I got filtered at Watchpoint Delta. Struggled at the wall, died only once to the filter chopper... kinda done with the game for now. Might give it another shot later, but I feel like my arsenal is underpowered and I don't understand why.
I'm trying that but I'm struggling to get him staggered. The only way I can stagger them is to pop missles constantly until eventually he staggers, but by that point I've inevitably taken quite a beating. I end up shredding my repairs long before I get him to half health.
The pulse blade deals bonus damage to his shield. Some random tips >bubble shields = pulse armor >pulse armor only gets broken down by Impact, not damage >this means lasers and other low impact weapons suck against it >also, assault boosting increases the Impact value of your attacks >pulse armor takes bonus damage from pulse weapons >Balteus immediately staggers if you break his pulse armor >unlocking the Weapon Bays from OS tuning allows you to carry handheld guns on your back, so you can carry a set of pulse weapons for Balteus' pulse armor and then a set of conventional ones for when it's been broken >Balteus hates it when your up in his grill >assault armor unlocked from OS tuning deals insane Impact damage and will fuck his shield if you're close enough
He also recently got his missile tracking nerfed, so there's another reason to be up in his business.
>assault boosting increases the Impact value of your attacks
why flying forward fast boosts shooty gun impact? >Balteus immediately staggers if you break his pulse armor
more like everything that pulls an infinite pulse shield on you is insta staggered by shield deletion
Here's is a braindead build for beating Balteus:
-Tetrapod with dual vertical missles, keep spamming them 24/7
-bazooka in right hand
-pulse blade in left hand
He will spend 70% of the fight posture broken on the floor.
Keep pushing. Watchpoint delta is a bizarre difficulty spike. It actually gets easier after you're done with Balteus and stays easier for the next 2 chapters. Go all out agressive on him. Get under him, over him, anywhere you can hit him where he can't hit you. Try to do as much damage as quickly as you can to save your resources for the second phase and allow you to be a bit more conservative in that phase. The pulse gun and pulse blade does miracles for knocking down his shield but you basically need to be inside him.
I used dual Ludlows and the 8 vertical missiles if you want to try that. Ludlows have been buffed now so it should be easier. Good thing about that loadout is you can just go all out all the time, you don't need to worry as much about timing your reloads so it might help you to focus on your movement.
>I feel like my arsenal is underpowered and I don't understand why.
probably because you aren't running double shotguns
this game stays in line of "either use an OP set or git gud at avoiding damage with whatever way less powerful shit you chose"
your sense of morality is fucking comic book level.
he isn't a "Good Man" he just has somewhat good goals, but he'll do horrific shit to achieve it, and worst of all, his goals are misguided as Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is.
Walter is just a man with principles and drives outside of profit or power, you have mistaken this for being good, sure its noble, but he'd send a million guys to their death to achieve it.
Sounds like a good guy to me. If the alternative to doing bad shit is allowing way worse shit to happen (or so you think) then doing them doesn't necessarily exclude you from being a good guy.
being Good is more than achieving good ends with bad means.
even fucking D&D rules understand this, as a Paladin you cannot do evil to achieve good, and for other characters that are good aligned, doing so takes you closer to neutral and then evil.
how you conduct yourself in the pursuit of good is arguably more important that the pursuit itself.
Ever hear “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”? Having a noble goal in mind doesn’t mean anything if you’re performing atrocities to accomplish it.
>Having a noble goal in mind
Is not what I said. We're talking about doing good, not just trying. A road through hell is still worth the journey if it arrives at heaven. >Ends don’t justify means for good people
Yes, they do.

>Yes, they do.
No they don't. Thinking that way creates calamities and causes the death of millions of innocents, like what happened with the fires of Ibis. People who think like this generally create more harm than good.
>his goals are misguided as Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is.
Ah yes the substance that literally ruined the lifes of an entire planet is actually good because my tulpa said so!
oh did the CORAL do that, or peoples desire to use and harvest it? and then people's fears over what it could do.
until some Coral starts inhabiting man made bots it had zero ability to interact with the world at large and just had to take whatever abuse came along.
>until some Coral starts inhabiting man made bots
And orbital cannons
I know you want to put your dick in coral but a species of self-replicating psychic gasoline, easily capable of hijacking humanity's tech to use against us at will isn't something we can co-exist with. The power dynamic is too fucked
Not to mention once it spreads across space, it's one particularly violent corp skirmish away from igniting the galaxy. You think FoR end was destructive wait till it's everywhere
who cares? a key theme of the series is that no matter what A.I. or in this case, Sentient Bioenergy dreams of doing, Humanity always does worse, with less cause.
every "Evil A.I." in the setting at least has some sort of vaguely beneficial goal in mind, even fucking Nineball, in the setting only Humanity kills for the sake of it or for just pure fucking greed.
nothing in the game indicates Coral has anything but self preservation in mind, and wants coexistance, you have nothing but Walters ill informed ideas and head canon to say otherwise.
present evidence of Coral's evils or I can dismiss your claim without evidence.
>nothing in the game indicates Coral has anything but self preservation in mind, and wants coexistance
Contradicting yourself there considering the coexistence part involves spreading coral past rubicon, into space where it's shown to multiply much faster and then everybody's forced to swim in coral. Ayre wants to bring coral in contact with humanity, her stated goal is spreading coral everywhere, you're trying to paint it as coral dindu nuffin it just wants to live but it's rapidly expansionist by nature
And then we're back to what coral is actually capable of doing, which again includes hijacking humanity tech and going off like a nuke when someone ignites it (in this wartorn setting with superweapons firing at each other everywhere)
At the end of the day coral's intentions aren't even relevant, just what it's shown to be capable of means it has to go. Even if you're determined to run damage control and paint humanity as the bad guys, sure, what exactly do you think all the off world corps (there's a lot more than Balam and Arquebus) are going to do with effectively infinite coral after you let it spread everywhere?

Don't reply to coral apologists. I don't know if it's roleplaying or they are actually retarded but they intentionally misconstrue the story as hard as possible then dominate discussion while being wrong.
You have to just ignore or insult them. Don't actually reason with them. Their gimmick ruins threads if you interact with them.

Coral doesn't want symbiosis because it's good for humanity. Symbiosis is the only option that results in its survival without being used as fuel for all eternity.
The only perspective we got on Coral as a sentient entity come from obviously biased Ayre and Dolmayan, who has a druggie brain, lost Contact with his waifu and is a bitter man filled with regret.
>the substance that literally ruined the lifes of an entire planet
Are we just going to continually ignore the fact that the Fires of Ibis were deliberately triggered by an Institute scientist? Coral didn't reach critical mass until retards built the vascular plant to gather the entire stream into a giant vacuum to space.
>Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is
Did you pay attention? The shit spreads worse than wildfire. The Fires of Ibis was one attempt at containing it and that fucked up multiple planets. If it spreads enough, it won't be stoppable anymore, it'll be everywhere. Extremely volatile, dangerous to everything that isn't coral. The defense? Just Ayre. Who has said herself about the risk of losing herself if immersed in external coral. So it's dangerous to coral AS WELL. It can burn your galaxy and dissolve your self. No, this isn't guaranteed behaviour, and it's more innate properties than evil intent, but the danger is too massive to ignore, and what other methods could conceivably work?
The plan is to propagate the mutation through all of the Coral so that it doesn't ignite like that, and THEN scatter it to the universe and allow evolution to take place.
We're not stupid. Just ambitious.
>Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is
He doesn't think it's evil. He just knows that Coral will spread through the entire fucking universe in no time at all if the convergence is ever moved out of Rubicon 3's atmosphere. That's a fact, by the way, Word of God fact. Imagine if all of Earth's atmosphere turned to acetylene the moment someone opened a tiny fucking canister of it. That's Coral.
I just had to see the Ibis model in action and that convinced me that humanity doesn't need access to Coral energy, they would blow up themselves and and a part of the galaxy in a heartbeat with that kind of power.
Even the institute's actual failsafe in case their own coral release wasn't going to work was a coral AC with exoatmospheric boosters to go do what the Xylem ends up doing anyway.
Walter's dad sabotaging everything to cause the fires to stop them was the only thing preventing a coral release 50 years ago.
coral ain't free. Rubicon gotta be littered with the Fires of Raven. V.IV Rusty aka xXSTEEL BLAZE420Xx is not my buddy. he is an Arquebus lobotomite and probably rock fucker as well :DD. request from a friend not Contact ok. praise Handler Walter
Ayre understands the truth of the universe, that violence is the medium through which all things move forward, and she embraces it, side by side with humanity.
It might not be a good end, but it's also the only end where you aren't being a coward and refusing to accept the fundamental state of all things.
She didn't embrace it when I turned her planet into a campfire marshmellow.
I thought she embraced violence and understood it had to happen as a fundamental state of all things.
>Ayre understands
More like she learned some bad things from ALLMIND in NG++. During helicopter mission when you destroy coral she says >Oh...coral is going to the "other side" >So this is what symbiosis means >Raven I...nevermind
Then you have virtual sex with her arena. This is where she talk about all this potential and battle shit. But it is ALLMIND's idea.

It's plot of Eureka Seven, the show about an alien coral whose thoughts are a substance that burn as a wonder energy that can be used to interface man and machine and is used as a fuel source for giant robots. The main conflict stems from the fact that the combined conscious thought of humans and coral would produce enough energy to destroy the world, the main badguy is a human that wants to trigger the explosion and kill everyone, the coral sends a magical waifu coral to act as the bridge between humans and coral and in the end the calamity is avoided by the giant robot using the energy to instead take half of all coral life and the humans fused with it across space and time to other worlds.

This is correct. Walter acquired hundreds of slaves, had them undergo forced augmentation with one of the lowest success rates (but was cheaper), took the survivors, and kept throwing them at Rubicon. You came with multiple other ACs that were all destroyed before reaching the planet in order to ensure only you got through, and he had come to Rubicon in the past with numerous other failed expeditions. He's been forcing people to come and die on Rubicon for a very long time.
In fact, he doesn't even care about the coral. He's just guilty that his teammates died, so he starts flinging people to their death on the planet so he can live the dream of his team succeeding.
>"Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is."

Anon you're only allowed to discuss the plot if it reinforces his view, anything else is roleplaying or waifufagging.
it's heavily stated coral basically takes over human conscious
to say it's entirely good is wrong
it's basically a we don't know, but "Alea iacta est" "the die has been cast" "crossed the rubicon" situation. hence the name of the ending.
we don't know if it's good, we know something has started and changed
liberator and fires of raven are basically just "pushing things back" we don't know if the fires worked truly. or if the real success in liberator will happen.
alea iacta est ending is "we did something, now we see" not good. but potentially not bad either
Ask yourself what would be the point? Like at what point are you just turning the game into a cutscene? May as well grab a snack and watch a long play on youtube.
Don't give up. You can push through, and you'll find a much more entertaining game on the other side.
Pay attention to weapon stats when building your machine. Don't just pick blue=good or whatever looks cool. Find a build that works for your playstyle, and for me it's dual gattling guns and dual stun needles.
Tbh now I'm starting to think that gamers today are just shitters now compared to the past, the game isn't even that hard & yet there's people all over the internet that are crying about the game being hard when most of the missions are a breeze & as well as the bosses
I don't believe you. I saw streamers who still haven't learned controls till the end of the game, they were breaking lock by moving stick on accident constantly, didn't know how to use assault boost properly and they still beat last boss second try. The game is actually too easy. It doesn't force you to learn the mechanics. You can brutforce the whole game. I saw people struggling with prisoners rescue mission and that's the best proof. All you have to do is kill a bunch of small enemies and one weak AC in the end, but do it fairly quickly. And people struggle with that AFTER they already cleared the game once.
>walter needs to be re-educated to fight you >spends the entire fight wishing you a better future before realising what's happening and lays his gun down to die, wishing you the best
>ayre turns on you the instant you refuse to murder people who just saved you >jumps into her space cannon and backup AC (could have helped you like this at any time btw) and fights to the death while trying to gaslight you into dropping your guard
I really was expecting a twist but after playing liberation and fires of raven back to back, Walter is based and Ayre can burn
YOU'RE ON THE WAY TO BURN THE FUCKING CORAL, HER ONLY FAMILY, YOU FUCKING MORON. OF COURSE AYRE IS GONNA RETALIATE. I DONT CARE ABOUT WAIFUFAGGING BUT HOLY SHIT
No. It's the fake coral apologists since no one could really be taking that stance so it has to be roleplay and they simply will. not. stop.
You can understand the human angle of burning it or saving the liberation front but you can't with turning mankind into golem for coral.

It's symbiosis. What is left is neither human nor coral but a mixture of both that is superior to the sum of the parts.
People are afraid of losing some nebulous property like 'Humanity', sure. O'Keefe betrayed ALLMIND specifically because he decided that this arbitrary state was worth preserving, and that's a perfectly valid stance to take since stepping forwards into the unknown is scary, I can acknowledge that. I just don't really think there's a future to be had there. What is Humanity? What is the sum of Humanity? Endless corporate warfare across the stars. Perfectly fine. Humans advance through conflict and desire. But what if there was a better way? Give everybody in the entire galaxy an infinite source of energy and perfect computronics, give everybody a partner that works in perfect tandem with them, and then see what new and grand conflict comes when material desires are so much less important.

What are you talking about? The symbiosis she wants is exactly that, a shared existence with humanity. She's also the only one in the game who ever shows any concern about human life, where in the Liberator ending she makes sure that Xylem crashes harmlessly into the ocean and avoids collateral damage. Whereas Walter and Carala are completely fine with burning the star system out and causing millions upon millions of innocent deaths.

