Sometimes the first time you see a boss, try to study it instead of focusing on killing it.

the only boss you actually need it is the sunken city dragon cause he has broken hitboxes

I'm doing a run with 85 AGL and no shield and haven't had any problems with not being able to dodge anything yet.
"You have to level ADP" looking more and more like another overblown homosexual complaint.

When DS2 first released the hitboxes were broken for like 6 months. We called it "shockwaves." Basically, the game left your hitbox in place while you rolled the instantly snap it to your new location. This meant that if your AGL was under 110, it was basically impossible to dodge. But with SotFs they fixed the hitboxes and the weird/trolling enemy placement.

The hitboxes staying in place is still pure myth as far as I know, if there ever was such a bug it did not last for even a single month as I have reinstalled and played the first PC release of DS2 and this is not the case in that version. Any broken hitboxes were fixed before SotFS and they did not fix weird/trolling enemy placement in SotFS, they made it worse. The intention of SotFS was never to fix enemy placement out of some obligation to the lore or players, it's basically just a harder remix.

Anyone can do pyromancy. Raise attunement to at least have one spell slot. Equip load effects stamina regen speed and roll distance. Vitality is important and adp is a total meme. Roll away from attacks. Duel wield different weapons for a nice balanced moveset(slashing+blunt, thrust+sweep, fast+slow, etc.) Weapons have a poise damage stat. Your poise actually works. Use the sprint button in combat to maneuver around enemies and dodge attacks.

Buy life gems with the leftover souls after leveling up. You'll never run out.

won't spoil much, DS2 offers much freedom to advance on 4 different paths. Forest of fallen giants is the first area of the game and the shortest, experienced players can skip this by going to the Heide's tower of flame to kill dragonrider first for many souls as early as possible and cheese the early game by min maxing character stats.

In DS2 there are two npcs you can trade boss souls for weapons and spells, you should save them up and see what items each soul can be traded for

The silver covetous ring grants more souls, you can equip it right after killing a boss and still enjoy it's benefits, the clothes worn by maughlin the armorer grant the most souls after killing enemies, but you should keep maghlin alive if you like fashion. After spending 1.5k souls on maughlin he will sell elite knight set and after 15k he will sell alva set which is much cooler, and other boss equipment after defeating bosses

each time you die reduces your health bar and can be reduced until 50%, keep that in mind every time you want to reverse hollowing

hexes scales with lowest stat between int and fth, softcap at 30fth/30int

almost all merchants/trainers go to majula the hub world, after defeating more bosses they offer more weapons, items, armor, magic, miracles and hexes

    good starting weapons
    >rapeier for dex
    >soul arrow and staff for int
    >mace for str

noob starting class is the knight, he has the highest hp and balanced stat
worst noob class is swordsman with lowest hp
if you pick cleric 2 hand the mace every time to use it properly because he has no str

You have to beat the bosses twice if you want the ds1 boss weapons. You should naively adp which increases your dodge frames.

I played the vanilla DS2 but I’d still rec investing in Adaptability, kill the merchant in Madula dressed in gold for more souls

Main tip: Go back in time when Scholar was at its peak online activity

I will never forget racking up 10 sin for the first time and proceeding to have a run where I got invaded so frequently by blues that it was downright comical. Don't think there's a single area in this game where I didn't have to fight off an invasion

Added comedy was that 99% of them were bad lol. Shoutout to the guy who buffed himself while having a chaos blade, then backstepped off a cliff dodging my first attack
