I’m like 4 hours in and I’ve had like two battles. Uhhh I didn’t know I was buying a visual novel.

Did you miss that it was called Persona?
at least it only cost you $1 to find out
the game released like 5 years ago so this one's on you
I know this is a shitpost but I promise that you are literally like 30 minutes from the game actually starting
But seriously. How do we improve the pacing in JRPGs?
Play something other than Persona and Trails
Stop trying to simulate stupid Japanese school life. Focus on the plot that actually matters. FF1 perfected the gameplay:plot ratio and we have only gotten worse from there.
Copy DQ8 and let the player set the pace after the short intro.
bruh this game like a decade old how u not gonna know shit bout this shit
>movie game
piece of shit. This is why games suck now
>movie game, Japan
>OMGOMG EPIC YOU GOTTA PLAY THIS GUISE CHINKUSAN IS MY WAIFU HOLY SHIT KINO GOTY GOTD WTF I LOVE JAZZ NOW
Visual novel moron
>movie game, Japan
>IT DOESN'T COUNT IT'S ACTUALLY MUH VISUAL NOVEL
You don't read movie dialogues unless you're ESL or a weebtard, you fricking subhuman
>two hours of cutscenes with voice acting and animation
>not a movie
moron
Calm down, Druckmann.
western or eastern, movie games are cancer
>other games have garbage filler too so that makes it ok
jaypigs are more pathetic than sonicgays. And other JRPGs don't do this shit to the extent that P5 does. SMT 3 has better pacing
You can't even greentext properly
Serves you right for not knowing what you were getting into, moron.
He does have a point though. The pacing just stops dead in its track multiple times. Especially if you complete a Palace at the earliest opportunity, then you have weeks of doing the same things over and over again.
If you're playing persona games for the battles, you're gonna have a bad time
The "tutorial" is pretty long but it picks up a lot once that's over. Sadly, the gym teacher arc is kind of a slog.
moron
Half of the game is pressing X to advance through dialogue
it gets good 10 hours in unironically
>buy game
>after buying the game it tells me that I have to agree that everything in it is fake, if I don't agree it doesn't let me play
>literally blocking the game you bought from you
Is this even legal?
THIS is the game Sony gays told me was better than XC2 for the past 5 years? I'm like 10 hours in and fricking nothing has happened. Also the amount of repeated dialogue is absolutely insane.
>First day
>"If you frick up, I'm kicking you out"
>Okay
>Get home from first visit to school
>"If you frick up, I'm kicking you out"
>Yeah man I got it
>Get home from first day of school
>"If you frick up, I'm kicking you out"
Then there's every interaction between Morgana and Ryuji which is dialogue written for toddlers.
Nah frick off idiot. Both games are great
>OP plays his first JRPG
Kek, homosexual. Most JRPG's have a long introduction/set up before introducing combat, and Persona is no different.
Should have bought a real videogame, bro. Thanks for funding Persona 6 btw.
V was complete fricking shit
V either had too little story or just awful story telling. No reason to care about any of the characters but I loved the amount of combat in the game compared to P5.
I loved SMTIV but the demons are so ugly
Just wait until they take your cool looking persona to make a literal little gnome of it
I remember falling asleep while sitting in the floor during the festival.
Over 2 hours of dialogue
kek nobody tells you this game is a VN first and foremost with the gameplay serving as padding
you didn't check it before? this is why i didn't get it, the combat and exploration seems nice but the whole VN thing and high school setting is not good..
>Combat
>Exploration
>nice
?????????????????????????????????????????
yeah,i said nice, not the best in the world
i've never played it but that's my impression
still, i don't want a 70 hours VN with 30 hours of other things
skipping every cutscene still took 3+ hours. It's just as bad as I remember, in fact worse with the new OCdonut scenes awkwardly shoved in.
>Uhhh I didn’t know I was buying a visual novel.
I'm pretty sure only Persona is guilty of this shit.
Other niche rpgs, even laid back shit like Atelier, get to the point almost fricking immediately. Even fricking Neptunia.
>You can't even greentext properly