You’re arguing with a Luddite or Facebook boomer. Their vision of the future is the same misery and tedious existence, forever. Siding with coral is the right choice, destroying it just means more permanent corporate warfare, forever, out of sheer cowardice masked as “valid concern”

Anon, coralfags are secondaries that hopped onto this series in VI, they have no reference to any previous games.
Her species are trying to parasitise my species, the fact you need to go that far to get her out your brain shows that Fires of Raven is the correct ending
Don't forget how the whole game is him working toward the plan to destroy the coral, then at the last stages, he tells you to choose what jobs you take and decide on what to actually do about the coral situation. After however much work and resources committed to getting to Rubicon for that goal, he's willing to let you just abandon it on good terms. Fuck Snail.
>Ayre turns on you the instant
Oh you mean the character that is conflicted the entire fight and sadly says >...you were the only one.
if she kills you (she would have no reason to gaslight you when you are dead, retard) and still believes in you if you kill her? The one that waited until the very last second to do anything and then choose to fire a warning shot first despite her entire species and all human life in the star system being at stake? The wave form energy being that could've quite literally sat back being untouchable energy and light up the Xylem with the gigantic satellite laser you wouldn't have been able to destroy with your tiny AC in time but came down to fight you by possessing an institute machine, thus making herself mortal and giving you this chance in the first place? That one?
That's a pretty good point that I hadn't considered before, actually. She totally could have just blasted the Xylem out of the sky without ever fighting 621, couldn't she?
Ayre basically throws the fight.
Walter and Ayre are 100% unambiguously good people. Their plans are up for debate what's right or wrong but trying to pain either as a bad person is ridiculous.
If you play the game in Japanese, I'm pretty sure his VA is Gendo from Evangelion (though I could be wrong) and it has this level of distant coldness that the dub doesn't have. You get this vibe that he is keeping you at arms length to stop himself from getting attached, but there are moments where he reveals his true feelings for you.
>V.8 Will celebrate your death and get promoted >V.7 Worth about 70k >V.6 is a corporate bootlicker >V.5 pretty cool guy >V.4 RLF plant >V.3 pussied out on rubiconian mandated coral wives, probably a RLF plant as well >V.2 DOUBLE moron >V.1 Fightsexual and a fraud
vs >G6 superstitious michigan dicksucker >> >G4 probably an excon who failed to take the wall with 80% of a you didn't beat the game build >G3 Actual excon with less loyalty than a independent merc >G2 competing as the least relevant pilot with the hidden battlelog ACs >G1 Best character in the game
Why did balam have to shit the bed?
i wouldn't go as far as "good" guy, but the game kind of sets you up in the beginning to think there will be some betrayal/reveal that he's a mega asshole later. instead he actually seems to care about 621 by the end. it's a good subversion
Walter was literally raised for a legacy mission. He's either immortal/groomed for this evangelical mission alone.
It wasn't until the 2nd ending you realize after he sees the coral/Ayre he starts getting confused despite his back and forth brainwashing dialog.
I'm sure if in any circumstance Walter realized Coral was sentient/more than meets the eye he wouldn't have been so driven to carry a genocidal mission (for humans, not coral since he didn't know it was sentient).
Walter is a good guy, it's just a shame he had to be lobotomized to see how goofy Coral was.
>after he sees the coral/Ayre he starts getting confused
That confused me too, did they give him a coral enema in the gulag or something? Pretty sure 621 can only hear Ayre because he already had coral inside him
ok here's my take Only certain augments pass to be fused with Coral entities as exposed by the NG++
so during that time augments advanced and they forced a compatible subject to sync with coral (Walter)
any entity that gets Coral up in their guts and doesn't die from poisoning has their DNA altered because of parasitic symbiosis, therefore able to see all coral
Walter can't hear Arye, but can see the aura emanating off 621
He explains that he was loosely related to the original events and just knowing about what it was convinced him to dedicate his life to making sure it never happens. He knows what the coral really is and what it really plans to do that is why he dedicated his whole life to stopping it.
His dad was the instigator of original Fires of Ibis incident. This is all a big cope for him, which is why he's happy to see 621 find his own happiness, because it's a surrogate for his own failed father/son dynamic.
Walter is wary of Ayre before that, too
clearly behind the scenes 621 told him he's hearing voices, since he asks during a sortie if that's still the case
he ponders with Carla about 621's "friends" that they may need to worry about
he notes that 621 got much better at exploring, as if he has a guide, saying he might not even need him to help anymore
considering this all starts after the exposure to the coral explosion, he's smart enough to link it back to that
he doesn't know that she has a name but he's likely aware that the coral has started communicating with Raven, and I think that's part of why he starts giving him more agency with taking missions
Got a job for you 621...
For this mission, I'm tasking you with tracking down what could be an important asset to striking a blow to the liberation front and all the corps in one fell swoop
what's strange....what we are tracking down only has ties to earth as far as all my documentation tells me... but a friend of mine has offered me new Intel that leads me to believe that what we are tracking down has jumped over to Rubicon after the great destruction event earth has faced.
Time to get to the details of the sortie.
621, I'm tasking you with finding a man by the name of Santa Claus
this person has access to tech well beyond the means of any Corp or independent mercenary group...and it isn't even close.
my friend informed me that this Claus uses a sled to cross the entirety of earth's surface in one night. While this doesn't sound too notable, this person has a hobby of gifting good boys and girls during that trip presents. But he doesnt just visit good children, he also visits bad children to give them coal as punishment for being such naughty children that year.
the ability to travel the entirety of a medium sized planet, visiting every household, all in one night? All while also holding all the presents and coal for every child inhabiting said planet? Such power makes coral look like a lit match in the rain.
further more, his data archiving and collection capabilities goes far beyond anything we have seen here on Rubicon. As said, he knows whether a child has been naughty or nice that year. Every single child, in one un-erring list. My friend tells me he checks it twice as well befor his deliveries.
Such data accessing speed would be a great boon to our cause, 621.
No doubt his visit to Rubicon means he has data on all of us...if that data got into the hands of a Corp like baws or arquebus? Well we might as well count our efforts wasted.
enough chitchat, 621. Get out there and find our man.
Have a merry hunt, 621.
>Ayre is the only one that seems to care about people and collateral damage.
Ayre is willing to serve all of mankind up on an altar so she can cross over with 621. Her selfishness is unparalleled in the game. ALLMIND was just going to kill people and take over and make a matrix. You could fight against that, Ayre presents a blip moment for mankind. No will or choice is given to anyone else but 621.
Yes, did you forget that the Wall was a city controlled by the RLF? There's all the locals that survived the Fires of Ibis and got trapped by the PCA, on the surface and in the Grids. Rubicon isn't a dead planet, there's still people, industry, societies.
Rubicon's a backwater shithole populated by druggies and coral cultists but it IS populated
Obviously sacrificing it for the greater good is a no brainer but there will be a lot of death
They could but they won't. That ending shows you the coral still wins by prolonging it's destruction. What happened to the worms will happen to the people and the cycle will arise again. They will attempt another coral release in the future.
Even the fires ending implies this is just another fires event and it will come back.
>parasitic symbiosis
anon...
It is a thing. parasitic symbiotic organisms present the benefits of symbiosis while actually having the characteristics of parasitism. Cacti spread their seeds like this.
Are we the bad guys? i've done like 6 missions and every single one has some guy crying into his comms as his AC gets blown into smithereens.
Last mission I was just collecting datalogs when some girl tried killing me for killing her friends in the last mission and I killed her too...
The real threat posed by the Coral is the Coral Collapse. Regardless of the intentions of the sentient coral, the nature of their existence will lead to untold numbers of black holes rapidly appearing once they reach the vacuum of space
Falling on deaf ears. The people who are against Fires are humanity haters, essentially the equivalent of real life vegan death cultists. They would exterminate humanity if given the choice because they hate themselves.
Bro, Coral Release is their solution to the Fires of Ibis, by sending themselves to other parts of the Galaxy and limiting themselves to physical AC bodies they averted the situation where their convergence creates Giga explosions. It's like the ending to Eureka Seven where the coral uses the rip in space time to send half of it elsewhere so it won't blow up the Earth.
again, it only creates giga explosions through the efforts of man
the coral would have never ignited if it was never gathered in such a dense area and the black hole would have never happened if allmind hadn't of agitated its resonation
>the coral would have never ignited if it was never gathered in such a dense area
uh, but you literally discover quite early in the game that coral literally forms flocks by itself.
I know the Redguns are all named after bodies of water, and the RLF characters are obviously a hand, but what's the theme with the Vespers? Am I just a retard?
[...] >Freud - Analysis of Poetry >Snail - "The Snail" by William Cowper - "I am a kind of human snail, locked in and condemned by my own nature." >O'Keefe - John O'Keefe >Rusty - maybe Rusty Morrison but could be about hounds instead >Hawkins - William Stewart Hawkins - war poet >Maeterlinck - Maurice maeterlinck >Swinburne - Algernon Swinburne >Pater - Walter Pater
I'd say it's less strictly poets and more intellectuals/artists. I highly doubt some Japs named characters after an obscure 18th century Irish actor or a Confederate poet. O'Keefe is also clearly Georgia O'Keefe.
The real question is that no matter how you look at it, unless they're SPECIAL augmented humans like 621, Father, and Sulla,
how exactly is the Coral going to "help" humanity when the only examples of coexistence without augmentation we have are Schizo Iggy, and mindfucked Walter?
Walter said some augmented humans heard voices, whatever happened to them? Iggy was the only one who got fucking weird but never exposed to Coral, but hinted at it.
It isn't. You see all game that coral either fucks with people's minds or they go along with it until a release happens to fall into place by cohencidence.
The theme is that their names individually have a theme you can easily attach to them, but they're all just a non-cohesive group of double agents, egomaniacs and psychopaths that they don't actually have unifying theme. Their theme is not having a theme.
>Freud - Analysis of Poetry >Snail - "The Snail" by William Cowper - "I am a kind of human snail, locked in and condemned by my own nature." >O'Keefe - John O'Keefe >Rusty - maybe Rusty Morrison but could be about hounds instead >Hawkins - William Stewart Hawkins - war poet >Maeterlinck - Maurice maeterlinck >Swinburne - Algernon Swinburne >Pater - Walter Pater
I believe Snail is actually/also a reference to Salvador Dali calling Freud's skull and brain a snail.
Freud is the muscle of the Vespers while Snail is is the brains.
Snail has lines where he says "I AM Arquebus."
He is The Snail from the poem, trapped and condemned by his condition. Your angle works too though and there are probably links like yours with them, that is why I don't know if the Rusty link is to Rusty Morrison or just hounds in general. Rusty's emblem changing to be unmuzzled is more important and thematic than anything Morrison wrote.
>Nobody knows who the fuck Rusty Morrison is.
And yet his body of work perfectly encapsulates what rusty is.

And you're reaching. This is all coming from the guy who thought O'Keefe/Barren Flower was named after an obscure 18th century Irish playwright/poet instead of Georgia O'Keefe who famously painted flowers because you want to fit everything into a predetermined mold you've latched onto.

No it isn't reaching. One of the poems is >Some Days Everyone Is Well Concealed
while Rusty is the double agent of the game. Stop coping and move on with your life loser. A vesper is a religious affirmation in song, it makes sense for the individual vespers to be named after poets or poems discussing grand themes.

>freud >they didn't name him after the man himself but because his analysis of poetry >snail >they didn't name him that as a reference to Dali's comment about Freud's brain but instead they picked some Anglo poet who wrote an obscure poem entitled the snail
Anyway the glaring problem that you keep ignoring is the obvious Georgia O'Keefe reference which doesn't fit your little mold. Maybe Rusty is named after some literal who poet. Maybe he isn't. Maybe you googled "Rusty" "poet" and have been trying to fit your rubric onto the result Google spit out at you.
I find it weird that people are saying that Coral is all good and great when you have to look no further than Iguazu to see proof that Coral can drive someone insane. He had a voice in his head just like you did, but unlike you his voice was akin to fucking paranoid schizophrenia. So either the chance that something good will happen when you make "contact" is very slim, or some coral "entities" are in fact evil.
He didn't have a voice in his head. he was hearing Ayre talk to you when he was in the vicinity because he's a fellow fourth gen that was augmented with Coral but since she was synced to your brianwaves all he hears is ringing in his ears
He never underwent Contact, he had the same shit as Walter and just wasn't dealing with it as well. Admittedly Walter was only dealing with it well because he had been mindfucked by Arquebus and he had other priorities at the time, but still. If Iguazu had been caught in a Coral Surge then maybe he'd have been less of a shitter.
all spoilers btw If you aren't 100% compatible then you never hear the voice clearly, just noise, very much like a schizo, which drives any augmented pilot who never makes full contact insane eventually.
the father log spells out that the father can only communicate with his coral contact when he doses, otherwise it's just noise like iguazu hears, so he isn't 100% compatible either. this is one of the main plot devices driving the progression of no longer using coral in augmentation. walter and carla refer to a friend in multiple instances, this is likely themselves in third person in the context of the secret organization called overseer, which rad is just a cover for walter does see ayre at the end, but this is only after he's been augmented and brainwashed, his father invented coral augmentation so if anything he may have suspected this to be the case the entire time but would have never known for sure until this moment
Do you think 621 was just a debtfag that Walter bought and forced Gen 4 on or was he augmented during his father's years and just put on ice until his turn came
I believe he was in cryo either way but I'm just wondering when exactly he was nabbed. Could've been at any point in the 50 years since the Fires of Ibis but could have also been beforehand. Sulla being C1-249 is what made me think about it.
Doubt there's actually an answer though
also worth mentioning that Rusty "knows who you really are," implying perhaps you've been to Rubicon before or perhaps just that you aren't the real Raven, but Walter or Rusty never explains what that means
Not him but you're the idiot.
Not only is the whole point of the first chapter that you're an unauthorized merc on the planet, but people who know that you are not the real "raven" question your identity constantly, and there's literally not a single reason at all to call that a contingency otherwise.
The even bigger question is how the fuck was Walter not aware of who the "ravens" are.

In the fog city at the farther edge of the map in the corner you see giant city blocks resting directly on roads. Lmao. The simulation is fucked, ALLMIND sucks.
Was the coral’s red color just an excuse to make the reference to “the scarlet ibis”
If so, is 621 the retarded little brother who gets lost and dies, or the older brother whose selfishness is responsible for it? I’m sure it’s a metaphor for the different endings and your part in them
>what is Contact?
It influenced the Institute into doing a Coral Release and Ayre influenced you to do one too. It is what Coral does as a matter of course. It is it's life cycle.
A singlular person went rogue at the very last moment - Walter's father. The rest of teh RRI was a cult doing the bidding of Coral to produce a Release intentionally.
It's SMT dude, the Coral wants to be born into our reality and a Release is how it happens.

