I'm trying to get into this game and I just started, just left shady sands and am on my way to vault 15 and got this random encounter with a nuka truck that had 8500 bottle caps, did I get extremely lucky??

Yeah
What's your LCK score?
9, I just copied someone else's build off google since I had no idea what to spec into, am I set for caps for the game now??
Yeah and by copying some meta build you also killed all the fun of making your way in a hostile world
Good job moron
I am a moron, I need the help otherwise I just give up after I die a million times, I have adhd brain
Just talk to everybody and steal everything not bolted down.
Then you will drop Fallout regardless.
maybe, but I'm pushing myself to try to do this.
You can do it bro. Don't let that fool intimidate you. I was clueless my first playthrough. Build was shit and I put points all over the place. Still managed to make it through without a lot of trouble.
Why would he drop it? It's not that hard. You can win by just skipping quests and killing everyone. It's not your special game that has to be played only your way.
It's a slow game. I'm not chastasing him for following a build. I'm telling him ADHD is invompatible with it's gameplay. Rushing to the end requires knowledge of the game he likely doesn't have.
Who said he'll rush. What if he's trying to train himself to overcome that shit. Stop making assumptions about him. He probably doesn't need more negative shit.
>mmmuuuhhh muh negativity
What the frick is this resetera? Shut the frick up
When's the wedding lads?
Wow. Maybe take it easy and think before throwing out insults willy-nilly, huh buddy? Seems to me the only "hostile" one here is you! Take a deep breath for me, okay, and try again. We can do better.
have a nice day
I will Love the hate out of you. Just you wait.
You know if it was any other game then I would agree with you.
But in fallout it's very easy to soft lock yourself with a shitty build.
>But in fallout it's very easy to soft lock yourself with a shitty build.
You mean
> In every CRPG ever made it's very easy to soft lock yourself with a shitty build.
RPG devs cannot into gameplay design, so I always google the best builds for every RPG I play.
He can play how he wants. Better than quitting because he doesn't know what he's doing. Maybe he just wants to explore anyway.
>pick 3 agility
>suffer for the rest of the game
>you also killed all the fun of making your way in a hostile world
I tried playing this game blind and died to a rat in the first cave. That wasn't fun so I uninstalled.
>got filtered by a rat
The first enemy. Good game.
Yeah that's a lot of caps early on
Yes. There's special random encounters based on luck.
8500? The frick?
Congrats OP, you're now playing on easy mode
Kinda unrelated, but still somewhat related since it's the same director - I like how in Wasteland 3 every weapon type can use pulse ammo. You have pistols and assualt rifles that use that ammo, but you invest in assault rifles and pistold and not in energy weapon.
Wiki/walkthrough culture played a large part in ruining videogames more or less forever
Frick your luck, Anon.
just wait until you find the red ryder
umm, op here, i just got a random encounter where i found a red ryder bb gun at a car store, is that what you mean?
I also just cleared out vault 15 and was on my way back to shady sands
shoot people in the eyes with it and watch them cease to exist.
8500 caps is nothing, I remember having around 200000 when I went to blow up mutants base
Wait, isn't that the encounter in the *second* game? That's supposed to be the joke - you get frickton of caps for free... but they are useless because at that point in time nobody uses caps anymore.
That encounter was in reference to the original in the OP.
