starfield sucked
You're supposed to make a versatile build that can do anything
they are always like this, you didn't beat elden ring if u used moon veil, you didn't beat dks2 if u used a rapier, you didn't beat dks1 if you used a black night halberd , ect, ect
zimmerman is veratile and can do anything though
That's the worst advice
You will have a much better time by fitting your AC to the current mission with the exceptions being those 1 minute filler missions you get early on you can use any loadout whatsoever for those
I don't understand why people complain about the "meta" or "easy" builds
I mean, every single souls except Sekiro has an easy weapon or playstyle (magic, claymore, straight swords, falchion, ludwig holy blade, did I saw magic?)
and if you want to play with 4 different weapons that's cool too
you can literally run 2x zimmerman's + 2x stun needles and S rank 90% of the missions tbqh
You can run double zims and double needles and S rank 100% of the missions
Source: me
How did you S rank Destroy the Transport Helicopters with double zims and double needles?
That loadout should give you a medium-heavy AC by necessity so going fast should be hard
nta you can have 320 boost with double zims/double needles with the wheelchair
i switched to an all-missile build for that mission though since it was waaaaaaaaaay easier
You can reach 320-330 on reverse joints too, but I didn't bother until NG++ because the only chest that could make it happen was Ephemera.
Admittedly I did fail once doing this and switched to laser rifles but that was probably because I looked away for a moment. I think it's possible, coral generator + institute thrusters give you a lot of air time and you can (probably?) just snipe with stun needles.
How did you beat "Eliminate the PCA enforcement squads" mission while also killing Freddie? It's that one infamous mission with No Checkpoints.
Don't care, I'm running dual laspistols speedbuild on every sortie
the two hardest missions to s rank are
>intercept the red guns
and
>destroy the Drive Block
you can do both of these easily with zimmers, stun needle, and pilebunker.
Destroy the drive block is pretty easy to S rank in my opinion
I had more problems with Coral Export Denial and Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship
Intercept the Red Guns was by far the hardest though
love it when they don't tell you in advance if you're ALLOWED to use light or heavy build.
forced replayability.
for comparison in advance wars you see the map, your opponent and get a description(fog of war etc) then get to choose your playstyle.
>what I expected: make a build you actually like, slowly improve and replace parts as you understand the game more and the shop opens up
>what I was told: NOOOOOO YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR ENTIRE BUILD FOR EVERY FUCKING MISSION YOU DARK SOULS BABY
>what the game actually is: have weapon(s) for building stagger, something for crowd control, and sometihng for stagger punish. you dont need to actually change much from stage to stage.
Pile bunker.
right in the nono area
Equip whatever works for the fight retard
Zimmermans, gatlings, stun needles and songbirds are only boring when you make "rate my build" posts featuring nothing but those weapons
panic fire won't work, as long as you keep cool you can win 621.
you don't even have to aim
george zimmerman
the thing that pisses me off the most about AC6 is the fact that if you're doing a blind first playthrough, your loadout will be countered every single mission. Then you have to restart and pick a different loadout. Every single mission.
Trial and error is fine. This isn't.
>”Raven, wait”
is a series staple let’s be honest
what's a good keyboard control scheme for being able to charge all weapons? i have enough fingers for only 3 with the default scheme and idk what to replace
m1 m2 m3 m4
The game encourages you to cheese rather than git gud. In Souls if you're adamant about using a less than optimal build you can win through a test of patience and rolling. This game incentivizes everyone to use the same handful of faggy builds.
Im having slight purchase regret. I just got the game today and the first boss is kicking my ass. I dont know if ill be able to complete this. The visuals feel kind of basic, i was expecting more destruction physics given the context of the game world. I prefer bosses in souls games where you can learn their move set and dodge accordingly, this just feels like missile spam thats impossible to read. Does it get better or should i refund while i still can?
very subtle bait
Not baiting. Im sure you all in fight and bait each other but this is my first post in an ac thread
if someone makes a post on Ganker that says ‘something is done like x in souls but it’s done like y in this game and therefore it’s bad’ i automatically assume the post was made to get people to angrily shit on souls players. bonus points if it’s not even accurate
Its a fair comparison though since its Fromsoft. Mine and most peoples only context of eldensoulsborne games. This feels uncomfortable to me, i think i might like it better if it was meele only
Just get in there and hit it with your sword
You do need to learn how to dodge though.
The most effective way to fuck a boss up is to be hyper aggressive. Constantly get in it's face and do huge spikes of damage. Also, getting above them is usually helpful too.