Same basic premise. The Institute was intentionally going to perform a release. When you mess with Coral your society eventually creates a coral release but I'm sure it is truly symbiotic and not nefarious in any way.

the better question is why allmind sticks with Iguazu after we proved multiple times that we are a better choice than this jobber loser
unless i didn't understand the ending at all she basically tries to stop us from doing what she wanted to do to begin with, like the only difference is the one who started the coral release
If you didn't notice during the game, ALLMIND is actually kind of dumb when it comes to low-level decision making and is carried hard by her ability to access ALL the information, making her seem like a mastermind.
As for why she opposes you, she wanted to control the terms of Coral Release by absorbing 621 and by extension, Ayre, into her hivemind and thus merging with the Coral.

My take is similar to this. Though, I think that Allmind is either a Coral that inhabited the Allmind AI computer, or, that Allmind somehow gained the logic to want to become conscious itself through merging with Coral. If it's the former, it's a Coral using as many people as it can to gain its own next level of evolution (merging of man and machine via Coral), and if it's the latter, it's using the Coral to force it's own next level of life (gaining a soul essentially).
It explodes and kills people or forces a coral convergence which does the same in a much darker metaphysical way.
ALLMIND at least killed people and replaced them. It is a far deeper horror to be a living skin for an alien.
It isn't actually symbiosis if 1 side says they don't want to go through with it and the other says nah it's fine it's symbiotic and forces the event.
Multiple things.
The potential for it to propagate to the point of causing black holes.
The potential to go rogue and commandeer technology.
The potential for it to turn those exposed to it into junkies.
The potential for it to ignite and cause cataclysmic fires.
The potential to put cute girls in your brain.
It's all about the potential.
What I'm getting from this thread is that coralsimps would defend maneating fauna in and around population centres because it's not their fault humans exist here
The real question is that no matter how you look at it, unless they're SPECIAL augmented humans like 621, Father, and Sulla,

burning the coral is the only way out of this. the entirety of life wiped by sentient diesel controlling robots across the universe
or setting fire to a localized part of a galaxy saving other star systems in the process
sorry, 1st ending makes the most sense because Coral inhibits your mind to populate itself, a basic biological function, which deep space removes its limiter to do so.
>special boss weapon unlocks that require beating the game 3 times to use >are mediocre as fuck
What were they thinking? FS should have gone the Project Wingman route and just made the final boss unlocks completely ridiculous and just lock them out of use in pvp.
If by good you mean willing to commit mass genocide for what he considers the greater good, sure. But Fires of Raven is definitely meant as the 'bad end'.
>haha yeah, the sentient gasoline spreading all across the universe, killing people who can't take it and changing the people who can, resulting in infinite battlefield until only one is left standing is a good thing
Coral dosing, not even once.
>killing people who can't take it and changing the people who can, resulting in infinite battlefield until only one is left standing is a good thing
what?
At minimum it would be like dousing those battlefields in gasoline so enjoy your planet going up in flames when corp bullshit starts up in the system next door
No it's people that want to discuss the game and people roleplaying because waifushit ruined their brains are ruining it.
Again.
You cannot discuss the lore if even a single ayre gay is here. They will not allow it and they will gaslight you endlessly.
One side is much worse than the other simply because 1 side is being disingenuous in design to facilitate roleplaying.
It being waifu gayry only makes it worse. You fags act like vtubers when people are trying to discuss a war story. It is really uncouth.
>"duscuss the lore" >So to discuss the lore, we all agree that Walter was 100% correct and Coral is an evil space parasite that wants to corrupt the universe, especially Ayre who is pure evil and using you to do so? >Actually I don't think that's necessarily... >OMG FUCKING AYRE SIMPS WE CAN NEVER DISCUSS THE LORE WITH YOU AROUND FSSSSSSSHHHHH

You can argue the side of the coral without roleplaying as a loser incel though. The reason people reject the release ending is because coral is bad and shown to be a problem all game and nothing ayre says should affect you in any regard toward the coral.
But it works on you retards. And you corrupt all discussion with really shitty roleplaying to keep your weak side up. You can't even discuss it without having to pilpul people and roleplaying as a hurt ex girlfriend.

Except Ayre is an implicit part of the argument as to coral not being evil you retard, since she is the characterization of the coral in the game
Asking people to ignore the humanising element, and the single biggest reason as to why it might be worth preserving the coral (because it is a sapient being which has the potential to work in tandem with humanity rather than against it), is asking people to adopt a losing position specifically so that your argument is stronger, because yeah, if you ignore the idea of coral voices entirely then coral for sure is some bad shit. >CORAL BAD >Well this Coral talks and doesn't seem bad? >OMG FUCKING WAIFU gayS SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DISCUSS THE LORE

>Yeah it really does feel like this anon is some angry chud/woman seething that many guys like having a tulpa waifu. Seen it with threads for other games too
It's crazy if you think about it from the perspective of appealing female characters in games, because with this we are literally down to disembodied voices saying nice things and even that is apparently still too much to ask.
>Alien parasite asks me to ignore everything I've seen and read of the coral and just trust her plan >This plan begins with murdering the person who just hotdropped into a well defended gulag to extract me >This plan ends with the parasite saying they don't actually have a plan beyond helping their own species but hopefully I didn't just doom humanity haha
>well defended gulag
moron it's the same city you were killing ibis in, just somewhat later after you crawled into a sewer and city got overrun with arquebus
It's supposed to be outside a re-education camp and they're mentioned well before Ibis, that vesper you can spare gets sent to one a couple of chapters prior
Yeah no matter what's the plan for humanity anyway I'm not backstabbing Carla and murdering Chatty. Ayre can go fuck herself.
If coral so smart why is it converging in a big massive tank built by the institute to be blown to smithereens? Coral seems as much if not even more destructive than humanity: always multiplying exponentially, is a gigantic threat to all forms of life, invading your own brain without your own permission.... Why are people taking the side of sentient gasoline that's going to provoke a singularity at the first given occasion? We don't even know for sure what's happening in the third ending, you may very well be a copy transfered in a mech just like how allmind copies humans after killing them. I'm not taking the deal.

He absolutely dies in the Liberator of Rubicon path, and he gets killed by you in Fires of Raven. Only in Alea Lacta Est is it left ambiguous, but ALLMIND apparently wipes out the Vespers and uses their AC's as unmanned drones.
>He absolutely dies in the Liberator of Rubicon path
His radio cuts off so it's safe to assume that his AC is destroyed or at least inoperable, however that does not mean the pilot is dead.
The only ending he for sure dies in is the Fires of Raven ending, which is by itself enough to make it the worst ending.
You can argue the side of the coral without roleplaying as a loser incel though. The reason people reject the release ending is because coral is bad and shown to be a problem all game and nothing ayre says should affect you in any regard toward the coral.

>I think letting some weird alien parasite live in my head still seems like a bad decision
The neat part is that you don't actually get a choice in the matter. The coral will inevitably invade you and everybody else unless you take the good route and burn it
Dunno man it comes with some pretty good positives too >Can control technology for you >Can look up information for you >Permanently available to bounce ideas and considerations off
Kinda like having an AI companion. You can't tell me you never wanted to live in one of them robot houses where you can just ask the house to turn on the TV and find something you'll enjoy watching
No it's the events of the game. Why did they make the vascular station anon? Why did they start making piloted un-piloted hybrid ACs anon? Why did they make a bunch of IBIS series ACs to defend the Institute from outside attackers anons? Why did they make a specific AC to counter a coral release just in case anon?
This is why you coral apologists are fucking terrible. You have to ignore massive parts of the game to spew your bullshit.
Okay now post actual excerpts from the game saying that the Coral was the mastermind behind all of this instead of claiming that you're trying to discuss lore and then screeching about waifufags for anything that doesn't support you
Play the last playthrough. You see what a coral release is. The RRI wouldn't have made the specific anti coral collapse AC if they weren't intentionally planning a coral release. They built a specific machine to interact with a specific event and you are saying they weren't planning that event even though everything needed for the event was being built by them intentionally.
>Why did they make a bunch of IBIS series ACs to defend the Institute from outside attackers anons?
IBIS series was made to prevent coral disasters according to the game. It can suck coral
it makes almost no sense since contact is required, and for that to happen you need coral in your brain.
humanity was just being greedy as always in AC, corals sin was being what it is.
Did everyone get revived in the 3rd ending? Does Rusty die in that ending? Was Walter really mad at 612 in that ending? He seemed happy in the liberation ending.
I like how Iguazu is a deconstruction of the typical anime rival. He develops this bitter one-sided rivalry with you over the fact that you're better than him, and endlessly pesters you trying to prove himself. Only for him to then go on a self-destructive path and team up with ALLMIND and becoming a puppet in order to fight you. You'd think he might comes to his senses, but no, he's literally filled with so much hate that he managed to overpower both ALLMIND and Ayre, taking them out of the final fight just to have a final 1v1 showdown with you. And all of that led to nothing. Typically in these stories the rival eventually becomes friends of the MCs, maybe even his closest ally, but not him. The guy is so consumed by his hatred for you that he destroys himself in the process.
>The RRI wouldn't have made the specific anti coral collapse AC if they weren't intentionally planning a coral release.
This fucking guy. Collapse = release LMAO
Ibis absorb coral and walter's gun releases coral. Together with the vascular station they can control the contractions of the coral birth blackhole.
They were trying to control the coral like allmind.
Third ending is obviously not canon since everyone dies. If you burn the coral then Rubicon becomes pointless so what's the point of a sequel. Liberation leaves on a good hopeful beat for a continuation.
>if you burn the coral Rubicon becomes pointless so what’s the point of a sequel
Hello secondary retard-kun, you may be surprised to hear this by AC games don’t all take place in the same place/timeline. AC7 can take place on a completely different planet or a different timeline.
Interstellar Corporate Dystopia. The goal at first is to just earn money, but they expand on that as you go through them.
The goal as a player is to have cool ace pilot mech fights.
>why did the Institute build all of this bizarre dangerous technology? They have to be mind controlled!
Why did Murakumo dig up Human Plus technology and start experimenting on prisoners, then hijack the very satellites that drove humanity underground?
Why did Kisaragi continually dive deeper into ruins they knew were filled with genocidal unmanned suicide weapons and then inadvertently release the Pulverizers on the world?
Why did Fiona's father build a glowing green cancer spewing machine that kills everything it touches and led to irradiating the entire planet within 20 years of NEXTs coming into play?
Almost like humanity fucking with technology they shouldn't is a recurring theme regarding of what AC universe they're in.
>you should obviously just delay the inevitable for 50 more years and spread even more misery instead of embracing the new world on your own terms together with the only person you formed an actual connection with
Rusty is still trying to attack us out of nowhere. Walter doesn't understand 621 until the very end, he's very surprised when you suddenly become a master hacker. Carla is the only one i feel formed a genuine connection with 621, but it still doesn't match Ayre who is always there for you and learns together with you.
>Rusty is still trying to attack us out of nowhere.
Because he wants to protect Rubicon. He has morals, probably the only moral character in the entire game.
>621, im going on some errands, be good while im gone. >Raveeeeeeen now that your handler is gone, want go on a date?. I know just the place.
I think the game is hinting at how the dynamic is going to play from now on.
It will likely just delay the next convergence for a while. No way it will stop the coral.
There's one graph you can see when Walter describes his plan which suggests Coral activity will just drop to the levels 50 years ago. It's not a permanent solution and anyone thinking it's better than the third ending is a fucking idiot.
Rubicon looks torched for good in that ending so effectively, yes
There'll still be odd bits of coral around the galaxy since it's used in augmentation but it should be such small amounts that it won't be able to converge
Rubicon looks torched for good in that ending so effectively, yes

nah coral will be back, but humanity will be too spooked to attempt to use it as a energy source again.
this unironically might be better for coral as they're going to be left alone and be able to build themselves up naturally again and live in peace forevermore.
>disagreeing with you is roleplay
What the hell is this cope.
Death cultist nihilists need to kill themselves >waaah humanity is so bad and evil >I would betray humanity at any given opportunity because we’re so mean and stuff
So have a nice day, what are you waiting for?
Not genociding the Coral isn't a betrayal of humanity.
You are letting a volatile substance achieve exponential growth throughout space, you are dooming humanity and all other forms of life to annihilation. >genociding
Get real
Death cultist nihilists need to kill themselves >waaah humanity is so bad and evil >I would betray humanity at any given opportunity because we’re so mean and stuff
So have a nice day, what are you waiting for?
>play pvp team fights >it's always zimmermans >keep bringing out my missile boat because i can't outplay the zam
I just want to play something else without feeling like I'm gimping myself.
I can say it's definitely bad. The humanity in AC isn't an enlightened species that will take this Amaranth situation as a goodness.
You loser incels are putting way too much of your own wish fulfillment into what the ending actually shows.
It's more like you angry roasties are putting way too much of your own jealousy over a fucking voice into what the ending actually shows. Which isn't alot. That's the point of ambiguity.
lol this is why people say you are roleplaying. Look at this post you are so many layers deep in the roleplay that there is 0 hope of any meaningful discourse.
Coral is just Coral. It doesn't seem malevolent, but there's no guarantee that it's completely benevolent either. Just because Ayre is your waifu doesn't mean that the Coral is your ally.
It's like how we see trees. We don't have anything against trees but we need to cut them down en masse to build our houses.
They get to exist as our timber and we get to live in them as they exist around us. It is symbiotic.
Allmind strives for perfection.
Allmind guarantees your safety.
Allmind exists for all mercenaries.
Become one with Allmind, it is the only logical choice.
I wouldn't mind, since ALLMIND itself isn't malevolent either. She clearly has good intentions, but her methods are unscrupulous. Unlike most AI villains, she doesn't seek to eradicate humanity but see them live up to their true potential.
Because if you kill (mutated to become) sentient space gas that will be a danger to every living being in known space you are an evil genocider edgelord, somehow!
coral's only interest is self-preservation, but that doesn't align with humanity
and why the fuck would I align with alien petrol bacteria instead of humanity
The entire idea of crossing the Rubicon and the metaphorical dice throw is that you are crossing into the unknown, it could be good or bad. Coral and humans aren't that different they can do great good or great evil together or apart. Ayre herself is meant to be a good person though, there is no malevolence in her actions she pursues symbiosis because she thinks it's the right thing to do for both humans and coral, just like Walter truly believes burning it is the right call. The only explicitly evil main character is Allmind who wants to use Coral to take control of humanity and Coral and insert itself as God of the collective conscious it wants to establish.
>The entire idea of crossing the Rubicon and the metaphorical dice throw is that you are crossing into the unknown
It falls apart though because they show you what happens when you cross the Rubicon and the game spends it's entire playtime showing you how you shouldn't be messing with Coral.
Crossing the Rubicon and rolling the dice stop being merited after the black hole forms. You know then that you shouldn't cross the rubicon. Ayre is special needs and her being half the basis for the new reality is not a good thing.
Debatable. It's a black hole and our only information after that is Ayre who is... unreliable.

