll give you LJ though. That was a fun DE game

Not much but it suffers from first game syndrome where they wanted to try new things and end up with unpolished or underused mechanics
The big thing for me is styles in Judgement was there was almost no reason to use Crane when tiger did basically everything better and you could "lol flux" fools LJ fixed up crane and give a niche in the from of juggles

That's mainly because of bounce blocks. If bounce blocks didn't exist Crane would be far more useful outside of 1v1 fights which is the entire intention of it in the first place.
You'll get bored of the fishing and feel less inclined to play the game or the series as a whole because you already allowed your self to skip one of them.
There's like eight or nine fish to catch, you have to run back to shore to store or sell them, they barely give you any money, several are locked based on what time it is (and you can't switch it freely until PA), and there's also like four pieces of trash that you reel up constantly.
4 and Dead Souls improved on it a lot just by having the "boost reeling" button and adding some more fish or rewards.
You can boost your stats like crazy by playing the Hostess minigame a bit and using the money to buy tons of food and appetite stimulants. Then you can just beeline through the plot pretty quick. It's what I did.
I'm gonna give it another shot, lads. Can anyone clarify if this is what happened in 0 and 1?
>Kiryu and Nishki are two friends (brothers) that work for some Yakuza patriarch. >Majima is an ex-Yakuza, looking to protect a blind-girl. >There's a bit of story, but it doesn't really matter for the series going forward as it came out after 5 or 6? Can't remember. >Point being, Kiryu becomes the Dragon, and Majima becomes the Mad Dog. >Nishki kills a member of the clan. >Kiryu takes the fall. >He gets out and falls in love with a e-girl. >Nishki ends up killing himself, going out with honour.
>that work for some Yakuza patriarch.
Kazama is their adoptive father. He runs the Kazama family that they are part of. In 1 Nishiki moves to his own family because Kiryu is in jail and Kiryu was part of Dojima's after 0 ended to build it back up. >Majima is an ex-Yakuza, looking to protect a blind-girl.
He's more looking to get back into the Tojo Clan because he wants to find Saejima. Makoto is just a means to an end that turns into a protection thing.
0 came out after 5/Ishin. K2's Majima Saga has some contradictions with what 5 had and you should consider some things Majima says as not accurate since the writers clearly forgot parts of 5.
Everything else is more or less fine.
The hardest boss in Yakuza 3 is a tuna. I'm not joking.
Nah, they fixed it on PC so you don't have that instant-reel thing happen anymore. It wasn't even an issue on consoles, it was solely on PC.
>Name-gayging
It's all downhill after you play Zero and K2
I love all the games but 3 is my favourite and yeah its really different than 2 so give it a try and see if you like it more
3,4 and 6 are worse, maybe 5 too depending on what you like about yakuza, 7 as well
Jesus just KYS if you hate everything.
If you're put off by Yakuza 2 of all games then there's no hope for you when it comes to how 3 is paced
He's right though.
I'm playing Yakuza Kiwami 2. It's ass. The system sucks. The engine sucks.
3 sucks it's the worst in the franchise
well we're stuck with the engine now, everything after 6 is in it and it's varying degrees of awful
they're even using UE for isshin remake
>SOULLESS DE Yakuza 2
Well there's your problem. Should have played the OG PS2 version
K2 is the least shit DE game besides LJ

>playing the remakes
I loved 0 and 1 Kiwami tho!
Every single one of those games is boring as shit and made for mentally moronic japanese
if you got filtered by the best game in the series then there's no hope that you'll enjoy the later games
You'll get bored of the fishing and feel less inclined to play the game or the series as a whole because you already allowed your self to skip one of them.
>You'll get bored of the fishing
I have 200 hours of fishing in Stardew Valley. I don't do the story or talk to the villagers.

yakuza2 is one of the best in the series, yakuza 3 is the most comfy one (a bit slow and too much blocking but comfy)
Comfy is just another word for boring. My Yakuza stories shouldn't be comfy.