You're using your gun, your rockets, keeping your distance and staying on the ground. You need to assault boost up to it, fly around as much as you can and hit it with your sword.
i had more trouble with ALLMIND iguazu than the redguns mission
Why do you care? It's a singleplayer game. Use cheat codes for all I care. You clearly don't want to finish the game, you just want to be validated by chuds on Ganker
Literally nobody but post-ER soulsfags says this considering everybody pre-AC6 release just told people to gun for the karasawa/finger/machine gun in previous games lol
Because Fromdrones are mentally ill and think their games are perfect. Any issue you have has an excuse, and often times these excuses are contradictory. In that you will complain about something, they will tell you to simply do X, so you do X and they belittle you for taking the easy way out. I would even go as far as to say they so desperately need the validation of being ~~*good*~~ at the hard video game that they need to pretend to be better than they are, and sell the game as easy to make others think they themselves are bad.
I have also seen the same person go from "just change your build" to "that was a cheese build" when the person playing on the living room TV never left the sofa nor menu, and simply worked out that O/S can be easily beaten by switching to a faster weapon and upgrading it at the giant, plus bringing a lightning resist shield he already had. They're mentally ill.
Ibis is a fucking piece of shit boss. Even though the rest of the game was perfect I'm so glad I didn't pay for this game and got ng++ done for free.
this but I don't think Ibis is a bad boss
I am glad you had an easy enough time to not be as angry about Ibis as I am.
I can consistently reroll the fight until I kill her before the tenth reroll or so, meaning do it in no time at all, and I still hate that horrible design.
But I admit I am biased against her from the start because I am sick of gay ass overtuned waifu bosses in Fromsoft games. Fight would have been perfectly fine if it didn't do the cutscene into phase 2.
I think the thing that annoys me the most are the attack indicators. I cant actually tell when I'm supposed to dodge so I usually end up getting hit anyways.
Yeah the other thing that pissed me off was if you're ABing at Ibis you can't see her fucking model because your AC is taking up all the space in the middle of the screen.
I didn't bitch about it before because I wasn't sure if that was just meleefags having the problem and she's clearly not meant to be chased around with melee, and blocking the screen is a game issue not a boss issue.
You also can't (easily) look around at all to actually see where anything is, either, as I'm sure you've noticed with this fight. You just have to trust the range indicator and tracking.
Moving your mouse one pixel and losing lock is atrocious.
Ibis wrecked my shit just like Ayre, because I played in kbm and didn't know hard lock was a thing until I read about it afterwards, so I had to manually follow these spastic cunts with my camera. I did learn to run away and bait them into double melee rape but From is fucking retarded for overlooking this and not making a hard lock toggle for this situation. I can't blame any build choice when they design their games like this.
>rest of the game is "perfect"
>still feel satisfied stealing from the devs somehow
you're just as mentally ill as the worst fromdrones
>being happy you didn't pay for a game that pissed you off makes you as bad as the most retarded bootlicking shill
Glad you put a tag on your post warning people you're retarded.
>I'm having a lot of trouble with this boss
>EXPERIMENT WITH YOUR BUILD RETARD
>nah i'll just read a best build guide. zimmermans with needle launchers? sounds great
yeah the issue isn't using the OP shit, it's that many people skip the tinkering and experimentation steps and just look up what the optimal stuff is.
I am pretty sure people do not need a guide telling them to just rock double gatling tank considering the training stage will plant the idea in their head for them
The moment I played that tutorial level I knew that was probably going to be the answer to a lot of pain in the ass bosses and was so happy people skipping the tutorial wouldn't get the free hint.
I can buy people rocking double needlgun/zimmerman as a "someone told me" type deal most of the time but gatling stuff would come naturally to people because of that specifically and gatlings are one of the few weapons where you can full auto them which I imagine is easier for people to use
Zimmers came to me before gatling because I have immerison brainrot and didn't want to use a gun that shoots a million bullets.
I didn't even realize ammo can cost a lot of money at that point it was pure immersion autism.
You don't need a guide to see Zimmer's massive AP and impact stats. I was skeptical because I saw "shotgun" and assumed it's hard to land all the bullets or something, but you only need to try it to confirm.
I use one zimmer, one songbird, pile bunker and some other bullshit random multi missile shit. I play for building up stagger and landing a fully charged pile bunker stab because I basically wanted to recreate a powder keg hunter from bloodborne. It's really fun. I'll be damned if I let autists tell me what I can or can't use, suck my dick.
Dual Laser Handguns absolutely mogs Zimmermans though.
Use the Pile Bunker.
i couldn't actually win against this thing with the meta builds. i had to use an insanely lightweight build with dual duckettes and a stun baton.