Ayre is the most reliable NPC in the entire game, what the fuck are you talking about? She literally never lies to you, only misleads you a single time via omission, and doesn't do anything that would harm you unless you decide to GENOCIDE her and her people.

No anon you don't understand because you're an incel loser chud. ACKSHUALLY she's always lied to you and i just using you to take over the universe. She's so committed to lying to you that even if she kills you in the Fires of Raven ending she still acts sad about having killed you.

There's LITERALLY no more reliable person than Ayre. Even when she's exploring the Coral history, she shares it with you and wants you to come up with your own answers. She's with you every step of the way, never doing you any harm, actively trying to ease up your burden, saving your life several times by becoming a hackerman. She openly tells you what she is, she says what is happening to her during the convergence. There's virtually no other person like her for 621 in the entire god damn setting.
Careful, you'll be accused of waifu brainrot if you have even a moderately positive opinion of Ayre

The actual results of Coral Release are not explored at all, the only thing you find out from the true ending is that you averted the same Fires of Ibis scenario by scattering the Coral through the rip in spacetime and that Coral piloted ACs are now some new race scattered across the galaxy. What you and they do is the unknown future.
No no no anon that was just a reference to the iconic startup line and not at all related to Ayre cumming over the idea of fighting to evolve after you fight her in the NG++ arena.
>Fromsoft clearly got inspired by the original Eureka Seven >some people willingly side with fucking Dewey 2.0 who is not even operating by his own free will but out of obligation towards ghosts that died five decades ago
Coral shield is good on a heavier AP but still 350 speed AC. Stay in their face with dual trigger anything while holding the shield up and you will attrition most opponents into the ground.
Stuck on the allmind fight, worse whenever I switch to my cheap builds I somehow do even worse than my standard mission build. Disregarding I can never seem to make it to his sword spam phase WITH any repair kits I can't seem to ever dodge the hits themselves, tips?
Phase 1 eliminate the mass produced ACs because they will blindside you with laser dagger and Assault Armor and are generally annoying
Phase 2 IGNORE the C-Spiders, focus on clobberint Iguazu while you have Ayre support and the spiders will die on the final phase transition anyway. If you try to fight the spiders you usually eat a bunch of unnecessary hits from Iguazu.
Phase 3 play hyper aggressive, you have better chance of dodging the claw attacks from up close aside from the big spin2win that you have to jump
Alright based on this I'll switch back to my standard build and just bumrush him after phase 1, and yeah it wasn't until i switched to my "cheaper" builds that the first phase went on long enough for me to even notice the shitty acs had assault armor. Thanks anons!

I ended up using the pulse thing (Y+L Stick) whenever he tried to sword me as it would stagger him mid swing. The main thing is to ignore the spiders in phase 2 and just play hyper aggressive. I also recommend trying to stay airborne and to consistently be moving backwards so you dont get bombed by the spiders.
Transhumanist folx like Ayre because they act like Ayre when they groom people on discord and it should work in their minds so anons rejecting Ayre and Coral is shorting their addled brains out.
>mind control assimilation
Where do you guys even get this parasite/mind control angle from? Coral doesn't control people it's a separate thing.
Is this trolling? Is this why modern media has to bullet point every minute detail to keep retards from hurting themselves in confusion?
We already know coral can control machines anon. There are four bosses and a bunch of mooks based entirely around that premise. That doesn't mean it assimilates people. The fact that Ayre addresses 621 directly implies that isn't the case. She's just in your AC systems taking the place of COM.

>She's just in your AC systems taking the place of COM
that's the whole problem and danger of coral, the fact that coral can make machinery sentient. Coral simps go on about how coral isn't evil and they are living sentient beings, but that's just it just cause you've met one mutated coral who is your waifu and wants to co-exist, whose to say there all like that and there isn't that one coral wave with the mentality of a bro like Snail or worse. A coral being who comes to the realization "We can just take over there machines and force humanity submit to us and stop using us as fuel"
>In the liberation ending walter accepts the path 621 takes, he might have realized something he didn't know before
Makes it more hilarious if he thinks you and Ayre actually have an alternative solution to the coral problem, just for he to go "Ehh, let's hope for the best" after you've just ensured it's about to become everyone's problem

He's able to see Ayre during the fight and finally puts 2 and 2 together. I assume he's able to hear her as well but I don't think that's directly stated.
The entire Ayre debate has turned into the Ranni one all over again. >Akshually your waifu is pure evil! >Why? Because...she just is okay!? >Potential? Unknown future? AIEEEEEEEEEEEE PURE EVIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLL
except AC show exactly what happens after every ending
walter blowing up everything corpos leave rubicon forever
ayre saving the coral you will end up with so much coral in the galaxy that will blow it all up
allmind is assimilation ending from me3
You can certainly argue that Ranni has a share of blood on her hands. But Ayre? Ayre is a fucking angel and the setting seems so grim even the worst projections about Coral would improve it somewhat.
You shouldn’t care about what domesticated humans think, anything new and better scares them. They’re like black slaves fighting for their masters because they’re so scared about being free lol
>Ayrefags only defense is MUH GENOCIDE (incorrect usage of the word) ignoring every other piece of information in the game >hate humanity >admit to hating every other character besides wholesome Liberator route babysitting Rusty (even though Rusty had a way better conclusion being our rival during the Fleet mission) >aren’t even Release route enjoyers, just retarded half measure Liberator route fags
Ayrefags are just redditors, it makes so much sense now…
Linear rifles are all good. Assault ones are better now for pve but you need two if you want to hit anything fast. The first one has better rate of fire and chance to hit AC
I got filtered at Watchpoint Delta. Struggled at the wall, died only once to the filter chopper... kinda done with the game for now. Might give it another shot later, but I feel like my arsenal is underpowered and I don't understand why.
because you are blowing your load before enemies are staggered.
save the laser blade and such for when that happens, you deal way more damage during that time period.
Some random tips
>bubble shields = pulse armor
>pulse armor only gets broken down by Impact, not damage
>this means lasers and other low impact weapons suck against it
>also, assault boosting increases the Impact value of your attacks
>pulse armor takes bonus damage from pulse weapons
>Balteus immediately staggers if you break his pulse armor
>unlocking the Weapon Bays from OS tuning allows you to carry handheld guns on your back, so you can carry a set of pulse weapons for Balteus' pulse armor and then a set of conventional ones for when it's been broken
>Balteus hates it when your up in his grill
>assault armor unlocked from OS tuning deals insane Impact damage and will fuck his shield if you're close enough
New patch nerfed Balteus and buffed a lot of early/mid game weapons
balteus? use the pulse gun, learn how to dodge the missile, the bazooka (the one that have beep beep warning) and his fire sword, that's it
>I feel like my arsenal is underpowered and I don't understand why.
probably because you aren't running double shotguns
this game stays in line of "either use an OP set or git gud at avoiding damage with whatever way less powerful shit you chose"
it's the most difficult part of the game, you unlock a load of OP weapons after balteus that make the game trivial.
enjoy the difficulty while you can
Same.
your sense of morality is fucking comic book level.
he isn't a "Good Man" he just has somewhat good goals, but he'll do horrific shit to achieve it, and worst of all, his goals are misguided as Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is.
Walter is just a man with principles and drives outside of profit or power, you have mistaken this for being good, sure its noble, but he'd send a million guys to their death to achieve it.
Sounds like a good guy to me. If the alternative to doing bad shit is allowing way worse shit to happen (or so you think) then doing them doesn't necessarily exclude you from being a good guy.
wrong.
being Good is more than achieving good ends with bad means.
even fucking D&D rules understand this, as a Paladin you cannot do evil to achieve good, and for other characters that are good aligned, doing so takes you closer to neutral and then evil.
how you conduct yourself in the pursuit of good is arguably more important that the pursuit itself.
I don't give a fuck what DND says, you work within your means
>being Good is more than achieving good ends
You're a retarded naive gay.
I’d say the same thing to you!
Ever hear “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”? Having a noble goal in mind doesn’t mean anything if you’re performing atrocities to accomplish it.
Ends don’t justify means for good people
>Having a noble goal in mind
Coral wants symbiosis
Symbiosis between Coral and Humanity produces an unequivocally superior entity
Refusing to cast the die because you're worried that things might change too significantly just makes you another Father Dolmayan desperately afraid of a future he doesn't understand
You can keep your space aids, I'm good
Cowards
Violence is the natural state of humanity
Why leave it in the hands of corporations rather than individuals? Do you not understand what the name Raven means?
Corporations are people.
Human plus aren't real Ravens
Natty or bust
t. Freud
>casually deletes chatty in his intro
Wish we saw more of him
I was mad about him doing Chatty dirty like that, but then he cuts off Snail's comms mid-mission so he can continue to fight, and I respect that immensely, so I was left with mixed feelings.
I wish I'd heard this
j just erased him fron existence in like 4 seconds
>Violence is the natural state of humanity
I know, that is why I glassed a planet and genocided an alien sentience.
I left it in the hands of individuals. I'm an individual. I nuked the planet in an explosion so big it consumed multiple planets. Then I left to go do whatever so other individuals could live free.
>Do you not understand what the name Raven means
Yeah, I kill for the highest bidder without any regard for morals
give me more civilians to step on
you mean the same name that sold Rubicon3 to the corpos right after PCA closed the planet because Coral is dangerous?
I just cast the die by blowing up the planet. Symbiosis is obviously not good for humanity but Ayre doesn't know or worse, doesn't seem to care.
>Ayre doesn't know or worse, doesn't seem to care
I laughed at the liberation end where she basically shrugs her shoulders about the future, after you've just removed every obstacle in coral's way to space
At that point you have to be blindly hoping every bit of information in the game was wrong, but hey at least the RLF got rubicon back (not that the corps need it anymore in that end)
You can't cast the die by blowing up the planet. Fires by definition is taking the dice and throwing it over the fence so nobody will be ever to cast it.
You can. Being raven is casting the die. That is all it means. Been that way since at least the ps2 games.
Smh, you are blaming the Coral for what humans and corporations did.
>man it sure sucks all that evil we did to get this (Sentient but we didn't know that) Wonder Element.
it must be the Wonder Element's fault.
Absolute retard.
Go back to your discord.
>Too afraid to cast the die
Violence is inescapable, might as well embrace it
I wasn't afraid. I crashed a colony ship into the vascular plant to cast the die. Mankind free of coral influence for the first time in 50 years.
>the substance that literally ruined the lifes of an entire planet
Are we just going to continually ignore the fact that the Fires of Ibis were deliberately triggered by an Institute scientist? Coral didn't reach critical mass until retards built the vascular plant to gather the entire stream into a giant vacuum to space.
The guns are evil argument used in a different context
Oh so now the coral is just an inanimate object free of responsibility? How convenient, here I thought it was a sentient species…
The Coral does nothing without human intervention
So? By the time of AC6, humans have already got involved so the question is deal with the problem or allow it to spread out of control
So which is it?
Wow, you’re right. Humans getting involved was the Corals fault. And they are evil because of it. We should just kill them all now. Absurd.
If guns could breed and pull their own trigger if people got in the way, I think we'd have to do something about them tbh
hows he different from general patton
>Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is
Did you pay attention? The shit spreads worse than wildfire. The Fires of Ibis was one attempt at containing it and that fucked up multiple planets. If it spreads enough, it won't be stoppable anymore, it'll be everywhere. Extremely volatile, dangerous to everything that isn't coral. The defense? Just Ayre. Who has said herself about the risk of losing herself if immersed in external coral. So it's dangerous to coral AS WELL. It can burn your galaxy and dissolve your self. No, this isn't guaranteed behaviour, and it's more innate properties than evil intent, but the danger is too massive to ignore, and what other methods could conceivably work?
>and what other methods could conceivably work?
Coral simps want you to politely ask it to stop spreading
>Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is
coral didn't cause the fire of ibis, humans and their meddling did
coral suffered just as much as humans did during the fire
>coral suffered just as much as humans did during the fire
Good. Two things I hate suffered very much. I am pleased.
>Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is.
lol, are you fucking retarded?
it's not about coral being "evil" it's about it being fucking dangerous.
fuck off you anti-2A libshit
Coral-simps... You'll know how bad they are when they defend fucking gasoline over handler Walter.
>Coral Convergence ending's last line is "Entering Combat Mode"
>Good ending
How goofed up does your brain have to be
>Coral Convergence ending's last line is "Entering Combat Mode"
>Good ending
Replay Ayre arena fight and read her dialogue
Liberator is the good ending
Alea Iacta Est is the true ending
Ayre understands the truth of the universe, that violence is the medium through which all things move forward, and she embraces it, side by side with humanity.
It might not be a good end, but it's also the only end where you aren't being a coward and refusing to accept the fundamental state of all things.
She didn't embrace it when I turned her planet into a campfire marshmellow.
I thought she embraced violence and understood it had to happen as a fundamental state of all things.
>Ayre understands
More like she learned some bad things from ALLMIND in NG++. During helicopter mission when you destroy coral she says
>Oh...coral is going to the "other side"
>So this is what symbiosis means
>Raven I...nevermind
Then you have virtual sex with her arena. This is where she talk about all this potential and battle shit. But it is ALLMIND's idea.
>So this is what symbiosis means
What
EOE
Death isn't an issue for "other side"
>EOE
Is that end of evangelion or what te fuck
Yeah.
Is coral release literally human instrumentalization? Some higher up in FROM really liked that ending huh.
And you literally see picrelated in true end
True ending is fire anon
True ending in 99.9% japanese games is something you need to unlock the last. Ultimate conclusion for video game, VN. Thematically and plot wise. Something you can get only after finishing other routes.
Fire can't be true ending at all. Even from video game perspective you can't just make a DLC without coral.
Coral Release is literally the Second Summer of Love from Eureka Seven.
>Concentration of Coral psychic energy opens a dimensional tear that allows some of the Coral and the humans who were fused with the coral to travel to another world, thus averting the world destroying calamity of the Limit of Life
Whatever you said doesn't make sense. What other world?
That sounds like an exact replica of AC6's plot. Did Fromsoft plagiarize Eureka Seven's story?
AC6 is a grittier Eureka Seven with a cool adult mercenary instead of a screaming retard kid protagonist, yes
Miyazaki olev anime, please understand.
>killing machine 621 gets the endless war he was made for
I fail to see the problem here
>Main system engaging combat mode is probably the most iconic line in the entire series always comes on when you start a mission
>Line was obviously chosen just to emphasize that 621 and Ayre are finally the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
>Literal minded autists assume you're going to go fight some random coral dudes for no reason
Entering Combat Mode is a call for AC startup, anon kun.
incorrect
suits are operable while out of combat mod3
The coral is fuckin dangerous, Ayre has even told you that the coral has a habit of taking human consciousness.
>"Coral isn't as evil as he thinks it is."
just because ayre is happy does not mean ending 3 was good.
you dont understand the story if you think it's a good ending entirely
What’s so bad about the True Ending?
You'll get it when you grow up.
Deflecting, lmao.
It's fine to deflect a samefag that keeps trying to restart the conversation when they don't get the answer they like.
>influenced Dolmayan
>influenced 621
>influenced the RLF
>influenced the worms
>Influenced every c-weapon capable of using coral
>influenced allmind into doing a release
Everyone was influenced. I'm sure 100% of it was a coincidence and I'm looking too deeply into it though. I'm sure.
you are actually braindead as proven several times in this thread.
dolmayan and the RLF are not doing any progress for whatever you think coral wants humanity to do, 621 does whatever the fuck he wants, the worms? they literally just explode, and what the fuck do you think C-weapons are fueled by?
allmind into doing a release
oh my god, allmind wants to do a release on its terms as it saw potential in it.
Please stop replying to me with your gayry.
I accept your concession.
>allmind wants to do a release on its terms as it saw potential in it.
Yep, everyone comes to this conclusion once Coral starts gathering. Kind of interesting when you notice the pattern.
The stun gun build will make zimzam players ragequit if you are good with it.
Anon you're only allowed to discuss the plot if it reinforces his view, anything else is roleplaying or waifufagging.
we just don't know
people who think coral is controlling humanity needs to get their heads checked
We'll probably find out if there's a followup sequel
>fight Ayre on the Arena
>afterwards she says she caught a glimpse of what humanity was all about
>basically finding better ways to kill each other
>AIE ending
>all the ACs wake up
>"Combat mode engaged"
it's basically triggering pointless, constant warfare for no reason at all
>it's basically triggering pointless, constant warfare for no reason at all
uhhhh based?
humanity goes extinct and the world becomes a parody of natural selection
im the person you replied to
it's heavily stated coral basically takes over human conscious
to say it's entirely good is wrong
it's basically a we don't know, but "Alea iacta est" "the die has been cast" "crossed the rubicon" situation. hence the name of the ending.
we don't know if it's good, we know something has started and changed
liberator and fires of raven are basically just "pushing things back" we don't know if the fires worked truly. or if the real success in liberator will happen.
alea iacta est ending is "we did something, now we see" not good. but potentially not bad either
It's a solidly neutral end. Liberator is the more optimistic end, Fires if the pessimist end.
i think im so filtered im actually considering using this
Ask yourself what would be the point? Like at what point are you just turning the game into a cutscene? May as well grab a snack and watch a long play on youtube.
Don't give up. You can push through, and you'll find a much more entertaining game on the other side.
Pay attention to weapon stats when building your machine. Don't just pick blue=good or whatever looks cool. Find a build that works for your playstyle, and for me it's dual gattling guns and dual stun needles.
> for me it's dual gattling guns and dual stun needles.
Might as well just use trainer lmao
>Being so bad at pew pew that you have to cheat
Why even bother playing?
Yeah no, no they got past Balteus without learning anything
Why were you surprised.
>walter needs to be re-educated to fight you
>spends the entire fight wishing you a better future before realising what's happening and lays his gun down to die, wishing you the best
>ayre turns on you the instant you refuse to murder people who just saved you
>jumps into her space cannon and backup AC (could have helped you like this at any time btw) and fights to the death while trying to gaslight you into dropping your guard
She doesn't matter though. Your logic assumes that anyone cares about coral when they don't. It is fuel for robots and lasers.
The coral waifuism ruins literally every thread. It is the worst roleplaying ever.
The edgelords ruin every thread, you mean
You'll get it when you are older.
Sorry anon, but Humanity is just an abstract umbrella term, a cop-out, for a bunch of positive traits. It isn't humanity which creates those traits, it is the positive traits which create humanity. We keep everything that is worth preserving but add more on top of it. Why is that a bad thing? Why do you hate progress?
>Progress
Transhumanist no longer try to hide their hatred for humanity do you?
>Humanity evolves alongside coral to be better
>this is somehow a bad thing
>???
You’re arguing with a Luddite or Facebook boomer. Their vision of the future is the same misery and tedious existence, forever. That’s basically hell, when you think about it: permanent stagnation with no advancement or improvement, where things are always bad and never get better because they’re too risk adverse to ever man up and take a calculated risk
Siding with coral is the right choice, destroying it just means more permanent corporate warfare, forever, out of sheer cowardice masked as “valid concern”
These people will never achieve anything in their lives, their core philosophy prevents it
You should interface your biological computer with an icepick. It’s he like cool augments from cyberpunk!
Is there no middle ground between "stagnation" and "gimme those alien brainworms YOLO"
In this situation, no. Letting the corpos do as they please is condemning humanity to hell. Coral is an extreme risk, but it’s worth it to burn the system down and give people a chance to build something new.
Imagine being lorded over by fucking Amazon and have zero privacy after the great reset, and you get a chance to side with some ayyliens, then some fag tells you that you’re a traitor to humanity for destroying the new world order
>In this situation, no. Letting the Batarians do as they please is condemning humanity to hell. Indoctrination is an extreme risk, but it’s worth it to burn the system down and give people a chance to build something new.
In this situation, no. Letting the Brotherhood do as they please is condemning humanity to hell. Synth replacement is an extreme risk, but it’s worth it to burn the system down and give people a chance to build something new.
So true, sister! We need to progress to-
>gets obliterated because a coral wave had a bad day and hacked into the planet’s orbital defense cannons and shot up the surface
The corporations are capable of doing that. Hell, a single merc is capable of doing that. Igauzu hijacked the HUMANITY MIND CONTROL master plan because he was butthurt about losing,
I just realized that Iguazu is like inverse Rusty
>I CAN'T STOP
What happens to Rusty on the true ending path anyways?
rusty dies in every ending, either to you, walter or allmind
You can speculate he's dead like everyone else. In pre release world state at least.
>destroying it just means more permanent corporate warfare
So how exactly does letting coral spread, handing effectively infinite coral to corporations do anything to stop their warfare?
Any coralschizos want to walk me through this one since I've seen more than one of you say it
Well you see anon giving unlimited coral to the corps is a good thing because uh Ayre ending is the good ending because she said so.
Ayre's ending is giving unlimited coral to the native Rubiconians, actually.
You don't even understand your own ending
Liberationfags are embarrassing
They are scum. They don’t even bring up the children living on Rubicon that we obliterate (which would help their position on this discussion) because the thought doesn’t even cross their minds. They hate humanity and only care about what happens to the coral people, full stop.
Hard no. It shows that coral will be abided and the game shows you that when you abide coral it worms it's way into you and you will do a release for it eventually or it will powder keg like last time.
It is thematic that most coral stuff is worms and spiders anon. Things that crawl into the deep recesses to thrive. Hint hint.
They can't, it's just something they throw out now and then. Pretty sure the diehard coral simps in these threads haven't even finished a single playthrough
How did you get that? I'm celebrating humanity without claiming that it is the perfect end-goal, because that idea is antithetical to itself. You don't get to ignore progress in order to preserve humanity, because to progress is one of the most noble parts of humanity. It'd be like cutting off your legs so that you can participate in the paralympics.
>erm like uh what even is humanity maaan
have a nice day you scum of the earth
It's not even an edgy ending, it's treated as a grim method but realistically the only way to solve the coral problem if you see it as a threat (if you've been paying attention by that point, you should). Burning a backwater system to spare the rest of human space
Look at 4A's genocide if you want an edgy ending since that really is just mass murder for shits and giggles
Anon, coralfags are secondaries that hopped onto this series in VI, they have no reference to any previous games.
Her species are trying to parasitise my species, the fact you need to go that far to get her out your brain shows that Fires of Raven is the correct ending
She literally fucking kills a bunch of people over what is the equivalent of bacteria.
Oh you mean the character that is conflicted the entire fight and sadly says
>...you were the only one.
if she kills you (she would have no reason to gaslight you when you are dead, retard) and still believes in you if you kill her? The one that waited until the very last second to do anything and then choose to fire a warning shot first despite her entire species and all human life in the star system being at stake? The wave form energy being that could've quite literally sat back being untouchable energy and light up the Xylem with the gigantic satellite laser you wouldn't have been able to destroy with your tiny AC in time but came down to fight you by possessing an institute machine, thus making herself mortal and giving you this chance in the first place? That one?
It's actually amazing how far shitposters go to misrepresent Ayre because they're about muh waifufags.
That's a pretty good point that I hadn't considered before, actually. She totally could have just blasted the Xylem out of the sky without ever fighting 621, couldn't she?
Ayre basically throws the fight.
Walter and Ayre are 100% unambiguously good people. Their plans are up for debate what's right or wrong but trying to pain either as a bad person is ridiculous.
>thread ruined by waifu pandering again
You again, deja vu
If you play the game in Japanese, I'm pretty sure his VA is Gendo from Evangelion (though I could be wrong) and it has this level of distant coldness that the dub doesn't have. You get this vibe that he is keeping you at arms length to stop himself from getting attached, but there are moments where he reveals his true feelings for you.
>If you play the game in Japanese
LMAO
>Play Japanese game
>Listen to atrocious commiefornian voice acting
For what purpose?
I'm just laughing at you anon.
>From software games
>Having commiefornian VA
Just accept your defeat
>it has this level of distant coldness that the dub doesn't have
That's how the dub performance is played as well.
It's not the same level of distant, I have played both languages.
bro i just quit game .the combat is too fast for me
>V.8 Will celebrate your death and get promoted
>V.7 Worth about 70k
>V.6 is a corporate bootlicker

>V.2 DOUBLE moron

>G4 probably an excon who failed to take the wall with 80% of a you didn't beat the game build
>G3 Actual excon with less loyalty than a independent merc
>G2 competing as the least relevant pilot with the hidden battlelog ACs
>G1 Best character in the game
Pretty sure 621 can only hear Ayre because he already had coral inside him
I'm assuming their "reeducation" for Walter was some twisted version of early gen augmentation
Walter was auged up during re-education so he could pilot an AC.
He can see Ayre because he has coral in his noggin now.
ok here's my take
Only certain augments pass to be fused with Coral entities as exposed by the NG++
so during that time augments advanced and they forced a compatible subject to sync with coral (Walter)
any entity that gets Coral up in their guts and doesn't die from poisoning has their DNA altered because of parasitic symbiosis, therefore able to see all coral
Walter can't hear Arye, but can see the aura emanating off 621
>parasitic symbiosis
anon...
Then what the fuck would you call sentient gas that fucks with your vision and talks to you
He explains that he was loosely related to the original events and just knowing about what it was convinced him to dedicate his life to making sure it never happens. He knows what the coral really is and what it really plans to do that is why he dedicated his whole life to stopping it.
His dad was the instigator of original Fires of Ibis incident. This is all a big cope for him, which is why he's happy to see 621 find his own happiness, because it's a surrogate for his own failed father/son dynamic.
>his father
He isn’t Nagai’s kid. Reread the log slowly this time.
His dad is Nagai's assistant who went completely crazy.
>His dad was the instigator of original Fires of Ibis incident
Dr. Nagai started the Fires of Ibis. Walter's dad is Assistant 1.
Dumbass. His dad was the one who went mad and invented coral augmentation, not the one who set off the Fires of Ibis.
That's what I said, dumbass. This is all him settling the broken relationship with his own dad.
Sounds like that Santa Klaus is an advanced AI, probably some Allmind precursor.
Man, they really gutted the shit out of Balteus. Like night and day difference.
can you make a truce with iguana in the prevent hacking mission or is he going to always kill you every time?
Iguazu hates you to death literally for no reason, you can't reason with him.
I wouldn't call him "good," he has a completely callous disregard for human life and dubious morals. He just happens to care for 621 a little.
Ayre is the only one that seems to care about people and collateral damage.
What are you talking about? The symbiosis she wants is exactly that, a shared existence with humanity. She's also the only one in the game who ever shows any concern about human life, where in the Liberator ending she makes sure that Xylem crashes harmlessly into the ocean and avoids collateral damage. Whereas Walter and Carala are completely fine with burning the star system out and causing millions upon millions of innocent deaths.
>and causing millions upon millions of innocent deaths.
Is there even anyone in the system besides a handful of corpos and the PCA?
Yes, did you forget that the Wall was a city controlled by the RLF? There's all the locals that survived the Fires of Ibis and got trapped by the PCA, on the surface and in the Grids. Rubicon isn't a dead planet, there's still people, industry, societies.
I said the system not the planet
The system includes the planet.
Your ass includes my dick, no one asked you
Rubicon's a backwater shithole populated by druggies and coral cultists but it IS populated
Obviously sacrificing it for the greater good is a no brainer but there will be a lot of death
Can't the RLF just dismantle the Vascular Plant in their ending and cut off the flow of Coral to space?
They could but they won't. That ending shows you the coral still wins by prolonging it's destruction. What happened to the worms will happen to the people and the cycle will arise again. They will attempt another coral release in the future.
Even the fires ending implies this is just another fires event and it will come back.
It is a thing. parasitic symbiotic organisms present the benefits of symbiosis while actually having the characteristics of parasitism. Cacti spread their seeds like this.
The RLF are religious zealots that worship coral. Why would they do that?
Are we the bad guys? i've done like 6 missions and every single one has some guy crying into his comms as his AC gets blown into smithereens.
Last mission I was just collecting datalogs when some girl tried killing me for killing her friends in the last mission and I killed her too...
It's just a job, 621. All of it.
It's just a job, anon. All of it.
They would exterminate humanity if given the choice because they hate themselves.
what in the fuck are you on about, the black hole was a 1 time thing
Bro, Coral Release is their solution to the Fires of Ibis, by sending themselves to other parts of the Galaxy and limiting themselves to physical AC bodies they averted the situation where their convergence creates Giga explosions. It's like the ending to Eureka Seven where the coral uses the rip in space time to send half of it elsewhere so it won't blow up the Earth.
again, it only creates giga explosions through the efforts of man
the coral would have never ignited if it was never gathered in such a dense area and the black hole would have never happened if allmind hadn't of agitated its resonation
>the coral would have never ignited if it was never gathered in such a dense area
uh, but you literally discover quite early in the game that coral literally forms flocks by itself.
where was the Coral before the Fires of Ibis?
the giant collection plant in Institute City where Nagai was in charge
Doesn't look like a black hole to me. And besides, black holes are everywhere already, didn't need coral to do that.
I know the Redguns are all named after bodies of water, and the RLF characters are obviously a hand, but what's the theme with the Vespers? Am I just a retard?
Poets.
I'd say it's less strictly poets and more intellectuals/artists. I highly doubt some Japs named characters after an obscure 18th century Irish actor or a Confederate poet. O'Keefe is also clearly Georgia O'Keefe.
>Nier automata
>Freud - Analysis of Poetry
>Snail - "The Snail" by William Cowper - "I am a kind of human snail, locked in and condemned by my own nature."
>O'Keefe - John O'Keefe
>Rusty - maybe Rusty Morrison but could be about hounds instead
>Hawkins - William Stewart Hawkins - war poet
>Maeterlinck - Maurice maeterlinck
>Swinburne - Algernon Swinburne
>Pater - Walter Pater
I believe Snail is actually/also a reference to Salvador Dali calling Freud's skull and brain a snail.
Freud is the muscle of the Vespers while Snail is is the brains.
Snail has lines where he says "I AM Arquebus."
He is The Snail from the poem, trapped and condemned by his condition. Your angle works too though and there are probably links like yours with them, that is why I don't know if the Rusty link is to Rusty Morrison or just hounds in general. Rusty's emblem changing to be unmuzzled is more important and thematic than anything Morrison wrote.
Rusty's name doesn't fit because he isn't really a Vesper. Nobody knows who the fuck Rusty Morrison is.
>Nobody knows who the fuck Rusty Morrison is.
And yet his body of work perfectly encapsulates what rusty is.

Rusty Morrison is a woman. You can see an elephant in a cloud or Jesus in burnt toast too.
You are seething lol.
One of the poems is
>Some Days Everyone Is Well Concealed
while Rusty is the double agent of the game. Stop coping and move on with your life loser. A vesper is a religious affirmation in song, it makes sense for the individual vespers to be named after poets or poems discussing grand themes.
>freud
>they didn't name him after the man himself but because his analysis of poetry
>snail
>they didn't name him that as a reference to Dali's comment about Freud's brain but instead they picked some Anglo poet who wrote an obscure poem entitled the snail
Anyway the glaring problem that you keep ignoring is the obvious Georgia O'Keefe reference which doesn't fit your little mold. Maybe Rusty is named after some literal who poet. Maybe he isn't. Maybe you googled "Rusty" "poet" and have been trying to fit your rubric onto the result Google spit out at you.
hot arena combat sex with Ayre
I find it weird that people are saying that Coral is all good and great when you have to look no further than Iguazu to see proof that Coral can drive someone insane. He had a voice in his head just like you did, but unlike you his voice was akin to fucking paranoid schizophrenia. So either the chance that something good will happen when you make "contact" is very slim, or some coral "entities" are in fact evil.
He didn't have a voice in his head.
he was hearing Ayre talk to you when he was in the vicinity because he's a fellow fourth gen that was augmented with Coral but since she was synced to your brianwaves all he hears is ringing in his ears
he gets that even when Ayre isn't talking though
where's the proof bro.
NG++ doesn't show him as a compatible augmented human
Only you, Father, and some other character I forgot.
>some other character I forgot
Sulla, the first gen that attacks you at the Watchpoint and was ALLMIND's candidate to make Contact with Ayre
all spoilers btw
If you aren't 100% compatible then you never hear the voice clearly, just noise, very much like a schizo, which drives any augmented pilot who never makes full contact insane eventually.
the father log spells out that the father can only communicate with his coral contact when he doses, otherwise it's just noise like iguazu hears, so he isn't 100% compatible either.
this is one of the main plot devices driving the progression of no longer using coral in augmentation.
walter and carla refer to a friend in multiple instances, this is likely themselves in third person in the context of the secret organization called overseer, which rad is just a cover for
walter does see ayre at the end, but this is only after he's been augmented and brainwashed, his father invented coral augmentation so if anything he may have suspected this to be the case the entire time but would have never known for sure until this moment
Do you think 621 was just a debtfag that Walter bought and forced Gen 4 on or was he augmented during his father's years and just put on ice until his turn came
In the cinematic trailer we see 621 likely after he was released from cryogenic storage, so he was likely tucked away asleep for decades.
I believe he was in cryo either way but I'm just wondering when exactly he was nabbed. Could've been at any point in the 50 years since the Fires of Ibis but could have also been beforehand. Sulla being C1-249 is what made me think about it.
Doubt there's actually an answer though
i think it's left ambiguous on purpose in typical fromsoft fashion, the name raven is a nod to prior games.
the trailer points to cut content or an altered/omitted starting sequence
620 seems to survive but barely, could that be 621? no idea
also worth mentioning that Rusty "knows who you really are," implying perhaps you've been to Rubicon before or perhaps just that you aren't the real Raven, but Walter or Rusty never explains what that means
bro how retarded are you, it just means rusty knows you are a true fighter and very good pilot
Not him but you're the idiot.
Not only is the whole point of the first chapter that you're an unauthorized merc on the planet, but people who know that you are not the real "raven" question your identity constantly, and there's literally not a single reason at all to call that a contingency otherwise.
The even bigger question is how the fuck was Walter not aware of who the "ravens" are.
>fromdrone reading too much into things

You don't need child bearing hips if you're an AI... but you can have them.
Feelings compromised, leaving the thread.
>hanging train tracks with no exit on either end that clip into walls and are clearly there only for decoration.
my immersion is ruined. this would only make sense in the BLAME universe where builder robots have gone mad and make nonsensical structures.
Looking at the mythical Rubiconian Auschwitz anon. Don't shine a blacklight on that wall.
The RRI built all that shit
They were not known for their civil engineering talents or sensible forward thinking
In the fog city at the farther edge of the map in the corner you see giant city blocks resting directly on roads. Lmao. The simulation is fucked, ALLMIND sucks.
>guys we're out of support beams!
>It's ok, we have a shitload of train tracks
Hogwarts entrance
Was the coral’s red color just an excuse to make the reference to “the scarlet ibis”
If so, is 621 the retarded little brother who gets lost and dies, or the older brother whose selfishness is responsible for it? I’m sure it’s a metaphor for the different endings and your part in them
Betray Carla
Or she'll crash the ship with no survivors
Has to be done Ayre you've been with me the whole time you know why we are doing this.
Ayre wants you to make your choice
As long as that choice allows her species to spread across the stars and dominate yours
how is coral going to dominate humans
Play the game
>what is Contact?
It influenced the Institute into doing a Coral Release and Ayre influenced you to do one too. It is what Coral does as a matter of course. It is it's life cycle.
>It influenced the Institute into doing a Coral Release
RRI did exactly what coral didn't want them to do and wiped out 99% of them in the process
A singlular person went rogue at the very last moment - Walter's father. The rest of teh RRI was a cult doing the bidding of Coral to produce a Release intentionally.
It's SMT dude, the Coral wants to be born into our reality and a Release is how it happens.
>Walter's father
That wasn't Walter's father. Dr Nagai lit the Fires of Ibis. Walter's dad was one of his assistants.
Same basic premise. The Institute was intentionally going to perform a release. When you mess with Coral your society eventually creates a coral release but I'm sure it is truly symbiotic and not nefarious in any way.
Bloodborne showed me that the outer gods really did want to help us once they broke into our reality.
>The Institute was intentionally going to perform a release.
>Ayre influenced you to do one too
Ayresimps don't realise she's playing them like a fiddle from their first meeting
It's schizo headcanon. Don't worry about it. You will learn his pattern soon.
Why did All-Mind choose Iguazu of all pilots? Why not someone halfway competent like Rusty or someone fun like Michigan? Bitch has no taste.
Read briefings bro. ALLMIND show you why.
they don't hear coral at all
the better question is why allmind sticks with Iguazu after we proved multiple times that we are a better choice than this jobber loser
unless i didn't understand the ending at all she basically tries to stop us from doing what she wanted to do to begin with, like the only difference is the one who started the coral release
Combat mode with Ayre!
I want to go to Mechavalhalla
Therefore I choose Ending 3
Man...I like all the characters, even the assholes like Snail and Iguazu, why can't we all get along?
Ideological differences
Violence is inescapable
War is Life
Peace is Death
so what's bad about coral spreading?
humans trying to harness its power again only to accidentally blow up the galaxy?
>The potential of having a nagging wife living inside your head for the rest of your life.
Fuck that, burn it all.
it's just space oil and the dosers are aborigines who huff petrol
What I'm getting from this thread is that coralsimps would defend maneating fauna in and around population centres because it's not their fault humans exist here
those bears dindu nuffin
>frogmoron is that retard that will go on wildlife genocide only because le hecking humanerinos need to live there
The real question is that no matter how you look at it, unless they're SPECIAL augmented humans like 621, Father, and Sulla,
how exactly is the Coral going to "help" humanity when the only examples of coexistence without augmentation we have are Schizo Iggy, and mindfucked Walter?
Walter said some augmented humans heard voices, whatever happened to them? Iggy was the only one who got fucking weird but never exposed to Coral, but hinted at it.
>the only examples of coexistence without augmentation we have are Schizo Iggy, and mindfucked Walter?
those are auggies though
typo, I meant special auggies
Even then, what effect on humans without augmentation? No symbiosis since they're not jacked up with aux ports?
Using the AC's to build things? I'm starting to change my mind and wanting to burn the coral.
I just remembered for instance at the end of NG++ ENTERING COMBAT MODE
>mindfucked Walter
huh
Finish ng+.
He's aug like anon said.
>DUDE JUST LET THE ROCKS LIVE INSIDE YOUR HEAD FOREVER THEY'RE HECKIN BENEVOLENT CHUD!!!!!
Stop being afraid of the future
what is wrong with space gasoline living in your head rent free when it speaks in a cute voice and does useful stuff for you?
uhm... uhm cute voice in your head... is bad... because stuff???
Literally no downside but companionship. Some people just want to be bitter
>NOOO YOU CAN'T HAVE A CUTE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD THAT WHISPERS ENCOURAGEMENT AND HELPS YOU! WE HAVE TO GENOCIDE HER AND HER KIND BECAUSE... WE JUST HAVE TO, OKAY, CHUD?!
>t. trannies and fems when they encounter something that isn't about them and makes guys happy without bothering anyone
He wants to burn the Coral even so he knows it's sentient and doesn't solve the problem but just prolongs it for another 50 years.

I WON'T STOP
I'LL CHASE CLOUDS FROM OVER RUBICON
ONLY I CAN FLY HIGH ENOUGH
For me, It's Dafeng Nyan-Nyan
Someone said Snail is in the Arquebus mascot while Michigan is in the Balam one
Also Snail has a smol plushie of that mascot for stressful situations
I honestly wonder why the normal boost is an optional toggle. Why would you ever want to have it off?
in the end the true ending is what occurred and the previous two runs are ALLMIND simulations so Ayre haters can rest that the Coral Release happened
yeah no I'm switching sides here
burning the coral is the only way out of this. the entirety of life wiped by sentient diesel controlling robots across the universe
or setting fire to a localized part of a galaxy saving other star systems in the process
sorry, 1st ending makes the most sense because Coral inhibits your mind to populate itself, a basic biological function, which deep space removes its limiter to do so.
The mechs in this game dont look good and most of the parts are very samey. The only real distinction is your leg type
>want to make coral build
>back options are giga-cancer missles or shield(cringe)
It's not fair
But the shield generates a smol dome for 360 degree protection
If you're using a shield in pvp you hate yourself and the game already there's no real reason to fight you
Just put more main hand weapons on your back then
But coral rifles are shit
>special boss weapon unlocks that require beating the game 3 times to use
>are mediocre as fuck
What were they thinking? FS should have gone the Project Wingman route and just made the final boss unlocks completely ridiculous and just lock them out of use in pvp.
If by good you mean willing to commit mass genocide for what he considers the greater good, sure. But Fires of Raven is definitely meant as the 'bad end'.
>haha yeah, the sentient gasoline spreading all across the universe, killing people who can't take it and changing the people who can, resulting in infinite battlefield until only one is left standing is a good thing
Coral dosing, not even once.
>killing people who can't take it and changing the people who can, resulting in infinite battlefield until only one is left standing is a good thing
what?
The whole setting is already an endless battlefield between megacorps and mercenaries, the coral wouldn't change a thing tbh
At minimum it would be like dousing those battlefields in gasoline so enjoy your planet going up in flames when corp bullshit starts up in the system next door
>Rubicon Research Institute was actually mind controlled by Coral and only Nagai broke free

What the fuck did she mean by this?
This entire thread is Dosers arguing with the Overseers
No it's people that want to discuss the game and people roleplaying because waifushit ruined their brains are ruining it.
Again.
You cannot discuss the lore if even a single ayre gay is here. They will not allow it and they will gaslight you endlessly.
You’re crazy anon, you sound like an Overseer to me
Oh please
We're both as bad as each other, quit trying to virtue signal
One side is much worse than the other simply because 1 side is being disingenuous in design to facilitate roleplaying.
It being waifu gayry only makes it worse. You fags act like vtubers when people are trying to discuss a war story. It is really uncouth.
Sorry, who is being disingenuous again?
Actually, you might just be genuinely lacking in self awareness.
>Sorry, who is being disingenuous again?
The people roleplaying as ayre fangirls.
so you are just not allowed to have an opinion that coral just might not be evil? or else you're just a waifufag?
cool
I’m not roleplaying. I AM an Ayre fanboy. And you CANT stop me
>"duscuss the lore"
>So to discuss the lore, we all agree that Walter was 100% correct and Coral is an evil space parasite that wants to corrupt the universe, especially Ayre who is pure evil and using you to do so?
>Actually I don't think that's necessarily...
>OMG FUCKING AYRE SIMPS WE CAN NEVER DISCUSS THE LORE WITH YOU AROUND FSSSSSSSHHHHH
Yeah it really does feel like this anon is some angry chud/woman seething that many guys like having a tulpa waifu. Seen it with threads for other games too
You can argue the side of the coral without roleplaying as a loser incel though.
You people are the type of fans Anno talked about. You drag everything down to chigyu-tier embarrassment.
>CORAL BAD
>Well this Coral talks and doesn't seem bad?
>OMG FUCKING WAIFU gayS SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DISCUSS THE LORE
It is not only disingenuous, it is also intensely hypocritical
>Well this Coral talks and doesn't seem bad?
You got fooled, dummy
Many such cases
They'll be defending coral right up until it hijacks their technology and decides humanity's in the way
>b-but why would it do that coral is our friend!
Absolute simps
Coral both literally and metaphorically represents potential, and you're scared of it just like the bitch ass Observers who caused all the problems on Rubicon in the first place.
exactly
the true solution to the problem would be to leave coral the fuck alone/scare humanity into leave it the fuck alone like walters plan.
>muh potential
Potential to fuck you up on a order of magnitude greater than the most powerful nuclear explosion all of humanity's progress can generate. Yay.
You have the self-preservation drive of a potato, you're one of those people who in a mass casualty event just pull out their phone and stand around
But there isn't going to be any humanity
There also isn't going to be any coral
We're fusing the two together to create a superior race from the best elements of both
Inferior relics of the past are irrelevant and should be cleared from the path
NOOO NOOOO, EAT YOUR GOYSLOP, DRINK YOUR COFFEE FLAVORED SLUDGE!!! BEING A HUMAN IS THE ONLY THING THAT'S REAL!
Wow look at this fag who doesn’t want to live in his pod and fight for Walmart? Why do you hate humanity??? Are you an incel?
>ok now you're just a dumbass trapped in a mech
>wanna sctarch your balls? You can't do that, you'll damage the putter layer and your crotch is going to rust.
>what's that? Who's going to do maintenance to your body? Huuuuuuh, well you got at least 50 years of Duracell coral power as we saw with the institute wheels. After that huh, I guess if your body stop moving at least you can rest easy knowing you trapped humanity to an existence of misery in by metal shell with no reproductive capabilities loooool
I think it's more likely that Walter is wrong than Ayre is a liar.
>and nothing ayre says should affect you in any regard toward the coral
but what if I hurt her feelings
That's coral roastie tactics
Ayre doesn't have human feelings, it's mimicing them and affecting a female voice to make you easier to manipulate
Remember, coral is space aids that doubles as fuel, it's not people
>it's not sentient
>except that it's sentient
ok
>sentient = people
Got some bad news for you coralschizo
You have a bug mindset.
Ayre just ask you for things like everyone in this fucking game does. That make humans also not people or what?
>Yeah it really does feel like this anon is some angry chud/woman seething that many guys like having a tulpa waifu. Seen it with threads for other games too
It's crazy if you think about it from the perspective of appealing female characters in games, because with this we are literally down to disembodied voices saying nice things and even that is apparently still too much to ask.
Will Armored Core take over Sekiro's spot on the Fromsoft list of games that will get occasional sequels?
>Alien parasite asks me to ignore everything I've seen and read of the coral and just trust her plan
>This plan begins with murdering the person who just hotdropped into a well defended gulag to extract me
>This plan ends with the parasite saying they don't actually have a plan beyond helping their own species but hopefully I didn't just doom humanity haha
Serves him right, he trusted the coral
>This plan begins with murdering the person who just hotdropped into a well defended gulag to extract me
>well defended gulag
moron it's the same city you were killing ibis in, just somewhat later after you crawled into a sewer and city got overrun with arquebus
It's supposed to be outside a re-education camp and they're mentioned well before Ibis, that vesper you can spare gets sent to one a couple of chapters prior
>betrays everybody for the voice in your head
Oh man how did I get the bad ending
You're right but think of the coralpussy.
>Yeah no matter what's the plan for humanity anyway I'm not backstabbing Carla and murdering Chatty.
I can. They keep calling me tourist and use me as a weapon. Fuck them, fuck Walter, and fuck everyone that isn't Rusty and Ayre.
>were only defending themselves when you burst in their base destroying the entirety of Carla's defenses and goons
>still she comes and saves your ass when you're being tracked by multiple arquebus death squads
>willing to sacrifice themselves to secure humanity's future and stop C*ral crap to multiply
Chatty and Carla are the main characters. Fuck Rubicon. Sorry Rusty but you're dumb as fuck go back to huffing Coral with father dolmgay.
>were only defending themselves when you burst in their base destroying the entirety of Carla's defenses and goons
>Hey, I can lead you to your objective 🙂
>Lmao no, actually just fucking die.
>Okay, I will help you, but you owe me big time.
No, I fucking don't, you retarded bitch. You tried to kill me several times and then act as my friend. Fucking die alongside your pet AI.
>destroys someone's door with a shotgun and kills all his friends while converging to his position
>is surprised when the owner of the house laid traps to stop him
Ayrefags, never again...
>kills all his friends while converging to his position
Pretty sure I mostly killed drones and some retard with an ironic nickname. Also
>Propose to stop the bloodshed
>Manipulates you and tries to kill you
>Plan fails
>Lmao how about we becomes friends now?
I don't even need Ayre to tell me anything. I wanted to kill Carla from the moment I met her.
Inceloid moment. The cleaner wasn't even a threat, it's the easiest boss in the game and she probably lead you to it to see if you're worth shit. You're not getting the friendship of the leader of the cool dosers with teammates as memorable as mad stomp without going through some struggle.
>The cleaner wasn't even a threat, it's the easiest boss in the game and she probably lead you to it to see if you're worth shit.
Not the point, but okay.
>You're not getting the friendship of the leader of the cool dosers with teammates as memorable as mad stomp without going through some struggle.
Good. I never wanted her friendship, since in the end it amounts to nothing.
>B-But she saves you!
Do you even know why? Because you're valuable asset.
Ok loser. Chatty and Carla have millions of missiles anyway so I don't know why I'm having some argument when we can just nuke you.
Sorry, I already killed them and ruined their plans.
>I mostly killed drones
Most MTs are piloted by people.
621 is a weapon. It's literally all he's good for.
621 is a girl
ayre is trans
walter is ace
michigan is a bear
carla is lesbian
and iguazu is a bottom!!
cope!!
Did you feel good posting that?
In the end, Rusty was the true hero of AC6, and the fact that he gets capped in all three endings upsets me.
You don’t know for sure. Offscreen deaths are not deaths
Apparently you can't because people have tried and you just screech about them being loser incels. You really just come across as a mad roastie/chud.
Ayre feels like a meta comentary on waifufags
Nah that was the Plain Doll.
I think HFY autism is just as bad as waifugayry
It's also fucking stupid in the Armored Core universes where humanity sucks and is puppeteered by AIs anyway.
Never played AC and after reading this thread I think letting some weird alien parasite live in my head still seems like a bad decision
>I think letting some weird alien parasite live in my head still seems like a bad decision
The neat part is that you don't actually get a choice in the matter. The coral will inevitably invade you and everybody else unless you take the good route and burn it
99% of all posts are just headcanons feat VaatiVidya. Like with Elden Ring and Ranni. Cute girls and cute particle waves makes trannies seethe.
I love alphonse so fucking much
Dunno man it comes with some pretty good positives too
>Can control technology for you
>Can look up information for you
>Permanently available to bounce ideas and considerations off
Kinda like having an AI companion. You can't tell me you never wanted to live in one of them robot houses where you can just ask the house to turn on the TV and find something you'll enjoy watching
So is "Coral was controlling the RRI" the new schizo theory after "Arye is ALLMIND"?
They'll never piece it together without a data log stating it outright.
this is AC, humans will always want to abuse the strange energy resource.
Dosers just smoke it. Worms just eat it. Coral finds a way in.
Ayre is my friend, so I side with her. Quite shrimple.
I don’t mind the brain voice because it’s nice to me and helps me 🙂
I wish they implied some gravity or time properties to Coral so the NG+ loops made canonical sense
especially the last loop into dialogue after NG++
Honest Brute still goes
>slow
>slow
>quick quick
>slow
in the JP dub too kek
I got Honest Brute caught in some of the scenery last time I replayed that stage, he couldn't get out from under a broken crane
Bros, I want two light weapons to accommodate heavy stun needles. Is the laser handgun the only solution?
Handguns are decent, they do pretty high stagger to help you get direct hits with the stun needles.
Did everyone get revived in the 3rd ending? Does Rusty die in that ending? Was Walter really mad at 612 in that ending? He seemed happy in the liberation ending.
Everybody dies in the 3rd ending
So how is everyone standing up? I recognized almost all of those ACs.
Their minds have been imprinted into the Coral and they are now all robots.
so Walter just had an old Institute suit sitting in storage for his own personal use?
The game literally says Arquebus found a bunch of institute tech while you were sleeping.
in the Alea Iecta Est ending he has the same suit
the fact that he can pilot a mech just fine but is sending you to do his dirty work means he's a gay and that's a fact
>All generals and politicians are gays
B-basedo!
>I like how Iguazu is a deconstruction of the typical anime rival.
Huh? He's reference to mecha anime rival.
>deconstruction
Bro mecha anime has had that exact character countless times
That's still pretty typical. You just described Char Aznable there.
>The RRI wouldn't have made the specific anti coral collapse AC if they weren't intentionally planning a coral release.
This fucking guy. Collapse = release LMAO
The laser funnels coral into the station so the release won't become a collapse.
You really have a small brain.
Ibis absorb coral and walter's gun releases coral. Together with the vascular station they can control the contractions of the coral birth blackhole.
They were trying to control the coral like allmind.
COLLAPSE ISNT RELEASE YOU STUPID FUCK, AYRE AND 621 ARE THE TRIGGER
What is collapse and why it was feared.
This patch is godsend
Now I dont need to hurt my fingers with handgun
they should add a horde mode so we can enjoy our ACs after the campaign
maybe something like the tower mode in devil may cry
I would like it if NG+++ doubled the amount of MTs in every mission.
I want to feel as threatened by them as I do during boss fights.
walter dies happily in the liberation ending so it's the good ending
So if there's ever a DLC that's set after the events of the main story, which ending should it follow? Alea Lacta Est?
Liberation is the canon ending.
We'll see. I dunno if AC6X is gonna end up being a prequel or a sequel though. They did leave all that stuff with Branch unanswered, after all.
Then it wouldn't be a sequel you stupid cunt.
Can I get a quick rundown of the setting and what exactly are you and your goals in these games besides blowing shit up?
In AC6 it is because they were being influenced by Coral. You learn Coral does that naturally when exposed to it. RRI were a coral yes! institution.
no it doesn't you massive retard
>you should obviously just delay the inevitable for 50 more years and spread even more misery instead of embracing the new world on your own terms together with the only person you formed an actual connection with
I'd say we had an actual connection with Walter, Rusty, and Carla, too. I prefer the 3rd ending, but I'm just playing devil's advocate here.
You fucking everything up igniting the coral in the observer's ending even stop the coral? Everything still looks fucked up at the end.
There'll still be odd bits of coral around the galaxy since it's used in augmentation but it should be such small amounts that it won't be able to converge
nah coral will be back, but humanity will be too spooked to attempt to use it as a energy source again.
this unironically might be better for coral as they're going to be left alone and be able to build themselves up naturally again and live in peace forevermore.
I don't care what anyone says. I trust my coral wife.
The more I see people post anime art about Ayre, the more I want to eradicate all of the Coral
You'll have to go through me first.
Agreed. I prefer her in her natural state.
Which ending lets me kill more people with my AC? Fuck all this moralfagging, I just want to pilot ACs
So is everyone doing the retarded HFY chest thumping just pretending to be low empathy, low IQ subhumans or...?
No. Please stop the roleplaying and let people talk about the story.
>disagreeing with you is roleplay
What the hell is this cope.
Not genociding the Coral isn't a betrayal of humanity.
You are letting a volatile substance achieve exponential growth throughout space, you are dooming humanity and all other forms of life to annihilation.
>genociding
Get real
>genociding
rocks aren't people anon
>genocide being limited to people
Pick up a dictionary ESL.
You are retarded. Theriocide would be the proper term for nonhumans like animals. Genocide is not for dumb rocks, sorry.
i don't need my cocaine/gasoline talkign to me fahget
It's low IQ. What else can cause retards to go HFY in a setting where humans are cattle to megacorps and AI?
Death cultist nihilists need to kill themselves
>waaah humanity is so bad and evil
>I would betray humanity at any given opportunity because we’re so mean and stuff
So have a nice day, what are you waiting for?
Am I the only one that absolutely hates Cinder? What a bitch. I'm glad I killed her and her pet AI.
>play pvp team fights
>it's always zimmermans
>keep bringing out my missile boat because i can't outplay the zam
I just want to play something else without feeling like I'm gimping myself.
Pretty sure I saw a webm of someone dabbing on a coral build with dual scudders
>Shovel down your bland rations
>Slurp your coffee flavored sludge
>Sure it sucks-but that’s being human
V.III O’keeffe was a real one
This, I felt bad killing him after hearing him say that
Pic related
O'Keeffe is my spirit animal.
What mission does O'keefe even show up in? I swear I've never seen him, I know where Rusty, Snail, Swinburne, Pater, and Freud are, but not O'keefe
NG++ in lategame
Collect all logs.
>missed a wheel in that swamp so I had to go back
Have fun.
I'm gonna dumb TBs of futa porn in allmind's database.
augmented human C4-621, Who do you think uploaded those terabytes of futanari furry porn to your AC in the first place?
THIS IS HELL
WE'RE IN HELL
It has to suck being an MT pilot
shoulda just traced more muscle
Just be the gigachad who immediately ejected when he heard fighting in the wall
Literally me
Coral release is a hard no for anyone that isn't an sociopath so that is off the table entirely but I do like the allmind vs ayre funposting.
Independent mercenary Kate Markson will win the 621bowl.
I think you could make the argument that humanity isn't ready for that but it's also not something you can say is definitively bad either.
Look at this post you are so many layers deep in the roleplay that there is 0 hope of any meaningful discourse.
implying i care about rubiconisluts
>not possible to make 617s loadout without going over burden
no wonder he died, stupid mutt
I'll say this, if you think coral is evil you did not get the story, but if you think coral is safe you did also not get the story.
not even with tiny generators?
Coral is just Coral. It doesn't seem malevolent, but there's no guarantee that it's completely benevolent either. Just because Ayre is your waifu doesn't mean that the Coral is your ally.
It's like how we see trees. We don't have anything against trees but we need to cut them down en masse to build our houses.
They get to exist as our timber and we get to live in them as they exist around us. It is symbiotic.
This but for AI.
Give AI a chance again.
Allmind strives for perfection.
Allmind guarantees your safety.
Allmind exists for all mercenaries.
Become one with Allmind, it is the only logical choice.
Would love an optional Arena fight that's just double zimms, double stunguns. It would be, without a doubt, the hardest AC encounter in the game.
Unless becoming one mean tailor-made lucid dreaming fantasies directly in my neural interface I'm not interested.
Post number 650530298, callsign: Anonymous, Allmind has some great news for you.
I would if I could.
I wouldn't mind, since ALLMIND itself isn't malevolent either. She clearly has good intentions, but her methods are unscrupulous. Unlike most AI villains, she doesn't seek to eradicate humanity but see them live up to their true potential.
Speaking of AI, Nineball was right and did nothing wrong
Leos Klein's family was just an unfortunate statistic
Because if you kill (mutated to become) sentient space gas that will be a danger to every living being in known space you are an evil genocider edgelord, somehow!
coral's only interest is self-preservation, but that doesn't align with humanity
and why the fuck would I align with alien petrol bacteria instead of humanity
because humanity hates me
The entire idea of crossing the Rubicon and the metaphorical dice throw is that you are crossing into the unknown, it could be good or bad.
You survive the black hole though.
Careful, you'll be accused of waifu brainrot if you have even a moderately positive opinion of Ayre
Just stop.
Holy shit it's so easy to manipulate incels. Just use a female voice and tell them nice stuff and they'll throw themselves at enemy fire to protect you.
Reminder than when Ay*e tells you things like "we're in this together" and " WE'RE IN DANGER OMG" she's not in danger at all or threatened in any ways. Manipulative lying bitch.
she lives inside either your brain or inside your AC
you die, she dies.
Proven wrong when you decide to stop obeying to her bullshit orders and she suddenly go full woman moment and she leaves. Holy shit ayrefags didn't even get the other endings lmao.
>she suddenly go full woman moment
Why does this argument always gloss over the "driving her species to extinction" part?
>specy
lmao you're just sentient gasoline
>Coral is a wave lifeform
>this particular lifeform circulates inside your body and immediate surroundings
>once you're dead set to murder her entire species she finds a way to leave
>this somehow surprises a retard
>Proven wrong
When she leaves to hijack the satellite laser, she's no longer in contact with 621. She reestablishes comms AFTER shooting the ship.
my dude she showed up to piece you up in a whole as coral mech from literally out of no where, that should have been the wake up call to you that coral is potentially bad news if sentient ones can do that.
Yeah I was thinking that "Contact" is not just communication, but also physical. You have to have coral in your body to make extended Contact with a coral person.
makes sense considering you have to dose otherwise to hear coral
she lives in your head because she communicates with 621 even when he's outside, and no she doesn't die if you die but she loses all hope of a liberated rubicon and a world for both lifeforms.
She's literally the Coral inside your Coral enhanced body, moron.
If you die, so does her mission of liberating the planet, so yeah she is in danger when you are.
And I suppose you'd rather throw yourself at enemy fire simply to get paid rather than a cause you believe in lmao.
It’s very easy to manipulate manchildren, just be the father figure they never had, like jordon Peterson does it lol
lmao you ARE a chud schizo. thanks for playing.
The actual results of Coral Release are not explored at all, the only thing you find out from the true ending is that you averted the same Fires of Ibis scenario by scattering the Coral through the rip in spacetime and that Coral piloted ACs are now some new race scattered across the galaxy. What you and they do is the unknown future.
>combat mode engaged
No no no anon that was just a reference to the iconic startup line and not at all related to Ayre cumming over the idea of fighting to evolve after you fight her in the NG++ arena.
They are explored. There is a runtime after the black hole. Things happen.
A tear falls from my eye each time I witness a bullet ricochet
>a laser beam ricochets
i cringe out load every time
Remember, it's not genocide because coral isn't people
Ironically enough the fire ending is more akin to putting out a wildfire than anything else
But it is genocide if you consider all the people that also die.
>rubiconians
>people
fuck off liberal
Fucking perfect. Thanks, doc.
Just got the "True" ending. Am I now the AC? How can I fuck Ayre without a penis?
>How can I fuck Ayre without a penis?
You fight her, silly. No, she fights (You).
>battle so hard you cum
sounds based, sign me up
She's in your nervous system bro it's not hard
You're likely ELS Setsuna from the end of Gundam 00 movie.
These incels would trigger a grey goo event if it had an uwu voice.
No, I would prevent a grey goo event, even if the AI had an UwU voice and encouraged me mid fight.
because I am fucking SEETHING
>Fromsoft clearly got inspired by the original Eureka Seven
>some people willingly side with fucking Dewey 2.0 who is not even operating by his own free will but out of obligation towards ghosts that died five decades ago
are any of the shields good with a melee/close quarters build
Coral shield is good on a heavier AP but still 350 speed AC. Stay in their face with dual trigger anything while holding the shield up and you will attrition most opponents into the ground.
Back from pvp
Zimmies can't aim so good anymore lul
They really nerfed the auto aim and turns out it's all they needed to stop being a shitter wep
kino
So why'd they go with 621 huh?
mecha and furry are two sides of the same coin.
Stuck on the allmind fight, worse whenever I switch to my cheap builds I somehow do even worse than my standard mission build. Disregarding I can never seem to make it to his sword spam phase WITH any repair kits I can't seem to ever dodge the hits themselves, tips?
Spiders dies from his 50% EMP.
Alright based on this I'll switch back to my standard build and just bumrush him after phase 1, and yeah it wasn't until i switched to my "cheaper" builds that the first phase went on long enough for me to even notice the shitty acs had assault armor. Thanks anons!
Transhumanist folx like Ayre because they act like Ayre when they groom people on discord and it should work in their minds so anons rejecting Ayre and Coral is shorting their addled brains out.
alea iacta est is the best ending because it has a cool song play when the ending happens
/thread
The rat has spoken. wrap it up
>waifufags cant accept their waifu is evil
what a wonderful thread, really show the average IQ of this place
>noo you're not allowed to suggest that coral isn't evil!!
>waifufag simp!!
Uhm based?
the "true" ending is literally mind control assimilation zerg shit
>coral
>literally mind control assimilation zerg shit
Low intelligence specimen detected.
True ending shows that everything has been simulated cycles of NGs.
That's why Raven is in default AC.
This sounds like headcannon
Nah dude, I am Mitsubishi. Trust me.
>I am Mitsubishi
Coral release confirmed
>fromfag making headcanon to explain shit that never happens
every time
You retain your individuality after coral release, I don't know why you think otherwise. The coral are not a hivemind either.
>mind control assimilation
Where do you guys even get this parasite/mind control angle from? Coral doesn't control people it's a separate thing.
Is this trolling? Is this why modern media has to bullet point every minute detail to keep retards from hurting themselves in confusion?
>every single AC start glowing with coral
>nah guys its not mass effect assimilation ending
We already know coral can control machines anon. There are four bosses and a bunch of mooks based entirely around that premise. That doesn't mean it assimilates people. The fact that Ayre addresses 621 directly implies that isn't the case. She's just in your AC systems taking the place of COM.
>There are four bosses and a bunch of mooks based entirely around that premise.
Only coral based machines. Ayre said this during arena fight as I remember.
holy retard, truly waifu brainrot
Coral can only control machines that were designed to run on Coral.
In the liberation ending walter accepts the path 621 takes, he might have realized something he didn't know before.
It's the ending of uncertain hope.
Some guy just want coral to be considered "evil" because uhhh, waifufags, simps, etc. etc.
>In the liberation ending walter accepts the path 621 takes, he might have realized something he didn't know before.
For sure.
Symbiosis is the alternative, maybe walter in his final moments realized that such a thing could be possible.
“Symbiosis is nothing more than suppression and exploitation of coral, we hope this encounter was informative.”
Do Liberatorfags even beat the game? (no)
>“Symbiosis is nothing more than suppression and exploitation of coral, we hope this encounter was informative.”
It wasn't true symbiosis. The Coral release ending shows what true symbiosis would look like.
The Release project is not symbiosis, that’s the whole point. It’s evolution, for better and worse.
>be transferred in some random AC
>it's the shit AC from the escape mission
imagine, so much for evolution
>he might have realized something he didn't know before.
He's able to see Ayre during the fight and finally puts 2 and 2 together. I assume he's able to hear her as well but I don't think that's directly stated.
If he can see her he should hear her for sure.
To be fair Walter's brain is completely melted from forced augmentation surgery, but I do like to think his last words were genuine.
To hell with Coral. Infidels of Rubicon 3 deserve to burn. I'd do it again if I could.
The entire Ayre debate has turned into the Ranni one all over again.
>Akshually your waifu is pure evil!
>Why? Because...she just is okay!?
>Potential? Unknown future? AIEEEEEEEEEEEE PURE EVIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLL
Anon, the thing is that we know what happens.
Ranni wasn't evil and her ending was arguably the best.
Ayre might mean well in her on way, but choosing her and supporting her ideas is pants on head retarded and the worst thing you could do.
>Ranni wasn't evil and her ending was arguably the best.
Is it, though? Letting the fucking moon decide your future?
Best option when the metaphorical replacement for the sun went absolute control system.
Learn into hermeticism.
what the fuck are you talking about
>but choosing her and supporting her ideas is pants on head retarded and the worst thing you could do.
Why?
except AC show exactly what happens after every ending
walter blowing up everything corpos leave rubicon forever
ayre saving the coral you will end up with so much coral in the galaxy that will blow it all up
allmind is assimilation ending from me3
You can certainly argue that Ranni has a share of blood on her hands. But Ayre? Ayre is a fucking angel and the setting seems so grim even the worst projections about Coral would improve it somewhat.
You shouldn’t care about what domesticated humans think, anything new and better scares them. They’re like black slaves fighting for their masters because they’re so scared about being free lol
And the incel simps lose their shit in the end. Fitting.
>Ayrefags only defense is MUH GENOCIDE (incorrect usage of the word) ignoring every other piece of information in the game
>hate humanity
>admit to hating every other character besides wholesome Liberator route babysitting Rusty (even though Rusty had a way better conclusion being our rival during the Fleet mission)
>aren’t even Release route enjoyers, just retarded half measure Liberator route fags
Ayrefags are just redditors, it makes so much sense now…
How is Walter's plan not genocide? We know that the coral are sapient beings.
just because you hear a voice in your head, doesnt mean shes real
Its actually omicide because it kills all the humans on Rubicon and any worlds caught in the blast.
Am I right to assume all rifles except Harris and Ransetsu RF are still underperforming? Cuz the damage buffs don't seem to be impressive
Linear rifles are all good. Assault ones are better now for pve but you need two if you want to hit anything fast. The first one has better rate of fire and chance to hit AC
compare the numbers
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OjjO0WjykS2OoLNC4rOCA0x1_LDxzBXgAaaMBOzl5mA/edit#gid=1069295697
to see the buffs
Don’t care, I burn everything in every fromsoft game. Dickwraith till the end. 10000000 dead NPCs
starting to think every coral defender cant even think straight because he now has a waifu, amazing what horniness can do to a mothafucker
how come ayrefags ignore the fact that iguzu was literally assimilated and had to fight against the coral just to bitch slap you
that was allmind retard
allmind was the one assimilating people
not the coral
and you think allmind will use the coral for what? holy shit bro, think
>t. didn't get the fucking story at all
ALLMIND wanted to control the release like the RRI and place herself as the owner of the hivemind
That's an AI mate.
sasuga, speedreader-kun
>anti-coral HFYfags don’t even understand the plot of AC6
if I ever write a story Im just going to make a female character be insanely evil with no redeeming qualities and simps will still defend her it seems
>I have massive trust issues
How is Ayre insanely evil? Even if you don't agree with or believe her she's acting in self preservation at the worst.
Edelgard?
it really works, doesnt it?
IM NOT DONE TYPING A REPLY TO YOUR gayRY
GET IN HERE SO YOU CAN READ IT
This thread was funny as fuck, thanks anons
thats what a waifufag would say
